It was milk chocolate with hazelnuts that was simply decadent and delicious, but I must have it in dark chocolate.. Everything in its place boxes and boxes of delectable chocolates abound this chocolatier. What I love most about it is the free samples, of course, it is like Costco, but in chocolate for me. I did get a small block of the dark chocolate with hazelnut and tried about three more of their beautifully handcrafted chocolate bites, they do not skimp. Jessica was patient while I asked questions which she happily answered and tried one of the usual w/ ganache that was OK so I chose some that had some nuts in it. All in all this was a very delightful experience and would joyfully return but with small hesitation because it's just devilishly good & sinful! Greeted us w some yummy chocolate to sample. See's Candies are always so yummy & nostalgic. They've been around forever, See's location is always so clean and nicely put together. I forget that there's a See's in my neighborhood and recently was eating lunch across the street and decided to stop in to see if they sold just dark chocolate almond candies and they did! They were in one of those rotating display stands by the register and it was 1 pound for $16! The line kind of moved slow and I was in a rush and getting annoyed so once I got to the front I was just in a go-go-go mode. Patti O. rang me up and asked me how I was doing, but the way she asked it felt genuine. I haphazardly asked her how she was doing and she said she couldn't complain, she's selling chocolate all day so she's pretty happy. Something about that interaction instantly put me in a good mood and made me slow down. I smiled and then she looked at my purchase and told me good choice and then proceeded to put some samples into a separate bag and told me she put some milk and dark chocolate truffles in there for me. When my family and I came to the parks in April, we found our way to Ghirardelli. It was so freakin' good, in fact, that I forgot to take my usual photos. Photos of something so amazingly good, and I simply forgot cuz I was so focused on the euphoria I was feeling and tasting over my sundae. This is a great place, and to be honest, as familiar as I am with Ghirardelli products, this may have been the first time I've had one of their hot fudge sundaes. This was one of my highlights of visiting DCA. I'll definitely return to DCA for this alone !!
