Candy Palace is one of my favorite spots at Disneyland! They have all the good goods and fun themed items for snacks here. I love taking cute selfie photos with my Minnie ears and cutesey Disney themed desserts! And this is absolutely the place to get all these adorable baked goods. This sweet tooth soothing shop is on Main Street, U.S.A. in the main Disneyland Park with a friendly staff but forever long lines. Bonus fun - they have glass walls so you can see the candy makers working their magic. Although I don't eat them, I love the Disneyland caramel apples and watching them being decorated. The inventive themes of caramel apples over the years have been awe inspiring! Creative ideas come out in their culinary art, for sure. Cupcakes, toffee, cake pops, bags of popcorn and so many other treats are available here. Theme goods change with the seasons and events so it's fun keeping an eye on what's new & fun at the Candy Palace. One of my most favorite spots before I leave Disneyland for the day is Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen located on Main Street, USA. As soon as you walk in, the smell with the amazing aroma of freshly made candies and chocolates is fantastic, and, you feel like walking into an old fashioned candy store that has been around for years! Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen offers many types of delicious treats such as fudge, caramel apples, cookies, plus many other candies covered in chocolate. My personal favorite to get is the chocolate covered marshmallow on a stick. It has been a part of my experience for so long that I now find myself stopping before leaving the park to grab one and take back to the hotel for after or to save for later in the evening. When you bite into the marshmallow, it is soft and fluffy on the inside, and when you bite through the chocolate on the outside, it is a deliciously perfect way to finish your day at the Disneyland Resort! I do enjoy visiting Pooh Corner as well, which is another candy store within the park offering a variety of candies and sweet treats as they make them in the store! The staff here run the ticket counter like the manager at a Waffle House, which is to say, if you're not ready when they call your number, you might as well just stay out of the Candy Palace and Kitchen. And, honestly, I love that. When you walk in, grab a ticket, and be ready to order when they call your number, it's easy! They have cases with everything displayed so you can see pick out your goodies in advance and a plethora of packaged sweets throughout the store. It can get pretty crowded in here, just fyi! Typically, they have everything here in terms of sweets and treats that the have in the park which means even if you don't have a Disney ticket, you can still experience some the magic and I love that. read more

Amazing selection of goodies and really well stocked this week so we weren't disappointed. They're one of the only places I've seen the hand pies which I've always wanted to try. They also display the items really well so you can clearly see what they have and don't have to make panic decisions. This is very important to people like me who are easily overwhelmed. Candy Palace is the spot to go for all things sweet at Disneyland. They offer freshly made treats daily and even seasonal ones like the freshly handmade candy canes. The case is usually stocked with rice crispy treats in the fun Mickey shapes or candied apples. They also have cookies, chocolate covered strawberries (in February), bags of candy, bags of cookies, English toffee, and chocolate covered marshmallows. Depending on the day you go, there is a different fresh treat being made by the master confectioners behind the glass. My neighbor specifically requested Nuttles from Candy Palace a while back and for the life of me I could not find them. Nuttles are their take on turtles which are chocolate covered caramel candies topped with salted pecans. Mind you, as a Magic Key Holder, I'm at the park at least 3-4 times a month. I usually go on the weekend and eventually I had to ask when the Nuttles were scheduled. Apparently, they are only made on Wednesdays and Fridays. Well one Saturday, they were on the schedule and I was so excited to see them being made. But alas, they weren't ready and weren't being sold yet because the chocolate had not set properly. I wasn't staying late so I went home emptyhanded. This past Friday, I had a planned Disney Date with my FSIL and I went into Candy Palace fully expecting to go away emptyhanded again; I mean, I've been searching for these Nuttles for over a year now. But they had them! And when I asked the CM, they had some behind the counter. They weren't in the display case but you could see them being made as the "Treat of the Day". They do limit them to two per customer and I was able to use my Magic Key Discount. Score! My neighbor was super stoked and so was I because I wanted to try them too. I walked out with two freshly made packages of Nuttles and a huge smile on my face. read more

Can you say sugar rush? Whenever I'm at Disneyland, on my way out I always stop to look at the latest sweets and treats at the Candy Palace. I'm sure my doctor wouldn't recommend indulging too much but for the most part I do have will power and usually just look and smell. My two favorite things to get here are the English Toffee (dipped in milk chocolate and sold in bags) and the grape cotton candy. I really have to hold myself back from eating these two sweets. The cotton candy is just a guilty pleasure because I mean who doesn't like cotton candy? And the toffee is just so buttery and decadent. I've had the various cookies and occasionally fudge. All good but not amazing. I think it's more of a pretty, seasonal treat that is just fun. Now, I have yet to get the elusive nuttles which I hear are wonderful. Every time I go, its either not ready or sold out. Disneyland just knows how to make all kinds of sugary goodies that appeal to different ages and tastes. They even sell tea, coffee, flavored popcorn, candies, and cookies all wrapped and good as gifts or something to munch on while waiting for a parade or to get a rush of energy for the day. Finally tried the Strawberry Hand Pie. It's been on the menu since 2020 and has had a few different looks since then. Today it resembles those sweet, frosted, crumbly Pop Tarts most of us grew up eating. Unlike Pop tarts, this hand pie is not as sweet and tastes more like a cookie IMO and would be perfect with a glass of milk! Mmm... *** Rocky Road Review *** So, I tried their Rocky Road about 5 months ago. And it ruined all other Rocky Road for me. I've been chasing ever since and finally found my old friend! Comparison - I love Sees Candy. And I use to think Sees had the best RR, but it must be that Disney Magic sprinkled. These are delicious, but be warned! Once you've tried it, you'll be the annoying friend that finds out someone is going to Disney and you always ask "Can you see if they have Rocky Road?" The chocolate melts in your fingertips as you pull it apart, exposing the fluffy marshmallow. Comes in a cool little pie tin so what you don't finish in one sitting, you can save for later. Tips 1. They only make this once a month. I was told on Monday (today is Wednesday) that they make it on Saturdays. I just had to check and glad I did. Apparently, those days are subject to change so just look. 2. 10 item limit so make sure to bring your Groucho Marx glasses along with your Mickey Ears! My family and I came from out of state to try your in-house rocky road, but unfortunately, the shelves were empty. I noticed some customers had several bags, suggesting a limit might help manage demand better. Later that evening, on our way out of the park, we saw a fresh batch being made with dozens of bags ready. However, to my disappointment, the employees said they couldn't assist with the sale. I hoped to buy one of the finished bags since we were leaving, but when I asked how long it would be, they just directed me back to the workers making the rocky road. We left without any. I'm posting this review to suggest implementing limits on purchases, providing a schedule for when new batches are ready, and making accommodations for customers like us who can't wait. read more

Candy Palace has two entrances, apparently. One directly off Main Street, and the other is tucked away between Refreshment Corner and a seating area that also borders Jolly Holiday. We were two tired grandparents with aching feet and a sleeping toddler in her stroller who were looking for a respite while the middle generation was riding more rides. We found a table, right next to the back Candy Palace entrance, then I went in search of a sweet treat for Dear Hubby and me. In addition to their namesake candy, they also feature cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, marshmallow treats, and more. As it was DH's birthday, I selected a cupcake for him, and a different flavor one for myself. Next time, I will probably stick with a cookie. The cupcake was a tad too sweet to be as amazing as it looked. Service was friendly and reasonably quick. I was too tired to really wander their entire space and take in the merchandise and the seasonal décor. We'd heard good things about a concoction at Candy Palace called the Churro Toffee, and since I love churros and I love toffee, it seemed like a total no-brainer. And indeed, it's amazing. The delectable toffee is covered in the seasoning you'd find on a churro and the two work together beautifully. It's so good, in fact, that a few days later I grabbed one to take home with me. While I was in there on that last day, I also bought a bag of their chocolate and peanut covered toffee. I didn't think they could top the Churro Toffee, but holy smokes did they ever. How sad that Disneyland decided to change things that had been around forever. Is it greed? Probably. Makes me sad. I walked into this place super excited to buy my favorite thing at Disney, the giant block of rocky road I've been buying here for years. I would take it home and eat it with my family all week long, and we'd reminisce about all the fun rides we had done and how delicious the rocky road was! No where was this to be found any more! No where. I finally asked the lady behind the counter about it and she stared at me dumbly. I said, come on, its only been a few years since last time we were here, it was 2016 or maybe 2017. She then says, Oh that rocky road! We never made that, such and such company made it....we don't do business with them anymore, now we have this...she points to a small pot of rocky road that looks very different than what they used to have, and maybe a 5th of the size. So I bought the small thing, and it tasted okay, but why do they not train people to tell the truth? The giant block of rocky road was actually made in house, in fact read my previous review below from 2014, I personally SAW them making it in the window! That's what got me to first buy some! So why say otherwise? I found that weird and disconcerting. Oh, and if you are a fan of the giant chocolate dipped frozen banana, you'll be out of luck on that one too. We were told they will NO LONGER be selling the chocolate dipped banana either. Huge disappointment for my husband who looks forward to that treat with every Disney visit. I always find myself walking through here multiple times during my trips to see what new goodies they have or seeing what I can take home with me. One of my fav things to do when going inside is watching the CM's making the candy and if you're lucky it'll be one if the items that they don't make very often. One of those items happens to be the Caramel Stick, this is so hard to come by because they only make it once a month or so. It's the softest, most decadent caramel on a stick covered in milk chocolate and it literally melts in your mouth. One if my other favorite treats is the ever so popular Churro Toffee, which is toffee dipped in white chocolate and cinnamon/sugar. It's definitely better than the regular English toffee and I tend to get multiple to take home. They don't just have candy but they also have cupcakes, cookies, scones, caramel apples and other various desserts. They usually have unique limited time treats during the holidays as well. It's a must stop during every visit to Disneyland and worth waiting in the long lines at time and worth all the calories! read more
