As usual, after our Disneyland day, we walk through Downtown Disney for some treats, and along the way we decided to stop by Beignets Expressed for some Beignets. Beignets Expressed is located right next to Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio. It has been decades since I've been to Jazz Kitchen. For a weekday, we were fortunate that there was barely any line and we were able to grab and go real quick. Of course it would be better to enjoy them on the spot but we were so full from our late lunch that we saved them for later. 4 pcs Beignets $10.99 The price was very reasonable, given that it's Disney, and the size and taste were great. The classic powdered sugar 4 pack is my go-to when visiting Downtown Disney. I got addicted and stopped by 3 nights in a row when on a work trip. The first two nights, the beignets were so fluffy but the last time they were a little flat -- still good, but quality can depend on who is frying them. I've come here a few times when I stop by Downtown Disney. The line is almost always out the door especially in the evenings. I came in on a random weekday, middle of the day so there was basically no line which was nice. I ended up getting their frozen hot chocolate-it's very rich as well as 4 beignets. Their beignets are also crispy and fluffy. They don't hold back on the powdered sugar either-accidentally spilled some all over myself the first time I pulled out a beignet LOL. Place was clean, employees said hello. We ordered the pick four. It came to $19 ish dollars. WE THREW IT AWAY. The bananas foster and strawberry taste so artificial it's insane. The sauce leaked onto the others and the others were so artificial and fake tasting. I was shocked I threw $19 into the trash. Only get the original powder sugar, I didn't try it but do not get these. I'm surprised the quality and taste was so bad for being in downtown Disney. This is a quick grab-n-go location, so there's no indoor seating. But they do have a few tables outside. The tables can use a cleaning because there's powered sugar everywhere. While waiting in line, you can watch the workers make the beignets behind a glass window. The cashier that assisted us was nice. Throughput was surprisingly quick after ordering. We ordered 10 beignets. These were given in a paper bag filled with a generous amount of powdered sugar. Make sure to shake the bag well! Highly recommend eating these immediately. At first bite, the beignets are very fluffy and fried to perfection. It is not good after a couple hours or the next day because it becomes flat. Prices are really expensive for beignets. I'm not surprised since this is Disney. I think it's a good sweet treat once in a while. Friday evenings, weekends, and holidays are extremely busier. Don't be shocked if finding a parking spot is difficult. The Downtown Disney parking lot is also called the Simba parking lot. Make sure to route to this specific parking lot if you're going to Downtown Disney. For whatever reason, if you route to the actual restaurant or shopping store, Apple Maps and Google Maps will route you through Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Beignets were delicious, very similar to the ones inside the park. They actually seemed a bit bigger and had more powdered sugar, which was a nice bonus. I also liked that they're made to order, so they come out fresh and warm every time. The wait wasn't too bad about 10 minutes, which is pretty reasonable since it can get much longer. I do wish they included a dipping sauce, but unfortunately caramel or chocolate comes at an extra cost (around $3). The ambiance is just okay, nothing too special. This was my second experience after a Disneyland trip. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, and there was a line wrapped against the wall outside the door. This has been my experience each time, however, they move this line, pretty fast. I enjoyed the experience of seeing the workers roll out the dough for the Beignets. That's always fun to watch as you wait for the cashier. The cashier was great, he was taking orders and getting everyone in and out well. This time I ordered their Banana Foster which had a banana rum (flavoring) not alcohol and caramel. I was expecting slices of banana inside and caramel drizzle on top with possibly whip whipped cream. It didn't have any of that. I was a little disappointed. I will say that they are served hot and fresh. I would definitely return, but order something different next time. Be prepared as this place is packed, line out the door and they aren't very efficient. We waited almost 15 min for our 4 mixed packs and they still made an error on our order. He asked if we wanted a hot chocolate or peppermint as he only had a limited left. We chose peppermint and end up with chocolate. After the wait we weren't going back in. Because of how they add the flavors it takes more time than the regular. They should notify customers but I think they forgot the order because we had to inquire about it. After a fun filled foot sore family irritated night of Mickey's house, we decided four original beignets was what we needed as a last sweet sugar rush to bring us back to our hotel safely. Though I'm not a fanatic of beignets like some Disney enthusiasts like myself, I will have to say these were hands down my favorite this weekend as traveled with a beignet fan. Shocking, I know, but I actually don't prefer the Mickey-Shapes ones in the park as they are too hollow in the interior. The ones at Beignets Expressed were perfectly dense while light and fluffy, and elegantly dusted with powdered sugar. Raspberry is my favorite beignet condiment and their raspberry sauce was very delicious. With both quick and friendly service, we both recommend this location to satisfy your beignet fix. On our way to the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon 2025 Health and Fitness Expo, my husband and I stopped by Beignets Expressed in Downtown Disney for breakfast on a Thursday morning before 10:00 A.M. Beignets Expressed recently opened in 2023. The interior is modern and inviting, allowing guests to peek at the beignet making process as they wait! There was a team member making the dough while we were looking over the menu at Beignets Expressed. Located adjacent to the Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio, Beignets Expressed offers beignets and several drinks too! Beignets Expressed delivers traditional powdered sugar beignets, made from a custom in house blend that's been used since 2001! Some of their current custom beignets include the glazed beignet, blueberry cobbler beignet, and a few others! We ended up getting just the original Beignets (4 piece) . At the time, the Frozen Ghirardelli hot chocolate wasn't ready yet, so we ended up getting the Frozen Mint Julep and the frozen cherry lemonade. With the beignets we also purchased the [3] dipping sauces which included the creamy caramel, raspberry tang, and chocolate velvet. The beignets were fresh and hot! All of them were coated with powdered sugar! I tried all three dipping sauces. My favorite was the creamy caramel. The raspberry and chocolate was just okay. The beignets without the dipping sauce were amazing! The beignets at Beignets Expressed are noticeably thicker and more doughy than other beignets that I've had, but still really good! As a long-time OC native, I've brought my fair share of visitors to Downtown Disney and made a deliberate stop to get beignets here. They still have a line out the door, and no seating area inside just a few tables outside. But as of my last visit, the value if making this stop just isn't there anymore. They used to put in more care to making sure each beignet was cooked well, but I had a number out of the 10 I purchased that were flat and lacking the airiness that makes these more than just donuts. It also feels like a lot more of a factory just churning through the line than actually making sure each customer gets a good product. They throw a huge helping of powered sugar on top of the bag, but the effect ultimately is that many of the pieces near the bottom don't even have any sugar at all. I didn't notice this in the last, but maybe it's that they used to have more than just one big dusting to get a more consistent product? Overall it just doesn't taste as good as it used to. They also did away with the mini-beignets which I used to love, as you got more crisp and made it more shareable. Overall I'm not impressed with this last trip. I'll give it another try the next time I come, but if it's a repeat experience, then that will solidify my guess that they are now just about getting through the volume and not the quality of the treat. read more

I have to stop here EVERY TIME I go to Disneyland. A trip wouldn't be complete without burning-hot beignets from this place. Forget about beignets in the park. It's part of the experience to burn the tips of your fingers picking up your first piece after giving it a good shake in the bag to coat it in that sugary magic.
