    Large Fireballs ($15). 11/8/2025
    Sandra L.

It's been a little while since I last visited MexiCali Candy, so I wanted to jump on here with an updated review. I love the Fireballs (tamarind) from here. They are soft, chewy, and packed with flavor. While I have tried other candies and liked it, I only come back for the Fireballs because they are my favorite. Their candy was pretty pricey from what I remembered, but it has gone up and it costs $15 for the large jar and I must say, it's expensive. However, they are the only ones who make them so good, so I'll come back here and there whenever I have a huge craving. Keep in mind that they charge a $1 fee if you want to use a credit card, so bring cash if you want to avoid the fee.

Love it!! Stumbled upon this candy store! I wasn't sure what to except really. I told my husband that I want to try some candy lol Long story short, we ended up trying a couple samples, and I wanted the candy wheel. The wheel has gusherz, tamarind fireballz, strawberry beltz, watermelon patch, mango con chile, mango strawz. The gushers and tamarind are my favorite! They are so yummy. The mango is too spicy for me lol I can't handle spice though. My husband and I love the candy. We will be back sometimes sooner for more! For now, we have the candy wheel and the large mango container. That will hold us over for a while lol Service was great. She was very sweet.

Mexicali candy is the best. They have every type of candy in chamoy. Always happy to run into them at an event when they're vending but they also have a store! Def check it out for mouth watering candy. The service is great too.

The plaza has plenty of parking and houses a few other ethnic restaurants and spas, so it's very easy to get to during a Disneyland trip. Inside, there are tons of stuff from the Levant, spices, halal gummies, imported chocolates, homemade Dubai chocolate, and a huge selection of Turkish delights and roasted nuts made by them. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.
