District 9 seems to be a newer Vietnamese restaurant. Interior is nice and clean. We ordered the pho, but the ribeye was way too overcooked. The same situation happened for the vermicelli chicken. The chicken was way too overcooked. I would definitely try the golden baos again. Overall, not too bad, but this is definitely a restaurant that needs some work on cooking the meat.

New pho place near my house. Very clean and modern. There's a lunch special , bowl and a fried egg roll for spring roll for $15. I ordered the lunch special for pho and a spring rill. We also had a combo rice place with the bbq pork and an egg roll for $15. And another pho bowl. We have always passed by this restaurant going to other places in the plaza but never tried it until today ! Lunch special is 15.99$(bowl of pho or vermicelli + appetizer). We got spring rolls as an appetizer and braised beef pho. Spring rolls were fresh and warm as well for the peanut sauce on top! That first bite was so satisfying. Then came the pho. That broth was sooooo goooood. For a deal like this ? You bet we coming back. We were greeted and welcomed in as soon as we opened the door. As for the inside of the restaurant it is a little small so I can only picture this place getting packed real quick ! Luckily for us we came in at a good time and were sat down right away. With the spring rolls and pho I would have to put this on my top 5 places.

Wow. What a nice surprise stumbled on this little hidden gem for delicious Vietnamese pho. The broth is rich and smooth and the meat is delicious and tender. Spring roll is large and filling with the fresh cucumber. Will come back! read more

Our household has had District 9 Kitchen twice in the last week! When picking up takeout, the restaurant has been busy but we picked up our order quickly and the staff was friendly. It isn't that big inside so it's a cozy spot to eat a laidback meal in, which we hope to do shortly. The food is really delicious! I'm vegetarian and they had ample offerings. I liked the tempura tofu and the vegan broth in the pho was very flavorful and aromatic. Next time I want to try the garlic noodles, I think those would be especially yummy with tofu! I think since they just opened they've been extra generous so we got a complimentary Thai tea which was good and the most adorable jar of chili oil (which I put into my pho to make it even yummier!). I will definitely be coming back and bringing friends! read more

It was 11am on Tuesday, I ordered banh mi and pho special to go. It was a 20min wait, I was the only one there. They were kind and accommodating. However, the food was meh, considering how much it cost. Bread was tough, maybe a day old. The lemongrass pork was salty and I couldn't taste any lemongrass. There's no pate, instead lots of mayo. Too much, imo. The pho was bland, it could use more fish sauce or something to give it depth in flavor. I grew up on salty pho, so this wasn't my favorite. read more

Came here late at night craving pho and this place did not disappoint. Super glad they stay open late because the food was actually really good, not just "late night good" The broth was flavorful, the meat was fresh, super tender melted away when I tasted it, and the portions were generous. Service was quick and the restaurant was clean too. Definitely one of my go-to spots now when I want a warm bowl of pho at night. There side dishes are really good too, I love the golden bao, fish tempura is bomb too. Definitely coming back! read more

The restaurant is new, clean and has a nice atmosphere. Service was friendly. I ordered rib eye pho. I would rate the soup a high 3 stars. The broth and noodles were very good. However the meat was chewy and not that plentiful. I would rate the meat as low average. The price was about average. The restaurant is close to home so I will return to try their vegetable pho. For the beef pho, I would drive the extra 4 miles to my favorites in Little Saigon. If the vegetable pho is good, I would return often for that. I'll find out on my next visit and update this review. read more

Came in for the soft opening, with free spring roll (kids downed it before I could take a photo) The pho was very flavorful, quality ingredients - every drop of the soup and contents polished off clean. The shaken beef garlic noodle was fresh off the wok. The fin on fire is nice for a fish alternative as well. Just more options and appetizers overall. After having tried PhoQT after Knott's and here today also after Knott's, I would say this is worth the 4 minute drive. It is also next to a Davien Coffee&Matcha so you have the same concept next door. read more

Our regular Pho restaurant is closed, so decided to try District 9 kitchen. Laidback ambience, clean new dining area. Took a while after we were seated to get our order in. Once we ordered, the food came out fairly quickly. Spring rolls with pork and shrimp; the pork was still warm indicating that they were freshly made. Pho Uncle Roger would approve of. Large portions and reasonably priced. I'll be back. read more

The saltdo fries are always amazing as well. The fries are not soggy at all and are so flavorful. This place does get pretty busy during dinner so parking can be a bit difficult due to the other popular restaurants in the same plaza.

The other thing is that it does get super busy during peak time, so I would definitely try to check in when you're closer to the restaurant and maybe run an errand or two if it the wait is long. Also, want to shout out all the workers there, who have been so nice and helpful each time I go there. Sup noodle bar has become my favorite go-to pho place.

The last time I visited on a Monday, the lot was completely full, and I ended up parking on the street. The restaurant is also primarily cash only, so come prepared. They open early, making it a perfect breakfast spot for an early bowl of pho. The pho broth is exactly what I want when I'm craving comfort food--clean, flavorful, and incredibly soothing. However, the star of the meal for me was the chả giò. Wow. Although they arrived after our pho, they came out at the perfect temperature. I was hesitant to take a bite right away because freshly fried food usually burns my mouth, but these were just right. Crispy, airy, savory, and absolutely delicious. Paired with their fish sauce, it was perfection. I enjoyed the egg rolls so much that next time I'm definitely ordering the egg roll vermicelli bowl. Service was friendly and prompt despite how busy it was, and it's clear the staff works hard to keep things moving. One thing I love is seeing all of the awards and accolades displayed on the walls. Phở 79 received the prestigious James Beard America's Classics Award, and it's easy to understand why after one meal here. This restaurant is truly an Orange County icon. The restaurant will soon be moving to a new location, as signs throughout the restaurant announce the upcoming move. While I'll miss the original spot, I'm excited for the new space--hopefully with more parking! Some places are worth the wait, and Phở 79 is absolutely one of them.

The grilled escargots are a must-have when visiting this place! These are perfectly grilled with rich garlic butter for sweetness, and with a slight kick of spiciness from the peppercorn. Don't forget to also dip the escargot meat with black pepper and a few squeeze of fresh lime juice! If you like melted cheese, then the grilled scallops with cheese would be the perfect match. Each scallop is covered melted cheese and comes sizzling on a hot plate when ordered! Last but certainly not least, my favorite dish of this restaurant is the Chilean Sea Bass hot pot. The order comes with your own tabletop gas stove, along with a hot pot filled with a tom yum like sour soup base. For ingredients, it also includes a plate with slices of pineapple, quarter cut fresh tomato slices, fresh bean sprouts, rice noodles, and a full plate of large pieces of Chilean Sea Bass. Just put all the ingredients in the hot pot and let it cook for 5-10mins on high, I promise you it is one of the best soups you will ever have! Service is good as always. This place always seems to be busy, so you may have to be on the waitlist during certain business hours (eg holidays, prime dinner time, etc). Parking wise, the restaurant is located in a busy plaza, and so you may have to drive around a few times before finding an open spot. However as I said earlier, it's worth the wait. There are still so many other dishes I want to try next time, so I'll definitely be coming back!

The corn was supposed to be on a cast iron sizzling plate that looked like the picture but it came out in a metal pot and it wasn't cooked very well. That was the most disappointing, definitely not worth it at all as an appetizer. Overall I can see why the reviews here are under four stars. It's nothing special for the price. It's a little expensive but maybe you gotta try the other dishes they have here but I think OC & Lau is probably way better since you're in the same shopping center here.

One thing that really made me appreciate this place was that they were willing to put the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches playing, which created a fun and exciting atmosphere for families and soccer fans alike. It made Father's Day even more enjoyable. The pho was absolutely delicious--rich, flavorful broth, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. You can tell they put care into every bowl they serve. This restaurant just changed ownership and been in Anaheim near Knotts Berryfarm for almost 3 months, but their service seems exceptional. The patrons/server named Ryan in glasses is a really nice guy who speaks with a gentle voice giving good recommendations to guests and will regularly check on tables if they need anything. Their food is amazing, I really like shrimp fried rice and bánh mì sandwiches along with their drinks like the colorful Lychee Peach Bubbly on the menu, super refreshing!
