STEPH JUDGEMENT: Nice chill brewery with friendly people and decent beers. The last time I was here it was still Timeless Pints, which I used to frequent when I worked in the area. The decor had changed, but the place still felt familiar. It was very mellow on a Wednesday evening, which was fine with us. We were there to meet up with a friend and I decided on a flight, as I always do when visiting a brewery for the first time. I got: 562 hazy Golden Lighthfoot Golden Ale Latch hook Jesus American lager Jerk lessons west coast ipa The hazy was quite good and my favorite, and the rest were fine, if not totally memorable. Hubby: smells like friendship Amber lager (seemed a little more bitter than expected) No food truck on this night. With so many good breweries in town I can't say this is a destination-type place for us, but If someone wanted to meet here again I'd have no problems coming back.

Very chill laid back and lo-key. Prices are decent but the ambiance is the best. Got a sweet parking spot and service was excellent.

This is a difficult review to write. Mostly because, I loved Timeless Pints, the brewery that Syncopated purchased and sent TP owners Chris and Mary into retirement (hoping? Hi C and M, hope you are well!). As a loyal TP fan, a TP fanboy?... I wanted to NOT love Syncopated, the place that took MY PLACE away. My "Cheers". Freaking Stacy! How can I POSSIBLY like the space WITHOUT her??? Except: the beer, the ambiance, the patronage, the food at Syncopated. All five stars. As a beer drinker, the variety rates 5/5. As a dark beer aficionado, Syncopated is as good as it gets in LBC. 'Coffee Pants' is extraordinary. Coffee and vanilla notes and smooth as H-E-double hockey sticks, at 7.3% - as close to a perfect coffee porter as you'll find in Long Beach. Or So Cal. Or Anywhere. In the mood for a less dark but strong brew? Go Five 6.2 Hazy IPA (yes, 6.2%) or Jerk Lessons West Coast IPA (6.7%). Both very good. Food: Sync doesn't make their own, but they do invite food trucks regularly and there are lots of delivery options nearby which they welcome. Recommend Me-N-Ed's pizza, just expect a 45-60 minute wait. Order when you get there. Overall... I was not looking forward to writing this, but I was compelled (by Coffee Pants?) to do so. Try Syncopated. They will not disapoint.

Superb local craft beer location featuring Vegan food trucks on Monday, pinball machines, corn hole, shuffle boats and excellent staff on Saturday, we only found it accidentally on a bike ride. Ambiance excellent and great prices!

    Super dog friendly too!

Two industry vets teamed up and opened up a small batch brewery with 14 different styles that rotate regularly. Awesome event space with occasional live music, swap meets, food trucks, and just a lot of fun

The location is small but comfortable. Love the vibe there. Had fun having my drinks and playing their games. Service was great! Pretty cool location to check out.

Fun spot to grab a drink. Hands down my go to brewery. Beer is delicious, staff is amazing and they have fun things to do. Skee ball is free, board games to play, Darts are cheap to play. They have bands a few times a month and foot trucks most nights.

Very, very kind service. I think the beers taste great! An average brewery size, small with a little porch area. Indoor decor is super cool! Had the Sailor's Legs (strong), Coffeemaker (a little lighter), and Brown Ale. All very good stouts and dark beers! Parking is limited.

This brewery is not associated with the previous brewery! The head brewer has the same name as the old brewer, but don't let that mislead you. It's worth checking out! They have a nice crowd of people that come in for bingo and are testing out some other events to get people in the door. Customer service was great. Don't skip on this place. I enjoyed the ""Heading for the light " which is a dry hopped dry blond. It has a nice aroma and subtle sweetness that really compliments the style of beer. I also enjoyed their brown ales

Been coming here since their soft opening and thought I already left a review! Syncopated took over the old location of Timeless Pints on the border of LB and Lakewood over by the airport. It's tucked away in an industrial center, like most breweries, and has a decent amount of parking. You'll often find a food truck parked and lots of outdoor seating and a well-ventilated indoor tasting area. Chris, formerly of Ballast Point, is the mastermind brewer behind Syncopated. He was able to pair his passion with Jason of Dutch's Brewhouse, and a winner was born. There is a large draft selection and a variety of beer to please all palates. If you're lucky, you can also catch their sponsored ice hockey team, The Shredders, over at Lakewood Ice. Cheers!

Great beer. Great service. Love the atmosphere here local vibe. Dog and family friendly. Food trucks, live music on most weekends. Great place to bring the whole family to enjoy a delicious cold one. Brewer is very talented, knowledgeable, and makes amazing beer to be enjoyed over and over again. Take your beer to go with a crawler 32oz can or bring your own growler to fill. Beer ready to enjoy at home. Come on in and check it out for yourself. I highly recommend Syncopated.

We live close to Syncopated Brewing, so we walked the dogs over Friday night. They are dog & child friendly. They had a few outside tables set-up for a small band and some people had their own camp chairs. Benders Food Truck was also there. Great relaxing way to spend an evening. Nice selection of beer - we had a good ha y IPA & a pale ale. (There seemed to be plenty of street parking if you didn't walk.)

Golden Lightfoot and Nothing but Time
    Denise F.

Love a craft brewery that stays true to the brews. I enjoyed the Golden Lightfoot and my husband enjoyed the Nothing but Time. Clean space, friendly people, delicious smelling popcorn and variety of beers to choose for a fair price in So Cal. Helpful signage literally pointing us the way for our first time visit. We will be back when we visit again. Cheers!

Dog pawty at the brewery. We just need some nonalcoholic doggy beer now lol

Cool ambiance! Love it here. I sometimes struggle at breweries because I'm gluten-free but they have a yummy house-made hard seltzer!

Got 3 smalls to make a flight (Calamansi Corner [fruited gose for $4.50], Positano Pils [Italian Pilsner for $4.50], and a Bohemian Spaceman [Czech Dark Lager for $4.50 which I really liked]), along with a Full of Gandalf the Crisp [New Zealand Pilsner for $7 which I didn't like as much]). The Calamansi Corner we had before, and is the one my wife likes a lot. I saw my mother-in-law sip that same beer TWICE in one sitting, which I've never seen her do before for any beer. Like daughter like mother? My favorite last time was the Baktuns Imperial Stout which I was really looking forward trying with fresh pizza. Alas, they were out and it wasn't available to take home either...need to remember that: if I really like a special edition beer from Ambitious, need to enjoy it as much as possible. Did get 3 four packs of their Grandpapa Kolsch as gifts ($16 each) to spread the word. A good a reason as any to force me to check some bags on our next trip.

Also they had the baseball game showing, another big factor to it. There's parking in the lot next to it but it's very small and share it with a few other businesses. Probably easier to find street parking along the front or the neighborhood. There's patio seating along the front, the main bar area with some seating and then there's the massive backyard area which everyone was. I don't know how often but they have food vendor on hand but tonight they were serving BBQ. Beside that, you could also order from the pizza shop next door with the QR code on the table and they'll deliver it to you. We ordered a couple of beers to start which you could also sample some to see which one you like. Pricewise is decent. Pretty much similar to other breweries nearby. There was also loads of family with kids enjoying their night. The back patio was packed but we got lucky with someone leaving the table. I did want a snack but trying to get the menu from the QR code wasn't quite cooperating so I had to go next door to the pizza place to order. That was an ordeal as it packed and it took forever to get the food. Anyways, we also ordered some of the bbq from the vendor which was quite tasty. The platter came with two sides which they ran out of everything besides the mac and cheese. Double that and with brisket, chicken and rib, toast, chimichurri sauce and pickled veggies. By the time we received the plate, we were quite full so only had a bite of the brisket and chicken. I'm not sure how often they have food vendors on site or if it's only a weekend thing. The place was quite fun. It's a big family friendly place so everyone is out and about. Their beer on tap choices are quite nice as well as bottled beer in the fridge. Staff are all friendly and sweet. Majority of the people were outside as it's a bigger spot. A fun place for a gathering over beer and food.

Mid week when we arrived which wasn't too crazy. There was no one on the patio which was nice as it gave us first choice for a seat...lol... Everyone was seating inside. The place itself isn't that big. You have the bar area with some bar seating. Then there's a couple of tables inside and of course the patio which is along the sidewalk. Personally I prefer sitting outside for the people watching. The staff were all amazing and very friendly. Places like that make the experiences more enjoyable. You want someone who is friendly and respectful. As we were there early, we grabbed one of the beer which they have quite a good selection on tap. There's also wine if you're not into beer. When it came time to grab some food, we were able to get a table inside. Majority of the breweries tends to serve pretty much the same things, pizza sandwiches and salads. No complaints here. Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious. Simple but tasty. And then there was ham pizza I believe with onions and peppercini. That was also a favorite of the night. Overall, the place was quite fun. Not a big brewery and more intimate. The crowd was great and as most places are very kid and family friendly. There was couple of kids when we arrived. Service was great. Food and drinks were enjoyed and the service and staff were excellent. Street parking available along the front but also along the neighborhood.
