What an amazing place! This is a true family business, and just a ton of fun. We were visiting my sister in Long Beach, who'd planned a special trip to Candified for a Creation Station activity - but we didn't make a reservation and arrived to a closed shop. We contacted the owners and Amy replied with a passionate apology, explaining they almost never close but due to having no reservations decided to use the day to work on their Christmas displays. She offered to have us come back on another day and even open the shop early for us - then gifted us the activities for free (entirely unnecessary but so appreciated!!) When we came back they couldn't have been more kind, and we all had a blast. The kids made the geode cookies (my 5 year old was mesmerized by about 50 shades of edible glitter options!), and we browsed the incredible candy selections. The shop is well organized and carries everything your heart could desire - old fashioned and hard-to-find candies, British and Mexican specialties, crazy things like 5lb gummy bears, and even candy-themed makeup. This place is SOOO magical!! What an awesome concept! Everyone is super fun and friendly right when you walk in. The variety of candy is insane and very reasonable. They also have some super fun, creative stations for every age. Came here for the Swedish candy but the inventory was scarce. No bubs or skulls. We still got a few things but things were labeled wrong and most of what we got was hard and stale. I came across this place via a tiktok post right when I needed an idea for a mommy and son date! I was so happy that I did. My son loves anything candy. I surprised him and he was not disappointed. From the moment we walked in we were greeted kindly and treated like special guest the entire time. We selected to craft our own cookie pizza with lots of yummy candy options on top. After that we browsed the store and found cool candy we had never seen before. I got a sour pickle and my son got m&m popcorn to go! We even made his big sister a pizza as well. We've died and come to sweets Heaven. This was totally a surprise discovery for us so imagine our surprise to find candy after candy from our childhoods. They had Mallow Bars which I thought were extinct, Butter Mints, Laffy Taffy, Ice Cubes and all sorts of forgotten favorites. This shop is the cutest candy store I've ever seen. They have so many pieces of art that are made out of gummy bears. My friend and I decided to make our own sushi and it was so much fun as an adult to be included in such a fun activity. I will definitely come back with nieces and nephews to create more items. It's closer to the beginning of Belmont near the LBFD house and you can't miss it with the beautiful store front. BEWARE!!! Be CAUTIOUS of this business. It recently opened on our wonderful 2nd Street neighborhood. They posted the sign I've attached to tell you that you're being videoed by them and can be used by them. We didn't go in until it was no longer obviously clearly posted at the front door. We told the staff and owners we didn't want to go in or videoed so that's why we came in only after the sign was taken down. The owner acknowledged that many people weren't coming in because of that. SHADY owners moved the sign in the lower corner, basically hidden, and put their cotton candy machine to cover and hide it too!!! SHADY!!!! They are an OC couple too... that may fly in OC... NOT here If they are SHADY about their sign... What else are they shady at... it makes you wonder... maybe the weighting machines are tilted in THEIR favor... Go at your own risk... Amy dove in with my young boy's, just going so above and beyond. My little one is barely 2 and my other 4 and they were so sweet with them!
