This place doesn't mess around with portion sizes, vibes, and creativity. Deliciously themed, properly constructed, and tasty. Best new burger I've had in years. My son got the behemoth that unbeknownst to us is sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Stacked heavy and it defeated him. I got the Napalm Death and it didn't disappoint. Huge, messy, spicy, and the cream cheese worked super well against the stacks of spicy (jalapeños, jalapeño poppers, sriracha). An order of Primate Fries are easily a portion for 2-3 with burgers this huge. Friendly and dogs allowed everywhere. Worth the stop.

You really can't beat a bar and grill on the sand..in the LBC! They have an amazing choice of unique burgers, bomb fries, and great micheladas and beers! Great vibe and fun old school 80's-90's rock! Can't beat the view either! Hang at the beach and top it off with an epic burger and fries...nothing better! Also, the guys working there are super cool! Love this place!! :D

Decent burger spot! We biked all the way here from Downtown Long Beach area because we wanted to work for our food. Service is friendly and you just order at the counter. I got the Winger and I believe my husband got the Long Beach Dirtbag with a side of fries. We shared the fries and they give a good amount! It was delicious and we both liked our burgers. I would add red onions to my burger next time. The restaurant is next to the beach. We sat outside on the patio area. There's also an upstairs section. The views are nice since you get waterfront views. You can go swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. Lots of things to do nearby! It's a cool hangout spot on a summer day.

Still a fave for "unHappy Hour" - Metallica Burger and an IPA is perfect in the late afternoon!

Great location with outside, inside and upper deck seating area overlook the water...great in the summer, especially during sunset time. Great small selection of menu of burgers, salads, and side dishes. It's a beach burger joint for sure. Okey beers selection but great overall. Parking is everywhere, from street parking to parking lot right behind and all are free but can be challenging in the weekend or holidays. Great service and great foods. Perfect place to be for a great burger & fries.

My colleagues and I arrived close to closing time after a day of trouble and we were served so quick! I ordered the samoa joe and primate fries. The burger was perfect and the fries were great. It was a big portion size, but after traveling, we were all hungry. The guy working was so kind, and there was plenty of seating. I would love to come back and try more!

    BOTM fried (carnitas july 2025)

The perfect lunch spot after lounging around Horny Corner for the day. Pro tip: You can get their Burger of the Month as fries! And that is exactly what I did. In July, their burger of the month special was a carnitas burger, so I got those as fries. As a base, I love their fries. They're a thicker cut, rustic fry, and they're the perfect vessel for meat and sauces. These fries were topped with carnitas, tomatillo salsa, radishes, and sour cream. Damn, these were so good. I wish they would keep it on their main menu, but I'm excited to try new BOTM specials.  It's a very casual spot where you order at the counter, and they bring out the food to you. They also have beers on draft, like Harland Rice Lager, which is a personal favorite of mine. They have a second story where you can dine on their rooftop and get a great view of the beach while you eat. Awesome spot right next to the beach.

I went to the old location a few times and was pleasantly surprised when they decided to move to my city. This location feels a lot more beachy and has a ton of seating compared to the old one. There an upstairs seating area outside. We were one of the only people in there so we got our food in a timely manner. I ordered the Long Beach Dirtbag and it was so damn good. One of the best burgers I've ever had. My fiancée got the Hermano (burger of the month) and high on fries and he loved it. I tried the high on fries and it was delicious. I do wish the burgers were a bit bigger but they are for sure worth the price.

Used to go to the Alhambra location before they moved to Long Beach. The food is slightly different than the original location and food truck (which i personally preferred, miss u alhambra location), but honestly its is still good, and I would go back if i was in the area. It's not as wow as it used to be but it's still a solid burger and they have a variety of good options. They give a great portion of fries still! Honestly what rlly makes this place worth it tho is the location n the overall vibe. Seating is rlly nice and wherever you are sitting there is a view and the service is great! Very friendly and fast despite being busy.

Half Ozzy Osbourne half Napalm Death and side of fries

Very cute location right by bayshore beach. Outside patio, inside section and upstairs outside area. I could imagine it gets packed in the summer. We tried the ozzy - blue cheese, chimichurri, onion straws, field greens, garlic aioli on a black bun. Tasty would recommend if you like blue cheese. Napalm death - jalapeño poppers, pickles jalapeños, habanero aioli, pepper jack cheese, cream cheese, sriracha. Overkill. We got no cream cheese and it was still kind of sickening. I got it because I love spicy but there was too much going on. Can't imagine eating it with the cream cheese. Fries- tasted fresh and leftovers held up next day in the air fryer nicely. Fresh ingredients and cooked well. Just be aware some of the burgers are extremely heavy intense munchie food lol . They sell beer as well.

Good food and good views!!! The burgers were so delicious, but the fries, my lord the high on fries and primate fries were both excellent!!! The employees were cool and friendly. I mean look if you're looking for a quick burger that's gonna fill you up and taste good, definitely the place to go.

As a metalhead I've always wanted to try Grill 'Em All! How can you not love a place named after a Metallica song! The ambience is like a battle vest! Service was good! They were friendly and helpful! The food was so good! Very tasty and filling. Def want to go back next time I'm in the LBC! The Ozzy fries are a blue cheese lover's dream come true! The Metallica was the "one" and after eating it I needed to "fade to black" and take a nap

    Napalm Death

Me and my girlfriend stopped by Grill Em All and honestly, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. First off, the staff is awesome super friendly, welcoming, and laid-back. The vibe is chill with a great waterfront view that makes it a solid spot to hang out and enjoy a meal with a beer. Food wise though, things didn't quite hit. My girlfriend got the Waste Em All burger, and I grabbed the Napalm Death. Both sounded like they'd be flavor bombs, but ended up surprisingly bland. Hers was probably the most flavorless burger I've ever tried and mine despite looking saucy and loaded only stepped it up a notch above hers. Definitely underwhelming, especially given how creative the menu sounds. On the bright side, the buffalo wings were decent, and the Long Beach Dirt Bag Fries absolutely carried the meal loaded, flavorful, and definitely worth coming back for. Overall, I'm not sure if we came on an off night, but based on the dope staff, vibes, the view, and those fries, I'd give this place another shot. At the very least, it's a cool spot to kick back with a drink and loaded fries by the water.

Waste Em All with Chicken platter. Good.

    Do they have vegetarian options?

Did they stop selling veggie burgers? The option no longer appears. 😕

Nope! It's still on their store menu. Was there about a month ago.

Anyone know if they have any zero sugar drink options like Coke Zero, iced tea, etc?

Yes they do or just have free water.

Will Rick Reuben burgers ever come back?

It did last month but was nowhere near as good as the original location

Do you have to make a reservation?

    No you don't

Are they allowing indoor dining yet?

Yes they are inside and outside but. Not the bar.

    Do they change chefs often?

I'm not sure about that, but if you're asking about it because there is some inconsistency sometimes, I've noticed that as well over the years. Overall tho, it's been pretty solid. Some of the burgers more than others.

    Do they have happy hour?

No, but it's always a happy time at Grill Em' All

Can they 'lettuce wrap' the burgers?

Yes they can but it'll get messy

    Do they sell onion rings?

No just a couple types of fries. Occasionally it's a burger ingredient on the burg of the month.

Is their beef grass-fed or grass-finished?

Well Brian, you may want to give them a call... Great food and drink!

Were they contestants on the Great American food truck race?

    Yes

Is the veggie patty vegan? Want to make sure there is no egg in it.

Yes they are. Vegan options are a plenty and they don't sacrifice taste for vegan either! Veg-it up.

Can yo watch a WWE PPV there?

Hell Yeah!!!! Burgers beers and stunners!!!

I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. TLDR; It's expensive, and not worth the routine visit, but worth the one-time stop in to experience the festivities. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience.  I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

I placed my order online for burgers and fries and drove to pick my order up. It's not what I wanted but I knew what I was getting. When I arrived at the restaurant i asked her name. She said, Kate. I told him exactly what I ordered. The cashier went to the back and told him to remake it, to which he finally did. The fries were crispy but no salt and adding the old bay seasoning just messed up the taste. It could have definitely used some Creole seasoning. We parked in the multi-story parking garage behind Hamburger Mary's. Secret Island is a little over a block away. You can make reservations on OpenTable. It has a bit of a speakeasy entrance, as it is not plainly marked. Look for the staircase going down with greenery around it and the Secret Island sign downstairs. Go right at the bottom of the stairs and there is a little walkway where you see a very cool tiki display. It you stay there long enough, the lights will flash and you will hear thunder. Walk a little further and go through the door to enter. I was blown away by the atmosphere and build. Kudos to Bamboo Ben! It is dimly lit with a ton of cave wall, bamboo, thatch, netting, tiki lights, floats, skulls, tikis, and other décor. The bar is loaded with bottles and looks great with dark blue and green backlighting. The bar top is wood with deep cutouts that are filled with clear epoxy. The booths in the main dining area are little tiki huts and even have clouds overhead. There was great tiki music playing the whole time. A few times an hour a thunderstorm hits. The lights dim, lightning flashes with thunder sound effects, and red lights illuminate cracks in the floor that looks like lava veins. There is also a photo-op "Pele's Throne" which is a big lava rock surrounded chair. We sat at the bar and had the coconut shrimp appetizer ($12). The shrimp were breaded and cooked well, and had a coconut sprinkle on top. The spicy dipping sauce complemented the shrimp well. I started out with the Drunken Monkey (Makers Mark 46, Jamaican rum, banana liqueur, cinnamon, allspice, Angostura bitters, normally $19, $17 during happy hour). It was somewhat bourbon forward with a little funk from the Jamaican rum. I definitely got the cinnamon notes with a little banana and allspice in the background. She started out with the El Capitan Hook (Del Maguey mezcal, pineapple, banana liqueur, Luxardo cherry liqueur, lime, $17, $15 during happy hour). This was smoke forward with light pineapple and banana flavor. I had the Hula burger ($18) which was very good with a lot of different flavors from the various toppings. It came with a decent amount of fries, and was a filling plate. She had the pineapple bowl fried rice and added with BBQ pork ($17 + $5 for pork add-on). It is served in half of a scooped out pineapple and had a good amount of rice with pork and green onions on top. It had a good mix of teriyaki sauce on the rice and BBQ sauce on the pork. Next, I had the Rum Runner (coconut and blended dark rums, banana liqueur, raspberry, grenadine, pineapple, orange, lime, $18, $15 during happy hour). It was very pineapple and coconut forward which overpowered all of the other ingredients. She also had the Let That ManGo (white rhum agricole, coconut, mango, lemon, $18, $16 during happy hour). The primary flavors here were mango with some grassiness from the agricole. We were here from about 6pm to 8pm on a Wednesday night and it was pretty dead with only a few other people in the place the whole time. They do have a stage in the back with live music acts, so it is probably busier when there is entertainment and on weekends. Our first bartender was Alex who was nice but we barely talked with him. Manager Pedro took over the bartender duties later on and we had a great time chatting with him. Service was great from both of them. The drinks are a few dollars above average, but if you come during happy hour, the drinks are several dollars off. Happy hour is currently all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, and Thursday through Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. The food was good, the drinks were ok to good, and the atmosphere was great. Normally, this would probably be a one and done, but I really liked the build and would like to come back when it is busier, maybe on a weekend.

He had a snarky comment and we had to stop and glance at each other. The look of "do we leave?". We sat at the bar top, he tossed over some menus, took our order and was really not happiest. It ruined our mood, and our intention was to stay and enjoy a drink or some food. However the atmosphere wasn't welcoming, almost uncomfortable. We only stayed for one drink, and they're all $20 each. Trying to cocktails was nice. I definitely recommend heading to the other tiki bar in Long Beach - better crowd - better service - welcoming.
