Tried again and nahhhh. 7-11 dumplings. My apologies for the cruel review but one who really eats and loves dumplings, you know that this is not quality. Very disappointing.

Food was good but service and service was awesome which brought this review to a 5 star. Very nice guys. Dumplings were seasoned perfectly beef soup could use a little more seasoning. Popcorn chicken was crispy and juicy. It's a small spot and not may locals but parking was really easy.

We ordered Pork Chops on fried rice, shrimp shumai, beef bao buns, & dumpling soup! The rice was nothing fancy, in fact it felt more Mexican than Asian. But it was hearty. The bao buns were mostly bun with a delicious sweet pulled beef in the center Service is mostly self serve after they deliver the food. Since we ordered family style--not eating solo--it was ideal to choose between bowls&plates :) They have cute wall art! Painted by hand! Super nice touch and completely walkable from our time at the convention center. Nice spot!

Be warned - menu items do not match Yelp menu or their menu online (this is as of March 2026). See photos for most recent menu options. No ramen. TLDR; solid Chinese food; prices are on the higher side, but expected for the location and convenience. Definitely a fast causal joint; all high top seating, including a long bar like seating along the wall through to the back entrance of the place. I was disappointed they were not serving any noodle soups (mislead by the yelp photos). Free parking in the back though! Pig Ear & Lotus Root $12.50 - 7/10; the lotus root is super fresh & crunchy; but you need to toss it yourself before diving in; the pig ears needed the light and refreshing sauce. Spicy Kurobata Pork Wontons $12 - 8/10; similar to Din Tai Fung, lighlty spicy, juicy wontons; made for the American palate. I dipped everything in this sauce. Classic Scallion Oil Dry Noodle $13 - 8/10; sesame oil forward with soy sauce, al dente noodles, would order again. Kurobata Pork Wonton Soup $13.50 - 7/10; hearty wontons, hit my soup craving, served in a chicken broth that was seaweed forward. Mushroom Pot Stickers $14 - 4/10; this was undercooked; you can tell by how pasty it looks on the outside; it's missing the classic "lace" from being pan fried. A little wild that it was $14 for 5 pieces; the wrapper was tacky b/c it was slightly raw

LATE NIGHT DUMPLINGS This place saved us. We finished a show at the Anaheim Gardenwalk around 10pm and were craving dumplings. Most dumpling places normally close by then. But not CHUBBY DUMPLING. Free parking in rear by Walgreens and open until 11pm. We ordered the bok choy and minced wagyu, the wagyu fried rice, soup dumplings, pork siu mai, and custard buns. It was made in a timely manner, fresh and we enjoyed the minced wagyu as extras on our food. The soup dumplings were soupy as promised, the siu mai was moist and firm and the rice was flavorful. Chubby dumpling is recommended in the Michelin guide? It's really good for the price range. Dumpling places usually charge higher prices in this area. Please don't increase your prices lol.

Met my cousin here after a trip to Disneyland! There's free parking in the back and outside seating if the weather is nice! The food was delicious and there's counter service and it's probably good for to go orders! You can sit inside but there only about 20 seats, cool place and you'll love the food!

I was pleasantly surprised to have some very good dumplings and noodles at this small order and go (or sit) spot. They are cooking in plain view, steaming in traditional bamboos steamers and delivering them to the table. Considering the location, adjacent to Disneyland, I was impressed with the price for very tasty food.

We were in the Anaheim area after exploring Disneyland and decided to try this place before calling it a night. Too bad for us because most of the items were already gone when we visited. They didn't have the XLB dumplings, which I was so looking forward to trying! Upon entering, the staff already told us to go ahead and order from the self-order screen, but they were there in case we had any questions. We ended up only getting the shumai, scallion noodle, the spicy wontons, and a fountain drink. 4 items, and it costs us about $45. The shu Mai was only 4 small pieces, the scallion noodles had a nice aroma, came with half an egg, and tasted pretty decent. The spicy wonton came pretty late, as we were wrapping up with the other items. The sauce was okay, but the wonton itself was so-so. This place supposedly had a Michelin star, but I think there are better restaurants out there. It's just that if you're in the area, there really aren't any other options if you're craving something like dumplings/noodles. The staff also doesn't make all the food fresh; if you order rice dishes, they come out of a plastic package, which they heat up and nicely plate. The place is small, but they do have seating areas both inside and outside. My only advice: hope you get there early enough to have the option to try the items you'd like, because once they run out, that is it for the day.

    "Out of Stock" Menu
    Liliana C.

Was going to place and order only to see that almost everything was out of stock. Hopefully they can find a way to not be sold out of everything before 3:00pm so I can try it and update my review. Disappointing. Update: 11:00am next day still out of stock of everything! What kind of establishment is this?

    Samantha C.

Sadly we came here at 945pm and I noticed a lot of their food is sold out already! That was a bummer but did not want to leave anymore and find another spot so we stuck around and ordered whatever was left. Some pork shrimp chives dumplings that I can't even taste the chives. The pork and shrimp spicy dumplings, this was ok. We ordered the bao buns, Dan Dan and wagyu stir fry noodles. The noodles were pretty good. The bao buns my kids loved. The place is def small and nothing big And fancy. You order through a computer at the front. I do appreciate the free parking by the Hyatt house/walgreens complex. I personally thing it was just ok. Nothing wow. 6 PCs of dumplings for $12....eh. Maybe I'll be back to try the other stuff in the menu that was sold out.

What We Ordered: -Wagyu Beef Potstickers (6 Pcs) $12.50 -Pork Potstickers (6 Pcs) $11.98 -Sesame Noodle with Minced Pork $11.98 -Hand-rolled Chicken Egg Roll (2 Pcs) $3.98 -Crab with Pork Soup Dumplings (6 Pcs) $11.98 -Chicken Potstickers (6 Pcs) $11.98 -Szechuan Spicy Wonton Pork with Shrimp (6 Pcs) $11.98 Came here back in April 2025 and am finally getting around to writing this review. A short walk from our hotel, we discovered Chubby Dumplings because we were all craving dumplings. My mother wasn't feeling well, so we came here to get her some soup and dumplings. We ordered at the kiosk and waited for our food. We all got hungry when we saw the food and ended up eating there instead of taking it back immediately. We thought we'd order more to bring back, but by the time we finished, the dinner rush hit, and they got really busy. We had to wait a while for the new order. Let's just say my mother wasn't happy with my dad! The dumplings were pretty good, and we would definitely order them again. However, I don't recall being too impressed with the noodles.

We were coming back from a full day adventure in Lake Arrowhead and was hungry and craving something soupy and comforting. Anaheim was on our way back and we figured we'd try out this place that I had bookmarked for a while. We arrived around 8pm-ish and a couple of items were already sold out, so we didn't get to try their XLB. t's a very casual setting, you order on the tablet, seat yourself and pick up when the order is ready. Food isnt bad but it isn't the most tastiest that I've had. If I was at Disneyland and was craving for dumplings and soup and this was one of the only spots that were open, I'd be open to visit again and try their XLB. || P A R K I N G || L O C A T I O N || -Cross Streets are S Harbor and W Katella -Located near Downtown Disney and shares the same parking lot as Walgreens -Free parking is a plus || F O O D || Pork & Shrimp Dumplings - the filling was good but the dumpling skin was way too thick for me personally Shrimp HarGow - Not bad, the skin wasn't as thick as their Pork & Shrimp Dumplings but was still a bit thick to me. I would have gotten their Siumai if it had been available that night. DanDan Noodles - not bad! good amount of chewy noodles and meat! we asked them for chili oil to make it spicier. Shrimp & Pork Spicy Wontons - these were delicious! Wagyu Steak Ramen Soup - basically Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup but instead of beef chunks, I got strips of wagyu steak. I think the fact that they were strips also caught me off guard because I'm so used to seeing chunks in beef noodle soup. The wagyu was a great addition, but it might have been slightly overcooked. The broth is a lot heavier and oilier compared to other beef noodle soups that I've had. At that moment, it was exactly what I needed after a cold day filled with outdoor activities; however, I don't typically go for this type of heavier beef noodle soup, so this one is definitely a once in a while treat for me.

Super cute walkable place from the Anaheim convention center! It is small and you have to order at the counter. It is easy to find and was a Michelin guide bib gourmand several years back! They were so busy they had to halt service for a little while to catch up on orders- but only after we ordered! Overall, I found the soup dumplings just fine, a little dry. The braised pork noodle dish was delicious and hit the spot! I would definitely recommend that!

Chubby Dumplings Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Chubby Dumplings

Are you Chubby Dumplings or Luscious dumplings? The QR code menu says Chubby Dumplings at the top?

You don't know what it says. It's Luscious as the business name indicates.

    Do they take reservations?

No, but the turnover is fairly high so you can get a table (self serve) quickly. There are couple of tables for 4, a few tables for 2, and some countertop space.

    Can we make reservations?

You would not want reservations here. You order at the counter.

Do you guys use peanuts or peanut oil?

    We use canola oil

Is it hard to find parking here? Just wondering cause it's close to Disney

Yes, there is very limited 1 hour parking in the lot and then pay parking available in the underground garage owned by the hotel. The paid parking was $3 every 20 minutes when I was there.

    Are you guys open yet?

    Yes, we are officially opened

It's def more hidden since it's in a business buiding, but there was still a full house when we visited on a Thurs evening for dinner. We waited around 20 mins to be seated. The ordering process was quick, service was friendly, and the food came out quick. Loved both their ramen and apps! PARKING : This location is a bit unique; it's in a courtyard area of a business building! The parking lot out front was pretty empty when we came around 7pm on a Thursday. We followed signs to get into the courtyard with the storefront. FOOD/DRINKS : Tonkotsu Ramen - Pork Chashu, spinach, green onion, seaweed, bean sprout, half egg -- creamy and flavorful broth, love the toppings and the chashu is some of the most tender I've had! Upgraded to Combo to include a small salad + salmon poke rice bowl - Salad dressing was nice and acidic, helped to have some veg between all the decadent bites! Salmon poke was okay, but I like Spicy Tuna more for sure. Quite a bit of rice in the bowl compared to fish. Spicy Cold Dipping Noodle - Bonito dashi broth w/ chili oil, cold noodles with pork chashu, bamboo, kaiware sprouts, bean sprouts, egg, spinach -- Super refreshing and cold! Loved the vinegar-y refreshing dipping broth. Not spicy to me, but had good chili flavor. Crispy Rice w/ Spicy Tuna - spicy tuna, avocado, crispy rice, eel sauce -- rice was soft yet crispy, not too oily. generous amount of spicy tuna. Matcha Latte w/ Azuki Boba - i like to get this when i dine here -- it's not a strong fancy coffeeshop "double matcha" by any means, but it's not trying to be one. It's a nice creamy matcha drink with red bean flavor thrughout and boba at the bottom. I like it as a sweet treat after all the savory foods!

Inside is a small but cozy, clean ambiance. Bear in mind that this place is busy so there will most likely be a wait if you go during peak eating times. I always get the same things here - the tonkotsu ramen and chicken karaage with the garlic sauce and house spicy sauce on the side. Servers are friendly and service is always good, as it should be since they apply an automatic 18% tip on the bill. One complaint I have is the portion size on the ramen - it's almost $20 for a bowl but doesn't have enough noodles as I would like. I always feel content but not full so if they were to add more noodles, it would have been a 5 star for me.

This place is located directly next to Bodhi coffee shop on Yorba Linda Blvd just east of Lakeview…read more Arrived here just after 12pm on a Monday. They have the Jiro ramen only on Mondays and I had no idea what that was. We ordered one regular $17 (large is $20 and gigantic) and also ordered a miso ramen. The jiro ramen noodles are totally different. They are a darker brownish colored wheat noodle and thicker than regular ones. It has a nice chewy texture. We opted for no garlic base since some reviewers said it was really strong. They give you a choice to choose fat back in the soup to make it extra rich and also a choice for more or less vegetables. The charsiu pork in this soup is also different than the miso soup. Omg it's so tender, juicy and flavorful. The fat on it is so good and the pieces are thick. Whereas the pork on the miso ramen is thinner, your usual charsiu pork slices, which is more lean but not juicy like the jiro ramen pork. I loved the texture of the thin noodles in the miso ramen as well. The soup base had a garlic taste to it and was accompanied by the bean sprouts and bamboo type vegetables. We also tried the smaller order of the chicken karaage, which was 3 pieces of larger sized pieces. Not small, like your typical karaage. There was lack of flavor so the mayo based dipping sauce helped. Service was great and the lone waitress did a great job in serving, seating, and billing the customers all by herself. Great place!
