10/10 Tonkotsu Ramen - This is my all time favorite spot for ramen. The broth is incredible and their chashu is hands down the best around. Cost - Tonkotsu Ramen $18.40, add corn $2.30.

Refreshing Ramen Spot. Stopped by this spot on a Saturday not sure what to expect, but everything was delightful. Inside was pleasant with lantern decorations and photos of ramen in production, and service was quick. Had a yuzunade and crab cucumber salad to start. It was a lot more cucumber than crab, but still had a really nice subtle flavor. The karaage came next and had a really nice light flavor and texture which didn't overpower the meal. The main course was the Summer Delight which was three small bowls. Spicy tuna, salmon poke, and spicy cold dipping noodle. Poke and Noodle tied for favorite of the meal. Overall, really glad I made the trip out. Even though it does feel like a bit of a search, given its location in an office building. But if you can find it, enjoy this hidden treasure.

Talk about a hole in the wall - would have no idea this business park would have a restaurant in it, let alone a HiroNori. This spot is small and cozy. Not too many tables, but not a long wait either on a weekday night. Food quality is up to par with other locations! Definitely flavorful yet well-balanced and light!

Came here for lunch with my daughter and we ordered tonkotsu ramen and it's was very good and yuzu lemonade is as awesome and refreshing drink. The ramen noodle is phenomenal because it's not salty like some place and very delicious. Service here is good but they should let customer know tips are already included in your check and also they don't accept cash, they only accept credit cards. The gratuity should depends on service not just add on a surcharge because it depends on the server as well. Ambience here is very small and they get pretty busy here during dinner time. This place is in a business building and you would park the car and you would able to see a sign hiro nori then u enter to the double door and then another double door and it's on the left hand side. Overall this place the ramen is very good.

This is the second HiroNori location that I've tried, it's tucked away in a building and a pretty small location. We had a party of 7 and had to wait about 30-40 mins on a Friday evening. It was worth it though for the Tonkatsu ramen! The broth is super yummy and a great portion.

Wow, what a hidden gem! This cute date night ramen spot wowed us as soon as we walk in, it was pleasant and comfy. The tonkatsu chicken was seared, and the noodles were so delicious with a little garlic. I do wish the seaweed was crispy though, the large wet chunks I didnt care for. Jason was quick and professional, great job! They also include tip on the bill already. We will definitely come back.

This place has great ramen. Just went here again and I would come back. It's not the best ramen I've ever had, but it's definitely good. They give you watermelon flavored water or regular water. Because I'm over 40, I did wish the chairs had back support. But they look cool. Small and calming space with good flavors. I also enjoyed the spicy tuna on crispy rice. The rice was soft inside but crispy on the outside. Service could have been a bit more proactive. We had to wait for our waters and the check for a bit too long. But very friendly so it's ok. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area and craving some ramen!

What a hidden gem, No pun intended!! Wow, hands down the best ramen I've ever had here in the states It felt like a ramen shop back in Japan, with cozy friendly vibes. authentic level 100, N paired with fast N easy services. The ramen noodle is Q'ie and the ramen broth is rich and thick The crispy chicken is tender on the inside and nice N crunchy on the outside. Is like eating a piece of grape, the meat juice bursts out and pops in ur mouth with delicious savory tase Definitely a hidden Gem, located in on thr back side of the office building and then u exit thru the flower shop 10 outta 10 a must and mandatory go for ur local authentic Japanese craft ramen

the tonkotsu is our favorite! taste very hearty and warm and not too overwhelming. i loveeeee the crispy rice w tuna, it's a little pricey but really worth it! the restaurant is very intimate and cozy, has a luxurious feeling to it as well. the servers were incredible, they are very welcoming and keeps checking on us pretty often.

Great ramen!. Very authentic, charm. In a weird offices building but I really enjoyed the experience. Lots of locals

This place was very accommodating. They allowed us to dine in w/ our party of 5 at 9:40pm when they were closing at 10pm. They even allowed us to stay until about 10:20-10:30pm w/o making us feel rushed. We felt a little guilty for that and left to not keep them waiting. The food was amazing and the ambiance was great. A little difficult to find this place as it's inside a business type looking building. The ramen was decorous and filling. Had to take it to go. Vegan Ramen: 4.5/5

Really enjoyed this spot! We went on a recommendation from a friend who had ordered delivery from them and really liked their food. I got the tonkotsu and I think the bf got the shoyu. The broths were really good, and even better after adding a little garlic and chilli paste (free, just ask for it). While we both enjoyed their broths the bf really liked the fatter ramen noodles while I'm more into the thinner variety. Still very good. We also ordered the cucumber crab salad which had suuch good flavor but left us craving more crab; the eel tempura buns were reeeallyy yummy; and to drink we tried the cucumber mint yuzunade which was very refreshing and tart. The service was top notch, got seated after maybe a five minute wait, and our server was super attentive and courteous. Just know when you pull into the lot you're going to see a giant office building -the restaurant is INSIDE, you have to pull into the left of the building once entering the lot then you'll see a sign or two for the restaurant. Once you find the door you kinda have to wait until someone leaves to be able to get in, then you just follow everyone else through the halls who're trying to eat. The place is very reminiscent of ramen spots in Japan, SUPER small and very limited seating. Call ahead if you're trying to gauge how busy they are before going. Definitely recommend trying if you're in the area!

My office is nearby so we used to come here very regularly. I would not recommend this place for groups larger than 4. It's a small space. During our last encounter, we felt like the hostess/server was being unnecessarily rude. She would not let me reserve a table via phone when I said their waitlist online was broken. She sorta just gave the equivalent of a shrug on the phone and wasn't helpful. They will not seat you unless your whole party is here which is typical practice.

I ordered the Butaton ramen which had everything I like! Minus the bean sprouts. Pretty good bowl of ramen. The noodles were PERFECTLY al dente. The broth was good, but maybe a tiny bit too salty. You could definitely feel/taste the collagen in the broth which was nice. The pork belly was a bit tough and dry though. Portion wise it's pretty small. At first I was considering doing the lunch special where you can add a beef or chashu bowl for an additional $6, but I thought, "Nah, that's going to be too much food." I guess in the end it worked out. I was the perfect level of full/satisfied. However, if you're starving I would definitely recommend doing the lunch special. It's a nice space to dine at for sure! I enjoyed watching the cars/people flow through the Orange Circle while I was eating. Service was fast/friendly. No complaints there. A little steep on the price versus portion though. This meal was almost $24 after tip for a bowl for ramen. Overall, not bad! I've had much better elsewhere, but out of all the local spots I've tried around me so far, this one is definitely one of the better ones so far.

This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

Menus and a carafe of iced water was brought out immediately. We asked to order right away as my boys and their friends were hungry and we were in between hockey games for a tournament. There's good lunch deal to add house rolls for $4.95 more or a specialty roll for $7.95 to any ramen We ordered the following; 1. Tonkotsu ramen w/ house salmon roll: I tasted the broth for this. Its a light creamy and flavorful broth. Not salty. 2. Spicy Tonkotsu x 2 w/ house salmon rolls: I tasted the broth for this and it's spicier than the usual spicy tonkatsu I eat in San Jose. Perfect for my spicy preference. One of the 13yo drank the entire bowl of broth and the other 2 almost finished their broth. 3. Habanero Miso w/ Angry Tail: This was hubby's. The broth is very good but it's too spicy for me to enjoy it. 4. Black Ramen: This bowl was for me. I really like this broth flavor alot but wish it was spicy like the spicy tonkatusu. Overall, all the broths were very rich and well flavored, not salty. The noodles were cooked just right, firm.with a nice crunch when you bite into it. The amount of bean sprouts and wood ear mushrooms was just right. The half soft boil egg was perfect but the 3 slices of char xiu pork could taste better. It was bland and was not soft enough as it did not easily break when you bite into it. As for the sushi rolls, It was pretty decent for the price you are paying to add to your ramen order. The service was good as there was only 2 staff running the floor. They were quick to assist us with more water and napkins. We will definitely return in the future if we are in town and craving ramen/sushi combo.

What we ordered: 1) Black deluxe chicken paitan with pork - the broth was so tasty, it was absolutely delicious. The pork slices were generous, however, it was DRY. 2) Pork chashu - for my kid. They loved the broth as well and also felt that the pork slices were dry. I wanted to give 4 out of 5 stars, but I am going to hand them a 3. I loved the tasty broth, but the pork was too dry. How could you mess that up as a ramen restaurant? The portions looked a little smaller than what I am used to paying for much less money. That photo of my black deluxe chicken paitan with pork is very deceiving. It looks like a lot, but it definitely wasn't. I usually can't finish my bowl of ramen in one sitting and take the other half home. I barely had any broth in there, and being that the broth was very good, I was disappointed to run out of it before I was even done with the noodles and meat. Would I return? Sure. I liked the food. It's not a place I would go out of my way to eat at, but if I was around the neighborhood and wanted ramen, I would dine there again.

This is a great ramen spot. Wasn't too busy when we got there around 1:30 pm…read more We came for lunch (no lunch specials just an all day menu) and ordered the tonkotsu spicy black ramen, some spicy tuna rolls, and an order of takoyaki. All very fresh! Ramen was rich and flavorful. Not too salty not bland, but just right. The pork chasu was tender and fresh. I liked the plentiful topping and the seasoned egg a lot. Takoyaki had a crunch and was soft in the center, just right. Spicy tuna wasn't least bit fishy and was also very fresh. You do need to ask for wasabi and ginger as it did not come with it. The service from our waiter was kind and consistent. We had a great expectant we will definitely be back to enjoy this place again!

The ramen looked decent, vegetables, toppings were okay. But the Chashu was really tough and too fatty. The Karage (fried chicken) looked and tasted like what you would get with fish and chips. I've never had Karage like this before. The table was sticky. The child booster was also sticky. Just felt like things haven't been cleaned in a while. The only redeeming quality were the nice and friendly employees. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be coming back. There's a lot of other ramen restaurants in OC that are way better for the price.
