    Fish Bowl (with Halibut)

I had a great visit here and the food was fresh, delicious and well cooked! The server Sean was very patient and friendly, he answered my questions about fish given I need to be safe eating lower mercury fish. He made sure to ensure the order was cooked to the right level! The ambiance was great; music level was perfect beach vibes, outdoorsy, and laid back reminded me of some sea side spots in Seattle. Appreciated the calm and relaxing service here the ambiance was also very clean and bright. A good spot and I bet you can't go wrong with the food, taste here was spot on for me and would be back when I'm in the area.

I buy fish from these guys almost every week at the HB farmers market. It's fresh, sashimi grade, and I have yet to be let down. Every dish I've made with their fish, my family has loved so I decided to take my mom and MIL here when it was their last official meal together since my mom wanted to treat my MIL. MIL got fish tacos that she loved, my mom got a fish salad that she devoured, and my sister got a carpaccio and truffle fries. Service was amazing. I'm pretty sure they forgot the fries but they were quick to get on it when I brought it up. The fries are SO good. I got a clam chowder which was a little too salty for me but the toast that came with it was SO good.

I don't remember having a better seafood anywhere in the United States. The only other place where I had better seafood was in Sweden, back in 2016. The fish was fresh, and it's also expertly prepared by the chef. The fisherman's stew had a balanced taste between the natural brine of the seafood and the tanginess of the tomato. Even the bread that came with the soup was perfectly toasted. It's not everyday when I experienced a Ratatouille moment, when a food critic was overwhelmed by emotions and moved close to tears. This unassuming restaurant holds the secret to culinary nirvana. Help spread the word, but not too fast because I still want to enjoy coming here without a huge crowd.

Beautiful interior with amazingly fresh fish and nice people. I don't know why it took us so long to try this place. You get large pieces of some of the freshest fish I've tasted since being in Hawaii. We will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I were craving seafood for lunch so we decided to stop by here. We decided to order the fish & chips, clam chowder, and ahi tuna sandwich since they were recommended to us by our server. I've had fish & chips all over the world, including the UK and Canada, and I can confidently say that the fried fish is among the best I've tried. The batter was so light and crispy and the cod was fluffy and juicy. I also upgraded the fries to the truffle parm seasoning and it was totally worth it. The clam chowder was just the consistency I like; not too thick and not too runny. The bread that came with it was soo good. And the ahi tuna in the sandwich was super fresh. Our server Bella was also so incredibly friendly and helpful to us. Overall, food and service was a 10/10 and I would definitely come again.

I may have eaten all my food before I took a picture. But I did take a picture of the beautiful setting and great server. Cody was our server and he was amazing on recommendations of food. We started with the calamari that was so good and the sauces were both complimenting of the calamari. We then decided on sharing the Mahi Mahi Fish sandwich and the Mahi Mahi fish Tacos. They were amazing again, I know I could think of another word haha This is an amazing local spot with fresh fish and a great attentive staff. You would be missed out if you didn't try it. I'll get pictures of the actual food next time.

Great time over there! Had a little trouble with the signage at the door, but when we figured it out, we had a lovely time. Our waitress Elise was a rockstar and very forgiving about our troubles ordering. The food was wonderful, and I think I ate about a half loaf of the toasted bread by myself! I would totally recommend it to anyone in the surrounding area.

Pacific Coast Fish is the kind of spot that reminds you why fresh seafood done right is unbeatable. We grabbed seats at the bar top for dinner service, and from start to finish, everything just clicked. We started with the Chef's Crudo, and let me tell you this dish stole the show. Bright, fresh, and balanced, with flavors so good you'll be tempted to drink the sauce straight from the plate. Easily a must order. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was another knockout it was light, perfectly crisp (you can tell the oil was fresh), and one of the best versions I've had. The Ceviche was refreshing and clean but honestly the other two apps outshined it. For mains, my girlfriend had the Fish Tacos while I went classic with the Fish & Chips. Both were executed with care and you can taste the quality of the fish and the thought in the ingredients. Nothing felt heavy, just satisfying. And dessert? The Key Lime Pie was a surprise highlight it was zesty, perfectly portioned for sharing, and the ideal way to close out the meal. A special shoutout to our server Sean, who was fantastic. Thorough, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food and the experience he really elevated the night. Between the stellar apps, fresh quality, laid back coastal vibe, and genuine hospitality, Pacific Coast Fish easily earns a full 5 stars. Already planning a return visit this one's a gem for Seal Beach.

Yelp'd this spot at the end of a long bike ride. Exhausted as we were, we were greeted with great and kind customer service. The pairing of the Mexican lager and fish tacos were AMAZING. Staff was great too! The fish n chips were authentic and not greasy or doughy. Loved it. Will come back! PS their signature sauce is BOMB

Welcoming nautical vibe, Hands down the best!! Genuine, authentic and the best quality fish you will ever find! It is truly a hidden gem - I'm talking day caught fish . Thank you Joseph, Johnny, Shawn + kitchen staff for the amazing experience!! Our forever favorite fish spot.

We were originally placed in a booth, but that would have been rough moving around for seconds and thirds. There was also a child with the carrier not able to be fit around the table. Was happy the servers accommodated us and moved to a more comfortable location. The buffet itself was pretty solid - roast beef, ham, salad bar, various veg and sides. Crab legs, oysters, shrimp, and sushi. Your typical buffet desserts also. Everything was freshly prepared and wasn't dry / old feeling (like how a lot of other buffets can be). It's definitely on the pricey side for a buffet, but the view, weather, and food quality make it fine for a special day out for the moms out there.

Our table was seated right in front of the singer, yet we felt completely overlooked the entire evening. We never received basic items like bread, water refills, extra napkins, or even straws unless we repeatedly tried to flag someone down. When our calamari arrived, it was missing something as simple as lemon, and getting our waitress's attention to fix it was nearly impossible. She was extremely difficult to find throughout the night--it honestly felt like we didn't have a server at all. The lack of attentiveness made the whole experience frustrating and uncomfortable. It was clear the outdoor area was understaffed, but that doesn't excuse the level of service we received. On top of that, the food was overpriced for the quality. You're essentially paying for the view, not the dining experience. You're better off at the Cheesecake Factory where the prices match the quality of food and the service is exceedingly better. It was exhausting looking for our waitress. It would've been nice to have a manager making their rounds to voice an opinion to in real time. I also want to mention the hostess with dark brown hair in a low bun, who came across as rude and dismissive for no apparent reason, which set a negative tone from the beginning. My twin sister and I were trying to seat our party together and she just didn't seem accommodating but just dismissive. I had heard great things about a server named Ashley from others in my party, and I really wish we had been seated in her section. Based on this experience, I won't be returning or recommending this place to others.

The homemade cocktail sauce is wonderful - make sure you mix in the dollop of horseradish though else you'll burn your eyes out! My boss had the salmon tacos and he's a regular here, so he knew he'd love them.... The place is HUGE, so it never looks crowded at lunch time, but the gentleman who sat us was very pleasant in trying to get us a perfect view while we dined and our waitress, "Lyndsey Server D" was exceptionally nice and attentive. The only question/complaint was that I got charged for the so-called complimentary Sourdough Loaf & Butter, which is absolutely fresh, hot and delicious! (I'm totally a bread lover/expert!!) They even sat us by the window so we had a view of the Marina/sunset. We were just having a casual dinner so we shared a bowl of the clam chowder and a whole fried tilapia. We chose to mix the Cajun and garlic sauce, such a good combo! We asked for the diablo sauce on the side, which had a good kick to it. The fish comes with veggies underneath that are mixed in the sauce (bell pepper, onion, and potato). Our waiter was also super nice even though it was just us 2 and we only ordered those 2 things. She loved that and it was just the right amount of food for her. My eyes were definitely the ones eating today lol. I ordered the shrimp plate which is the smaller version of the tray and I added a whole fried tilapia. I had the option of having the fish grilled or fried and I opted for fried. That fish, I tell ya, was cooked beautifully! For both the shrimp and the fish I chose both the regular seasoning and the garlic butter and thought that was the perfect combination. I did try their bottled house salsa and that was pretty darn good to add on top too. There was a nice portion of potatoes and shrimp and a whole lot of onions. Wish there were more bell peppers and other veggies too but not a big deal. With the shrimp plate you get a 4 in top and bottom slice of garlic bread and that wasn't enough so I ordered a whole footlong of it. Would definitely come back again to try other things on the menu! It was a beautiful warm Spring day (73 degrees) and we were excited to eat with the great ocean view from The Beach House Seal Beach. Paid for 2 hours of parking and walked over to the restaurant. It was only when we entered the gate where the hostess is that we saw a small sign that said, "Closed." WAIT WHAT???? No indication in the parking lot, no sign at the sidewalk, no sign walking down the walk way. The ONLY notice was buried around a corner saying Closed. We were told they were short staffed and had to close early, sorry. As we walked back to the car, we stopped at least 4 other cars and told them the restaurant was closed. We were able to alert them so they did not pay for parking at a CLOSED restaurant. It felt like the restaurant had NO consideration for the customers. To have NO sign anywhere near where customers would be parking to notify us of a totally unexpected, unanticipated, highly unusual CLOSING at 4 pm for a restaurant that was supposed to be open until 10 pm!!!!! So I called from my car in the parking lot and asked to speak to the manager. When the manager got on he explained that they were short staffed and had to close early. I discussed the lack of notice to customers and how we paid for 2 hours of beach parking. Manager was nice and polite and totally unresponsive to the fact we paid money to visit his restaurant and now had no where to eat and were out the parking fees. I recommended they post a notice where customers could see they were closed BEFORE we paid for our parking. He said they would do it after they finished closing out. I insisted it was only fair that they notified their customers FIRST. So, as we were leaving we saw an employee come out and post a sign. I took a photo because no one would believe how inadequate their posting was if I just described it. The sign is micro small. You can see our car at the bottom of the photo. Would you notice this CLOSED sign? Come on Beach House. We know you can do better for your customers.

For $50 for a couple, you get your choice of appetizer, two entrees, and gelato for dessert. For appetizer, there were two choices: mixed salad or fried zucchini and mozzarella with spicy tomato sauce. We chose the mixed salad, and it was perfectly dressed and very good. There were several options for entrees. I choose the caccio e pepe, and hubby choose Salmon Piccata with potatoes and vegetables. Both were delicious! We finished the meal with two scoops each of gelato. There were several flavors to choose from, but we are a little boring--I got chocolate and strawberry, hubby got chocolate and vanilla. I think our server may have been the daughter of the chef, as I heard them talking and laughing together in Italian. She was great, attentive and very sweet. I am sure we will be back.
