Had heard many good things about Anna's and would agree! went on a Thursday night with a friend, we each got a slice of pizza + beer, garlic knots and split a salad, plenty of food. I had Truffle Shuffle, my friend had Ricky Roni and both said would order again. good crust, good toppings. We had the garlic knots, good, think a little too much with the pizz. We also had the street corn caesar salad. People working were very friendly, will back again!
What caught my eyes was the happy hour menu. $3 slices and $3 beers at 3pm and I love New York style pizzas. Therefore, I had to try it out. We didn't go for happy hour, but they also offered another good deal of two slices and a drink for $10 which I thought was a steal. They had good options on the menu, but my kids and I went for the pepperoni and cheese. It tasted different, but in a good way. A bit greasy packed with flavors. We enjoyed it while sitting inside jamming at the same time to hyped up music. The cozy atmosphere was a vibe. There was also outdoor seating on the patio for you to enjoy on a nice sunny day. Of course, the service provided by Rowan was amazing. I'm looking forward to visiting again, but this time for happy hour.
I'd been here before, but I was pregnant at the time, so I didn't get to enjoy their happy hour. I finally came back, and it did not disappoint! They have $3 beer and $3 pizza slice specials that are such a great deal. Their New York-style pizza is delicious, and don't skip the frozen custard! Rowan recommended the Strawberry Shortcake flavor, and it was absolutely amazing. They even let me sample it first, which was a nice touch. I also didn't realize how incredible their wine selection is. If you remember when this location was Wine Beach, you'll love that they still have an amazing collection of local and discounted wines. Great food, friendly service, a fun atmosphere, and they're open until 10 PM. If you're in Belmont Shore, definitely stop by and treat yourself!
EXCELLENT pizza. Good for groups, kids, casual dining. Check out photo for lunch and happy hour specials! I don't even really care for pizza, but this was a 10/10 for me. We got the honey pepperoni, chicken bacon, and sausage pesto. Happy hour was $3 for NY slices and select beers. We got 3 big slices of pizza and 2 beers for less than $20 with tip. Cool merch too. Outdoor seating along side street and inside is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Wine selection is good. Street parking which can get a little crazy on 2nd street but it's worth it. This is going into the rotation.
Glad I finally got to try Anna's! I love NY pizza and their versions are really unique. I came for HH (until 5pm)- you order at the counter and they deliver it to your table. - $3 pizza and $3 beer. For $1.25 more you can get a larger beer- and they are actually legit beers...not Budweiser or your run of the mill beers. Same goes for the pizza...not your average flavors. Make a it hard to choose. I went with Da green bird..it had vodka sauce..pesto and spicy sausage. Everyone working here are sooo nice and patient with all the questions we were asking. It's a fun retro vibe with a clean aesthetic making it a fun mix. Can't wait to try the other flavors and the custard!
I don't think 2nd Street has a solid pizza pick up spot and this might be it! Still in it's freshmen stages, Anna's Pizza Joint has both a sit down and pick up area. I was able to sit down and try 2 slices and a pint. Energy inside was lively and everyone was having fun. Service was great! They were able to tell me which pies were available by slice since I sat alone and didn't want a whole pie to myself. Both slices tasted great! The pint was refreshing and cold! Please stop by if you need a slice or a pie to go! Can't wait to come back with a group or a friend to see if we can try other delicious items.
This place is great! The staff was great, food and beer was as top notch. We had a beer and two slices eat and was plenty of food
Excellent!!!!!!!! Wow! I love that they sell slices, I could try different things. Had the Ricky Roni which pepperoni and hot honey- excellent Da green bird was a 4/5. Vodka sauce.'pesto. It was shockingly dry. But flavor still good The crust is sooooo soft and good omg!!! Can't wait to try again
Any Anna's joint is a winner in my book. On aesthetics alone it makes you want to come back. It feels inviting and homey as hell. Big windows, decor giving, and shows so much effort. Service is fast and very attentive to your needs. Hella family friendly really feels like a community pizza parlor. They have good deals like their March Madness deal and lunch specials. Menu has ice cream, plenty of wine/beer, pizza by the slice, & more than just pizza. Water and all that you'd need for your table easy to access. Pepperoni Pizza -- missing something. The hot honey flavor wasn't present at all. I liked the crisp on the pepperoni. Sauce flavor was yummy. It was really greasy tho. The crust was amazing just would be nice to have a little more char. With a bit more cheese and flavor on top it'd be a winner. I'd still order this again! Gochujang Honey-Butter -- they need to bottle this sauce asap! Y'all the flavor was phenomenal. One of the best flavors on a wing I've had!! The wing itself was so so small but the chicken was moist, great texture. Not enough to fill you on its own. Garlic Knots -- dough texture & softness is there! Flavor lacking. No garlic flavor at all mostly butter. I could see the cheese but didn't taste it. Loved the marinara sauce! Paid parking lots in the streets across from it. Parking can be tricky but that's just a Long Beach thing. Will be back to try all their slices, other wing flavors, and sandwiches (plus ice cream). Also their ranch is gold!
This spot has pizza by the slice! Theres not too many places like this so i was happy i came across it waiting for a nail appointment. Also, parking is found on the street or at any of their multiple public parking sections this is right on 2nd street. What we ordered: Slice of RICKY RONI (pepperoni) Slice of DA GREEN BIRD (vodka sauce pesto sausage) I recommend
Great lunch special and pizza by the slice. $10 lunch special includes two cheese slices and a drink or a cheese slice, salad, and a drink. Upgrade to a fancier slice for an additional $1. The cheese was a good NY style slice with just the right amount of chew to the crust. The rapini slice was a bit dry, it needed a little more than the dollops of ricotta to make it perfection. I'm looking forward to trying the other slices in the future, they're off to a great start and it's only their second day. The interior has plenty of seating and garage door windows that open wide to let in plenty of fresh and take advantage of our southern California climate.
I had some concerns walking in here! I was looking at the pizza slices and noticed flies all around inside the case which made me turn around and walk out! The case should be fully closed to stuff like that!. It's a nice sit down place with lots of seating and had the world cup games going but i decided to go somewhere else.
Came here with my dog after the beach and this pizza definitely hit the spot. The Ricky Roni (pepperoni w hot honey) & Surf Ranch were both delicious. Must get the Ricky Roni pizza and strawberry shortcake ice cream!!!

Love this new spot on second street! Pizza by the slice is something that needs to be done more at pizza spots. Perfect after a long day at the beach and perfect for a quick cheap bite!! Cute and spacious interior with plenty of seating and outdoor seating as well. They have a variety of drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic). Staff were friendly and helpful with answering our questions regarding flavors and recommendations. Hope this pizza joint sticks around for a long time! read more

I try not to post negative reviews. But I'm just so disappointed. Anna's used to have incredible gluten free pizza; Detroit style rectangular thick crust, full of flavor, a great vehicle for toppings, and, most importantly for those of us who aren't eating gluten free as a choice, safe. They no longer make this pizza. They now have a round, thin crust pizza like everyone else. They said, "people like round ones." Do they?? Honestly, I don't care about the shape of the pizza, as long as it's fully cooked and doesn't fall apart immediately, and also doesn't give me hives. But this was somehow over and undercooked at the same time. I got no extra toppings (just cheese and sauce), and it fell apart, so I can only assume it won't hold up to anything more than that. We were told that they're still baked on gluten free specific pans, but a) there's way more room for error when they're all the same size and shape, and b) they all get baked in the same oven, so using a pan with high sides cuts down on cross contamination, while a shorter sided pan allows for more. I had never reacted to their pizzas before today. And to be perfectly frank, it just tastes worse. It's a lower quality product all around. The best thing I can say about this crust is at least it's not cauliflower. I'm sure they're trying to cut down on cost. But I'm just so, so tired of having to settle for an inferior product because I have a food allergy. Especially when they already had one that was so much better than everyone else's. I got excited about getting pizza. Like for the first time in a looooong, long time. The disappointment when that gets taken away is rough. read more

Ordered for delivery and received food prompt and hot. I accidentally ordered the pizza with hot honey but it's my fault for not reading. The crust was soft and delicious with the sauce to cheese ratio being good. I opted for NY style because I prefer thin crust. The order was missing the cheese slice which was a bummer but they offered a discount. Overall I plan to try other pizzas as this one was pretty good. read more

i really wanted to love anna's pizza joint since it's close to my house. i want to preface by saying the pizza was decent, we ordered 3 pizzas for a beach picnic, and they were all pretty good. that being said i am disappointed because for one of the pizzas (ricky roni- pepperoni and hot honey) we added burrata for $6, and they did not put it on. also, the pizza tasted like a plain pepperoni, if there was hot honey we did not taste it AT ALL, and for $30 for a pizza it was disappointing to not get what we ordered. it seems like the lunch special (2 slices and a drink for $10) and happy hour might be the move here and i will for sure try it again. i just had high hopes because i wanted to love it and it didn't meet those hopes. ;( for a premium whole pizza price (24-30$ per pizza) i would go somewhere else (like riip) read more
Honestly, it wasn't bad. It's always interesting when pizzerias don't have garlic powder, salt, pepper, or oregano on the table, but that's something that California pizzerias all have in common - including Anna's. Out of all of the Long Beach shops, I'd say this is in the top five. Slices are small, and it is $4.50 for a plain cheese slice, which is genuinely insane but that's seemingly also commonplace in California. Would we stop by again? Yea I think so. read more

I came here for a father and son outing. We ordered a pepperoni slice and a cheese slice. I asked for it well done but it didnt come out well done lol. But it was still delicious. Customer service was excellent. The pizza is really good. The sauce wasn't too sweet, the cheese was a good portion, the dough was great. Definitely ate the crust. The vibe exceeded expectations! We will be back soon. As of right now. Its ranked Top 5 pizza in Long Beach. Keep it going! read more

Anna's Pizza Joint - Long Beach, CA Opening Day Impressions Anna's Pizza Joint officially opens its doors in Long Beach, and from the very first bite, it's clear this is a spot destined to make an impression. I tried the pepperoni pizza, which arrived hot and fresh in under ten minutes--a testament to both timing and skill in the kitchen. The crust was beautifully crisp, with edges that hinted at a delicate buttery richness, perfectly complementing the generous, evenly distributed pepperoni. Guests at my table who opted for the by-the-slice cheese pizza also appreciated the crisp, well-baked crust, the prompt service, and the ideal serving temperature. Their only minor reservation concerned the quantity of cheese on top, which they felt was slightly sparse. They raised this observation respectfully, reflecting the constructive feedback expected in a new establishment's opening service. The beverage program shows thoughtful curation. I paired the pizza with a bottle of Josh Phelps' 2024 Sauvignon Blanc, a wine I know personally, and the freshness of the wine highlighted the savory depth of the pies without overpowering them. The atmosphere at Anna's is equally inviting. Light, bright, and energetic, the space hums with a palpable vibe. Curtis Fullerton, one of the owners, was present and engaged, giving a warm sense of hospitality, while Armande served our table with professionalism and charm, rounding out an excellent dining experience. For a new establishment, Anna's hits many marks: speed, quality, and atmosphere, all while fostering an unmistakable sense of energy and community. Pizza enthusiasts in Long Beach have a new place to watch--this joint is ready to compete, and it's a contender worth noting. read more

Do they make thin, sliced pizza?
Yes. The crust cracks when folded, but it's thin & they sell whole or by the slice
