Beer is amazing, lots of options. I really loved the sour & fruity options. The pizza was delicious and that caught us by surprise. Love all the community flyers and events hosted here! Ambiance is family friendly and location is fairly large. Service was great but they do look under staffed. Love the idea of pinball machines and beer. I highly recommend coming here!

When a biochemist and a classically trained French pastry chef couple opened shop, we got Long Beach Beer Lab. Together they combine science, fermentation, and local quality ingredients to create some awesome craft beers and baked goods. The brewery specializes in sours but they also make IPAs, lagers, and stouts. I'm not much of a beer drinker so I appreciate that they have a sparkling Moscow mule cocktail, a house Chardonnay and a house Cabernet Sauvignon. LB Beer Lab is on my top 5 list of pizzas in this city and it's all because of my love for the Mushrooms Wild pizza. All of their pizzas are made with a beer malt sourdough crust and I recommend dipping the crust in their very garlicky marinara sauce! The Mushrooms Wild pizza has a creamy ricotta base, Local Long Beach mushrooms, caramelized onions, confit garlic, mozzarella, and topped with spring greens, fresh cherry tomatoes, and a lemony, parsley dressing. Yes, it's like a salad pizza and I love the zesty dressing! Their Margherita is quite popular with its star shaped crust and the Spicy Summer with Worthington Meatless pepperoni is good too. In fact, all of their items are vegetarian here. The garlic knots and beignets are bite-sized with a mochi-doughnut-like chewy texture. Both are great for sharing. Order at the register and they'll pour your drink and serve your food when it's ready. Food comes out pretty quickly. Plenty of indoor seating and family friendly with board games and lots of pin ball machines! Free parking lot in the back too! Check their schedule as they have different hours of operation and are closed on Thursdays. Happy to see they have expanded and opened a couple of other locations in Long Beach too!

    Pizza was so good!

The service, ambiance, drinks and food were so delicious! The staff were really friendly and helped me pick out a few options for drinks. Very safe space overall! I will definitely be back

Delicious sourdough crust!! I loved the mushroom pizza I ordered- it tasted very fresh and a nice citrus zing to each bite because of the lemon dressing on it. I came here for trivia night (every Wednesday 7-9pm). It was super fun and great ambiance to go with friend or small groups. Even solo. My friends also liked their pizzas and drinks. Staff are very friendly and nice. The place has arcade games and lots of events regularly. Nice discovery!

Today we celebrated my Ninos birthday. It was our first time here & I must say, we had a very good time with our kiddos, family & friends. They had an isle of pinball machines & a separate little table with other games. They also had a guitarist playing live music. The staff were very nice! Even though the food was vegan, it was tasty. The Margarita pizza was amazing! We also ordered a grilled cheese & a side of fries for the kids. Now for the drinks.... I ordered a spike berry lemonade slush. That was right up my alley, delicious! My husband ordered the Sublime Beer & the Dad Beer. We would definitely come back!

My entire family loves this place! The pizza is good, the selection of beers is great, the ambiance is very chill and the staff is always friendly. You can enjoy sports on the tvs, pinball/arcade games and board games in the main room, and cozier and more intimate vibes upstairs.

If you're ever around the area you need to stop by!! The pizzas here are so good, you won't be disappointed! The service is exceptional and they let you try beers before purchasing them which is amazing. They are super attentive and they allow for you to bring your dogs and of course I took my puppy with me! We went on a Friday night and the music was perfect, the crowd was super cool and everyone seemed like they were enjoying their time!! The pinball machines are super fun and the place is filled with lots of locals!

Highly recommend the Rib Crusher 50000, a triple hazy IPA collab with ambitious ales. 12oz is $9 and 6oz is $6. Super smooth, not too hoppy for a triple, and has a slightly fruity sweetness to it. Nice brew while enjoying the NBA game on TV.

This brewery is pretty awesome. They make their own bread and therefore their own pizza and other sides. We got the seasonal pizza, garlic knots and fries. All were excellent, especially the pizza. The beer is also great. It looks to be seasonal as their tap seems to rotate with many different beers ranging from lagers to stouts to sours and ipas. The space has opened up to a new larger area where there's also pinball machines and games. Overall this vibe and upstairs is also very cool.

The excellent May The Schwartz Be With You Schwarzbier from Long Beach Beer Lab!

Steve and I recently had some beer frombLong Beach Beer Lab and I have to say we were both highly impressed with what we had. It was a beer type we don't often get but usually enjoy, a Schwarzbier, a kind of dark lager called May The Schwartz Be With You which is a reference to Spaceballs movie. We really liked this beer a lot! We enjoyed the flavors of maltiness, smokiness and hoppiness. The beer is nice and dark in appearance and in body it goes down nice and smooth. An excellent Schwarzbier, that much is for certain!

    Brandye K.

A solid OK. Fun building, cool to see inside of the beer lab. They have trivia and things. Would not come here specifically for dining. Very limited menu. Ordered the margarita pizza which was said to be the best, it wasn't bad. Lots of crust. I order a side of basil oil, so much crust you need 2 sauces. Service was Eh- just sufficient. You have to order at the counter, you have to go back to the counter to get your items, there are signs to bus your table and they still have a tip prompt when paying.

Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. The food is good, space is a comfortable neighborhood vibe, and all that. But truly the folks here are amazing humans. Always friendly, warm, and welcoming. If the management team is reading this, you all have a great group of people there! We will definitely be back (again and again and again) and you should too!

Located in the quaint Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, street parking was plentiful right outside the restaurant. We came around noon on Saturday, and thankfully despite their busy brunch rush we were seated immediately. Even though all of their seating is outdoors, tables are shaded by overhanging canopy and just added to the cute southern Italian bistro vibes of the place. The menu had a solid selection of both brunch and lunch items - I loved the Burrata di Campagna, which was flavorful with just the right amount of tart from the heirloom tomatoes. For my main meal I had to go with the Casarecce - one of their pastas that's made fresh in house daily. The braided pasta was wonderfully textured and soaked up all the pesto sauce without being overly oily, a perfect meal for a hot summer day. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. Perhaps I am a little biased, but the laminated dough was perfectly light and flaky, encasing a very generous filling of hazelnut chocolate cream. Our check at the end of the meal even came with a custom drawn postcard by one of the Nonna Mercato service staff - another present to add on to what was already a gift of a meal!

Our favorite is the chocolate concha. It is crisp, fresh, and has the slightest sourdough flavor. I tried the dona one time and while it was great. It was just too much for me. Literally, we had to bring it home. I would suggest splitting this because of its size and it has a lot of almond and jam so it's hefty. I also tried their jamon which was sooooo good. I would get this again. For drinks we have tried their Atole, Dulce de Leche and Horchata with Cold Brew. My new favorite is the Horchata. It is so well complimented by the cold brew and it's so smooth and not too sweet. My husband also liked the taste he tried but he went with my now second favorite the Dulce de Leche. What I love about this place is that everything is balanced. Its not too much of anything just perfect. The concha isn't too sweet. It's balanced by the sourdough which is complex. The coffees which anywhere else would be a sugar bomb are just right. The sugar highlights the brilliance of whatever it is paired with whether that is bread or coffee.

Service was great, such a sweet young lady that helped us. Here's my review on each item: Dubai Cheesecake - pretty presentation. It was good for the most part but I think I expected more. I personally wouldn't order again. Chocolate chip cookie - very good cookie. The right amount of chocolate chips and it was really soft which I enjoy my cookies soft. I would order another. German Chocolate cake - oh my god!!! That was one of the best German chocolate cakes I've ever had. I enjoyed how moist the cake was and the nutty texture on top was next level. I would definitely order another slice. The Cinnamon roll - this was my favorite thing we ordered. This cinnamon roll was to die for! Pillowy soft and the right amount of sweetness. The roll was so good with the nuts alone that I didn't even need or use the icing we asked for on the side. This was such a delight.

They only call out names for in-person orders, so you'll be waiting a while if you don't speak up! They have a great selection of desserts and coffee drinks that I didn't have room for this time, but I'll definitely be saving those for my next trip to Long Beach. If you're looking to try something a little different from the usual spots like Porto's, I highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be returning to try more flavors!

My partner and I visited OBRA HandBakery for brunch after our marathon and this was a solid choice…read more It's quite the small shop with seating on the counter and 3 tables on their outside patio area. Parking - Free in a shared large parking lot, plentiful We were both intrigued by their potato balls, empanadas, and breakfast burrito in which we ordered 4 potato balls (2 chicken/2 beef), 2 empanadas (1 chicken, 1 beef), and 1 breakfast burrito to share. Our order came out in about 10 minutes or so, not too busy. Total came out to about $42 which is quite expensive for the amount of items in my opinion. 1. Potato Balls - By far my favorite menu items from the visit, they weren't as crispy/crunchy as Portos but they're bigger. Portions are big and it's filled with your choice of filling, very delicious, highly recommend 9/10 2. Empanadas - Usually I love empanadas but these were a bit disappointing on my end. They were softer than empanadas that I usually have, although delicious still but definitely not my favorite from the bakery. 6.5/10 3. Breakfast Burrito - Talk about portions, this breakfast burrito is loaded with ingredients, eggs among many other ingredients, super flavorful and savory. It does have a bit of a kick to it which adds to the taste, pretty good! 8.5/10 Overall, a solid brunch spot, although a bit expensive, it's still worth to check them out. Pretty decent tasting potato balls, breakfast burrito is big in portion and delicious as well, along with their empanadas which can be a hit or miss depending on the style of empanadas you like. Definitely a good spot for a snack even if you're in the area.

At the end of the day, that's exactly where I sat on the countertop realizing it's first come first serve. Our server was great we were immediately greeted. She took our order this place has a lot of bake goods muffins, cinnamon rolls, cake pies you name it. couldn't help it to order the cinnamon roll, which is pretty huge. Unfortunately the cinnamon roll is bland but pretty big good enough to share. What are their protein omelette which comes with a muffin or toast, picked out of toast and this omelette is all egg whites spinach, grilled chicken, breasts, peppers, onions, tomatoes, with cheese also comes with a side of potatoes, my friend, what are their huevos rancheros. I like how their jams are homemade which is pretty nice pretty busy so do you expect the wait time but it kind of goes by quick I highly recommend
