There are about 6 talented bartenders who work the bar and each of them bring a unique portfolio to mixology. Let's get back to Amanda! One of my friends who was visiting from Hawaii found Amanda on social media and asked that I take her to Kuduowl to experience this unique mixology. We were greeted warmly by Amanda and she explained the concept of the bar and the drink options. All were absolutely beautifully crafted and served! Delicious! I had a drink a few years ago (Sloe Gin Ramos) and not many bartenders know how to make it, nor do they want to take the time to make it. Amanda and Chris jumped right in and made it (takes 10-15 minutes to make). It was delicious and the preparation was a show! Loved it. All bartenders, servers, and bar backs were working in unison, like an orchestra. You could tell they all enjoyed their jobs and coworkers! It made for a beautiful ambiance. The bar welcomes everyone - from old to young, from gay to straight, and a rainbow of diversity of ethnic backgrounds! This has to be my favorite bar in Southern California! Bravo Amanda & team!

We had a party of 15 inside; they charged them 10 for water without mentioning to them that there is a cost. Overall, while I understand that rules are rules. It is clear that the security and management only make these rules for certain people.

Me & my girl had a great time our first time there, love the bartender and our drinks. Our 2nd time around was a nightmare. We were there about 2 weeks ago 9/10/16. It started with me & 3 of my girls and a guy walking into the bar, and by the entrance were 2 big girls rolling a joint, saying a rude comment to my friend and continuing to say "look at y'all all dressed up just for the rocks!" (We had a birthday girl) so my friend asked "is that ok with you?" One of the big girls was just plain rude. While in there I thought there'd be tension but everything was fine. It's not till the end...I was in the restroom, when I came out almost everyone and I mean everyone was outside the bar in a big altercation. A lot of people were trying to break it off (including myself) and some just wanted to fight. Which by the way had nothing to do with us girls. But then I hear the fat rude girl say "fk them bitches they started shit since they got here!!!" I said "really you're going to instigate?" Everything got way out of hand! She continued to say "this is my bar!!!"...finally we all got in our cars...BUT as soon as we were trying to drive off, I see a guy with a braid with a long hand gun creeping our way. It was a disaster, very disappointing. Of course never ever going back. I hope the owner of this place sees this and looks into it along with his so called securities who supposedly don't let people in with hats/caps yet a bunch of people were wearing them inside the bar. 1 star for the bartender and another for the dj. read more

Pedro aka LIAR , the bartender, is a piece of work ! He yells at women , disrespectful to women . I've been to several establishments, that serve drinks all over the country, and this is the worst service I've seen in all my life. I will not waste anymore time or money at this bar believe me, I make three times more than Pedro, but he likes to talk down to women in front of the customers. I was never rude or disrespectful to this man. I never raised my voice at him, and all he did was yell and yell and yelling, yelling, yelling, yelling, yelling yelling all the way till I walked out for no damn reason what a piece of work. I dislike 100 % this place . No manners up in there. I'm sure Pedro feels more manly yelling at a female and making up stories ( lies) . For the record, I ALWAYS pay for my drinks . Pedro is so bitter he patronizes, harasses, make up stories about vulnerable women. I want to see him try to raise his voice at me when I'm there with my BFF ( black , big , muscular). read more

I'm not from the area but a few weeks back I was down that way dying of thirst and really needed a cold drink so Just happened to walk in off the street. It was so dark in there when I walked in that I couldn't see a thing apart from this beautiful big smile that greeted me as I approached the bar which I must say made a great first impression. Behind that smile is one nicest & most friendliest bartenders I have ever met, and I've met quite a few. Her name was LUZ and she made me feel right at home and made the best mixed drinks I've ever had, and I've had quite a few. I was actually only going to stay for one quick drink but ended up staying there for hours. Luz kept the drinks flowing and the place buzzing, she really does live up to her name. Her name was Bethenny the most passive aggressive bartender i have ever met, encouraging the bar's patrons to continue bad mouthing us as she joined in on it as well. I have never been age discriminated against but all I kept hearing was how bad our generation is. Management should really rethink hiring a person like this near a college. I had been going to this bar longer than she had been working there this place has really changed. My drink had no taste, and when I said something to the bartender she threw a fit. Started telling me how long she's been a bartender, and that she makes great drink. Overcharged Saturday night. The "worker" was alone around 9:30-10pm on November 23rd. Original charge was $33. It eventually adjusted to $63. never tipped that thing $30. Update, I got my money back from my bank. Owner said he'd look into it but my bank claimed he never responded. My review was removed. Re added it. Its true and people should be aware. read more

I love coming to the rocks especially for the service. Whenever I need a party I can always count on my bartender. LILO! She always brings the energy and best service. We finished our drinks and the bartender came over and handed me the bill. I didn't have my glasses so I couldn't actually read it right then but I put it away. He didn't ask me to sign anything and I expected that because I used a credit card. When I got home I looked at the bill and that bartender added in $8.99 tip and an extra drink for me to the bill. I'm going to do whatever I have to but if I happen to walk in and see that bartender I will leave immediately. He's a liar and a thief with no class and I don't appreciate it.
