We spontaneously came across this candy store while strolling Belmont shores and decided to stop in because I saw a sign for sour Swedish candy... and I was so excited to find out they have my favorite Swedish sour raspberry bottle candy! I've been looking for these in stores for many years since my favorite candy store closed down in NorCal! The employees were really kind to let me try a piece of candy before purchasing! Just make sure you ask them for a sample because they grab the sample for you. This is to keep the candy clean from strangers hands :) Such a nice hidden gem, especially if you're looking for any retro or Swedish sour candy. read more

Great candy store, felt like a mini museum full of candy. There are so many choices; had a blast looking through all the candy. I even found a lot of classic candy from when I was a child, like the mini mini chicles. Talk about a throwback! We found great Mexican candy as well and lots of classics like gummies and chocolates. The price is not too bad compared to other candy stores; I'd say overall we enjoyed the drive and the candy. This location has a lot of nice decor to look at, like giant bears and random paintings; like I said, a mini museum. But what makes this place great is that they hold classes. You can take a candy class here or even some baking classes where you can make your own sweet treat for about 40 bucks, I believe. I think it is a sweet deal (haha), and you get to keep all your candy you get from it. When I went, it was an hour to closing, so classes had ended. Had a free afternoon and booked an hour for my kid there online (super simple process). Serene (I hope I got her name right) was a very lovely young lady that madebus feel so welcomed. She was involved but still gave us space to do our own thing- which was a perfect balance. The place is beautiful, and activities range from simple to upgraded and complex. The candies were delicious lol I got to choose some of my fav too. My only constructive feedback for the place would be to have health & allergies related tags or sections. I do have to say it is quite pricey and I don't come very often for that reason. 18 pieces of candy was just over half a pound making it about $16 for my selection. Burger, fries and soda cup shapes and a bunch of others. It was all mix and match which was great! Super convenient that you don't have to get separate bags for each one and write down barcode numbers for each one like at other places They also have different craft nights where you can come in and make things. When I came in there was a few people in there making something. It also showed things that people made in the past like gingerbread houses and slime. But the cute gifts is where it got me. I took my nieces to do one of the candy crafts. After much debate we chose the "candy kebab". My babes are 4 & 6 so this was an easy and fun pick for us. The lady that assisted was sweet and very patient with my nieces. They're great kids but ya know kids. I didn't get to browse the candy selection as much as I would have liked but from what I saw they have some unique candies that I haven't seen before and some candies I haven't seen since I was a kid. In addition to having a wide assortment of candy to eat, they also have really cool candy art on display, both sculptures and candy-painting-combos? As part of the Stroll & Savor Belmont Shore, at the front, stood a cotton candy cart, manned by a jolly staff member, wielding the contraption to make webs of sweet delights. Adults & children alike walk about in wonder inside the shop, CANDIFIED. Great vibe, the soundtrack playing is loud & it makes you dance to its beat. Bust out YMCA and I began to dance to spell it out. So fun, the staff are positive & exude such wonderful energy. What struck me the most is the candy art up on the wall, never mind the close to life-sized jungle animals made with candy (Giraffe, elephant, lioness & a snake!). I especially loved the one made in the likeness of Frida Kahlo & Keith Haring, there's Harry Styles, Taylor Swift etc. I like variety so I swooped in for the kill at the bulk candy section. I just took a few pieces each of the sour belts & a couple of gummy worms. It's $17.95/lb thereabouts...I got $2.45 worth. I think it's purely for aesthetics but I love this new addition to the Belmont Shore scene. Be a kid in a candy store once in a while, enjoy! Was looking for a last minute place/activity to celebrate my daughter's 8th birthday. Found this place on Yelp and called them to see what they're about. The man on the phone told me that it's basically like a "Color Me Mine"-but with CANDY! Kids get to play with candy and create stuff like sushi platters and even make slime. SAY NO MORE! The staff were so welcoming, sweet and so inviting. It was refreshing to feel so genuinely welcomed. Grace assisted my daughter in making the most amazing candy sushi platter and she was just an absolute joy. Demikah, not sure I spelled his name correct, but he was so funny and charming. I really enjoyed his playlist. It took me back to the late 90's early 2000's. I did not catch the other staff members names, but all were an absolute joy.
