There are quite a few places selling kimbap and banchan in the area, but I keep going back to Baro Gimbap for a few items. My favorite is a newer menu item here, yuksu bulgogi. I also really enjoy the mini egg kimbap, spicy tuna kimbap, perilla oil noodles, and sashimi rice bowl. Note that before 9 am they only have kimbap and whatever banchan they have in the fridge area; you have to come after 9 am to order noodles. Expect a 10-15 min wait for most hot food orders. The interior is small but clean. I usually just get my food to go, but there are a few tables inside for those who would like to dine in.

Very chic look and great place for some Gimbap. The place in a small plaza so parking can be a hit or miss. Clean and spacious and well organized shop. Self service on to go upon entrance to for available. There is a menu or highly call in for order so you will be guaranteed to have what you want. When we went, it almost noon so not much left but still good for quick snacks for the road. They do have dine in area and you can ordered and paid ahead of time. The place is pleasantly quite nice. Service is nice and quick. The foods are quite tasty and very goods, love it. The bottle of juice(s) are very refreshing and just deliahtful. Prices can be on the high end side but so worth it.

Really big portions and great flavor. The service is great and the selection pretty decent. We did come a bit later, and they were limited in their selection of kimbap, but we found the egg kimbap that we got to be flavorful and well wrapped. The store itself is located in a small strip mall off Orangethorpe but is super cute inside and out. We'll be back for sure!

I wouldn't have known this place if it were not for a friend of mine. They recommended the fish cake soup and their kimbap. I've had my share of both items and still have yet to find a place to beat the local restaurant by my area. First off this place is clean and freezing inside! You walk in and all the variety of kimbaps are along the left wall with various shelved items (perilla leave oil, sesame oil, dried anchovies, etc..) To your right are the tables and an area where you put your trays back. Why am I tipping again if I put my trays back? Nope, were not in Covid days anymore, sorry but no. I've worked in the Food & Beverage business and I get it, but if I didn't serve you or clean up after you and come around to ask I d you ned anything I don't think I will get a tip. That's just my opinion. Now if you're really friendly and you still didn't serve me or wait on me then maybe. But not this time homey. Back to the food...The fishcake as good, the broth I could careless about. But it's very important for the broth to be tasty you may say. Why yes it is! That's true, but sometime the fishcake is enough. In this case it was enough for me to say okay, I like it. Would I come here for fishcake? Answer is no. The soup is light and you can still taste the raddish but it's not to the point where you can get juggy just with the soup. Sorry, but the fishcake inside H-mart has more flavor. IYKYK!! Kimbap, I ordered the egg one. Boy was that the most plainest kimbap I've ever tasted. I knew I should have tried the bulgolgi one. I also tried the combo one and it was the same. There was no flavor. I had to dip it in the soy sauce. The kimbaps needed sesame flavor in them!! To each their own I guess. Come give it a try and lemme know what you think. I'm curious if it's just a one off day here.

Since there's a great variety of premade food, service was very fast and friendly. We also ordered hot dishes which were delicious - everything was fresh. Clean shop with limited seating, would not recommend for large parties (5+). Parking is limited due to the plaza. Portions are a bit small for the price point but would definitely visit again!

Yelp hooked me up! I was hungry for breakfast but (for once) I didn't feel like a traditional one. So Yelp sent me here. The parking lot is sketchy like dangerous people around. And in between a laundromat and a Mexican bakery is Baro. They have a beautiful door and you can see inside that it's warm and inviting, and clean. I was going to eat while driving but the place is very inviting. The huge menu is on the wall. My mouth was already primed for kimbap so that's what I ordered. One gabo and one egg. They were still warm. Delicious? Yes and stuffed with filling. Beautiful perfect rolls. No soy sauce necessary and not dry like rolls made hours ago. I ate half of each tray and took the rest home. What a find!

Delicious kimbap and kalguksu (knife cut noodles)! They have premade kimbap if you want to take your order to go and there's dine-in options as well. My favorite is their tuna kimbap and egg. My husband tried their kalguksu (knife cut noodles) and the broth and noodles were very good. The kimbap prices are a bit on the higher end, but I can tell that they use delicious and quality ingredients. Credit cards are accepted. Parking is a bit limited because it's in a small lot

First time here, service was fast and friendly! Food was great, my favorite was the anchovy gimbap, and there are so many other options to try. They also have set party boxes and packed banchan to go as well. Small storefront with a about 8 tables for seating, and parking can be a little tight. Hope to come back again soon!

Some savory seasoned kochujang to eat w my noodles and kimbap. Tastes amazing. Stir fried in sesame oil w green onions. Delish.

Ordered alot today. Food doesn't taste as good as when the night crew is here. Spent close to $60. I think they raised their combo price. Was $15 now $18.50. Got two fishcake and udon. Alao got two mini anchovyn kimbaps. It tasted old. Not good. But i drove away so too far to return. I am only going to try eating there after 5pm to see if the taste returns to being delicious.

The kimbap here is 5/5! The price for the quality is also very reasonable. I've tried the tuna, the bulgogi, the gobo, the odaeng, and the mini little kimbaps. They are all super good and nothing can beat a $6 gobo kimbap. My toddler absolutely loves loves loves the mini little kimbaps. I've also gotten their spicy marinated crab twice now and think it's priced really well for a good hefty portion. Although the food is good, I had to take off a star for their service. Similar to other reviews, I've been here several times now and unfortunately each time the same employee there has been very, very unpleasant. It was as if me being there and ordering was a bother/burden for her. However, the food and pricing is good enough to look past that and I will likely continue to come again in the future. The party boxes of assorted kimbaps look so beautiful. I have this on the shortlist of what to get for when we have a small gathering or event at home in the future.

This small little Korean restaurant (I actually want to call it more a Cafe since it has cafe vibe with small but clean tables with good music). Their selection of Kimbaps huge from basic to fusion like spicy anchovy or Korean BBQ. Prices are reasonable and offer some other Korean boonsik menu like udon, tempura and stuff. They even have the Kimball platter that are humongous that is good for company potluck lunch or gift, just need to order in advance. Plus they got some house made Banchan and products from Korea as well. Try this place and you will find at least one thing you would like to buy or eat!!

We were in the mood for some kimbap, and were in the Fullerton area, so we came here and tried it. My wife ordered the pork cutlet, 8/10. I got the combo with udon and fish cake kimbap, 9/10, which was very good. The combo had everything fresh from the kimbap to the udon. We will be back, and we 100% recommend it if you're in the Orange County area.

placed my order two days in advance, and I'm so glad I chose Baro Gimbap. The party tray costs $77, but the portion is very generous with a wide variety of kimbap. Best of all, it tastes just as delicious as it looks!

    Really good taste!

I ordered - Kalguksu (with chicken broth) $17.99 : Portion size is very generous, the soup is so hearty and filling, especially on a cold day. The noodles are cooked perfectly and is topped with a generous amount of beef. My #1 recommendation from MDK. - Pork dumplings $17.99 : My favorite dumplings in all of OC. They are so incredibly juicy and flavorful and the thin wrapper helps bring out the flavors even more. The spicy kimchi here is also so yummy, the perfect balance of spicy and garlicky. I highly recommend you try it, even if you're not the biggest fan of kimchi. Overall, MDK has been here for years, and will always have a special place in my heart for the yummiest, heartiest foods.

The seafood pancake was one of the better ones I've had in the area. Crispy on the outside, packed with seafood, and not overly greasy. You still get that soft, savory inside with the green onion flavor coming through, and it pairs perfectly with the dipping sauce. The tofu soup came out boiling hot like it should, with a deep, comforting broth that had real flavor instead of just spice. The tofu was silky, the portion was generous, and it's the kind of dish that makes you slow down for a second because it's so satisfying. The galbi was the standout for me. Super tender, well marinated, and grilled with that slight char that gives it the smoky sweetness. It didn't need anything extra, but wrapping it with the banchan and rice made it even better. Speaking of banchan, they were fresh and kept coming without us having to ask. Service was quick and the food came out fast even though the place was busy. The whole restaurant has a fun, energetic vibe and feels like a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or a late night meal. Everything we ordered was solid and I'd come back specifically for the galbi and tofu soup again. Fullerton has a lot of options but this one is definitely worth putting into the regular rotation.

We also shared the Korean fried chicken, which was delicious. It had a light and crisp texture with a lot of meat. The pickled radish accompanying the Korean fried chicken tasted good too. We had banchan, but there wasn't a need for refills. This is a solid Korean restaurant among many in the area, and I look forward to visiting again.
