This place is definitely a hidden gem! I've driven past this spot 20 years of my life and decided to stop by on a whim with my family. When you first enter, the establishment is clean, spacious, and welcoming. We were instantly greeted and got seated. We ordered a few things; pad thai, pad see ew. pineapple fried rice, and the cream cheese wontons. The portions are very generous and tasted amazing! All the food was freshly made and they didn't skimp out on the protein in the entrees. I would highly recommend coming to this spot, it'll be your new favorite thai place.

Ordered chicken pad see ew and mango sticky rice to go. Chicken pad see ew was amazing! But $13 for this mango sticky rice????? Crazy. The size is very underwhelming for this price.

The restaurant is very clean and well decorated. They recently upgraded dining tables and chairs which are much more comfortable. The staff are nice and fast with orders. The food is freshly made and delicious. We tried many dishes as shown. Our most favorites are papaya salad with shrimps, onchoy, and beef salad. But other dishes are also good. Call in advance if you have big party.

Love this place!! My office and I love the lunch special pad thai paired with the jasmine ice tea. The best jasmine I've tasted at a restaurant hands down. The staff is friendly and got our take out ready for pick up super quick! If dining in they'll have their side salad and soup of the day to go along with your lunch special. It gets packed at times but isn't too loud. Parking can get hard to find so be mindful. Overall their food never disappoints and is always a hit in my office!

Been on a pad thai crave and Jumpa thai definitely fulfilled my craving. Ive been here 2 weeks in a row for lunch, 1st time I got seafood pad thai and the 2nd time i've gotten shrimp pad thai. The pad thai here is saucy which I love, good amount of sweetness and tang, portion size pretty good also. I love that the spice rack is right on the table for you also. Overall solid pad thai, i do prefer the shrimp pad thai over the seafood pad thai.

My family and I have visited this place multiple times while growing up as I have so many memories here. I noticed the menu has Vietnamese translations to accommodate the large Vietnamese population in Garden Grove. Fish Cake (5/5): I always think this is the most underrated Thai appetizer. It's soft with the great hint of spice in it. Papaya Salad (5/5): Very refreshing with a packed umami flavor. The crunchiness squeezes out all the amazing flavor when you bite into it. Manila Clams w/basil leaf (4/5): I really liked how flavorful the black bean sauce was. It was coated with salt and pepper. The clams were not as plumped as I hoped though. Tom Yom Soup (5/5); Must get this with rice! I was perfectly sour and sweet. The mushroom was also very delicious Chicken Pad Thai (4/5): Very standard pad Thai, but still very yummy. It was comforting with the taste that reminds you of your childhood.

Why do Thai restaurants think it's okay to talk about their customers in front of them in Thai and think it's okay? I mean, luckily most of their customers don't understand them because they all happily stayed and ordered their food but it upset me a lot. The place is huge, looks like it can easily host busy weekends without a wait, but is it worth it? Prices are about $12-20 per item, which is steep for the portion size. We tried to eat everything "family style" but we didn't think the portions were worth it. And we paid regular prices, not their lunch prices. I know this is a long standing neighborhood gem but it's definitely just okay to me. Sanamluang still has my heart and I'll gladly drive to Claremont for it from OC.

My family and I have been going to Jumpa Thai since they first opened. Since I was a kid, this has been our go-to restaurant for any special occasion. After trying other places, we believe they have the BEST Thai food! Staff is also great and kind :) In my opinion, the dishes are well-seasoned, never lacking or overwhelming. It's just right for us! I will say that what's been disappointing is that the portions have shrunk over the years with increased pricing :( BUT the flavor has been consistent!

Came here on a Sunday before they opened and waited for the rest of my party to arrive. Last time I had come here was in 2022. The restaurant is clean and servers are attentive. We were able to get separate checks. I ordered the combination pad thai which presentation wise looked great. There was pork, beef, shrimp and chicken. Not sure if there was any tofu. It was good, but I could only eat 1/3 as it was way too sweet for me. There was much too much sauce. I think half the amount of sauce would've been perfect

I've been coming to Jumpa Thai for 5 years now and I gotta say, they keep up with their staple quality. It is already a famous spot for Thai food in Garden Grove area, mostly because of their flavors. What I like about their Curry is that it is not too liquidy and you can taste the curry flavor, not just the coconut milk. Pad Thai has very good portion, not too sweet, and I been having it for lunch for years, still want to order every other week. Very nice and awesome service. The servers are all attentive and friendly, make sure to check on you, which is a plus. Also recommend their: Boat noodle soup, Tom Kha and Tom Yum. One pros is they have lunch special deal that is only $11 or $12 if you order at the lunch time range. ( notes: lunch special portion is smaller than regular portion). Overall, my comfort and go-to Thai place in local OC areas.

Best Pad Thai in town, seriously! The noodles are filled with so much flavor and cooked to perfection. I always order it with chicken and hands down never lets me down. The yellow curry is also devine. Service is not the best here especially from a gentleman server idk his name lol I always feel so rushed and feel like Im bothering when I asked for chili. Lmao. Same guy when I ordered to go, I wasn't provided with utensils or napkins. If I went straight home, then I woulda been fine but I went straight to the hospital where there wasn't any utensils. I had to leave and grab some from a restaurant across the street lol. OH WELL! I come for the food not the service!

We've ordered takeout from here a few times and loved it, so we decided to go eat in person tonight. Everything was so delicious, and the restaurant is pretty and very clean. Very kind staff. We love the tom kha soup, the pad thai, and the yellow curry. Tonight we tried the steamed fish fillet with ginger, which came on a fish shaped dish and was DELICIOUS! We also had panang curry and shrimp fried rice, both delicious. You have to go say hi to the little puffer fish in the back, whose name is Pak Pow (he swims up to your face to say hi, he's so cute!!!)

My family and I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. I'm glad this restaurant is…read morestill going strong. This is our go-to place for ca nuong (fried fish)! Parking: There's a large parking lot. Finding a spot can be somewhat difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. Perfect for groups of all sizes. It's a traditional Vietnamese restaurant. You'll know what I mean once you see the table cloths and chairs. Everything is kept well and clean. Service: We didn't catch anyone's names, but everyone was nice, quick, & efficient. Our server checked on us a few times to refill our teas and waters. They primarily speak Vietnamese, but they also understand and speak broken English. Food: Bringing your family for the 7 courses of beef is the perfect way to feed everyone and go home with a full belly. We also ordered grilled shrimp and grilled fish (my favorite)! The 7 courses include meats, mixed greens and pickled veggies, rice papers, soups, and sauces. We always enjoy everything and leave satisfied! If you didn't know how to wrap a rice paper roll, well you're gonna learn now! The sauce is one of the most important parts to ensure you have a delicious bite. Ironically, I don't dip my rolls in the sauces, so I have no advice for making a good sauce lmao. Start with a rice paper and dip it in the warm water. My biggest advice is to leave a tiny bit of rice paper off the edge of your plate, so it will be easier to roll later. Then, layer greens on top first. Each time you add a layer, always place it close to the edge of the rice paper. I always layer a cabbage first then basil leaves on top, then pickled veggies. Next, layer your choice of protein on top. Since we ordered a few different proteins, I had one of each. Don't overflow your layers bc it'll be difficult to wrap. Now, grab the edge of the rice paper and start rolling. When you're half way through, tuck in the sides, and continue rolling. You just made a rice paper roll! Enjoy! Pricing: Prices have definitely gone up over the years. Can't blame them for trying to operate in this economy. It can be expensive, but it's definitely worth it!

a classic Vietnamese restaurant you come to with your family if you want to feast on hella dishes!…read more We ordered the meat for shabu and grill, and you cook it on the grill or in the pot of soup and make your own spring roll! My fav was the marinated meat to grill, it was garlicky and flavorful! it's juicy and when making my spring roll, I also added the seafood as well that we grilled. Shabu meat is very thin and the soup was ok for me, I just stuck with the marinated grilled meat and also the meat wrapped + hamburger pattie looking type of meat to make my spring rolls I kept seeing ca nuong at other tables and it looked sooo good, def want to try that next time I come here
