They don't make custom piñatas here. The pre-made piñatas they carry is all they sell. I guess it's more of a candy store and not a party supply or decor store. Disappointed since I have hoping to get a custom made piñata. read more

At first it seemed friendly. We went to get the promo they had of spend $150 and get the 24 count of popcorn for free. I spent $170 and nobody from the staff said anything. I had to bring it up and the older cashier seemed annoyed that I did. We get a lot of kids in our area and I went here to get some candy so my aunt could get some more later (if it worked out). But unfortunately I don't think we will be going back. Nice place and nice prices but the customer service is not it. They promote but unless you call them out on it they won't honor it. Expensive store for candy. Anybody want a good price on candy. Go to DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES. Especially if your throwing a party and need candy LA is your place too go. Prives see cheap and it has twice the variety of candy. This place has nothing affordable. I've gone to many places where they sale candy and chocolate and the prices at Sam's club, costco and Walmart are better deals than this place. Never coming here again and the worst i paid with card and I was charge $0.83 and the front Courier lady had the adacity to tell me, "it's your bank that's charging you those $0.83 cents. They had a large selection of candy here, tons of different types and in bulk! The cost is cheap and the customer service is good too, especially since we asked questions about what candy they had and when they would have it by if it wasn't in stock. I went in searching for a Mario theme piñata for my niece birthday party. The employee helped me search and we didn't find any Mario theme piñata. When I was about to leave the store the employee asked me "When will the birthday party be held?" Next Sunday (I went in on a Sunday) I responded. The employee said we can order it and you can pick up the piñata on Friday. I was so happy she offered me a solution. I immediately agreed. I've been to this candy store a couple of times within the past few years. Once for my baby shower and the other for my baby's first birthday. The selection of Mexican candy is great. You can find almost anything here, however I don't think their prices are all that great. Definitely not the prices you would get in downtown LA but if you're not willing to take the trek to downtown and deal with all that madness, then this is an OK store. I agree with a previous reviewer- some candies do look like they've been on the shelf for quite some time so you kind of have to dig your way through to get good batches. They have other party supplies but the selections are limited. Overall I would recommend this candy store if you're in a rush and don't want to bother with shopping in downtown, just mainly for convenience and for their good selection of Mexican candies- three stars for me. read more

Super pricey, went in here to get pink themed candies for a baby shower.. most of the stuff look like it was sitting around for a long time, kind of stale looking. I grabbed two items that looked OK and proceed to check out, I handed the cashier $100 bill as my total was $21 and some change, she held it up and then used her magic pen to see if it was real or not, I understand that's a procedure that needs to be done with large bills and I'm perfectly OK with that, what I didn't like is she proceeded to use her magic pen two more times like she just wanted it to be fake! I then asked her would you like me to use my credit card because she seemed really annoyed with the bill, she said yes but I noticed they charge to use the credit and debit machine so I asked are you still going to charge me and she said yes so I decided to leave. There are other options in my area. I wouldn't shop here again nor would I recommend it. read more

July 30, 2018 Found this little place by way of my newest Yelp brother Junior he Yelped it and was very helpful to us. My birthday will be Aug 4th so Obama & I are having a massive party in San Diego like we did last year. The new tradition this yesr is a huge big one this is my birthday I did not think I would make it too. I have collected unicorns since I was a kid and now everything is Unicorn this and unicorn that.....so why not we are having a Unicorn birthday party. We hired a man and woman dressed in a very sexy Unicorn costume....whew whoooo! Thanks to Junior we got the 300 hot pink balloons and straws and candy and stuff. We can't wait most of the family & friends will be driving up tomorrow. read more

Great experience here today! Came in to get a pinata for a friend's birthday and some traditional Mexican candy. I don't believe the stuff is over priced like some previous reviews below, being that over head at a place like this isn't cheap (like in DTLA) you gotta sell at what will keep your doors open not what's the cheapest. I'm a small business owner myself so I understand what it's like. Also yes they do charge for credit/debit card for but so do many small businesses. The staff here was very polite and helpful, I would recommend them 100%. Candy wasn't stale/ old looking, very new. read more
