We came by here the other day after having lunch at Knott's Restaurant. The Candy Parlour is a cute little store. There's not a huge selection of candy here but just enough to make the kiddos happy! There's some vintage candy, like Abba Zabas and Bit O Honey, throughout the store. There's also a nice variety of Jelly Bellies here that's pretty fun. The salt water taffy looked really good too! We will have to try some on our next visit here. There were small areas throughout the store that had gift items like mugs, stationary, and magnets. What we really liked was that the Candy Parlour was getting their Christmas decorations up. We also liked seeing a small section of Christmas gift items being sold here as well. On our next visit here, we'll have to see what new candy they get in and try out that salt water taffy. I would also like to see if they sell any chocolate (fudge maybe?), especially before the Christmas holiday!

Got a sweet tooth! This is the place to be!!! Mini candy store outside of Knott's Berry Farm. It's not that big.... It's cute inside! One thing that captured my eyes are the candy sticks. Remember those candy sticks from See's Candy? They don't make it anymore. Those are one of my favorite from my childhood and I love the grape flavor. Well they have the sticks here!!! I was so excited!!! I had to try the bacon flavor!!! This little candy store would have been a perfect 5 if the guy running the store/cashier was more enthusiastic about the candy. Me: What's ur favorite flavor on these sticks? Grumpy Cashier: I haven't tried them. Me: What's the most popular? Grumpy: I don't know everyone buys different ones. Me: What's your favorite candy in here? Grumpy: I don't have a favorite candy in here. It's the fudge next door. Me: Aw... Well... Okaaaay! If he was a bit enthusiastic, I would have probably bought more....

These guys have boat loads of fresh candy. Purchased some rings and sour worms. Probably the best I ever had. Large selection of candy, the kids working here very helpful.

SUGAR RUSH! I love stopping in this store, located close to the Voyage to the Iron Reef ride. It's also adjacent to a center water fountain, on the south west side of the park. My favorite feature is the different ways you can purchase candy based on your appetitie, sweetness level, and wallet! They also have neat gift ideas. These include large boxes of Bean Boozled games, lunch box tins with assorted candy styles from the 1960's, 1970's and such, plus humongous Gummy Bears, Sugar Daddy's, and Dum Dums (lollipop). Candy can be purchased per pound via a center island bin that requires you to scoop what you'd like and place into a plastic bag to be weighed. They also have a small table to add mini Charleston Chews, Bit-O-Honeys, Caramels and such. I really liked the jelly bean section. On the wall, they have individual bags of wild flavors such as Snapple Juices, Buttered Popcorn, and a seasonal red, white, and blue bag. For the kids and teens that can tolerate it, they even offer those long "straws" to pour colored sugar right into. Come get your taste buds satisfied.

Decent selection of sweets. I stumbled through here on the way out from Knott's Chicken To Go (all the shops are connected). It was blazing hot outside so I opted for the air conditioned route back to the car. Smells of sugary sweets and a rainbow of color will hit you (see pic) and the salt water taffy barrels in the corner made me stop, grab a bag, and fill it (my wife's favorite). I'm not a big dessert person myself, but I know anytime work puts me on the east coast, it's mandatory that I pick up some salt water taffy. Nice! Bonus points for me tonight. =)

All the salt water taffy except the orange cream were very hard.

The plaza has plenty of parking and houses a few other ethnic restaurants and spas, so it's very easy to get to during a Disneyland trip. Inside, there are tons of stuff from the Levant, spices, halal gummies, imported chocolates, homemade Dubai chocolate, and a huge selection of Turkish delights and roasted nuts made by them. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.

TAWDI appeared highly rated, but it was also basically the only choice. Walking in to Mickey Mouse greeting you, it's a very homely, organized, and oddly empty shop with some Middle Eastern influence. They are big on marketing for their Dubai chocolate offerings, which I did try. The lady who helped was very kind, offering us each a sample by the chocolate type we liked. As she explained how they make chocolate in the back daily, I had to inquire about popular selections and what some flavors were. Basically, they seem to focus on Dubai chocolates and have some imported goods from Lebanon. While I trust that they make chocolates daily, I have to question how much, what flavors, and what is being turned over, because the sample I ate and the chocolates I opened up later certainly had obvious chocolate bloom, and yes they were stored at an appropriate temperature and eaten on the same day. At the price these pieces were, they certainly shouldn't have chocolate bloom nor taste like old chocolate. The filling of their Dubai bar was nice, crunchy, and moist, but the exterior chocolate shell didn't really have a taste. I am fine with paying a premium for premium-tasting chocolate and often do it, but I would have preferred eating grocery store chocolate, honestly. I'm not sure what others are tasting or whether people reviewing TAWDI are actually into chocolate, but I was disappointed when I didn't enjoy these.

Since she didn't have a ninja pinata made, she offered to make one and we discussed the height, design and cost. I found the cost to be extremely reasonable.
