    Tteokbokki bar

I custom ordered two pots of tteokbokki one with rose and one with the dooki's best sauces. The dooki's best was my favorite. Flavor profile wise was very savory and spicy. The spice level is a 4/5 but as someone who is sensitive to spice it was definitely spicy but I was able to tolerate. Despite it being harder to eat the flavor was too yummy to stop. I also got the rose which I thought was okay. My favorites rice cakes to add were the corn cheese balls and the special shape. They were soft and chewy. I also love to add the Chinese glass noodles because they soak up for flavors of the soup. The snowing cheese wings were very cheesy with a bit of sweetness. They were delicious but a bit difficult to eat because the cheese power gets everywhere and makes a bit of a mess. The staff were patient with us while we were trying to decide what we wanted to add to our orders.

When I first saw a build-your-own tteokbokki place, I immediately knew I had to try it. I already love eating tteokbokki, so the idea of being able to customize my own bowl and choose exactly what goes into it sounded amazing. One thing that stood out right away was how spacious the restaurant is. It doesn't feel crowded, which makes the whole experience a lot more comfortable when you're picking out your ingredients and waiting for your food. The workers were also really friendly and helpful, which made the process feel easy even if it's your first time building your own bowl. What surprised me the most was the variety of rice cakes they had. I was used to the classic cylindrical tteokbokki rice cakes, but they had different shapes and types, which made the whole experience more interesting. Each one had a slightly different texture, but they were all chewy and delicious, especially once they were cooked in the sauce. Another fun part is choosing your toppings. You can add a lot of different ingredients to your bowl, and it's easy to get excited and want to try everything. Of course, the amount you add depends on the scale they use to weigh your bowl, but it's still really fun being able to mix and match different things to create your perfect combination. The bowl we made ended up being $24.99, which honestly felt worth it considering how much food we got. My friend and I shared it between the two of us, and it was still a lot of food, so it's definitely something you can split if you're going with someone else. The whole experience feels interactive and customizable, which makes it different from a typical tteokbokki spot. Between the variety of ingredients, the spacious environment, and the friendly staff, it's definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm craving tteokbokki.

Finally found a Dookki with SO many tteokbokki varieties! The best part? You can fully customize your meal - pick your own add-ins AND choose your sauce . From all different types of rice cakes, fish cakes, veggies, meats, sausages, ramen to multiple Korean sauce options - you can create your own signature tteokbokki pot . As a rice cake lover, I was literally spinning with joy This is NOT just your ordinary spicy sauce tteokbokki - the variety is insane! I HIGHLY recommend the Rose Cheese Tteokbokki!! The combination of savory spicy and creamy milk flavors is absolutely criminal It comes with those tube-shaped "article" rice cakes - first time trying them! Super QQ (chewy) and they absorb the sauce even better than regular rice cakes . So soft and flavorful gotta love their crunchy chicken wings. It's good place to chill with friends.

DIY Tteokbokki??? Sounds super fun and creative, right?! Located in Fullerton, Dookki lets you build your own tteokbokki--reminds me of malatang and hong kong style cart noodles. You can choose your base (different kinds of rice cakes), then add veggies, protein, and sauces however you like. We topped ours with our self-picked tteokbokki, and also ordered fried chicken wings and mixed tempura. Highly recommend the Snowing Cheese!!! Super cheesy!! A night of creativity and deliciousness. Dookki has really good food, and that was definitely the highlight of our visit. Everything tasted great, and you can tell the ingredients are solid. The place was also clean and well maintained, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the service was a bit of a letdown. It felt like my wife and I were being overlooked, as other tables seemed to be served before us even though we had been waiting. Service was noticeably slow, and that took away from what could have been a much better experience. It's kind of a bummer because the food itself was great. With more attentive and consistent service, this could easily be a higher-rated spot.

We loved this place in every way. We visited when the restaurant had only been open for a couple of months. Ordering is done at the counter, where you can choose from a wide variety of rice cakes, vegetable, proteins, noodles, and sauces. This was our first time experiencing tteokbokki like this, and it was so much fun. The tteokbokki is served in a large stainless-steel bowl with chafing fuel underneath to keep it hot throughout the meal. The fish cake soup tasted quite decent, and for the price, it's an absolute steal. The gentleman who assisted 'build my own Tteobboki' was extremely kind and patient in explaining the different ingredients' options. Portions are very generous--more than enough for two people. We couldn't finish it and had to take the rest to go. Decor-wise, the restaurant feels fresh and modern. With its clear glass exterior, people outside can easily see how lively it is inside. The wallpaper also suggests the restaurant has branches in another country, which I personally found quite interesting.

A great way to eat and DIY tteokbokki! I loved all the options of rice cakes, protein, veggies, noodles, and sauce to choose from. They also give a huge serving- the only down side is you can't order small portions. It's like you have to eat with at least one other person. The food was good and the servers were nice.

Love this brand new tteokbokki restaurant that just opened. The combo is a good deal to order. We have the rose pot and added a lot of food. The fried chicken was amazing too! Honey brown is tasty. The mix fried snacks and the cheese balls were great. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. We enjoyed dinning in.

Every kind of rice cake, bok Choy, and glass noodles. The crunch stuff they add on top-

If you like Tteokbokki, I think this is a must try spot. I will admit I wouldn't consider myself an expert with this dish, but I thought it was delicious and the concept is very cool. You are seated, and then you walk up to a Chipotle style counter where you build your Tteokbokki bowl! There are multiple different types of rice cakes to choose from! Veggies, proteins, and noodles are added- you pick your sauce and they could it and bring to your table. Because you can load up your bowl with whatever you want, it's perfect for going with a group- at the very least, a pair that can eat! The bowls cost $30- so it seems a bit spendy for a solo eater. They also have Korean fried chicken and some assorted appetizers. I have been here twice and we will def be going back.

I was so excited to try this place after hearing it was all you can build - and it reached my expectations! My partner and I shared one which was enough for us. We actually had a lot more food leftover too! The sauce that we got was Dookki Original. I thought it was the perfect sauce as someone who is not too good at spice but want a small kick to it. We also got an order of the mixed fried snacks which was a good addition to our bowl. Service was great. We came on a Saturday night and we got seated right away. This is now one of my favorite places to eat in Fullerton and I can't wait to come here again when i'm craving some tteokbeokki!

Probably one of the most value places that I have ate at. I don't eat tteokbokki often, but really enjoyed this place. You can request which ingredients you want, sort of like ingredient stations like at Chipotle. It does take a while to cook, but the food does taste really good and you get a lot of it

Came here with my sis before we had a little cookie decorating event. Ordering was pretty smooth and they have a really good selection of toppings and rice cakes. I did ask for ONE of a couple of things and they gave me extra which isn't always a bad thing since I didn't reach my limit on anything. I really enjoyed the cheesy rice cakes but they do get overheated really quickly. I didn't mind the subtle ness of the spice with the rose sauce, but it honestly didn't really taste like much. It felt like it was either missing spice or some sort of flavor.. it just tasted like muted teokkbokki sauce.

    Kanta K.

DIY tteokbokki with so many options! We got the original dooki and the rose with all types of tteok (rice cake) and toppings. The original was sweet and spicy but its not too bad if you're not good with spice. The rose was good but lacked a little flavor and tasted more of cream than the actual spice but still a good option for non-spicy eaters. The different rice cake flavors are fun to try as well such as the sweet potato, corn, and cheese as they all have different textures and shapes. We also got garlic soy chicken which took a really long time for some reason but the server gave us some free drinks. The chicken was pretty average but good when dipping it in the tteokbeokki sauce. There's a good amount of seating but i wouldn't really recommend it for big groups.

The seafood pancake was one of the better ones I've had in the area. Crispy on the outside, packed with seafood, and not overly greasy.
