Worth the mention to dine at Hiccups Kitchen. I went around 12:41 pm on a Thursday to do some studying and it was pretty empty, which I personally loved. Most people came in, grabbed their food, and left. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and even the bathrooms were very clean and honestly really cute for pictures. I was surprised because you wouldn't even think they had a restroom like that inside. The staff was friendly and attentive. Keira was super sweet and the manager was professional and present the whole time. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the Pad Thai because I wasn't in the mood to try anything too new and wanted something I already knew I liked. The serving size was great and it came with chicken and tofu, which surprised me, but I'm not complaining because it was delicious. Everything was hot, flavorful, and fresh. BUT the real star for me was the Vietnamese iced coffee with the ube foam on top. When I say that knocked my socks off... it absolutely did. I literally woke up the next day thinking about it. I would honestly go back just for that alone. It's not close to me, so now I'm trying to figure out how to get my hands on another one without making the drive every week because it was THAT good. Keira told me I wasn't going to sleep after drinking it and she was right. I got so much accomplished that day though, so honestly it was worth it. I would've loved to actually review the food here, but unfortunately we never got the chance to eat. We arrived over an hour before closing while there were still multiple parties dining inside, just looking to grab a quick dinner before driving an hour back home. NOT JUST A BOBA SHOP I've known hiccups for a long time. From their original location, the Carson location and its current one. I've always considered it just a place for drinks/ dessert. Never really needed to get food from them. But the food SLAPS! I had I had the ribeye pho and it was better than I expected. Didn't taste watered down, and the ribeye was great! Comes in a small bowl, but half of it could have been enough. I underestimated the pho so I had ordered extra popcorn chicken and fries. Holy, the portion is huge. I thought it would be small. It was super fresh, and extremely hot. Cajun seasoning optional. I recommend. Have a meal here, it's not just a boba shop. read more

My brother recommended this spot, especially their popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to try it this visit, so I ordered the Sea Salt Green Tea instead. I really enjoyed the tea--the flavor paired perfectly with the creamy sea salt foam on top. The space is spacious yet cozy at the same time, making it a great place to relax and hang out. Never coming here again!!! I went with my friends around 8pm on a Sunday night and we were already confused because from the reviews, we thought the place would be packed, but NO. It was dead empty. That was the first sign that we should've stayed away from this place... For starters, this is the kind of restaurant where you have to order at the front and then sit down at your own table, making it less work for the workers at the counter. The bad thing is that they don't even bring you water or anything, so I had to go back up and ask for it myself. Now for the food- - The pho noodles were completely overcooked and the portions were definitely too small for a $14 bowl of pho. - The pad see ew was greasy, flavorless and salty AND the beef was not fully cooked. WHY AREN'T YOU GUYS COOKING YOUR FOOD COMPLETELY??? - The cookies and cream milkshake had a bunch of ice chunks, and they use a very chemically tasted Hersheys syrup - Pad thai was also pretty salty and very very greasy ALSO THERE WERE FLIES EVERYWHERE!!! Maybe that's why no one wants to sit down here. Do not fall for the propaganda of the high reviews they give drinks for. Stop by on the way to the gym to pick up some VNese coffee since I got a coupon for buy one get one free. They just open so very quiet, clean spacious with minimal decor and music. The place is tuck in a small shopping mall area with Target, shops, restaurants and a bank. The menu is with pho, noodle dishes with appetizers. Prices range from $10 and up. I know this place is popular with "the kids" as they say but as a boba spot, it doesn't compete with boba guys or other serious boba spots. The boba is tiny and not cooked that great. Hiccups has always been consistent with their drinks and their food, which keeps us coming back. Parking is a little tight but over all it's a great place to pick up a snack or drink. The staff is hit or miss but 7/10 times friendly enough while other times they just seem like they couldn't care less. read more

Stopped by Hiccups in Long Beach and it was a decent experience, though a bit hit or miss. I went with the garlic noodles with shaken beef the noodles themselves were tasty and full of flavor, but honestly, save your money on the beef. The quality wasn't great and the dish is much better plain with just the noodles. We also tried the popcorn chicken with sweet chili and ranch. Pro tip: skip the ranch it doesn't add much. Stick with the sweet chili, which is really tasty and makes the chicken shine. For drinks, I grabbed the horchata milk tea and my girlfriend had the fruity booty. The horchata milk tea was just okay it didn't really deliver on that classic horchata flavor. The fruity booty, on the other hand, was delicious and definitely the better choice between the two. read more

I just visited Hiccups this past Tuesday for the first time and I walked in there about 7:30 PM and it was pretty busy and I kind of felt bad cause there was only one person working. He was like cooking and working the register and taking the orders and serving people, I was like what is going on here? he was pretty much alone. Place was nice and tidy, welcoming . I ordered the pho-- (a little pricey but what isn't now a days) and the wait wasn't that bad, but honestly guys, I have to say, it might be the best pho I've ever had. I've tried pho from a lot of different places, so I don't say that lightly. The broth was incredibly flavorful, rich, and comforting, like it had been simmering for hours. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, and everything just came together so well. Maybe I was just extra hungry, but it was so good I genuinely can't stop thinking about it. I already want to go back and try it again, though I'm almost nervous it won't live up to how amazing it was the first time.
