Spicy Basil Salmon
Jacquelin R.

I've driven by so often I finally decided to try. The parking lot is small but there is plenty of parking. Be careful of some uneven areas and potholes though. I ordered online and arrived after the estimated pickup time and was told they were still working on it. There was a bench to sit and wait but the restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside. The cashier and cook were super nice and welcoming and packed everything nicely. I decided to get the Spicy Basil Salmon to try and wow it had sooo much flavor. The salmon didn't have a smell like some places and the flavors meshed well together and exploded in my mouth. I did think it was a bit expensive ($25), but I was happy to eat it at least. The thai tea was also pretty good, wasn't too sweet. The staff seem super nice and it was empty when I walked in, so i hope they get more business on the regular. The food was amazing and I'd get it again.

Photo doesnt do the food justice. Tender and delicious pork, awesome noodles, steamed veggies and added some eggs. The flavor on the sauce topping is banging. Definitely one of my new fave spots. I need to sit down and try some other things. Great service and nice interior. - Ken

Friendly service. I stopped in for a snack and got the fried tofu, which was really crunchy and served with a light peanut sauce. Delicious. I can't wait to try more things on the menu.

SO GOOD. The mango was PERFECTLY RIPE service was awesome she was so sweet and checked on us multiple times

I've had this place in mind for a while after seeing the reviews on yelp, driven past it a handful of times and honestly the exterior of the store and plaza is pretty unappealing. We were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived and throughout eating. The tables were a bit sticky but aside from that the interior was nice and clean. Their lower reviews complained of small portions and high prices but prices felt on par with most restaurants these days and portions were larger than I or my mom could finish. They weren't skimpy on the noodles or the meat and both of our dishes easily could've been saved for another meal. The service was nice and straightforward albeit the food took a little long to come out, around 20 minutes after we ordered. We got the B&P Noodle Soup & the pork noodles. The noodle soup was extremely flavorful, spicy, limey, and salty. The pork noodles were great as well, the pork very soft and tender and had no type of odor. I was a bit indecisive about adding egg to mine and ultimately said no and the owner split the egg that came with the Noodle Soup onto mine so I thought that was really thoughtful. The thai tea was also solid although I personally wish it were a bit creamier. I think if they had more distinct branding/advertisement (it's hard to tell what kind of restaurant they are or what they serve from just driving by) it could really help. Without yelp, I don't think I would've ever thought to try this place off their exterior alone but service and food is definitely good and worth a try.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to go to! I've been here so many time the manager remembers my order . The food always hits the spot every time, perfectly portioned! The music is always super nice and welcoming, managed definitely changes the music based on who her customers are

I live right down the street from this restaurant and have been wanting to try it for quite some time. Went today for lunch and the food was delicious, well prepared and authentic. We had salmon salad, larb noodle salad and barbecue beef. We started with a calamari appetizer that came with a tasty sauce. I had a green Thai tea. The barbecue beef comes with purple rice and steamed veggies. It is also served with a spicy tamarind sauce. The service was exceptional. Our server, Mook took excellent care of us. She was cordial and professional. The food is very fresh. They ask for your patience as every order is cooked to order. The ambience is a cute little place, welcoming, clean and nicely decorated. There are lots of plants. I highly recommend this restaurant.

First time coming to this restaurant and honestly I had the best experience ever. The food was amazing 10/10 and the customer service was also 10/10. I will make sure to come back. Best way to end my birthday

Yellow curry with shrimp, purple rice and roti bread.

The food was delicious. I had the yellow curry with shrimp and my spouse had BBQ Beef. Can't say enough how we enjoyed our meal. The place is small, clean and relaxing atmosphere. The owner of Bowl and Plate is the Hostess, Cook and Server. If we lived near by we would eat here every week.

This quaint little place was a one woman show the afternoon that we visited. We had the garlic shrimp as an entrée, chicken as an appetizer and iced passion fruit tea. The shrimp was the stand out! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The rice was amazing moist with a lovely delicate earthy flavor. The chicken was white meat with a light breading and coated in a slightly sweet sauce. The tea had a great taste not to sweet. The food was absolutely delicious! We will be back!

Great restaurant and absolutely delicious food. Love the care and attention put into each dish. I really recommend the BBQ chicken and rice. The owner is so sweet.

Spicy Eggplant

Small restaurant and cozy restaurant located off Ball near Disneyland. The food was really good! I got their spicy eggplant dish during my lunch break. The flavors were amazing and taste very authentic. I saw that they make mango sticky rice which I will definitely be coming back for. The service was great, I called in my order before arriving which shortened my wait time. If you're in a rush I recommend doing this.

The service was very good. They wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious. I had Yellow Curry with chicken, potatoes, onion, and purple rice. We shared 2 orders of their crispy Roti bread. Make sure they know how spicy you want it. My cousin had Beef Yakisoba with stir fried Yakisoba noodles, top sirloin beef, garlic, tomatoes, onions, bell pepper and crispy Noodles. We will be back for more delicious food in this pleasant restaurant.

Loved this Thai twist to this dish and the Asian chips. Iconic. Loved the pork belly rice dish! So good with the pickled carrot/radish, fish sauce, mint greens for the perfect bite. The pandan dessert we tried was also delicious. Cleaned my bowl. Service was excellent. Staff were happy to take a pic for us. Thank you Nep! **They don't have oat milk coffee options. We made a reservation for a Saturday night and were so excited and it really did not disappoint from start to finish. We got the puff bread with cultured butter with honey and furikake. OMG. I just... how can something so simply taste so delicious? Definitely a must try. We paired it with the salmon crudo and caprese with burrata. The salmon crudo was good, not blown away, but the caprese. Mmm! It came in a ponzu sauce and was this beautiful blend between Italian and Japanese flavors. So good. For our mains, my husband got the Seafood mafaldine and I opted for the Mala lamb pizza. This was such a unique pizza flavor, the hot honey sauce it came with tasted like a spicy, sweet curry and the pizza itself was delicious. Crispy crust, a little bit of cilantro for freshness. So good. To top it all off, we got the Blueberry pavlova and hazelnut cake. Both of these were incredibly indulgent and absolutely worth it. I think we were full for a whole day off this meal. To wash it down, I had the Highball with Suntory whiskey and a Calamansi Sidecar. I loved the assortment of Japanese whisky here, the cocktail menu was more tastefully curated than just trendy. On top of an excellent meal that I will be salivating over for a while, our server Danny was great! Super attentive, friendly, helpful and just a delight. Highly recommend!
