Belmont Brewing used to be a regular on our restaurant rotation. For an unknown reason, we have not visited this marvelous restaurant for quite a number of years. This nonsense ended today! Upon entering, we were greeted and seated. Steven, our server, taking our beverage orders. My wife and I shared the Cevichi and Battered Calamari. She also enjoyed the Caesar Salad and I had the Clam Chowder. The portions were generous! The quality was A1! The service excellent! My friends, make the trip to Belmont Brewing Co. and enjoy quality and good service at a reasonable price. Note, portion control is not in effect here. Be ready to pack some delicious food home. I always thought this place was small considering the proximity to how close it was to the beach. Turns out, they have a lot of seating and its really nice inside. It's got that touch of wood that makes you feel like you're at a seafood restaurant. We were talked in to coming here for happy hour and My God, do they have an amazing one here. Especially on Mondays. Before i get to the food, they had a great Grey Goose and tonic for 8 bucks on that particular day so ill have to remember about it. My partner and i shared the spinich and artichoke dip and it was pretty good with their tortilla chips. Our friends got the sliders and fish tacos and they both looked great. The tacos got a great positive where i guess the sliders fell below the mark. I will definitely be coming back to this place for a real dinner one day. Their strawberry blonde was a good beer, but I was definitely into their Mexican Lager which is shockingly only seasonal. They might want to change that because trying the Marathon lined up with every voice that told me its not great. read more

This is one of my favorite and underrated spots when I'm spending time near the beach. I usually have only dined in for dinner and lunch, but yesterday I had the pleasure of trying the brunch menu. They open at 9am on Saturday and Sundays! The breakfast portions are big. I got "The Works Skillet" so I had a little bit of everything. I paired my meal with a delicious peach Bellini. I highly recommend stopping here for breakfast if you're working out at the beach early morning and need a bite to eat with a beautiful view. The server was extremely sweet and friendly. Very laid back & chill vibe. Parking can be tricky depending on the day and time but there is a big parking lot that you have to pay for it or street parking and there is also a supermarket's parking too (just saying). I didn't try their foods yet but just their beers since do jogging by a lot since it's right on the jobbing/running/walking path on the waterfront. They do had indoor and patio over look the water, and a big full bar. Nice and friendly staff and their beers are quite good. It's been years since I was last here. And then it was lunch. First off, the place has an amazing view of the beach and pier as it's at the start of it. It's also along the bike path so there's loads of people out and about. Lunch comes with a view.... I meet some friends for a late dinner. Obviously you couldn't really see much of the beach but with the lights on the pier, it was quite nice. There was a good amount of people dining on the patio which I feel like it's the whole point of visiting this place. There's indoor dining as well as the bar area. But outside was nice. They have a pretty massive fireplace in the middle of the restaurant. Don't think it's really a warmth factor but more for the ambiance...lol... We sat at a table along the glass that looks out to the path and beach. Any table outside is great. Abbey took care of us. Very sweet and friendly. Even though it was a late dinner we didn't feel rushed one bit. I don't know if they change the menu seasonally but some dishes did look new to me. It's been a long while but some items looked familiar. Cocktails and wine menu were good. Started off with a glass of wine. A nice way to relax with dinner. Appetizers, the steamed mussels with an extra order of the garlic bread. The broth was delicious. Honestly it was good that u could just enjoy that itself with bread. Tomatoes soup was also ordered and that was served with a puff pastry. Starters were great. Entrees, the fish and chips which was recommended. It was quite nice with meaty potions of fish. And the fennel sausage pasta. That was nice with the red sauce, chunks of sausage with sliced bell peppers and covered in cheese. First bite was great. And the poke bowl. That alone was picture perfect with all the colors. Tuna and salmon chunks, avocado, cucumbers, shrimp, rice, edamame, crispy onions on top of mixed greens. That was served with a the poke sauce. Also an order of the Brussels sprouts. No room for dessert as we were quite full from everything. Service was good. Abbey was excellent. Just a bunch of broskis having brewskis. I visited with a group of 10+ for a round of beers to celebrate the birthday boy. My drink of choice was the Marathon light ale, 4.5% abv. The beer was cold, light, and served in an abnormally large glass. I also snagged the mediterranean burger with no bacon and subbed a veggie patty. This came stacked with a yummy fig-dijon mustard, goat cheese, arugula, brioche bun, and the crispiest set of fries. A tasty and filling meal, but the flavor profile tasted a bit off. What really stands out about this brewery is their insanely gorgeous patio. It's the perfect place to grab a beer and soak in all the beachside rays. read more

Writing an updated review. Had the fish n chips. Fries still on the soft side. Fish was not as good as I remembered. Rest of their party did not like the food. One person ordered a burger and said the one she had at Buffalo Wild Wings was better and she would not return. Another member asked not to recommend this place again. We shared the calamari. It was not good. The tempura texture was not really tempura and the quantity was minimal. Quality of the squid was very rubbery. Staff was friendly. Especially the bus boy. Poke bowl is more like a diced sashimi plate with salad greens and a side of jasmine rice. A side of soy sauce with ginger is provided to dress the fixings. The clam chowder is a basic thinner Boston-style with bacon added. It's just a balanced menu with something for everyone and a simple gathering place for family and friends. Tried this place thinking it was going to be a tourist trap, which it is, but not in a bad way. Location is unbeatable, service has been good, and the food is reasonably priced given the location. As you enter the front entrance, you'll check in to give how many in your group and asked if you'll be dining inside or outside! We opted for indoors. Their menu includes a variety of choices. They have appetizers, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads, main entrees, desserts, sodas, teas, coffees to beer and more!!! We opted for burgers and fish and chips!! The burgers were juicy and delicious. I heard the fish and chips were tasty. They're open seven days a week. They offer Happy Hour specials only in the bar area. On a beautiful Sunday recently, we decided to have lunch at Belmont Brewing. You can't beat the view. We have been there many times and love the food, and this time was no different. The service was great, friendly and professional. Our only issue was that, because the outside patio was full, we were seated in the section near the door leading from inside to the outside. Our table was near the area where they store items including dishes, silverware, etc. It was extremely noisy and the staff did not seem to even try to be quiet. Several times during our meal a cart full of dirty dishes was rolled up and down the aisle on uneven payment and the noise was horrible. I am not sure what they can do about this, but I will never sit in that area again. read more

I've been to this restaurant a few times with my husband and grandma. We recently came back for lunch and tried their seasonal alcoholic drinks as well. My husband tried the Bourbon Smash while I had the Fleur de Paradise. Both drinks were very delicious and refreshing. For starters we decided to go with our usual order of Spinach Artichoke Dip and a side of Garlic Bread to share. Both items were delicious and had a decent amount of food for the three of us. For our entrees, my grandma and I each ordered their soup and salad combination. I chose the Caesar Salad with Ahi Tuna and the New England Clam Chowder, while my grandma chose the Goat Cheese & Berry Salad with Baked Tuscan Tomato Soup. My husband ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and thought they were delicious. My husband and I especially enjoyed the Ahi Tuna, as it was full of flavor, fresh, and great quality. I also highly recommend trying their New England Clam Chowder! Our server Austin was very polite and helpful, while making sure we had everything we needed. He also had everything brought out to us quickly. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is calm and spacious with plenty of places to sit. They have a few TVs as well if you want to watch sports. There's also a nice outdoor patio area with many seating options, heaters nearby if it gets too cold, and a beautiful view of the beach (some indoor seating spots have this too). The outdoor seating patio area is where you wanna go for amazing views of the ocean, especially at sunset. This is a great brewery/restaurant to socialize at. I love their large restaurant with lots of options on the menu. And they have seasonal drinks as well. I came here with like 7 other people after work for the first time. Parking was a little annoying but I was able to find a spot not too far. Of course they are known for their beer but I got a wine instead. For food, I tried their fish tacos which are made beer battered. For the price they were pretty large tacos and filled me up. Flavorful and tasted pretty fresh. But not the best. The inside is large and I like that it had a view of the ocean. Service was cool but slow. We sat in the bar area so they checked on us more frequently. It's great for smaller parties are large groups. It's good for hanging out but food isn't all that. read more

It's been years since I've been to Belmont Brewing. I used to live walking distance when I lived in the Shore. Came here for a friends birthday lunch. I had the fish and chips since our server suggested it as one of the most popular. My birthday friend also ordered the same. We both loved the beer battered fish. It was light and crisp. Seemed they were a little skimpy on the fries. They had happy hour on drinks so our server suggested the HH prices are only when you ordered at the bar. So I went to the bar and ordered a Bloody Mary. The bartender told me that the HH price is only if I was sitting at the bar. I told him my server told me to order the drink at the bar and take it back to my table at the patio. He said they weren't suppose to do that. But he did it for me this time. Well for one, on the HH menu it's not specified that the HH prices are only valid in the bar. And why did my server tell me to go to the bar? When I went back to my table and saw our server, I told her what the bartender told me. She did apologize and said she didn't know. We opted for breakfast here for Father's Day because we wanted to go on a bike ride after along the beach. The location is nice and right by the strand. The service was pretty fast and attentive, even as the restaurant started to fill up. That's why I gave 3 stars. The problem was the food. My husband and I split a build your own omelet and French toast. My son had the kids pancakes. The pancakes didn't look too overcooked but my son said they tasted like a campfire. I tried a bite and they definitely tasted really burnt. He wouldn't eat them so he ate some of our food instead. Someone came by to clear plates and asked if my son wanted a box. We told him we wouldn't be taking it because it was burnt and he later sent the server over. She was really sweet about it and removed it from the bill. Again, good customer service! The omelet was pretty good, but the potatoes were undercooked. The French toast looked so promising but was not good either. It tasted really floury for some reason and was a little bitter instead of a little sweet. And French toast is pretty hard to mess up. Overall, I was very underwhelmed and I'm not sure I would give it another try. read more

It was nice get way from the heat in the IE to sit out in the outside patio of this beautiful beach front restaurant. They even offer lap blankets if it gets too cold for some. We drove down to get away from the heat and come down to the beach. We've been here before and like the location and the food, drinks and service. There's a big self paid parking lot within walking distance, but it can get full. If you're going to park on the street read the signs carefully. Just saying. They have a decent craft beer selection and specialty cocktails. Food wise, I can't say that I have ordered anything I didn't like. This time we just stuck to appetizers. The Hawaiian poke is excellent. We asked for a little bit more of the wonton crisps and it was perfect. Then came the carne asada flat bread pizza. Nice and crispy crust with lots of cheese, meat, grilled onions, green peppers. Afterwards, we walked down the pier to see the para-surfers. There were so many beautiful different colors and I was amazed that nobody got tangled up. Anyways, this is nice restaurant and we like coming here. Downtown Belmont Shores was crazy packed! No parking and the lagoon was so packed with people. It's a really nice place to go but when it's that packed I stay away. There is no private oarkinf lot only public parking. Great area since you can see the Queen Mary across the bay.
