The place is more of a convenience spot if you want to avoid the drive to the downtown party district. The prices are really high. Walmart has table covers 3 or 4 bucks they are $8 here. They also charge a fee to use a debit card which I believe is not allowed on debit only credit. Honestly unless you are desperately needing something this place can be avoided. read more

I went here for my girlfriends birthday, i got a piñata, chips, candy, & 3 balloons. I had them inflate my 3 balloons with helium & they charged me $10 each balloon just to fill it up + the balloon price. Not to mention the balloon smelled like DUST. On top of that not even 12 hours later one of the balloons deflated. If you ask for a replacement they dont offer them. I dropped by in the morning to get a couple stuff for my baby girl's first birthday and was so glad to see they have shopping carts so I was able to shop comfortably. I started going here about two years ago for all my party needs, specifically piñatas. They have sooooo many options, designs, shapes, colors, and sizes. Since I'm there I always pick up candy and toys to fill the goodie bags with. Again so many options. Prices are ok, not the cheapest but also not the most expensive place to go either. Save your money and go elsewhere. The first time I came to this place I was buying candy + two piñatas. The workers would give you pricing if you ask, but service wasn't great. I ventured through the store and grabbed what I needed. When I got to the register, the lady was so sweet. She will call you mija, sweetheart, my love, and everything sweet. I thought, "here's service I'd come back for!" Well, my total came up to a little over $360. While inquiring on the floor about price range for piñatas, I was told $30 for the ones I had my eye on. When I asked about how it got to be that amount, suddenly the language barrier was put way up (she was speaking in English during checkout). What I got was the piñatas were apparently more expensive than I was told, but they don't do refunds. I tried to defend my side but we were going in circles. There's only one register and the line was insanely long behind me. I was already behind schedule for my party. I cut my losses and let it go. Still, I've given this place a few more tries. It's right down the street from me and the lady was nice enough so I gave it chances. But it's gotten worse each time. Scam practices with prices and just in general -- they are SO overpriced. If you live in LA you know there are the spots to go to for these things and this place just isn't it. Their selection of party decor is tacky, their piñatas are unreasonably expensive, and they just don't seem trustworthy. I'm writing this review now because I went for the last time yesterday. I went to thisnplace to buy some candy and 2 piñatas for a birthday party. They are over way over priced. I was quoted $25 for a number piñata and $30 for a star piñata. At checkout I was charged $288 for candy and 2 piñatas. I paid and asked for a receipt. When I checked my receipt, I was charged $130 for the start piñata. At first, I tought it was an error and asked the lady at the counter that she over charged me instead of $30 she charged me $130 for fhe start piñata. She stated that that was the correct price. I told her I would never pay that much for a piñat and she replied with that there were no refunds. I demanded my money back since this was clearly a sneaky business tactic to overcharge their customers and refuse a refund/return based on their no exchnage policy. I was told to return on Monday to speak to the manager to see if he/she could refund me, but I refused. I was not about to let this business overcharge me and get away with it so I refused and I asked them to honor the price originally quited verbally of $30 or refund me my $130. As customers where starting to wait to pay, and the line was getting longer the lady agreed to refund me the $130 for the piñata. Here attached is the start piñat I was quoted $30, but then was charged $130 at checkout stating that was their price. This is the best place to get a piñata hands down. They have a big selection of everything you can think of. They are up on things of what is popular with the kids . I had a pretty good experience for my first visit. A lot of variety and supplies to really up your party ideas. Prices were pretty competitive. We found exactly the kind of candies we wanted. There are as small as 8 packs of some candies and as much as like 8lb bags of mixed Mexican style candy. The woman at the counter was pleasant enough.
