Had an early dinner at this place so we can cat the sunset. Didn't have any high expectations but we were surprised. The menu offered all variety of main stream and specialty Thai dishes. We ordered the beef salad and the three kinds sweet and sour fish. Both dishes were pretty good. The beef salad had enough spiciness to kick it up a little. Although it was a salad, it came with few leaves of lettuce and mixed in with red sliced onions. The spicy sweet and sour fish was so tasty. Crunchy and soft combined with the special sauce was so good. We were there at the off hour so there was no wait. Good place to catch some Thai food if you don't want to lug all the way to Hollywood.

This is an excellent restaurant with great customer service. We were there on the early side on Friday, about 5:30, so we were seated right away at a nice table by the window. Great for people watching on Main Street. We both ordered ice water and they kept are glasses full the entire meal. We ordered the Lettuce Cups ($12.95) to start. The meat was perfectly minced, ice cold lettuce and they came with these delicious light and crispy fried wonton strips. These strips were so delicate, we couldn't stop eating them. I hope we can find them someplace and not have to make them ourselves. We shared the Chicken Yellow Curry ($17.95) and the Chicken Pad Thai ($18.50). Both of these could have been without the chicken. Maybe next time with fried tofu if they have that. The flavors of both dishes were spot on. We ordered the curry mild and it had lots of flavor without the heat. Attentive service throughout and we didn't feel rushed at all, even as the restaurant started to fill up. We will definitely return and then do our usual walk up and down Main Street for some fresh air and steps. It was a very nice time.

I visited on a weekday during that odd, quiet time between lunch and dinner. I was quickly seated and ordered a couple of appetizers - fresh spring rolls (with tofu rather than shrimp) and satay chicken - along with a Thai iced tea. The Thai tea was perfection, exactly the taste you hope for. The spring rolls were delivered first. There were four rolls, all very fresh. The thin rice paper held bean sprout, carrot, shredded lettuce, cucumber, basil, and vermicelli along with a long piece of tofu. A delicious sweet & sour sauce with crushed peanut was on the side for dipping. The satay chicken (four skewers) were set before me the instant I finished the spring rolls. The grilled chicken was tender and flavorful. An excellent peanut sauce was provided for dipping; it was so good I finished it by skewer #3 and wanted more but couldn't get anyone's attention. I could have been more persistent about it but honestly the chicken was wonderful just as it was so I just continued to chow down. I was there during "happy hour" so the spring rolls were a real deal as they were on the happy hour menu. The satay chicken was reasonably priced as were most items on the menu. This is a good choice for Thai if you find yourself on Main Street near the Seal Beach pier.

Pad Thai (I got it without egg)

Best pad Thai I've ever had! We've been by this place so many times when we visit seal beach and never stopped until today. I wish I came sooner. The pad Thai was fresh and steaming hot. It had the right amount of sauce and a nice smoky flavor. We also had the tom yum soup and mango sticky rice. Both were delicious as well. The service was also great. The employees were welcoming and kind. I just found my new fav Thai spot and can't wait to come back!!!

Enjoyed sitting by the windows. Food was both fresh and delicious. Will certainly be coming back!

As of late, I have definitely developed a Love-hate relationship with this restaurant. I have been going to Thai on Main for several years now. It used to be that the food was always great & the service was always good. Then COVID hit, travel and relationship happened and next thing i know. it was a long time until i went back again just a few weeks ago to pick up a "to go" order for the first time as opposed to dining in. On that occasion, the service was mediocre and the food was terrible. Granted i ordered some items that i had never tried there before. That day, I wrote a review about that experience. Fast forward to today. I decided to go back and give it another try. I decided to dine in once again, since i recently had a terrible experience with my 1 & only to go order. Unlike last time. Upon entering the restaurant, i was greeted promptly and with a smile. I ordered 2 of my all time favorite dishes. The Tom Kha Soup with Shrimp and the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. I'm pleased to say that both dishes were excellent and the waitress was really kind and friendly. But this time however, the problem is that we kept getting one fly after another. I killed the first fly with the hard cover menu. I smashed it. Yes. Sorry for the visual. One of the waiters noticed and came by with this fly deterrent fan with 12" paper blades spinning horizontally like a helicopter on our table. Not only was it not effective but it was taking too much space at the table. So, I moved it one table over. While dining, I literally killed 6 more flies with my table cloth this time. Which i kept aside for the flies only & for sanitary reasons,. No one came by to say anything or to even offer me a new table cloth. As i was leaving the restaurant. I went to open the front door. I noticed that the door was left ajar. Most likely on purpose because it had a table cloth wrapped around the door handle and wedged in the door opening. Not sure why that was. Maybe to keep this old door from getting stuck. Who knows! And that's maybe Where the flies were coming from. You can now see why I've been having a Love/Hate relationship with this place as of late. I don't think that i will be going back anytime soon. And it's a shame because the food is really good. Venture at your own risk.

Had lunch here yesterday. Cute place and pretty popular with the locals, and I've been here a number of times but usually for dinner. This is also one of the few restaurants in the area that stays open on holidays, which is always a plus. They serve the same menu for both lunch and dinner. We came in around 1 PM and it wasn't too crowded. I wasn't super hungry, so I just went with their Thai Iced Tea and Papaya Salad. My friends ordered the Pad See Ew, Fresh Spring Rolls, and Khao Soi. Everything came out great as expected. Super flavorful with generous portions. We ended up boxing most of it. Service was fast and easy, as always.

Decided to stop in for dinner, we are a Thai food family, and this place had the kids asking to come back again next time. :) The service was on point, never an empty glass and handling a busy floor of people with friendliness and ease. The dishes we chose were all great: Egg Rolls - Good ingredient choices and a really good dipping sauce, made with love for sure! Green curry (w/ chicken) - Good flavor notes, a perfect amount of spice for the fam, and plenty to go around. Tim Yum - Lots of noodles, good flavor, not exactly what I'm used to, but my daughter absolutely loved it. Moo Yaang - My son loved it! I mean, charbroiled pork on a stick with chili-lime sauce, what's not to love? Ka Prow - My go-to. The flavor depth was spot on, not as hot as I had expected, but that was a good thing as the kids really enjoyed it as well. The ambiance is that of a small family owned Thai restaurant, the kids running and bussing the front, and the parents making magic in the back. We'll certainly be back, and we hope to see you there. :)

Took my wife here on a Saturday afternoon and wow -- Thai on Main absolutely delivered! Tucked right into the buzz of Main Street, it's got that cozy vibe where you instantly feel welcome. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and Garlic Chicken, and both dishes were packed with flavor and made with real care. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced -- not too sweet, not too tangy -- just the right amount of sauce coating those noodles with tender chicken throughout. Portion size? Generous. Taste? Spot on. My wife couldn't stop talking about the Garlic Chicken -- savory, crispy, and bold with just the right hint of spice. It had that homemade comfort food feeling but elevated. Service was fast and friendly, even though they were clearly busy with weekend foot traffic. You can tell this place is run by people who care about the food and the customers.

I went on a Tuesday at noon and we were seated right away! Beautiful and clean interior with great and attentive staff! I got the lunch special of ka prao with tofu and brown rice and salad (instead of soup). The salad was fresh with good veggies and a tasty dressing. The ka prao was very tasty and not too spicy! Veggies were crisp, I got the soft tofu and the brown rice was cooked well. A great serving for only around $13!

We stumbled upon this place while we were in the area. They have 2 hr street parking which was nice. We came on a Monday afternoon after 1pm so it was pretty quiet and didnt have to wait for a table. We got seated next to the window since it was brighter. We ordered the lunch special which includes a soup or salad option. I got the green curry and it came with brown rice and I chose the soup. My husband got the pad thai and chose the salad. The green curry was a bit salty but it was still pretty good. The soup was filled with veggies and topped with fried garlic. The pad thai was good and flavorful but the server didnt ask what spice level we wanted so we had to ask for a spice rack. The salad was good with a tangy dressing. Overall, the food was good!

Not sure...we didn't have a reservation and had no issues getting a seat.

I do recommend you ALWAYS get their garlic fried rice. Sounds plain- but trust me- you won't regret it! Ask my adult kids- they always want it! I have tried several of their food items. My older son loves their orange chicken- it is not what one would consider a traditional orange chicken... it's more like tempura chicken with a nice glaze. Much lighter and fluffier than what you're used to. But it's gooood. I love their eggplant. I almost always get their dumpling curry- it's a spicy green curry with chicken dumplings in it... great with white rice. My only complaint- and they know it- is that they don't have a delivery service of their own.. they use postmates or one of those crappy services that likes to mess up my delivery- so I usually just order and pick up.

They asked how many in our party and then sat us on a comfy booth. The place is clean, smells good upon entering and spacious with seating. As far as reserving I'm not sure if they do that for a large party. Peter was our server and was so kind and sweet! He made our first time there very warm and enjoyable. He knew his items and he adjusted my mom's plate without msg. You can ask your server ahead of time when you're ordering food. I ordered their pad see ew with beef and it was super delicious. I ate the whole plate. We'll be back soon. It was that good!

We ordered the Thai Boat Noodle with large noodles and didn't receive the correct noodles. I requested the Green Curry w/ chicken extra spicy and a side of Roti, and they gave me Roti with a small side of green curry. When I notified the server (who didn't originally take our order), she came back with Green Curry w/ chicken, but it had no spice whatsoever. We had to flag down the waitress for a few times, and at some point, we ended up just going to the front counter because we got tired of waiting for someone to come by for us to get to-go containers. Some dishes were served correctly. The Stuffed Chicken Wings tasted like lumpia, especially with the sweet chili sauce it's served with. The Drunken Noodle w/ beef tasted good, but I found the beef to noodle ratio lacking. Overall, food was decent, but service was disappointing.

Worth the mention to dine at Hiccups Kitchen…read more I went around 12:41 pm on a Thursday to do some studying and it was pretty empty, which I personally loved. Most people came in, grabbed their food, and left. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and even the bathrooms were very clean and honestly really cute for pictures. I was surprised because you wouldn't even think they had a restroom like that inside. The staff was friendly and attentive. Keira was super sweet and the manager was professional and present the whole time. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the Pad Thai because I wasn't in the mood to try anything too new and wanted something I already knew I liked. The serving size was great and it came with chicken and tofu, which surprised me, but I'm not complaining because it was delicious. Everything was hot, flavorful, and fresh. BUT the real star for me was the Vietnamese iced coffee with the ube foam on top. When I say that knocked my socks off... it absolutely did. I literally woke up the next day thinking about it. I would honestly go back just for that alone. It's not close to me, so now I'm trying to figure out how to get my hands on another one without making the drive every week because it was THAT good. Keira told me I wasn't going to sleep after drinking it and she was right. I got so much accomplished that day though, so honestly it was worth it. Good music, clean environment, fast service, flavorful food, and an amazing coffee. Definitely would come back.

What a beautiful surprise, as we stepped inside of this gorgeous restaurant! The entrance and winding path easily had me at hello! Miso Greens Salad | I'm a salad girl and this is definitely a memorable bite! Between the juicy slices of mango, crispy wontons strips, red pepper, tangy miso dressing and more... I was craving each bite one after the other with the quickness! Haha! Every single bite and I'm not kidding, was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor, & mouth watering! I would 100% get the salad again and highly recommend it! Decor | Beautiful! What a stunning restaurant! I found myself looking around constantly! The lighting, presence of Buddhas sprinkled throughout, cozy seating with colorful pillows, wood interior, the colorful lighting... and don't even get me started on the gorgeous waterfront views! Tantalum easily transports your senses to Indonesia via food and atmosphere! I'm all for it and loved every moment of it! Customer Service | Irma was incredibly friendly and helpful with the menu! Thanks again for helping me decide between the heirloom tomato salad and the miso green salad; tried something new! Overall | Yes, please! If a single salad was so memorable, I can only imagine a full meal! I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu on my next visit! Let's go!

I have been to Tantalum in LBC many times, but its been a while. I can't believe I haven't…read morereviewed it until now. The most recent visit was to meet some biz associates to enjoy entrees & apps. We shared calamari ($24), mussels ($23), fried rice ($30), fries ($7), and a couple of 18 oz bone-in ribeyes ($68/each) [sorry, not all items puctured]. My crew of five (including me), liked the calamari and steak & fries. The calamari was tender, the steaks were grilled medium rare, and the fries were GBD. However, the shrimp in the rice and the mussels were not fresh. Luckily, no one got sick later. Regarding the ambiance, its spacious in here. However, the amount of people seemed light on a Fri night around 6-7 pm. Our waiter Jason and the rest of the team were super nice & attentive. We received fresh plates and steak knives (we ordered a second steak later during the meal). I'd return for a good time w/ a large group. The place accommodates big parties well, and the service is really good. Nonetheless, keep in mind the food is hit & miss, and the prices are on the high side.
