So good! Went back the very next day for another dish and was impressed at the quality and flavors. Will absolutely go again!

Literally a closet size place connected to the Hyatt. But man they pack a punch here in this tiny space. Soup dumplings were solid. Blasted my taste buds full of scalding hot soup and pork with a ginger after taste. Of course i dipped in hot oil and soy. Shrimp potstickers were a little soggy, they could of used a crisp but the flavor was on point. Sleeper hit the chicken dumplings in chicken broth. FIRE! Veggie fried rice hit the spot too loaded with veggies and cooked well. Service was super friendly and I loved the readability of the kiosk to order. I would totally come back. PS sorry I forgot to take pics Lol read more

I would like to give them a 3.5. Their dumplings are pretty good, but not as good as Din Tai Fung, and their prices are very high for being a fast-food-style place. The chicken chow mein was good, and we enjoyed the pork soup dumplings and crispy shrimp dumplings. The cucumber salad was a huge disappointment, though--it didn't taste fresh and seemed more like pickled cucumber that had been sitting around for a while. For my 11-year-old daughter and myself, it was $60 for what didn't feel like a huge amount of food, so I felt the value was lacking. We were welcomed when we came in, but we ordered at a kiosk and our name was called when the order was ready. It took about 15 minutes for our food to be prepared. The restaurant is clean and small, and we chose to take our order to go. Overall, the food was good, but given the price and portion sizes, I'm not sure we'd go back. read more

We stayed at the hotel right opposite this restaurant during a recent visit to Disney. They have a Michelin 2021 plaque hanging in the restaurant but a google search says they don't have that recognition. Anyway, restaurant is nice and clean, not much seating inside but they have some tables outside. Be careful after sunset as there are a lot of mosquitoes in that area. We got around three dishes to share, the prices seem high but quantities are generous. Spicy wonton- 4.5/5: the spicy sauce is addictive and that was the star of this dish. Chicken chowmein-4.5/5- very memorable absolutely delicious. The umami was fingerlicking good. Chicken was soft and didn't have any funky taste. This is a dish I can keep going back to their restaurant for. Chicken fried rice:4/5: I missed egg in this one. I thought egg was a default component in any fried rice. Owing to the lack of egg, this was decent rather than great. read more

This place is kind of like an upscale Panda Express. Order at the counter and sit yourself anywhere there is a free table. Food is tasty no doubt but just be warned it could be a bit oily for some. Example, I ordered the Wagyu beef fried rice and it was cooked with a lot of oil. I could see the extra oil at the bottom of the plate. It would be nice if this could be addressed. read more

Chubby Dumpling was good, but pricey. I came here with friends to share the food family style - we ordered soup dumplings, cucumber salad, wonton dumplings, cold noodle, and shumai. The flavor of the dumplings, wonton dumplings, and shumai were awesome, with the perfect seasoning, level of chili oil, and seasoning - think of it as very similar to dim sum, The dumpling sauce was also very tasty and tangy. The cold noodles were okay - most of the flavor came from the minced pork as opposed to the sauce, but the minced pork was tasty! The cucumber salad was subpar to traditional restaurants and it almost appeared soggy which bummed me out - it also lacked flavor. For the price we paid, I feel like you could get better quality and quantity elsewhere. read more

I love the chubby brand, however the fried rice and noodles here were too greasy. Order at kiosk, they handed you your food, and you can bus your own table or they can clean up. Parking was shared with Hyatt Hotel and could be difficult to find a spot. Nice casual restaurant. Clean. Small only a few tables. Siu long bao was on. Fried rice could be MUCH less greasy. The minced meat on the noodles was overly greasy too. I understand this was a casual eatery, however it almost disservices the chubby brand. May not go again unless I would be at Disneyland. It indeed is conveniently located near Disneyland. read more

Small chinese spot with parking in the back. I love the convenience of the self order kiosk and options to dine in/take out, limited seating though. Food was very yummy, but definitely on the more expensive side. pork soup dumplings: $13.50 for 6 pc. 8/10. Very yummy, but expensive and small portion. wagyu beef mini bao: $15.50 for 6 pc. 6/10. expensive and not very tasty. bao with a meatball inside. skip spicy prok/shrimp wonton: $13.60 for 6 pc. 7.4/10. Yummy but not better than other spicy shrimp/pork wontons that I have had. spicy dry noodles w/ minced pork: $15.50. 9.4/10. Best thing we ordered!!! so delicious, packed with flavor, meat, and sauce. A little bit oily, but delicious nonetheless. Would get this again. sweet and sour pork ribs: $16.60. 7.2/10. Yummy but nothing special. steamed custard bao: $6.99 for 3 pc. 5/10. Something was off. Did note enjoy this. read more

This was like easy Chinese fast food, but the food was actually very good! However, I'm giving it three stars because it was pretty pricey and each dumpling was super tiny. It was around $80 for two people with four items and drinks, but we still weren't full. Probably a good option for visitors at Disneyland- especially for takeout, but I wouldn't say it's the best value for locals. read more

Chubby Dumplings is part of the Chubby Group. Unlike the other sister restaurants in the Chubby Group which focus on upscale experiential dining, Chubby Dumplings focuses on a fast-casual dining experience and customers place their orders using one of two kiosks. This spot used to be Luscious Dumplings (received a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2021), but the Chubby Group took over and rebranded it as Chubby Dumplings. [Parking]: Free parking in the rear and the parking spaces are shared with Hyatt House and Walgreens. [Amenity & service]: Small space with both indoor and few outdoor tables. A restroom is available. Our party waited approximately 20 minutes for the food even though the restaurant was only half full. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and Pan Fried Pork Dumplings. *** Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings (6 pieces - $13.50): The skin was a bit thicker than I had expected and the broth had an average flavor. Steamed Chicken & Corn Dumplings (6 pieces - $13.00): I should have read the menu more closely as these steamed dumplings contained corn and I certainly wasn't expecting this ingredient. They tasted alright. Shrimp with Pork Siu Mai (6 pieces - $12.50): Ironically this appetizer order was probably the best of the three, but damn hefty price tags for 6 small pieces of pork siu mai. *** 3-star for the food but bump down due to (1) the food took a long time to prepare (20+ minutes) despite this being a fast-casual restaurant and (2) the portions were small relative to the somewhat expensive prices. This is the most disappointing restaurant I have experienced out of all the restaurants I have visited that are part of the Chubby Group. read more

Self service ordering, pretty straight forward. A few tables and a bar type area. Braised egg, the sauce was really yummy. Each other comes with 2 eggs that is sliced in half. My favorite was the sweet and sour ribs. It was sweet and meat was tender. Wonton in chili sauce had the same sauce as the eggs, so that was enjoyable. Wish the wonton had more filing. Wonton soup had the same wonton, soup had a miso taste with seaweed. Porkchop had a good flavor and nice crispy texture. Minus one star for the rude staff. read more

Amazing!! So yummy!! I didn't know Chubby Dumplings had Bib Gourmand recognition, but it definitely lives up to the hype in my opinion. They have a good variety of different types of dumplings: soup dumplings, wontons, fried. We got all of those and some dry noodles which were also delicious. The place itself is kind of small with limited seating, but we were able to snag a table on a Thursday night. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. I honestly can't wait to come back and tell everyone to try this place! *there's 2 hour parking in the back lot by the hotel read more

This is a great Asian spot near Disney that isn't Din Tai Fung. The employees are really nice. Service is quick. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A restroom is available. Free parking in a small rear lot shared with Walgreens (it will look like you're pulling in to Hyatt parking). Mild noise level inside; can be noisy outside depending on how busy the adjacent road is. They have a good amount of food and drink options, from noodles and rice to dumplings and pig ears. Fountain drinks are self-serve, and they also offer canned and bottled drinks. The veggie dishes, fried rice, and noodles are delicious. I highly recommend the spicy wontons. Their dim sum options aren't the best I've ever had, but their other menu items make up for it. You order at the kiosk and pick up your food when your number is called (they sometimes bring it out to you if you're outside). Prices are on the higher side, so don't go here on a budget. Come later in the evening and eat outside if the weather permits! You'll get thinner crowds, good ambiance, and yummy food. read more

Chubby Dumplings - Minced Wagyu Beef Fried Rice, Classic Scallion Oil Dry Noodles, Spicy Chicken Wonton (6pc), Green Beans Wok-Tossed w. Garlic - Chinese Near Me - Anaheim, California

Be warned - menu items do not match Yelp menu or their menu online (this is as of March 2026). See photos for most recent menu options. No ramen. TLDR; solid Chinese food; prices are on the higher side, but expected for the location and convenience. Definitely a fast causal joint; all high top seating, including a long bar like seating along the wall through to the back entrance of the place. I was disappointed they were not serving any noodle soups (mislead by the yelp photos). Free parking in the back though! Pig Ear & Lotus Root $12.50 - 7/10; the lotus root is super fresh & crunchy; but you need to toss it yourself before diving in; the pig ears needed the light and refreshing sauce. Spicy Kurobata Pork Wontons $12 - 8/10; similar to Din Tai Fung, lighlty spicy, juicy wontons; made for the American palate. I dipped everything in this sauce. Classic Scallion Oil Dry Noodle $13 - 8/10; sesame oil forward with soy sauce, al dente noodles, would order again. Kurobata Pork Wonton Soup $13.50 - 7/10; hearty wontons, hit my soup craving, served in a chicken broth that was seaweed forward. Mushroom Pot Stickers $14 - 4/10; this was undercooked; you can tell by how pasty it looks on the outside; it's missing the classic "lace" from being pan fried. A little wild that it was $14 for 5 pieces; the wrapper was tacky b/c it was slightly raw read more

LATE NIGHT DUMPLINGS This place saved us. We finished a show at the Anaheim Gardenwalk around 10pm and were craving dumplings. Most dumpling places normally close by then. But not CHUBBY DUMPLING. Free parking in rear by Walgreens and open until 11pm. We ordered the bok choy and minced wagyu, the wagyu fried rice, soup dumplings, pork siu mai, and custard buns. It was made in a timely manner, fresh and we enjoyed the minced wagyu as extras on our food. The soup dumplings were soupy as promised, the siu mai was moist and firm and the rice was flavorful. Sadly we came here at 945pm and I noticed a lot of their food is sold out already! That was a bummer but did not want to leave anymore and find another spot so we stuck around and ordered whatever was left. Some pork shrimp chives dumplings that I can't even taste the chives. The pork and shrimp spicy dumplings, this was ok. We ordered the bao buns, Dan Dan and wagyu stir fry noodles. The noodles were pretty good. The bao buns my kids loved. The place is def small and nothing big And fancy. You order through a computer at the front. I do appreciate the free parking by the Hyatt house/walgreens complex. I personally thing it was just ok. We ordered at the kiosk and waited for our food. We all got hungry when we saw the food and ended up eating there instead of taking it back immediately. We thought we'd order more to bring back, but by the time we finished, the dinner rush hit, and they got really busy. We had to wait a while for the new order. We were coming back from a full day adventure in Lake Arrowhead and was hungry and craving something soupy and comforting. Anaheim was on our way back and we figured we'd try out this place that I had bookmarked for a while. We arrived around 8pm-ish and a couple of items were already sold out, so we didn't get to try their XLB. t's a very casual setting, you order on the tablet, seat yourself and pick up when the order is ready. Food isnt bad but it isn't the most tastiest that I've had. If I was at Disneyland and was craving for dumplings and soup and this was one of the only spots that were open, I'd be open to visit again and try their XLB. || P A R K I N G || L O C A T I O N || -Cross Streets are S Harbor and W Katella -Located near Downtown Disney and shares the same parking lot as Walgreens -Free parking is a plus || F O O D || Pork & Shrimp Dumplings - the filling was good but the dumpling skin was way too thick for me personally Shrimp HarGow - Not bad, the skin wasn't as thick as their Pork & Shrimp Dumplings but was still a bit thick to me. I would have gotten their Siumai if it had been available that night. DanDan Noodles - not bad! good amount of chewy noodles and meat! we asked them for chili oil to make it spicier. Shrimp & Pork Spicy Wontons - these were delicious! Wagyu Steak Ramen Soup - basically Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup but instead of beef chunks, I got strips of wagyu steak. I think the fact that they were strips also caught me off guard because I'm so used to seeing chunks in beef noodle soup. The wagyu was a great addition, but it might have been slightly overcooked. The broth is a lot heavier and oilier compared to other beef noodle soups that I've had. At that moment, it was exactly what I needed after a cold day filled with outdoor activities; however, I don't typically go for this type of heavier beef noodle soup, so this one is definitely a once in a while treat for me. read more

1/2 (3.5-4, adjusted lower due to order issue) This is one of the Chubby locations, situated in Anaheim. It's conveniently located on Katella Ave, right next to Blaze Pizza and Starbucks, just east of Harbor Blvd. Parking: Parking is in the rear -- there's a driveway immediately past Harbor Blvd heading east on Katella. It's shared with Hyatt and Walgreens, and the best part: free parking. The restaurant is also just down the block from Disneyland's front entrance and shuttle area, which makes it a convenient stop before or after a park visit. It is small in there and it feels everything is kind of cramped up. Not sure if it's good for large group of people. On that, I would give them a lower rating. Ordering & Timing: I ordered online through their website, and the quoted pickup time was pretty accurate, which I appreciate. What I Ordered: * Siu Mai (4 pcs) * BBQ Pork Bun (1 pc) * Black Pepper Beef Dumplings (6 pcs) * Wagyu Beef Dan Dan Noodles Order Accuracy Issue: I specifically requested no cilantro (the website even prompted this), but that request was not honored. That's a big miss for me and definitely costs them one star. ‍ Food Thoughts: * BBQ Pork Bun: Decent, nothing outstanding * Dumplings: Filling was fine, but the dumpling skin was below average * Temperature: Food wasn't as warm as expected, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a to-go order and I didn't eat until about 15 minutes later Service: Customer service was okay -- not especially friendly, but not bad either. Very neutral. Overall: Under normal circumstances, this would be a solid 3.5-4 star spot. However, since they asked for preferences and didn't follow through, I have to rate it a bit lower. That said, it's not a bad place at all, and I'd definitely give it another try, especially since there are still plenty of menu items I haven't explored yet. read more

As a very experienced dumpling eater, I have to say these dumplings are not what we expected. First of all, they were all out of juicy pork dumplings (XLB), it's disappointing as that is the most popular dish to eat at a dumpling shop. Secondly, the boiled dumplings that we ordered are not freshly made, you can see the freeze burn on the top of the thick skin dumplings. Third, the overall food was not good. I have no idea how Yelp ratings were so high. :) Popcorn chicken - these little popper were hot and good :| Dandan noodles - the flavor was odd and didn't have the heat I would expect from these noodles, they were a total failure :( Boiled pork/shrimp dumplings - no bueno! freezer burn and thick skin was not good, we had to leave the top part of the skin off to eat it :( Mushroom pan fried dumplings - no bueno! it was filled with mushrooms but it lacked flavor and need to be juicy or some kind of gravy. It was so bad and sad. We didn't see the chubby in the dumplings, so, we came out feeling disappointed that we didn't become chubby from Chubby Dumplings. NOTES: Contactless ordering. Casual dining w/take out containers only. Need improvements on recipes! read more

Oh no honey, this place is not it. I'm so sad because when we visited before, it was Luscious and Delicious and this new version is neither. What the heck happened? It still had plenty of customers and they have a new big screen ordering system, which is nice but the food lacked flavor. Huge difference from before. The employees did not address us at all when we walked in, while we were ordering or any time. Kinda weird. Restaurant was clean, bright and had plenty of napkins, utensils, sauces, etc. avail. We ordered the pork buns but was given one custard bun, so we went back to ask for the right item. The shrimp shumai was pretty tasty, prob the best thing. Cucumber salad, so watered down but they give tons of cucumber, too bad not worth eating. The dan dan noodles were decent but again, lacked flavor. The fried wonton was good, came with a spicy sauce. And the sesame oil wontons were decent, but small portion with just as much veggie as wonton in the bowl. They were sold out of soup dumplings so can't say how those were. Food did come out super quick, but I wonder how did it come out that fast - unless its sitting there and they heat it up? Ugh. What a shame, we won't be going back. read more

I don't remember the last time I was compelled to write a review before I even finished the meal, but here we are. We ordered for pick up on a Friday night, and the eta was 45 minutes, we arrived after 20 minutes, and the entire place was empty and our food was waiting.. already cold. Got the mushroom dumpling, pork soup dumplings, bbq pork bun, steamed custard bun, and spicy shrimp wonton. The mushroom dumpling was so undercooked, the tip where the folds are were so hard, it was inedible. The pork dumplings were alright, the shrimp wontons were way spicier than expected. The buns tasted like they were frozen from the grocery store.. the custard texture was chunky and greenish (the pics were yellow) and not oozy like it should be. We had placed the order on the Toast app, and it specifically asked for dipping sauces for each dumpling dish we ordered and there were no dipping sauces in sight. Overall sooo disappointing, but add on the fact that this is supposed to be Michelin gourmand, it's disappointing and appalling. How on earth do they have 4 stars on here? read more

After attending an expo across the street we decided to try this place. Overall it was just ok. I still prefer the traditional style of dim sum. These appear to be a bit more modernized. The har gow and siu mai is as traditional as it can get, but these to me were still just ok. They didn't have much flavor as I would have expected. The chicken pot stickers were good but I just didn't like that they had corn in them. The won ton were ok. Just tasted a little bland. We were in the Anaheim area after exploring Disneyland and decided to try this place before calling it a night. Too bad for us because most of the items were already gone when we visited. They didn't have the XLB dumplings, which I was so looking forward to trying! Upon entering, the staff already told us to go ahead and order from the self-order screen, but they were there in case we had any questions. We ended up only getting the shumai, scallion noodle, the spicy wontons, and a fountain drink. 4 items, and it costs us about $45. The shu Mai was only 4 small pieces, the scallion noodles had a nice aroma, came with half an egg, and tasted pretty decent. The spicy wonton came pretty late, as we were wrapping up with the other items. The sauce was okay, but the wonton itself was so-so. This place supposedly had a Michelin star, but I think there are better restaurants out there. It's just that if you're in the area, there really aren't any other options if you're craving something like dumplings/noodles. The staff also doesn't make all the food fresh; if you order rice dishes, they come out of a plastic package, which they heat up and nicely plate. The place is small, but they do have seating areas both inside and outside. My only advice: hope you get there early enough to have the option to try the items you'd like, because once they run out, that is it for the day. read more

Sad to report that the best thing about this place was the chopsticks. The food tastes like it was frozen and just dipped in water. The broth inside the soup dumplings is very minimal and they could try and keep the broth "cleaner" by not reheating frozen dumplings. The wagyu beef bao was all dough with no flavor. The chicken pot stickers were the same quality as the frozen ones you can pick up at Costco. The service was ok. The ambiance would have been good if all the tables were cleaned and picked up. We also had to wipe down our own table. I understand the location must play a big part, being so close to Disneyland. But do not come here expecting something amazing. It's mediocre at best and for the price you pay, it should be at the minimum, good. I did take some chopsticks to go though. read more
