Lana provided excellent service--she was attentive, made sure all of our needs were met, and did a wonderful job connecting with our kids, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the overall experience with some of the other staff members. One employee felt the need to be loud the whole time and reprimand Lana in a way that the entire restaurant could hear, which was uncomfortable to witness. TL;DR - one of the better OC pho spots with deep, hot broth. Beef belly pho + unlimited extra noodles and the free herbal tea with yelp check in = yes please. But no free sliced onions is major downside and why I knocked to 4 stars instead of 5. This spot is my favorite pho spot in OC personally. While the Pho Tai Bung is technically the "cheapest" but after having tried a few of the other options such as filet mignon, Wagyu, and bone in short rib.... The beef belly just slaps hardest. The broth is deep without being too salty and while they don't offer cilantro like many other pho spots do... (I love cilantro) I don't find myself missing it when I try the broth. I don't feel the need to add sriracha or hoisin sauce to my broth either as the flavor is great as is. Unlimited extra noodles is always such a plus so take advantage of that. The amount of noodles that comes with the initial order is probably smaller than some other spots but I prefer that so that I could always eat perfectly slightly undercooked noodles. Servers are always attentive and plenty of seating so no issues with parties or seats. The robot servers help make orders come efficiently and fast as well. The biggest con I would say and it's honestly a pretty big one for me personally is they recently changed their menu to now charge for sliced onions. This might be the first pho spot ever that I've had to pay for an order of sliced onions. (All Koreans know to make that sliced onion "kimchi" with sriracha and hoisin sauce). But the fact I can't do that freely is why I knock this a point. It's that important lol. Even the amount that comes with the $2 charge for side of sliced white onions is barely enough for 1 person. I get that prices are rising... but giving out free extra noodles and not free sliced white onions is just confusing to me. Or at least give each person in your party an included order of onions. All in all... All about pho is still my fav go-to spot for pho, yes more than Sup Noodle Bar. But sup noodle gives free onions so it's a toss up. read more

This restaurant is located in a busy plaza. I went on a weekend afternoon and parking took us some time but thankfully we were able to get a spot not too far from the restaurant. The restaurant itself is bigger on the inside compared to what you see outside. Clean and staff are easy to spot walking around as they wear dark colored clothing. I was meeting friends here so I can't speak to how long the wait was since my friends arrived first and already had a table. Though I didn't see anyone outside waiting and there were open tables. I have to join in on the heavy love for this place, I was blown away with how satisfying everything was! A clean restaurant with a modern but simplistic taste, a calm environment to enjoy a meal.. I hopped on a train into town to have family night dinner with my niece and nephew on Friday. This place is conveniently located a short walk from the train station. I arrived around 6:30ish. I appreciate that the condiments were in a ceramic dish. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I wish they paced the starters and entrees more apart. The place felt welcoming and the staff here are incredibly nice and attentive. The service was also fast but the quality of the food was still amazing! The broth was flavorful and the meats were incredibly tender. My sister and I got the phở sườn bò and my mom got the Phở Xe Lua. We all really enjoyed the food and were full towards the end. Pro Tip: If you are a yelper, definitely check in this place for a free herbal iced tea. The drink is very light in flavor and resemble a very similar drink called nuoc sam if you've ever had it. It also comes out in a cute mini cup that resembles a traditional water pot. Also come early because we came 20 mins after opening and they were already a full house. Let me start off by saying I was wrong. I was kind of skeptical about this restaurant because the interior was too thoughtful and modern for the food to be good. They have middle dividers that resemble doors from the royal palaces, chairs that look too comfortable to sit in, and tables that resemble bamboo shingles mixed with touches of concrete from the buildings in Vietnam. Oh and their bathroom area was way too clean. Thankfully I was wrong. The food here is delicious and flavorful. I ordered my usual pho tai with the filet mignon and upon first bite I will admit it felt like it was missing something. But after adding some lime and a few fixings I realized it was made a little blander so you can dress it up yourself to your liking. Because of this I thought the broth was clean, rich and deep. I did notice the lack of yellow or red onions however but they may just do things differently here. Next was the nuoc mam fries or the fish sauce fries. This was probably the most skeptical dish for me because I worried the fries would be drenched in fish sauce, but once again I was pleasantly surprised at how thoughtful the flavors were. The fish sauce replaced your ordinary table salt and transformed something ordinary to extraordinary. The fries came out in a huge pile and we would've taken it home if our hotel had an air frier. You def can split this between 3-4 people. In terms of facilities and service it was a bit choppy but they were just busy. I did appreciate our server swinging by at the end and letting us know it was endless noodles so I added another order to my still piping hot broth. It tasted just as good and definitely left me satisfied. My overall experience here was great, I definitely look forward to visiting again if I was ever to SoCal and I highly recommend this place. There is only one piece of feedback however that I hope management reads, your floors are very slippery and can be quite dangerous. Im not sure if its the solution you use to clean them but add that to a rainy day and its a recipe for disaster. I wore shoes with the most grip possible and still found myself slipping while walking normally. I can only imagine an older customer not being able to walk to their seats because of it. After some errands at Brea Mall, we stopped by here around 1PM on the Friday after Christmas to quite the crowd compared to our previous Thursdays at lunch times.
