My new and favorite Thai restaurant in Seal Beach. Why? Because they offer the Spring rolls wrapped in the rice wrapper with the fresh veggies and basil! Thai Rocharin lost me as a customer because this item was deleted because "it was too much trouble ". They lost me and Thai on Main gained me simply because of this, my favorite item. I feel valued as a customer and love their menu more than any other Thai restaurants. Parking may be a hassle but I order delivery. We'll worth the delivery charge. read more

First time dining here, I ordered the Thai Boat Noodle and asked if they can swap out the small noodles for the softer fat noodles, the waiter acted like it was an inconvenience to him. I came here at non rush hour, 3:30pm on a Monday. When it was time to pay I went up the counter to pay and I just put down the phone to reach for my wallet, the same damn waiter slapped the table with an attitude because I didn't pull out my credit card fast enough. The crispy shrimp wontons were one of the worse we have had. 1 baby shrimp per wonton and typically the cheese is cream cheese but this was like a glob of string cheese. Not good. Plus the sauce for the wontons was so runny. The flavor wasn't gross but also wasn't good. The Phad Thai was eh. Nothing to write home about. The fried rice was bland and the service very slow. They were nice but slow service on the food. Clean up, very quick though. The best thing from our meal was the IPA. We won't be back unfortunately. read more

Had my 5 year old with me. I asked if we could just do a small side order of plain chow mein noodles and was told no. They only had another type for the side noodles and if I wanted chow mein I'd have to order a whole order of it. Never experienced this at a Thai restaurant. I'm willing to pay a little bit extra for the change but not an adult/sharing size portion. Not sure why Postmates thinks this restaurant is 4.8 stars - it is overpriced and undersized and flavor is just ok. $26 crying tiger beef did indeed make me cry! It's way overcooked and flavorless! The curry is $17 (!) and is sooo tiny and the real issue is that it is almost all veggies - barely any protein! The mango sticky rice is also way overpriced at $15.50 I paid this, delivery fee, and tip as I was expecting 4.8 star food. I was very disappointed! Will not order again from them. read more

I googled and drove by a couple of restaurants, but their windows were dirty (an immediate turn off for me) I was with my cousin who lives in Long Beach and often frequents this restaurant but didn't think I wanted to drive to Seal Beach - "Gurl!!!! - I drive for Thai food!!!!" I was with my family of 4 looking for a place for dinner and thought we would try out Thai on Main. Let's just say I won't be going back there again. At first our waiter seemed great and attentive and our appetizers came out very quickly. But once we ordered that went out the window. Half our parties food came on time but our waiter came up with the excuse that they could not get our other half parties food because of a big party. Which at first I understood but after taking a look around the restaurant no one was in there except for my party, the big party, and 2 people. There should be no excuse when your restaurant isn't nearly filled. It was about 30 minutes until the other half of my family got there food and when I brought it up to our waiter he talked back and didn't even apologize for this inconvenience. I came here with my friends to eat dinner since we were craving Thai food. I ordered the spicy duck fried rice which is one of the TOM specialties. It was delightful and delicious. There was a good amount of duck meat in it as well. I will say most stir fried dishes are insanely greasy... and this one was very greasy as well. My friends got the pad see ew, kra prao, and drunken noodles which were all yummy. The service was amazing! My fiance and I were walking our dog down Main St in Seal Beach when we walked across this establishment. She was craving Thai food, so I said why not, let's eat here! It's nice a small establishment and they have outdoor seating, so we opted to do that since we had our dog. The menu was quite large and there were plenty of different selections. We opted to try something different than our usual pad thai and thai boat noodles. The Crab Fried Rice, was the best thing we ate at dinner. The fried rice definitely had that smoky taste from the burning hot wok when they stir fried it, we like to call wok hei. They definitely used real crab meat in this dish, which my fiance loved. It was full of flavor and smokiness that every fried rice dish should have. The Red Curry with Roasted Duck was also very delicious. The curry was very creamy and sweet and came with a side of rice. Exceptionally excellent Thai food in an intimate setting with attentive service. The curries we're amazing. The yellow was the best which was surprising to me because generally Panang or Green are my favorites. I couldn't get enough of it! I highly recommend the curry trio so you can try a taste of the yellow, red and green. But go yellow if you only wanna try one. Excellent wine list. They do have a liquor bar here as well which wasn't clear online or on the menu. The cocktails were mostly foo foo and sweet which isn't my cup of tea (or shot of hooch I should say ;-) We had multiple servers which was really interesting. One server in particular was really fun and liked teasing my Dad because there just wasn't enough tequila in his margarita. A margarita at a Thai restaurant you say? Yes, we were just glad he was finally convinced to eat something that isn't steak. Well actually he did get steak and he like it! (The Nua Sawan Wok seared soy-honey marinated beef medallions on a bed of lettuce. Served with special pepper vinaigrette.) The Pad Thai wasn't my favorite but I only had one bite. Sometimes when we are in an area that was unplanned to be in, I just don't remember the name of the local places that had so recently been highly praised. So cruising down Main Street in Seal Beach, without a clear destination means Bf will make a bee line to the first empty parking space. That spot was right in front of Thai On Main. So this was a gamble, but we were hungry and I saw lunch specials listed in the window and the window seats were all occupied. Had the waitress from h*ll not vanished, this would have been a one star review, at best. The conversation with her was a flurry of curt questions. Drinks? No drinks? What are you having? Ready to order? When the menus were quickly removed, although I requested to keep mine after I ordered, I took a discreet photo of the interior. She rushed back demanding to know if I had taken her picture. That's something that I don't do without the server's permission. I told her I did not. We found her manner confrontational, and with that, we suddenly had a new and better waitress. Even though the lunch was good, her harsh behavior left a unpleasant taste. The Pad Kee Ew with tofu and Spicy Cashew were tasty as were the salad and soup. Since the portions were somewhat small we decided to share a dessert. Had I been allowed to keep the menu we would have skipped the expensIve sticky rice and mango. Nicely made but the price of a dinner entree at $15.95! As we left, I asked if I might take with me a takeout menu from the stack. I was told "no, that is online". While lunch was quite tasty, four stars all round, the attitudes we encountered were just too strange. Four stars for our dishes, but the somewhat chill and brisk attitude was just too unappetizing. Sad and unsuccessful serendipity. I now see the previous reviews have a number of complaints about service, oddly with intense drama. We happened to see this place while in the area and fell in love with it immediately. The atmosphere and decor was super nice, the Christmas tree was nice and made the space feel cozy. We went on a Sunday, so they had a couple of football games up too, which was fun. I really enjoyed the food here! The Pad See Ew was tasty! I have a few substitutions usually when I order this, because I can't eat broccoli, but I think that confused my waitress a little bit. My order was correct though and I appreciated it. My husband ordered the Red Curry, looked a bit more orange than red, but he thought it was good. He ordered a spice level of 9, but it wasn't spicy at all! The flavor was on point, but just missing the spice factor that he loves. We also ordered the Calamari rings and I've never had Calamari with a sweet and sour sauce, buuuuut, it's a great way to eat it! I liked that they introduced me to enjoying an old classic in a new way! The Thai Iced Tea was also a great addition, love having a cold ice tea on the side! Experienced NONE of the service complaints. Came on a Weds afternoon, just in time for happy hour. One server, but it wasn't overly busy and he handled everyone attentively. We got a couple HH appetizers (spring rolls & edamame) and a draft beer and the Yuzu drop - all tasty. Got the tofu Pad Thai to split - was flavorful and seemed fresh. The food is really good! I enjoy their Pad See Ew but I really wish they'd do something about their fly problem! I'm eating INDOORS and have to fight off like four flies trying to get to my food. I notice they keep their front door wide open which probably isn't helping. It's really irritating.
