Talk about a mom and pop operation; that's what iPho really is! Huey and his wife run an absolutely awesome little Vietnamese eatery here in Anaheim. The decor is a mix of posters, hand written signs, and a few pieces of artwork; a little on the eclectic side- kinda fun. We wanted pho for dinner and the reviews on Yelp for this place are pretty fantastic. That was reason enough for us to give them a try. The kids all ordered milk teas with boba. The milk teas were delicious; the boba was a little different, they were expecting tapioca boba but instead received jelly boba. We started our meal with shrimp spring rolls; everyone liked them. Then we moved on to our pho. The broth here is just delectable! There are plenty of condiments on the table to create the desired flavor. If it's not there, ask... I was able to get my hot chili oil by simply requesting it. Huey, the owner, was terrific. He took good care of us. Came in right when they opened for breakfast on a Wednesday early afternoon to eat one of my favorite breakfast! Trying this for the first time so I definitely had to get their pho tai. The broth was not as clear as other pho places I've been to but it was delicious! Very beefy and flavorful! I didn't feel like I needed to add anything to eat it. It was a huge bowl for $15! Came on a Saturday evening and was welcomed and seated right away. This is a small mom and pop shop. This interior is very simple and humble, no fluff and frills. Their menu offers a good selection of pho and dry noodles. We got the spring rolls and Phở Đặc Biệt. The broth was rich and tasty, and there was a sufficient amount of meat and rice noodles. The more east (away from Westminster, Garden Grove) I go, the more nervous I get about trying pho restaurants but this one was great overall. With the relatively cool weather in Southern California, I had a hankering for pho. A quick Yelp search resulted in a short 3 1/2 mile drive to IPho in Anaheim. Scanned the menu and ran into my eternal Vietnamese restaurant choice - bun with pork & spring roll, or pho. Ended up this time ordering the brisket & rare steak. Only one size, so that was it. The food soon came, piping hot! The dish was generously sized, but doable. The broth is the star of the dish, especially with lime added. I had a pretty frustrating experience here. I went in, placed my order, and was told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Since I live nearby, I walked back home and returned about 30 minutes later expecting my food to be ready. When I got there, I was told it still wasn't ready because they forgot to make it. I understand mistakes happen, but this was really inconvenient and disappointing, especially after waiting longer than the original time they gave me. The flavor was good, I liked the amount of lemongrass and chili. I kinda like thicker rice noodles more, but what was provided was still good. My husband got the chicken fried rice which he liked. Ipho is my favorite pho place ! I always get the beef or chicken broth. Their broth is flavorful, and always tastes fresh .The noodles were cooked perfectly. I also loved how fresh the herbs and bean sprouts were. I come atleast once or twice a month. My kids love it here and I always get them the plain pho because they're so picky. I also order the plain rice for them. They have many other delicious plates and a variety of drinks. One of my favorite drinks is the Caramel and coconut milk teas with boba.
