Celebrating Christmas Eve at The Olde Ship has definitely been a family tradition for many years for us! They decorate it up so beautifully and it has the best vibrant and festive atmosphere anywhere! They have fabulous British food and the best clam chowder around daily. They also have a great beer selection and a full bar with a pint or a toddy to delight anyone. If you've never been run, don't walk because aboard the ship you're but a stranger once! If you're really lucky, you'll get the extremely unique service of everyone's favorite bartender, Danny!

I used to go to the one in Santa Ana before the pandemic, they closed... Surprise to found there is one in Fullerton too! The vibe is very similar, menu item too. The Scotty eggs is very good, the batter on fish and chip is just the right amount Our server is pretty attentive, and he used to work in the Santa Ana one !..

It's been 15 years since my one and only visit to The Olde Ship! Definitely an upgrade. Why did I go back? My husband has been wanting to try a Traditional British Breakfast, and they have one. The not so pleasant smell is still there, but after being seated a few minutes, we didn't notice it. I don't know what it is, but it's definitely not an inviting aroma. Hubby ordered what we came for, the Traditional British Breakfast, and added a side of Black Pudding. It's a large platter of food with baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, two fried eggs, fried bread, a banger, English bacon, and of course, his side of Black Pudding. The meal was served with a container of really tasty mustard, and our server highly recommended the "brown sauce" instead of ketchup, which is HP Sauce. I have to agree with her, the HP sauce was really good! Kind of like ketchup with worcestershire. I sampled everything on his plate and it was definitely interesting, considering I had never tried many of those items. The veggies/beans were great, and I loved the banger. English bacon sort of reminded us of thinly sliced ham, it was pretty good. The Black Pudding actually had a better flavor than I was expecting, kind of earthy with a warm spice, like allspice. Texturally though, I couldn't handle more than one bite. I didn't try the bread because he said it was just too greasy to really enjoy. I had their Fish & Chips, ordered two pieces of cod. Oh my! One piece would have been plenty, as they are HUGE. I brought the other one home. It was served piping hot, the batter was CRISPY and the fish was super flakey and delicious. The fries were fine, and you get loads of them. Their tartar sauce is really good! Our server, Rusty, was so sweet and friendly, she made us feel very welcome there. We're both glad we tried the British Breakfast, although i'm not sure it's something either of us will be craving in the future. Hopefully it won't be another 15 years before I come back!

Curry Sark's veggie curry lunch portion. Half and half rice and crisps plus a side of naan. So so good!

Long overdue review. Authentic and quaint British pub nestled in Fullerton. Great selection of beers and excellent food options, particularly Cutty Sark's curry. Make sure you add the naan for proper dipping and scooping up of the lingering curry sauce. The spice level options are nice to tailor to different palates. The medium was still nice and spicy (peppery not chili). We always enjoy a proper pint (plus a few more) and love the outdoor seating. We recently brought our pup with us and the waitstaff doted on him just wonderfully. Their lunch portions are perfect if you're looking to have a few extra pints and not fill up on a whole entree. Jeff took excellent care of us and his hospitality just elevated our experience. Can't wait to try that traditional English breakfast! One of the few spots that offers it on the menu!

Sunday rack of lamb special with red potatoes, Brussels sprout, mashed taters, grave and peas and carrots. WOW!

I've been coming here since the late nineties. I wanted something different for Lent. Fish and Chips I have had nearly every item in the menu, over the years. I miss the Santa Ana location. I love the atmosphere and the people. My favorite server will ALWAYS be Rusty (Miss Susan. My favorite used to be the Fisherman's Platter or the Full English Breakfast with blood sausage! Delish. I can't eat as much, nowadays, so I'm fully devoted to the Bacon Sarnie. I add tomato and fried egg (by Rusty's suggestion) and it is DEVINE. Also, if you want fish and chips, treat yourself to the haddock. Highly recommend! At Christmas, it's decorated in a Festive manner. This is my "go to" spot when I'm hungry and can't decide on anything. I am a FOREVER loyal customer

Pretty good. Not great, but honestly a better experience than anything. I've always wanted to try this place, being that I always pass by when driving up and down Harbor, and the entire visit was... adequate. I will say, the food was really good. My issues are really the price and service. Had no idea they'd charge us a fee for splitting our plate. Had me and my guest known tho we would've just ate off of one plate. Also, the portions don't really seem to match the price point. It all seems a bit much for the amount of food we got. I have no complaints about the taste of the food itself. It's all really good. The sticky toffee pudding is probably the best desert I've had in a while. I just wish there was more of it. Overall, okay.

Me and my friends love coming to the olde ship! We've been here a ton especially during the holidays. It's festive, great food, great service, and always a vibe. Highly recommend! My go to's cottage pie, chips and curry sauce medium spice (I need this EVERYTIME), fish and chips, clam chowder, and toffee pudding or tea for dessert. Can get busy at night so we like to go a bit early for dinner. Went there last night and exchanged gifts with the girls. Ovis was our server and was great. Love it here and will be back pre usual!

Came back to try more and it was as delicious as ever. The ambiance really makes you feel like you're in an old ship. The service is fast and the food exceptional if you like British delicacies. They have scotch eggs!

I went there for the first time last night with my husband. He's half British the food was amazing. I love shepherd pie. The onion rings were fantastic. The chips were very good. The service was fantastic. The ladies that were serving us last night were super sweet. One of them told us go check out the bathrooms and see what they look like on the inside. I thought that was cool when I got there I joked about making a phone call outside at the phone Booth. I thought it was pretty cool looking we will definitely be back.

Came into the Olde ship today wanted to have a drink and get something light to we were greeted by a friendly, an enthusiastic waiter who sat us promptly in the bar that was busy for Thursday. We had the clam chowder which was delicious by the way, and it's not even Friday and the garden salad, generous portions. Our drinks were great too. Definitely a great atmosphere and some good music in the barrier area today. Thank you Olde ship

Was craving for fish & chips so we went here since we're in the neighborhood. Great place & great pub to hangout they have the bar side, the dinning side and the back outdoor yard. Parking can be in-front or the back of the place. We parked in the back and entered through the which is small but cozy and everyone is enjoying and chatting away. The whole place filled with either England's pubs, places or painting pictures or artifacts that just homey vibe. Service is fantastic, warm and very friendly. Menu is very English so we got seafoods platter, claim chowder, crab cakes, and fish pie plus toffee pudding for dessert. For me, it's a hit and missed..we all know that English foods is bland and tast-less and I'm Asian so seasoning is a must. But been and lived in England before so I understood & appreciated their fine comfort foods and I do missed it here and there and tonight was one of them. Claim chowder was great, rich, creamy and packed with great ingredients. Crab cakes were a missed, tasteless (even salt added) and were not tightly packed - great chips thought. Seafood platter was good, still needs alot of salt for favor. The fish pie was great, very healthy and well cooked. Would be better if the top burned abit more for crust...carrots & peas are perfectly boiled. And the toffee pudding was a hit, less sweet than I remembered but that is perfectly fine with me. Just perfectly ended the meal well. Overall it was good place for some English comfort foods and that cozy warm feeling overall.

I tried a new dinner entrée tonight and it did not disappoint. May I strongly suggest ordering their meat pie with the mashed potatoes and gravy with peas and carrots. Absolutely delicious. Wash this down with a couple of pints of Guinness and enjoy a little live music. And as always, their staff is amazing. And I love the British ambience inside

Still very good! It's been a while since my last visit, and I'm happy to say it was just as enjoyable. The English breakfast, fish and chips, and cottage pie are all solid choices. The beer is refreshing, the vibe remains great, and the service is excellent. After recently visiting London, I can confidently say this place is truly a gem. Definitely worth checking out.

Steak and Al pie. It was delectable.

Do they take reservations?

Is there space for a party of 12-14 people?

I believe there is room. They had a long rectangular table set up for a family event the night we were there. I do not think there is room in the bar area but in the dining room (rt adjacent) was this table. You have to realize this is not a large… Read more

Is it only 21+?

No, kids are definitely allowed!

Is there still a happy hour?

Yes and lunch specials and extra seating in the back of the restaurant with benches

Do they have fried Haddock?

They do. One of the few fish & chips restaurants around that actually offer a choice of cod or haddock. Fried haddock serving is a big piece of fish.

Will you be showing the Champions league Final between Manchester city vs Inter?

Call them.

Is there any type of available parking?

Not really. There is an alleyway in the back but you can guess how that goes. I typically find parking in the neighboring street and walk through the alley. Not too bad of a walk!

Live music on Fridays and Saturdays here too?

Are you open at 7am for the World Cup games?

They have been opening early beat to call and confirm

My buddy and I are meeting there for lunch tomorrow at 11:30. Is there a waiting line? Should I make reservations?

Not that I'm aware. But check the website as the hours may have changed Or try to call them

Do they still serve prime rib dinner?

Yes, and for lunch and dinner

Are they open for dine in or takeout?

Yes both

Are you featuring live music in the patio area?

They have live music Saturdays, but I don't know if it's indoor or outdoor. Sorry.

Still open? Called multiple times at 5pm on Saturday and no answer.

I passed by last Thursday and all was closed. Maybe they will reopen but not certain.

Are you guy's currently offering takeout?

They are open and offering take out and dine in.

Are they open as of right now due to COVID?

They are open now for take out and dine in.

Are there vegan options?

Yes they sure do !

Is this place ok for kids?

It's main feature is the bar, there's also a small dining room. Mostly adults, but it's fine for kids too.

Yes it is, we have 26 beers on Tap in Santa Ana Ana 18 in Fullerton

Does Olde Ship serves haggis?

No, but they do do a pretty decent beef and kidney pie!

The first time, I came for the Monday night burger and beer special for $10.95 after 4pm. The burger was very good with a nice sized patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a wheat bun. The beer pour isn't just a glass, it's larger-sized schooner. Specialty beers on tap are an extra $2. The burger doesn't come with a side, but a tasty burger and a large beer for under $11 is a great deal. The following week, I came back for the Tuesday night BBQ special. Their BBQ chicken and ribs dinners are 30% off, and come with two sides and a fresh dinner roll. I got the full slab of ribs which was only $21 after discount. They definitely do not skimp on the ribs, as the plate came with two large half slabs stacked on top of each other. The ribs were cooked well, and the BBQ sauce had a good mix of tang and sweetness. I had coleslaw and fries for my sides. The other options for sides are Beckett's beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, and pasta salad. A half slab and the fries filled me up, and I took the other half and the coleslaw home. This is also a great deal for only $21. Other special days include Wednesday $3.50 schooner night from 5pm to 7pm, Friday night $10.95 fish taco plate, and Saturday and Sunday breakfast specials from 10am to noon. They have a pool table, darts, and many TVs with various sports playing. Service was timely and friendly.

Kevin the manager couldn't care less that we were here as customers not for the monster truck thing so they didn't give us a table and we had to sit at the bar. He initially said that there was a 30 min wait even though we could see empty tales. We had already paid so we had to stay to get the $30 discount on your bill when spending $30. He was not willing to refund since they were not technically the ones charging you. Once we sat at the bar, the bartender was nice and made us feel comfortable so we could enjoy our night. The place was crowded with families with kids, adults just overindulging and being very loud. The moment the event started time got closer, all of this crowd started leaving which allowed us to really enjoy our night. The food was great as always. The poke nachos are really tasty with a good balance of fish and nachos. The fish and chips is one of our go to dishes they are always perfectly cooked. We have noticed that shrinkflation has happened throughout the years, but after enjoying a few beers you don't notice anymore. This was the first time trying their burger and it was amazing! The patty was perfectly cooked and the flavors just worked together. We also decided to give the beeramisu a second try and we enjoyed it. It is a creative and unique twist to your traditional tiramisu. Since it had been a while, we didn't even know that they have a club now. We gladly join and got the poke nachos as a welcome gift. Overall the experience started on a bad note but we left happy after good food, service and drinks. Also, Kevin came by after the mess to check on us and apologize for the inconvenience. Make sure you check the angel stadium for event before you come, they will be busy.
