This teriyaki place is located in an older strip mall along PCH. There are multiple businesses here and the parking lot can often be busy but I've always been able to find at least one spot open. It's mostly a take-out restaurant but there are three counters along the walls and windows with four stools at each counter. They have teriyaki beef, chicken, or tofu bowls and plates, the plates being a larger portion. There are also teriyaki tacos (!) on the menu. I was there for a weekday lunch and orderd a beef teriyaki bowl. I also got a bottle of Pepsi; they have bottles and cans of various drinks in a fridge to choose from. I sat at a counter to eat. No one else was eating inside but there were a lot of to-go customers. The beef had great flavor and was pretty good quality, not perfectly tender but definitely not tough or chewy. Lots of veggies and Jasmine rice made it a great teriyaki bowl. I appreciated the extra container of teriyaki sauce provided as I tend to like a lot of sauce. The folks at the counter were very friendly and helpful. It was clear that providing good customer service was important to them. This place is a welcome addition to the food offerings in the Seal Beach area.

The food here is delicious! Stopped in near closing time and they were busy. Ordered the chicken plate spicy. This is a teriyaki chicken plate with rice and salad. Spicy add on is jalapeno, onions and pepper. They give you a whole grilled jalapeno. The salad was fresh but I think they forgot the dressing as it was plain lettuce. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The sauce is on the side which I appreciated. The rice is sooo good, I loved it. Allie (I hope I spelled your name correctly) was so friendly and kind to the customers. 5 star service and food. I will be back!

If you are looking for fresh beef or chicken teriyaki this is your place. You no longer have to worry about the subpar competitors. Seal Beach teriyaki is family owned and they get it. This is my fourth time and they have never disappointed, always delicious.

Unbelievable tasting Seal Beach Teriyaki burritos tonight. Thank you, Steve and Crew for making my Cinco de Mayo safe and complete!

Great service and great tasting food. It's more of a take out place since we live a block away.

We arrived kind of late in the evening, and a few parties were leaving just as we arrived. When you first walk in, you can see a sushi bar where you can watch your food being made. We sat in the dining room next to a window which you can watch people walking by. The dining room is nice with lots of traditional Asian touches and some really cute restaurant posters. We really were not very hungry and just stop by for a snack. Our server was really nice and was really cool with this ordering so little for three people. We ended up ordering some gyoza, which is my favorite, a spicy tuna roll, and a crispy salmon skin roll. All were delicious. I think this may have been the best gyoza I've ever had!! Love this place, and I'm certain it will be on our list everytime we come back to Seal Beach

No Live Scallops were available, which displeased my daughter and granddaughter--but not me, because they are one of the most expensive items sold here when in stock. The two disappointed diners were comforted somewhat by two Seal Beach Rolls, while I enjoyed a great Spicy Tuna Roll which did not have overwhelming spiciness. Diane was happy with two orders of All Shrimp Tempura, while I dabbled with one order of Assorted Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura that included great-tasting delicate Sweet Potato, Zucchini, Broccoli, Mushroom and Onion Tempura, besides hot and juicy Shrimp Tempura. Miso Soup was good, as well as a small included salad. As to which dressing is tastier between Ginger and Poppyseed Dressing, I still can't make up my mind. So, as usual, I applied each one to half of the salad. For my chosen entree Sukiyaki was fine--just not as hot as usual. And the portion was large enough to give some to my granddaughter and still have enough food remaining at dinner's end for a likeable lunch the next day. Koi will continue to be my favorite go-to restaurant for non-teppan Japanese cuisine.

She made sure we were well taken care of and accommodated our needs from start to finish. If you come here, definitely ask for Hanna--she's an amazing server and made our night 10 times better! The restaurant has a beautiful open-concept layout with a darker, intimate atmosphere that I really enjoyed. The natural light coming through the windows added a nice contrast to the darker tones throughout the space, creating a cozy yet modern vibe. Gekkeikan Sake -- 9/10 We ordered the Gekkeikan sake served cold to enjoy while we waited for our food. It was smooth, flavorful, and a fun way to start the evening. We also ordered it during happy hour, which made it even more affordable. Definitely a great option if you're looking for a refreshing drink to enjoy with your meal. Crispy Chicken -- 10/10 I ordered the five-piece Crispy Chicken, and it arrived hot, fresh, and steaming. The chicken itself was a 10/10--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. What really elevated the dish was the combination of the lettuce wraps and sauce. Wrapping the crispy chicken in the lettuce and adding the sauce created an amazing balance of textures and flavors. I would definitely recommend this as an appetizer. Another bonus: it was available during happy hour, which made it an even better value. I was especially excited to see both the sake and Crispy Chicken on the happy-hour menu, and Hanna was kind enough to point that out when I was ordering. Now, Let's Get Into the Ramen Chicken Yuzu Shio Delight The Chicken Yuzu Shio ramen was really good. The noodles soaked up the flavorful chicken-based broth beautifully, making every bite rich and satisfying. The egg was one of my favorite parts--it had great flavor and was cooked nicely. The chicken also had a delicious grilled flavor that paired really well with the broth and noodles.
