This place is in a small strip mall behind Roxanne's. Small parking lot but plenty of street parking. Thank you Wille's for offer sanitizers during this pandemic. I got the 100 ml glass bottle which was freaking cute and keeps the germs away. Place your order online and pickup in the BACK of the building. They're open until 5 right now... but everything is subject to change. Stay safe!

Stopped by to pick up hand sanitizer during the COVID crisis. Excellent service this distillery is providing. Hand sanitizer is 75% alochol! In addition, we picked up some Vodka (aka Long Beach Water). 99 proof, very smooth. Once this is all behind us, definitely will be back! See the labels, Long Beach all over the labels! Very nice! Thank you!

This place is awesome! I was able to pick up hand sanitizer for my staff at school. Robert was friendly and worked with me on the price.

I assumed that their focus was on whisky, and certainly not on food. But then, one day, I passed by in the evening, when Drift was actually open. I saw a lot of people inside, so I thought I would check it out. The moment I walked inside and smelled that wonderful smoky flavor, I had a feeling my assumption was very wrong. I checked out the menu, which had me at brisket, and I committed to eating there as soon as possible. As soon as possible was the next day. I tried the brisket, which was fantastic! It was moist and tender without being fatty. And, it had a great smoky flavor. I went back to Drift four times that week, including twice in one day. Everything I have tried has been great - the pulled pork, beef rib (absolutely amazing) and turkey. I haven't tried the chicken or pork ribs yet, but I plan to very soon. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that the bbq baked beans are among, if not the best, I have ever eaten. Service at Drift has always been really friendly. The environment is casual and fun (at times a little too noisy for me, but I'm pretty old and have a little trouble hearing conversation in noisy environments). I'm so glad I looked past my initial perception of Drift and gave it a try. It has become one of my favorite restaurants in San Clemente.

Only negative comment is still their traditional BBQ sauce isn't great, it's a fruity sweet flavor. I wish they had a "normal" BBQ sauce. They do have a spicy BBQ sauce option if you ask.

The location is a bit hidden and the operations is small, but the quality of their spirits is quite impressive. You can tell that they dedicate their time, effort, knowledge, and care into producing their beverages. I would suggest for anyone reading this to do the tour! There will also be a tasting with crackers and water to cleanse the palate. My favorite was the Skyline Gin, Espresso Liqueur (I can imagine Karen rolling her eyes ), and the Peated Whiskey. Karen was so wonderful from start to finish. She loves getting to know people and I loved hearing her stories. I could listen to them for days and learn so much from her and about her! Give this place a try! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. If you didn't, I apologize in advance.

She's very personable and very talkative, but she's very knowledgeable as well. Buckle up for at least a 2 hour experience. Located in a business warehouse plaza, you'll sit together getting to know one another and get background information on Karen and Greg's life which was nice to hear. The small warehouse packs a huge punch of information you receive. You get to understand how everything works and everything that Greg makes which was fun to learn about. Once you sit down and start tasting is where the most fun starts. They provide you with some water crackers and a lesson about drinking water and hydrating. And you get to taste all of he whiskey, rum and gin they make which is a worthwhile experience.
