Brian is a master candymaker ('course, he learned from the best - his mom!) and he has just rolled out a new, entirely hand-made goody that is positively mind-blowing: a 19oz (not a typo!) BRICK of chocolate that is stuffed with pistachio nougat and almond toffee! Unbeliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiievaaable. I bought mine yesterday, and told Brian I'd make it last into April. NOT gonna happen. I selected the dark chocolate edition (milk and white are also available) and it is beyooooond compare. The THICK dark chocolate coating is super rich, crunchy delish but what's inside is the star: an expertly-rendered mixture of pistachio nougat and Brian's signature almond toffee. Mouth-feel is just right; the candy middle is NOT too sweet, very, very rich, and INSTANTLY ADDICTIVE - LOL! This is the kind of thing you'd bring to a dinner party and share with others, along with champagne. Yesterday was my first stepping into Castles Confections ! Brian, the owner, is really nice and friendly ! He gave me two toffee samples: one milk chocolate, and one dark chocolate . I bought 2 pints of ice cream: one pint of dark chocolate toffee in vanilla ice cream, and also toffee in coffee ice cream ! Brian said the coffee toffee ice cream is perfect for coffee lovers ! I also bought 3 toffee ice cream bars: 2 vanilla ones for my parents, and 1 coffee one for me ! My parents and I really both the toffee ice cream pints, and the toffee ice cream bars ! My mom especially liked how the ice cream itself is so rich and creamy ! These are definitely delicious treats on a hot day ! And you can find them in the heart of Amerige Heights in Fullerton ! This little hidden gem is in the corner of a hidden strip mall. Upon walking in it you could smell the aroma of sweetness. I was greeted by the owner Brian and he could tell it was my first visit. He offered me samples so I could try his homemade toffee. He shared stories of his journey and answered all my questions. I loved the personal feeling that his shop provided.
