They even gave extra spice on the side, which was awesome because I could adjust the heat exactly how I wanted. The noodles had a good texture, and everything just came together really well. I could overlook the bare minimum service and overly salty but still somehow bland ramen. But we were charged more for each item than the menu price dining in. Some by a dollar or more for each item. There was also a service charge added to the receipt. After the charge posted to my card, they added additional money to the tip which finally made me decide to leave a negative review which I hate doing. Service was abysmal. The prices on the menu are not the prices charged. When I asked to pay the advertised prices, my server, who I later learned was the manager, became agitated and combative. I asked for his name and he became very aggressive and began cussing me out. I don't post negative reviews ever, but this experience was so above and beyond horrible, I had to warn others. Although I've been there several times for lunch, I've never had to wait for a table, even though there are only a handful of tables in the restaurant. I've enjoyed both the tonkatsu miso ramen and the tonkatsu black ramen -- both had flavorful, rich broth, tender pork, and fresh vegetables. Came here on a whim to eat ramen late night and we were pleas surprised w the quality and flavor! My party of four opted to get the ramen combo, which came with an appetizer for $5 extra. We got one of each appetizer and they were all delicious! The favorite was the Squid Karagge and everything was pretty crispy. The tonkatsu miso ramen had pretty solid and bold flavor and we appreciated that it came with half an egg, although a full egg would be nice as well. I loved the corn topping and felt the bowl came together nicely. Service was quick for it just being one guy working. Major props to getting our food out at a good time but still being delicious. This place is really good. Like really really good. I haven't no clue why the place was so busy on a Thursday evening, I feel like it should be packed. My friend added spinach on the side and also got the shrimp tempura. The tempura was funny looking to me cuz it was all squared off on the edges so I'm not sure how/why they do that. But I wish they had tempura dipping sauce w it instead of what looked like maybe a spicy mayo. I got the miso ramen, chicken ramen, and sushi spicy tuna the chicken ramen only had 2 pieces of chicken and the only redeemable thing in both ramen is the broth, the meat in the miso one was inconsistent one piece would be hard and tough another would be almost per fat. The sushi wasn't bad till the last three pieces were the tuna tasted old not fresh. The ramen was good with a nice sized portion of noodles and the broth wasn't super heavy but the flavor still packed a punch. My favorite part was the char siu on top because the edges were a little bit crispy and it went perfectly with the flavor of the broth and noodles. The only major thing that I wish was that I got both halves of the soft boiled egg because it was cooked perfectly and had a nice soft centered. The shop is on the smaller size with around 10 booths give or take. Would it be so costly to just add like an onion garnish or cilantro? Idk it just felt lacking and for that price, I wouldn't come back.
