This review has nothing to do with the food. We really enjoyed every plate we got. My problem is with one of the waitresses. I was there with my boyfriend and our son that is only a little over a year old. She came up to our table and looked at my son who again is only 1 and called him her boyfriend. A grown woman calling a 1 year old her boyfriend, like what the hell?! I was uncomfortable and just hoped she would not do that again. Our son's high chair was a couple feet in front of the register and as one year old kids are they are constantly looking around, talking, laughing, pointing at everything. At some point he looks back and she's right there and she keeps calling him in a very weird way and giving him like a flirty look and when my son looked away she made a comment about how later in life he's not going to be able to avoid the ladies. That is not ok! Not sure why a grown woman would do or say things like that. Thankfully we were at the end of our meal and just paid and left. I tried to brush it off but it kept bugging me so I'm posting a review because whoever manages this restaurant needs to know that this is not ok! Kurobota pork & shrimp Xiao Long Bao 3/5. The meat filling was too small. Steam shrimp & Pork Siu Mai 3/5. The wrapper was so thick with a small filling Hot and sour soup 4/5. Egg drop soup 4/5. Service: 5/5. The food arrived at our table quickly. The only issue I have is that the person who served the soup almost dipped her finger in the soup. She should've placed the small bowl on a saucer to avoid her finger almost touching the soup. The price: fair and reasonable. This place is really good! Was a ruby diner before and they converted to a dim sum / Chinese restaurant. The place is spacious with easy parking. Shared the parking with a Tesla charging station so very convenient if you drive one. We got shrimp and pork sui mai, Pan fried dumplings, beef rolls and chili wonton. Ordered to-go and was impressed overall. Paid around $70. The chicken wonton soup was a 10/10, chili oil chicken wontons 10/10, marinated cucumber salad 10/10, and the steamed beef and onion dumplings were also a 10/10. The fried cheese wontons were good as well, around a 7/10. The only item I wasn't a fan of was the house special chicken wings (3/10). When I cut into them, they were much pinker inside than I was comfortable with. They may have been fully cooked, but I didn't want to take the risk, so I threw them away. They also didn't seem very flavorful from what I could tell. Everything else was delicious. The customer service was decent, parking was easy, and the restaurant itself is very large inside. I ordered takeout this time, but I'd definitely like to dine in during a future visit. One thing I really appreciated was the variety of options for people who don't eat pork. This is a convenient place to dine for one, two four or larger groups. The staff is very friendly and prompt in greeting one when entering the restaurant. It is rare for me to walk out of a restaurant, but today was an exception. From the moment we were seated, we were not given menus for about 10 minutes until I asked for them. We placed our order and asked for a cup of ice for our water, but needed to ask again because we weren't given it. They served our pan fried dumplings without the rest of our order which included beef roll and vegetable egg rolls. As we waited, we noticed customers who came in after us getting their food before us. We cancelled the order and closed the check with the one item because it turned out our order wasn't being prepared. They are having a soft opening, so hopefully they will learn from the mistakes that happened here. The staff were friendly and apologetic - which is why this isn't a one star review. Dumplings were your standard won ton soup dumplings.very soft Beef roll- again. "Fine". It was probably the best thing of the dinner.. but Noodle st has theirs beat We ordered sparingly. Thinking we might order more. But decided to just stop there once we tried the dishes we ordered Service was fantastic. Really cheery and friendly. Fast too. One thing that I will call out... that damn bell the cook rings when a dish is ready to be picked up. It's loud and resonates through the dining room. Came in during their soft opening last week since we needed a soup dumpling fix but didn't want to wait for a table at Din Tai Fung. We heard that this place was open from our neighborhood community group and was excited to come try it out. The restaurant is spacious and we were happy to see that several of the tables were already occupied since this place was just in soft opening. The service was so friendly and attentive. Although I miss the Ruby's Diner that used to be here, I understand the need to change it up (Ruby's Diner had unfortunately closed in Old Town Orange and at it's newer location in downtown Brea). I appreciate dumplings and a larger menu of typical Chinese dishes and this place did not disappoint. Plenty of seating and staff and even a display window for kids to observe dumplings being made by hand. We sat in a booth facing two large TV screens so I assume watching sports events can be convenient. Although I didn't snap any photos this time because I came hungry and only had enough patience to eat, this might be my new favorite Chinese dim sum spot. Very kind, attentive. The food was pretty good! We got the pork chop fried rice (different from DTFs but still tasty) it's crispier with a thinner breading similar to popcorn chicken, the rice portion was a bit too bland for fried rice but we added soy sauce/vinegar and it was good. The shu mai also good, very fresh. Their chocolate XLB was okay for me, I wouldn't get it again. Compared to DTF, this version fell short. The chocolate was just too bitter for us and there was no cream or anything to help break up that bitterness. Their thai tea also was okay! Not sweet enough. Even the table next to us requested for a sweeter thai tea but they're not able to adjust it at all. Overall, enjoyed our experience and would come back to try other dishes. read more

I came here on the 5th day of opening. They didn't have a lot of people in when I visited. The service was amazing they checked in quiet frequently. They answered all my questions and gave us information on the food and some of its history. Was the food the best? For me it was comparable to DinTai Fung. The portions were great. Easy to share. The smoothies didn't have added coloring dyes. If it's a mango smoothie it's made with real mangos. I say check it out. I added a few photos of what we got. I hope this helps both you and the shop. Wow!! This restaurant is so good! What we loved: The ambiance is great. Giant TVs playing sports, however it feels like a nice family restaurant not a sports bar. It's also beautiful inside with the far wooden tables. The food is DELICIOUS. The prices are reasonable and the portions are big enough to share. The average price is about $15 a plate. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The servers offered suggestions for the menu and even taught us how to combine the sauces to elevate the plates. First when you walk in, it smells like dirty toilet. Then we asked if we can have fork and knife for my Caucasian friend and my daughter who doesn't do chopstick yet. They ignored us and didn't bring anything until we asked third person who works there. Then they say they don't have any knife at all so brought only forks. So we decided to get up and leave, at this point we didn't order yet and didn't even get water and when we were at the door to leave, one of Chinese man who works there said to us " please don't come back here". It's incredibly unfriendly and frankly unprofessional to treat anyone like that especially when you are in US, you should always be aware of people who don't use chopsticks. We found a new spot for great Asian food in Anaheim. My family brought me here for Father's Day. We had a large group, they sat quickly. We ordered half the menu. Everything was great! We had salt n pepper chicken, two shrimp dishes, two dumpling dishes, three fried rice dishes, house lo main, pork buns, and sweet and sour ribs. Every dish was great.
