I have been here so many times I can't even count. I love these ambiance, and this time I took my BF who has never been there, so it was kind of nice to experience it through his eyes. He was thrilled at the view we got. I always have to have the lobster bisque, which is amazing and this time I also ordered the Blu Apple salad with shrimp. It was very, very good. The BF got fish and chips and it was a very hearty dish. He brought two of the four pieces home. The next day he made fish tacos, he is very thrifty. Belmont Brewing Company consistently has high quality beers, with the Chocolate Blonde and Strawberry Blonde being my favorite brews. Unfortunately, there have been some signs of shrinkflation and decline in quality in the past month as part of menu changes that were rolled out from a change in ownership. The brussel sprouts lacked flavor and were much more charred than the last time we had ordered them, giving it a bitter taste. While the bulgogi tacos tasted the same as usual, there was much less meat. Hopefully they'll be able to bring back the previous quality of these dishes going forward. read more

Visited when on vacation in Long Beach. We were seated right away and ever right away. The server was confused about the fish tacos on the bar menu and if they could be served not in the bar area for the same price, but got it figured out. Food came out quickly and my tacos were good. They don't come with any side or chips or anything. Tried an amber beer and it was good. Had to ask for water after we had pretty much finished our food. During that time we received our drinks so there was time to take her order. The bulgogi and fish tacos were good but the tomato soup was very sweet. Friends and I stumbled upon Belmont Brewing by surprise while walking on the pier. Open seating indoors, but there is a wait for outdoor seating where you have a view of the ocean. We opted to sit inside and service was pretty quick. I don't drink alcohol but friends really like the Strawberry one that they were promoting at the time. They also have a great bar area if you really want that brewery feel. As for the menu, I personally feel the prices were too expensive. We shared two appetizers and my friends ordered a drink each. The bill cost well over $50, so just expect it to not be budget friendly. Still, the food was good, but there was no value in it. read more

This beachside brewery has an outdoor patio that extends almost all the way to the sand, offering incredible ocean views--definitely the highlight, highly recommend grabbing a seat outside. They have plenty of tables, both inside and out, with heat lamps and wind shields to keep things comfortable. We shared a few dishes. The mussels were just okay--a bit underwhelming for me. But the poke bowl more than made up for it: super fresh, with three kinds of fish, all of which were excellent. My friend had the fish and chips, which were crispy, flaky, and really fresh-tasting. There's plenty of parking nearby, including a small strip mall with free spaces, which made getting there hassle-free. It's a little bit odd that the happy hour menu is only available when you sit inside - but at least they have happy hour options.. There was a discount on both food and drinks so we enjoyed a few rounds of a local IPA as well as some bites. I really enjoyed the fish tacos - highly recommend! And my friends LOVED their bulgogi tacos and their chicken quesadillas. Me and my friends went on a Saturday night. We sat outside and it was a nice view. The drinks were good, we ordered, mojito, margarita and the blonde beer. The food was OK, the pasta was too spicy, the steak tasted good but they don't make mashed potato only fries. I ordered chicken with veggies and the chicken was very dry and flavorless. Lets start with location and parking. There was plenty of parking at the beach lot, it's metered but free after 6pm. Very short distance from the restaurant. Location was nice, right on the beach in Belmont, view was amazing. The service. When we arrived we were seated immediately by a very nice young woman. Presented us with a menu and told us who our waiter would be. Within 2 minutes our waiter approached, introduced himself and took our drink order. He came back after about 5 minutes to see if we were ready to order. We started with an appetizer, the Hawiian Style Poke, it was so good we ate it before grabbing a photo. Now, it was good but here's the issue we waited about 25 minutes for get it, we couldn't find our waiter to inquire about the food. But people around us were getting their food before us and they were seated after us. So, once we got it, it was very tasty and fresh. I ordered the Honey Peppercorn Salmon, it sounded amazing. Upon receiving it the presentation was very nice, quite impressive actually. It was a bit over cooked, and I couldn't taste anything like honey, even a slight flavor of it was missing. My wife ordered the Dynamite Shrimp, she really liked it, said it could've used a bit more spice for her but good either way. Now the reason for the 3 star review is the wait time for the appetizer and the meal followed within 10 minutes so we had a table full of food that wasn't brought out in a timely manner and our waiter only checked in with us once after taking our order, so I never got any refills on my ice tea. read more

We arrived at 5:45 PM as a party of 3 and requested an outdoor table. I signed up with my name and number, and was told the wait would be 35 minutes. While waiting, we sat at the bar, ordered drinks, and were actually enjoying ourselves -- until we received the text that our table was ready at 6:33 PM. I walked to the hostess stand (which is fully visible from the bar where we were seated, about 10 feet away), and waited in line behind a few other parties who were also being seated. When I finally got to the front, the hostess told me, "Just a couple more minutes." I waited another 15 minutes. At 6:50 PM, I returned again -- only to be told our table still wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 15-20 minutes. She claimed that the people sitting at our "assigned" table had closed out at 6:33 (the time we got the notification), but hadn't left yet -- and that's why she sent the text. Meanwhile, she continued to seat every other group that arrived after us, while we sat at the bar in full view of the host stand the entire time. No apology, no accommodation, no update unless I initiated the interaction. Just blame-shifting and total disregard. It's baffling and honestly upsetting. We were respectful and patient, yet somehow overlooked -- on what was supposed to be a special occasion. I won't be dining in here again. I'll stick to takeout from now on, which is really unfortunate because the food is good -- but the service was a major letdown. read more

Fries were seasoned well and stayed crispy. The BBC aioli on the burger was next-level -- so good and made the whole burger. The Baja Fish Tacos were the my favorite. The tacos had huge, fluffy pieces of beer-battered fish that were perfectly cooked - crispy outside, light inside, and not greasy at all. Great flavor and really well balanced. Easily some of the best fish tacos I've had in a while. Laid-back beach-town vibes, generous portions, and food that totally delivers. The manager also stopped to in on tables. Not to mention the view has a nice vibe to it, looking at patrons on the boardwalk both in the afternoon and sunset. (Preferably Sunset is best) If you don't mind the furniture and old patio sets. The Poke Bowls were compartmentalized (a scoop of rice, a scoop of edamame, a scoop of mixed greens) without any sort of a delectable sauce to bring it all together. The calamari came as if there was an abundance of calamari when in actuality, it was minimal calamari and almost half the plate was chunks of fried tempura batter. The carne asada flatbread tasted like a frozen pizza and the ceviche tasted mostly of citric acid. Nothing we ate packed a punch or was memorable, unfortunately. So it has been over 20 years since I've eaten here. The last time was just after my kids were born. In between I lived in San Diego, Ventura, Hawaii, and now I'm back and I had to try their food. First off, the views! We were so lucky to come a little early for brunch and be seated on the patio overlooking the ocean. Zach was our server and he was excellent! Attentive, professional, and friendly. He came to check on us a couple times during our meal but did not hover. We were both really hungry so instead of doing the split like we usually do with meals, we each ordered full breakfast and a side of soup and of course, framboise. The French toast was delightful, and the roasted tomato bisque was just as I recalled from years ago. I'm thrilled it's still available on the menu. My friend savored her eggs Benedict with cheesy scalloped potatoes on the side, and she raved about the creamy and flavorful lobster bisque. The exceptional food, atmosphere, and service have solidified this as my go-to brunch spot from now on. I'm not sure if there's free parking in the area, but we parked in the parking lot next to the restaurant which is not free. Had to pay at the kiosk. This place serves american food and alcohol. Came here during lunch time with coworkers. They ordered alcohol and returned to work right after. I ordered the american style kobe burger. It was very delicious but be aware that it's not real kobe beef. Staffs were friendly and had a good meal here. Really nice restaurant by the beach. Would recommend eating here.
