Came by Krua Siam this past Sunday to try a new Thai spot. Right away, I really appreciated the interior- especially the modern, custom artwork featuring dishes and descriptions on the walls. As someone who enjoys good graphic design, that detail stood out and added a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. Food-wise, it was a bit of a mixed experience, so I'll break it down by dish: Fried Chicken Wings (1/5): This one was unfortunately the most underwhelming. The flavor was very mild, and I couldn't detect the toasted rice powder mentioned in the description- neither in the sauce nor as a coating on the wings. I found myself wondering how it was meant to be incorporated. The sauce itself was hard to place, maybe slightly sweet like a subtle honey flavor but overall it felt quite flat and didn't leave much of an impression. Combination Fried Rice (2.5/5): This dish was okay but had some texture issues. The rice leaned dry and a bit hard, with some clumping. There was some seasoning present, but the texture made it less enjoyable than it could have been. Panang Curry Beef (3.5/5): This ended up being the highlight of the meal. The beef was soft, tender, and really well-cooked. The flavor leaned more toward a beef stew profile than a traditional creamy Panang curry, and the color was more of a brownish-orange rather than the usual vibrant golden tone. Because of that, it didn't have the richness I typically expect, but it was still a satisfying dish. I was a bit surprised that it didn't come with rice, as that's something I usually see included-especially at $16. I had to order a side of rice which technically makes this dish $19 because who eats curry on its own? I've never seen it come without rice before. Pad Kee Mao (1/5): This was another dish that didn't quite come together for me. The noodles were quite pale and didn't have much flavor, which stood out since this dish is usually bold and well-seasoned. The texture also felt off- the noodles were clumpy and broken into shorter pieces rather than the long, separated strands you'd expect. Overall, it just didn't have the balance or depth I was hoping for. Service: On a very positive note, the service was wonderful. The server was kind, attentive and really helped make the experience better. The combination of great service and the thoughtfully designed space makes me feel like this place has a lot of potential. I really wanted to love this spot, especially with how strong the presentation and service are. With a bit more attention to flavor and consistency in the dishes, I think it could be a good spot. But as of now, if we were allowed half ratings- this would be 2.5 out of 5. I rated 3 because I liked the service lol.

Loved this place, the food exceptional, and the owners couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. The atmosphere was nice and very clean. When you see an old Thai woman doing the cooking in the kitchen, you know you found a great Thai restaurant. We plan on going back very soon. If you haven't been here yet, you won't be disappointed!

This spot is located in a small plaza so it could be easily missed. I came for dinner and there was no wait to be seated. I ordered a few items to share: pad see ew, pork rib soup, penang beef curry (mild) with a side of rice, and mango sticky rice. I enjoyed the penang beef curry the most. It was flavorful and delicious. Pad see ew was good, could have more wok flavor. Pork rib soup was also good but a bit sour for my taste. Mango sticky rice was yummy, love the fresh mangos. Overall, the food is pretty good. Servers were friendly and quick. I enjoyed eating here and would be back to try other items on the menu.

A good hole in the wall mom and pop Thai restaurant opened up in the neighborhood! I really loved their Thai tea and Thai iced coffee! It was so smooth probably one of the best I've had! Some places make their Thai iced coffees super bitter. We ordered the Khao Soi with chicken. Definitely not the best I've had, I felt that it was missing some more coconut curry flavor and needed more spice. It was decent none the less! Also ordered the Nam (Fermented pork) crispy rice salad. This was good to eat with the curry, however I thought the rice was a little too chewy, but flavor of the pork was good! Also ended our meal with the mango sticky rice, nothing to write home about, but solid! Definitely would like to come back and try it again with different menu items. I see they have lunch specials!

We got the boat noodle and pork larb to eat. Boat noodle had a rich and delicious broth with plenty of meat too! Pork larb was good, it had that amazing salty and limey flavor you look for in larb. Service was quick and our server was very friendly. She was the only one serving/running the front register. The inside was very home-like and cozy. Plenty of seating and bathroom is easy to spot.

Pad See Mao Smelled strongly of basil so I had high hopes for it but it was bland, would not get it again. Spicy eggplant with chicken The sauce on this was delicious and I loved eating everything together with the rice. Highly recommend this dish. Mango sticky rice You can never go wrong with a mango sticky rice. Overall although I didn't like everything I got, I would definitely come back to try more dishes.

Take out for dinner on the weekend went very smoothly. I wanted to try a new place with my usual favorites - pad see ew, crying tiger, and crab fried rice. The prices normally would have deterred me a bit, since my shrimp pad see ew was $18 and the other 2 dishes hitting the $20 mark. But I decided to give them a try anyway since those prices are comparable to another well known Thai place in Tustin. No regrets! 3 dishes was great for 2 people with leftovers for another meal for both of us. Pad see ew was well balanced, not too sweet at all. Crab fried rice was topped very generously with crab. Crying tiger had nice and tender pieces with a dipping sauce to add more flavor if desired.

Spicy Catfish! Deep-fried and served with spicy sauce and basil!

During the weekend of August 29th, 2025, my girlfriend and I decided to try out this new Thai place on Harbor Blvd. It's in a very discrete plaza with plenty of parking for a Friday night and a decent amount of customers mixed with dining and take-out. A very hole-in-the-wall environment but places like this always seem to have their own unique flavor. And that's where the food comes in so let's get going! FOOD Spicy Catfish with a side of rice An a la carte deep-fried catfish with spicy sauce and basil. Yes you are able to adjust spiciness to your liking! This dish had a bit of mixed feelings for me, the taste was almost there but it tasted a bit too salty even after mixing the sauce a bit for the fish to soak in. But having rice with every bite seems to balance it out which it enjoyable! Pad See Ew with Beef I'm very very picky when it comes to Pad See Ew since it's my go-to dish ever since I was a child and my personal feedback is that everything seems to be almost there, the flat noodles were cooked well enough that it wasn't too chewy or uncooked, the beef was savory but even after all the ingredients mixed in and a bit of chili sauce, something was missing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it but the flavor was lacking something and I can't quite pinpoint it. For me, it's probably something great to order for to-go but hey give it a shot, you might like it! OVERALL We loved the food, there was just a bit of something missing in our dish and maybe it's cause they just recently opened during the time we visited but we manage to finish all of our food so I can't say it's not all that bad, just maybe mediocre. Commends to the employees for their amazing service though! Very attentive to every customer while not overdoing it. We're going to give it a second chance and try a different dish with an appetizer so be ready for us! Also I'll try to remember to let you know about that Thai Tea lol! Big thanks to the Krua Siam Team!

3 mins walk from the great wolf lodge. All the way on the back of that commercial plaza. Very clean dining area and restrooms. Service was so courteous and efficient. The food was really good. I had the green sauce curry with shrimp and it was perfect! Kids had the lunch specials with pad see ew, chicken- beef and shrimp. We had a large party of 9 and everyone was so happy and satisfied. The cook is 78 years old and was non stop. Her food was so good. Don't forget to try the mango sticky rice and the Thai ice coffee. We will definitely come even if we're not staying at the lodge.

Panang curry with beef and chinese broccs with crispy pork belly

I'm so so happy that I found this hole-in-the-wall. This might be the best Thai food place I've ever had. - service: 1000/10. People are so warm and welcoming. They even recognized our Lisa shirts. (Iykyk) - food: omg the curry slaps so hard. It has so much depth and levels that obviously takes long and definitely not those curry cube flavors. Highly recommend getting curries if you want to know how true curry tastes like. The chinese broccs and crispy pork is simple, yet deadly. Hot wok with garlics, greens and CRISPY PORK and it's done PERFECTLY. I savoured the whole plate by myself All portions are hugeeeeee. And even though the rice is not included, the dishes are so good that we need more rice than we thought. So i'm not complaining at all. I will definitely come back and bring families to enjoy this place and i hope they would stay around :)

We found Krua Siam after spending time at Nickel Nickel Arcade and looking for something good nearby. It is tucked into a small shopping center and easy to miss, but it ended up being a great find. The food here is outstanding and easily some of the best Thai food I have had. Everything tasted fresh and authentic with that unmistakable wok cooked umami flavor. My wife and I both ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and cooked just right. We also shared the chicken skewers, which were tender, well seasoned, and paired beautifully with the peanut sauce. We came in as a large group of twelve with seven kids and five adults, and the owners were incredibly kind and accommodating, even with the chaos of a big family group. Service felt warm and genuine and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. The inside of the restaurant was extremely clean, comfortable, cozy, and well maintained with a great overall vibe. You can tell the owner brings years of experience to the kitchen, having been in the restaurant industry for over twenty years and previously owning well known Thai restaurants in the area. Overall, Krua Siam is a fantastic family owned spot that delivers high quality Thai food and excellent hospitality. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it.

The food is delicious and flavorful, the interior is clean and modern, the service is wonderful! I mean tom yum fried rice, say less. I really appreciate the ceramic containers for the legit chili sauces. I only wish I lived closer, otherwise this place would by my go to takeout spot.

Absolutely love this Tai restaurant! Great food and great customer service. Will definitely be coming back for more sticky mango rice, I actually enjoyed everything we got that day.

It is not greatly seasoned, it may taste kind of plain to some. I noticed some of the seafood was not cooked fully. I do mot recommend this. Pad Thai:This is a must try! The noodle is chewy and it is not the typical noodle used for Pad Thai. The dish is flavorful and the bean sprouts adds a great crunch. If you love peanuts, then there are some on side. Definitely recommend this. Papaya Salad: Absolutely love it. The salad is well flavored and marinated. Definitely recommend this if you're new to Thai food. I saw people ordering large party tray for papaya salad. Tom Yum Soup with seafood: Great soup option especially in the winter. The portion is seafood is great. The taste of sour and spicy balanced well together. The restaurant seems to be under-staffed. We waited for a while to be seated because the only person working in the front was helping in the back. And our Pad Thai was left out when we did make the order. Luckily the front staff was friendly and the food really made it up. This restaurant happens to be located in the same plaza as OC & Lau, so you might have to park a bit further. I definitely believe this restaurant should be more recognized. It got a great selection and the food tastes great. Of course, they should improve their staffing issues.

A couple things to know before you go: parking isn't great, and the restaurant gets busy. We showed up around 5:00 p.m. and only waited about 20 minutes, but I could see larger parties having a much longer wait. My go-to dish is the Pad Kra Prow Eggplant with chicken. It's a Thai basil stir-fry with eggplant, onion, and Thai chilis, and I absolutely love it. We also ordered the mussel curry, which my friend picked, and it completely surprised me. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, but it was excellent. The standout, though, was the Khao Soi Noodle Soup with sliced rib-eye beef. Somehow I'd never ordered the dish they're most famous for, and now I understand why. It absolutely lived up to the hype. The broth with the rib-eye was incredible and is something I'd recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. My biggest criticism is that the rice portions feel smaller than they used to. With how much delicious curry and sauce you get, I found myself wishing there was just a little more rice to soak everything up. I also noticed that the green beans in the Pad Kra Prow Eggplant are very al dente. Personally, I'd prefer if they were blanched just a bit so they were slightly more tender. If the goal is to add texture, I'd almost rather see crunch come from something like cashews instead--but that's just my preference. For dessert, we had the mango sticky rice and another dessert with sweet milk dumplings and red beans. Both were fantastic and a great way to end the meal. Vibes of the restaurant are great. It's a small venue, but they work quickly, and a staff was very welcoming. Overall, Chiang Rai continues to be my favorite Thai spot in Southern California. If it's your first visit, the Khao Soi with sliced rib-eye is absolutely the dish I'd tell you to order.
