I reached out to SoCal Bartender for a quote to hire a bartender only to work my 50th Birthday Party at my house for about 50 guests. The owner, Robert, immediately sent me a very detailed proposal that was very affordable. I signed the contract and Robert then sent me a shopping list of items that we needed to provide for the evening of our party. Everything from the get go was very detailed with pictures and references to the company's IG page as well. I really appreciated the details. The day before my party, I found out that Robert would be working my event so I felt really comfortable that we would be in great hands. The drinks that we had Robert make were so delicious that it didn't taste like they had alcohol in them even though they were super strong according to my guests. I hired SoCal bartenders for my daughter's first birthday. I asked Robert if they would do a signature drink menu with a few signature drinks and he said yes, that would be no problem. A few days before the party I asked him about it, he said they can make about 50 signature drinks. That was not what I was asking, anyways, I just let it go. Then he told me he would make a personalized menu list of drinks and mixers for me to buy for my guests after speaking to me. After we spoke, he sent a general list of items that were definitely not personalized for my party. First of all, he had written "engagement party" in the subject and then the first line said "moms amazing graduation party" neither one of these was correct. The one thing I knew my guests would drink for sure was also left out of the list. It just seemed like a generic list he sent to everyone. The amount of alcohol and mixers was completely incorrect. In addition, in the contract, it states that there is the option to extend the time of the bartender if I need to. I also asked him that on the phone, and he said it would be no problem. When I asked the bartender to stay longer, she said she had another gig, and had to leave. This was a nightmare for me, considering I still had a lot of guests and the party was clearly not over. I called Robert, and told him, he said he was at a very important event (as if my event wasn't important) and there was nothing he could do and he said it was only at the discretion of the bartender which was CLEARLY NOT IN THE CONTRACT, nor did he tell me that when I had mentioned it to him on the phone. He was very unprofessional and I would definitely not ever recommend him to anyone. He seemed all over the place and confused every time I spoke to him. read more

Its challenging to find someone who provides the level of value, and quality that they provided. When you call in you want to make sure you talk to Robert. He is the main guy there.
