Very unassuming in a business complex, but when walking inside, instantly transported into a luxurious boutique shop. The person helping me was so sweet and would really try to learn my preferences and gave me full size pieces to sample. Loved the Dubai chocolate flavor truffle. The texture!!! Some of the truffles I weren't wowed by, lacked a bit of mouthfeel? But others were yummy :) Service is 10/10 though!
Not only are Francium Chocolates visually appealing, they are equally as tasty. It's very rare to find a chocolate shop that makes such beautiful items that actually taste good! As soon as you walk in the doors, you know you're getting a high-end, luxury experience! I recently took my nephew, after we saw Francium on Yelp. The woman helping us was extremely helpful, and knew her chocolates. She immediately offered us samples and described all the options in great detail. We decided to splurge and bought 2 boxes with room for 9 chocolates each. Then, we each got to carefully choose from the 25 gorgeous options. They have some very unique and more traditional flavors too. It was my first time trying the Dubai chocolate, and it was stunning and absolutely delectable. I LOVE that the chocolates are made in-house, with no refined sugar and no artificial dyes. I also learned that all the chocolates are Diabetes friendly, due to the low sugar index. That is worth paying extra for and for the fact you know they are ethically sourced and made in a clean facility (that you can actually view while trying and buying). Is it possible to feel pure joy just from trying chocolate? I think so!
Fantastic chocolatier in our town! I noticed it when walking around when waiting for my vehicle to be serviced at Town Garage, Chris was so nice to help me sample a number of different bonbons and all of them were delicious.... the banana one is fantastic as the flavors are not at all overpowering and the sugar used is natural. I purchased a bag of dark chocolate balls with hazelnut after sampling one. Quite a trea. Lastly, the place has tasteful decor and it designed like a chocolate showroom. Unique and as mentioned, highly recommended to come by, taste and get your own.
European chocolates are like red wine, full bodied, rich, and an explosion of flavor, indulgent in every sense. Asian chocolates, on the other hand, tend to be lighter, less sweet, more delicate and subtle on the palate. Frenchian chocolates felt like they sat comfortably between both worlds. They were pleasant to eat, not as heavy or intensely rich as traditional Belgian chocolates, yet not bland or lacking in flavor either. The sweetness was well balanced, and the flavors were enjoyable without being overpowering. I probably would not go out of my way to purchase them again, but for those who prefer chocolates that are not too sweet or too bold in flavor, these would suit their palate well. Overall, I had a good time tasting them. Happy Valentine's Day!
WOW is all I can say!!!!!! These reviews are not kidding when they say that this is the best chocolate - I've had fancy chocolates in Switzerland and this right here beats that. I was so impressed that they let us sample their chocolates including their Dubai chocolate and any other flavors (and they give u a whole piece to sample too lol) so that we could choose exactly what we want! The packaging is so cute and each chocolate is so pretty, it makes for a fantastic gift!!!! The sugar they use is allulose from figs and jackfruit which apparently has low glycemic index! The chocolates are soooo delicious. Texture is melt in the mouth creamy. I love the ones with the harder exterior and gooey fruity goodness in the inside!! So satisfying to eat with the crunch. Highly highly recommend!!
Great little shop that makes everything in house. Came here for the viral Dubai chocolate bar for Valentine's Day and I ended up with a small box of chocolate too. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. They're known for having chocolate without any refined sugar, so you can definitely taste it. It's not as sweet as your normal chocolates. The chocolate pieces are pretty and look like little gems. If you stop by, you'll get personal service, but the downside is that you have to wait and wait while the other folks ahead of you get the personal service as if you're in a high end boutique. I'd recommend you drop on by to get a few samples and pick up a box or dessert bar.
I happened to be in the plaza when I was bringing my dog to the vet. From the outside, it looked like some jewelry shop with fancy glasses cases and displays. I tried to check them out online and saw they had Dubai chocolate bars. I tried to order it but said they were sold out. I called in to see if they had any more in stock. The lady told me yes. I just walked over and bought two Dubai bars and two packs of almond nought. Super fancy place with super fancy pricing. However, the quality of chocolate is the fanciest I have ever had in my life. Obviously I've been slumming it this whole time. Three days later, I had an aunt over and gave her a piece to try. She was amazed at how good it was. I tried to check online to see if I can order it for her but everything was sold out. Not sure if the online site is maintained or up to date but I will to call tomorrow to order for my aunt to pick up. Super high quality chocolate in a surprising location. You will not be disappointed! Thanks Francium for being so Fancy!
12/1/2024 First time at Francium Chocolate. Purchased the 9-Piece Box Chocolates on 11/27/2024. It is a mix and match where I get to choose the chocolates. The chocolate box comes with a booklet of all the bonbon chocolates. All of their chocolates are made with allulose or stevia or both. Diabetic-friendly! EARL GREY TEA GANACHE It is enrobed in dark chocolate, so I taste the Earl Grey, yet I wanted more of that tea flavor. There was more of dark chocolate ganache than Earl Grey. As a huge Earl Grey fan, I was a bit disappointed. It didn't deliver all the way. PISTACHIO KADAYIF This wasn't listed in the chocolate booklet. But it is the bonbon version of the Dubai Pistachio Kunafa chocolate bar Francium carries called Pistachio & Kadayif. They now have a bonbon version. It's creamy pistachio with crunchy phyllo dough. But it tasted like almond butter. The phyllo dough was very delightful though with an extra crispy and crunchy texture. It was not sweet at all. It was the least sweet of all the bonbons I've tried. Anyone who haven't tried it, this should be a good time to try it while they have the bonbon version available. MATCHA HOJICHA FEUILLETINE Tasted like both matcha and hojicha. However, as you taste it, the hojicha does overpower everything. The flavors become muddy too. Crunchy feuilletine was good, but I would have liked a ganache instead. Something smooth and creamy. Unfortunately, as much as I love both matcha and hojicha, this bonbon did not work. COCONUT COFFEE It is exactly what the name is. Very strong coffee with coconut flavor. There is coconut flakes on top as well. Any coffee and coconut lover would enjoy this. HAZELNUT FEUILLETINE Tasty. Deep hazelnut flavor with the feuilletine crunch. If you're a hazelnut fan, you'll love this! DARK SEA SALT Honestly, I think this was given by mistake. Don't think I asked for this one. Anyway, this was good. Rich chewy, buttery caramel enrobed in dark chocolate with sea salt on top. Pretty straight forward. DARK CAPPUCCINO Good dark chocolate. Smooth. Love the texture. At first bite you do get that cappuccino flavor. But the mixture of dark chocolate and coffee brings out a dark roasted coffee flavor. RASPBERRY ROSE LYCHEE GANACHE Hit of rose flavor and lychee. Don't remember raspberry. Smooth chocolate ganache. Well done in texture! The flavor does disappear after you finish the ganache, leaving you with a clean aftertaste. Thought the strong rose and lychee would linger a bit more. This reminded me of the popular French macaron called the Ispahan. Mystery Chocolate? There is one bonbon with a name missing. No name listed on the chocolate booklet. I realized that the picture I took of the bonbons had another row in the back and the names were hidden. The chocolate I had was milk chocolate with a caramel flavor. It was a ganache. Very good though. Samples I've had at the store: Raspberry Caramel - Strong, tart raspberry flavor and caramel. Delicious and recommend! Exotic - Got a good fruity passionfruit flavor from this bonbon. The caramel married well with the fruit flavoring. Recommend too! My favorite of all the flavors I've tried: Oddly, the samples were my favorites. The Raspberry Caramel and the Exotic bonbons were both delicious! My favorite from the 9-Piece Box was the Hazelnut Feuilletine and Dark Sea Salt. All of the bonbons were done well! What's more impressive is that all of them were made with allulose or mixed with stevia. I could not tell that they've used a different sugar alternative. Highly recommend trying them! MATCHA CRUNCH W/ MATCHA CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM BAR Good Japanese Matcha flavor. It had a light astringency. The ice cream was a mini size, but it was just enough. The outside chocolate was white chocolate with matcha and the flavor inside was the same flavor. The outer layer was also coated with rice krispies, which was a welcomed additional crunch with the chocolate layer. Everything had a beautiful crunch. Yes, the rice krispy's original crunch did change, but overall I enjoyed it. Next time will try more ice cream flavors. There were 16 flavors to try! CUSTOMER SERVICE Overall good customer service. I was greeted immediately. She was helpful in answering all my questions. PARKING / LOCATION I went during the evenings on a weekday after 5:00pm, so there were plenty of parking. Not sure what it will be like during the daytime. Located at Jamboree Plaza. As most Tustin and Irvine buildings go, their buildings are pastel grey, so it won't be the typically tacky colorful buildings we have in other parts of Southern California. There will be 76 gas station, so keep going straight past it and you will see Francium on the left. Drive slowly or you'll miss it.
had an amazing experience w francium. the owner is super knowledgeable and attentive. he explained everything from the creation process to the offered selection and let us sample before making our choices. the chocolates have such creative flavor profiles and are also beautiful! they are a bit less sweet compared to other shops (use other sweeteners such as allulose) and have more nuanced flavor. although it is definitely in the higher price range for chocolates (our box of 18 was ~70) id recommend it to everyone looking for great quality and service
Healthy. Community. Delicious. I absolutely love Francium Chocolate. Their chocolates are made with all natural ingredients and nothing artificial or bad for you. The best part? It tastes even better than your typical chocolate. And in so excited to see that they're adding other sweets & goods such as ice cream bars! The staff is INCREDIBLE. Jim is so knowledgeable and kind. He really brings together the community and I always enjoy the conversations we have. The store is in an industrial area, which makes it a hidden gem!! It's a super small interior not great for lounging around but I promise you their desserts will amaze you.
Love when my bf surprises me with these!! I can't speak on an expertise level, but you can just tell they take their craft seriously. You'll read the description of each chocolate, and once you take a bite, you can very distinctly note each flavor included. The fruit/jelly chocolates are my favorite! And the packaging is just *chefs kiss* as each chocolate is so beautifully crafted.
Went around Wed 1:30pm and it was such an intimate experience. Upon entering the cute little shop, we were greeted by Leena who is SUPER sweet and let us try quite a few samples. All the treats are made in house in their factory with zero added sugar, safe for diabetics. The Dubai chocolate was SO good (a steep $27), would get again. And we ended up trying and loving the Matcha Sesame bark and Hazelnut chocolates ($10/bag). They also have ice cream and customizable choc boxes for loved ones. And the Mochi Bar is only available on weekends and recommended to eat within 3 days
We stumbled upon this place looking for some Dubai chocolate and this did not disappoint. Interior is elegant and clean. They make beautiful chocolates and you can tell they put a lot of thought and quality into every piece of chocolate they make. The worker was genuinely so kind and helpful, she allowed us to sample some of their selections, all of which featured amazing, unique flavors. I didn't get to sample some of their more unique flavors such as their strawberry matcha truffle, but I'm already planning on returning to try more of their stuff! I really like what this business stands for: they really emphasized that their chocolates are made with allulose over cellulose, making their chocolates a better option for those with diabetes! Really cannot recommend this place enough!

Check out this unassuming, incredible neighborhood gem....and tell your friends! From the moment you walk in, the upscale ambiance sets the tone for something special. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful--knowledgeable without being pushy--and they truly make the experience feel welcoming. Everything is made onsite. The chocolates themselves are exceptional: European-quality, beautifully crafted, and absolutely delicious. Whether you're looking for a standout gift or a personal indulgence, Francium delivers! Talk about fancy/premium! Francium Chocolate is located in an unassuming building (near a veterinarian and a car wash). It is a very small shop that sells premium chocolate that is made on site. The owner is a kind Japanese lady who takes a lot of care and time to craft her chocolates. You'll find a lot of flavors that is Japanese influenced (i.e. Hojicha, Matcha, Yuzu, etc.). All of their chocolates are safe for people who are diabetic. Their chocolates are premium, tasty, and not too sweet. They are also a work of art! I love that their packaging is elegant and beautiful. Most chocolate pieces are $3 with some that are $5 a piece. They are not cheap, but I think it's worth it for a premium treat once in a while. :) The owner, Chihiro-san, helped me and my husband the day we stopped in. She was cordial and described the notes of her chocolates well. They offer samples too! If you or someone you know loves chocolates, I highly recommend checking this place out! read more
I am surprised I just found this amazing chocolate store. Plenty of parking and located in an industrial strip plaza is Francium Chocolate where chocolates are all made in-house and diabetic friendly. The service is top tier and very kind. Because it was my first time, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, they answered all of my questions, gave great recommendations, and let us try so many samples. I ended up buying a 9 piece box for $27 and the selections are amazing. The packaging is beautiful. Great chocolate location! read more

Exquisite. The chocolates are especially smooth, delectable, and beautiful. You can tell each piece is well thought out and with a wide range of flavors to select from, there is a treat for everyone. Some of my favorite milk chocolates are white peach oolong, mango jasmine, passionfruit, and berry (see picture). Adding to the sweetness of the chocolates and enjoyment of the experience was Geraldine. She was very knowledgeable, generous, and warm. She provided high caliber service that is rare to find today and she ensured I had a delightful experience. Thank you, I am very appreciative. I will be back to Francium Chocolate, soon -- with family and friends! read more

Let me start off by saying we are not chocoholics. It's a take it or leave it, couldn't care less about chocolate. But for Valentine's Day, why not try something extra special? From their personalized service, care and pride in their products, to their clean and beautiful shop (where the chocolates are made!), to their elegant boxes and presentation, and of course their exquisite chocolates, and the quality ingredients that include diabetic friendly sweetener (this is why you'll taste CHOCOLATE and NOT sugar) this is THE best chocolate we have ever had (and I used to only prefer the chocolates IN BELGIUM that I purchased directly from the chocolatiers). The gift box was hand selected by the staff. We savored every bite (either with red wine or black coffee). Our favorite was the HAZELNUT FEUILLETINE with the slight crunch of the feuilletine crisp cookie. We are fans forever and look forward to returning for Mother's Day, birthdays, and of course, Valentines. These folks deeply care for their products, their shop and their customers, down to the details. Give them your business so they'll continue to flourish and thrive. Another brilliant concept by Chef Stéphane Tréand who holds the honor of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. I will miss his former pastry concept in this location, but I am loving Francium Chocolate in a new way. With a new state of the art kitchen to make these artist sweet treats, unfortunately they can no longer have non staff come for courses with the chef. I am sad I did not take up the opportunity previously. Hopefully Chef will consider teaching at a new space in the future. Anyways, Francium Chocolate is the latest sweet gem in Tustin. Upon entering there were cases of chocolate wonders and in the corner, a glorious showpiece made with artistic chocolate modeling by Chef. So glorious. I was kindly welcomed by Jim who offered me generous samplings. I felt so guilty sampling so many tasty pieces of chocolates but he insisted. He also showed me a sneak peak of a fancy chocolate box protocol for the upcoming Lunar New Year. And I also hear that Chef's next chocolate show piece will be a dragon. Too cool! Anyways, with Jim's amazing guidance and advise, I got a box of 9 chocolates. They were all $3/each so a box of 9 was $27. They also had boxes of 2 chocolates, that would make good for party favors. I tried so many delicious chocolates and I enjoyed most of them. Some standouts was early grey and yuzu. I ate the whole box by myself within a week. Indulged! Jim was telling me all of the chocolates were naturally sweetened so they are diabetic friendly. Definite "not too sweet". What a gem of a place! Their bonbons, barks, and specialty chocolates like Dubai and matcha were all fantastic. What I love is that they use allulose instead of sugar so that these chocolates are diabetic friendly. My favorites were the fruity flavors like the exotic and raspberry. The co-owner who helped us was very generous at letting us try samples and gave us good recommendations based on our preferences. read more

It's the holidays, so I was in search of a Christmas gift for my old man who is near impossible to shop for. Thankfully my wife discovered Francium Chocolate and introduced me to their exquisite chocolate offerings. After my first try, I daresay it might possibly be the best premium chocolate I've ever tasted! Francium Chocolate is located in a strip mall off Edinger Avenue near Jamboree in Tustin. It also happens to be adjacent to the Tustin MetroLink Station. I was greeted by Chihiro, who runs the business with her French husband. She was very friendly and patient, and I learned from her that they don't add any sugar to the making of their chocolates. Each individual item is also carefully curated and expertly handcrafted! I picked up a few gift sits, including a custom selection of 9 BonBons, and a bag of Milk Chocolate Almond Clusters. I also appreciate that Francium uses high-end gift boxes, packaging and bags to carry forth their premium presentation. I paid a pretty penny for these gifts but at the end of the day, shouldn't we all treat our parents for everything they have sacrificed for us? The chocolate offerings at this shop are quite impressive. A standout item is the hazelnut chocolate bar, priced around $30, which I found to be my favorite. Although I initially went in to try the pistachio flavor, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the hazelnut. An interesting aspect of the chocolate bar, as explained by the sales clerk, is that it contains knaffeh, a traditional Middle Eastern dessert consisting of filo dough giving it a crispy texture.In addition to the chocolate bar, I sampled the bon bons, which were decent, and I also tried the pistachio ice cream. The ice cream portion was small and also included knaffeh, but I personally didn't find the combination of flavors in their pistachio ice cream bar to be particularly appealing. The shop itself has a pleasant and clean ambiance, set in a cozy space within a business plaza. Overall, it's a charming place to explore unique chocolate flavors. read more
I had the most amazing experience here! First of all, this place is like a jewelry store of chocolate. Everything is so nicely displayed and the store just feels so fancy. Second, the service is top tier! The gentleman helping me was the sweetest; he explained so much and took his time helping me choose what I like. You can tell he was passionate about his business. Third, this is high quality, clean chocolate. You can taste the difference from your average grocery store junk that's mainly butter and sugar. The flavors were very unique, ranging from exotic flavors, like passionfruit, to more familiar flavors, like salted caramel. I was weary about some of the flavor combinations, but everything tasted delightful, and the bonbons were so pretty! If you want to feel like Willy Wonka at the Chocolate Factory, this is the place to be. It truly is an experience. A 10/10 experience and place!!!! An absolutely gem in OC. I was looking for a place to pick up some chocolates as a gift and found this place. From the pictures, it seemed pretty good so I had to check it out. The place is pretty hidden between some office buildings but I'm so happy it exists. Going in, the smell of chocolate just hit me and I was sold already haha. It smelled divine in there. I believe it was Jim who helped us and he was wonderful. He was so patient with us as we tried the different types they had and was so informative on what was in each piece. We felt bad asking to try those couple but he was more than open to keep letting us try some! One thing that surprised me was how all of them were pretty much diabetic friendly! Some he mentioned had no added sugar and that surprised me because I literally wouldn't have been able to tell because they were so tasty. The flavors were super unique. I tried a dark chocolate one with strawberry filling and it was good! It had a hint of fruitiness and the chocolate wasn't super overpowering. I also tried the regular dark chocolate and wow. Had a great bitter taste to it and I really enjoyed it. The hazelnut one was definitely the star. We were obsessed with it and had to pick up half a dozen of that one!! He even gave us two more for the road!!! Such amazing service. We also ended up picking up a box of 12 pre packed chocolates as a gift and it the person we gifted it to loved it! This is a new gem in Orange County. This former pastry school led by a top pastry chef and chocolatier from France is now a co-owned chocolate kitchen. The best part, they use natural sweeteners resulting in a glycemic index of seven (for comparison lettuce is usually 10). How on Earth is delicious chocolate coming in lower than lettuce? Let Jim, the co-owner, tell you as you try the amazing samples. Some especially addictive flavors to try include: orange rind dipped chocolate, hazelnut chocolate bark and the banana passion fruit truffle. They just opened two weeks ago. I came across the local South O.C. business 'Francium Chocolate,' was from attending their event with Fresh, South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, CA. I met the owner when we had their Chocolate Tasting and Champagne Tasting Event on May/10/24. Their main shop is located in the 'City of Tustin,' CA. Gotta love their packaging!!!! We were buying promotions from Francium Chocolates since we got to taste their famous flavors such as hazelnut, gummie filled chocolates and many other flavors. I have a serious sweet tooth addiction, and let me tell you this place literally has one of the BEST chocolates I've ever had! You could name all the chocolates shops out there and I can definitely say 95%. I've tried it all. I'm usually not a fan of milk chocolate - dark chocolate is the way to my heart. francium chocolates, milk or dark is SUPER GOOD. PLEASE GET THEIR DUBAI CHOCOLATE. Visited on Saturday with my family, I asked about the net carbs because although everything is sweetened with allulose I still wanted to make sure to know what proper serving sizes would be as a diabetic. After asking the sales associate they went to the back and out came Jim. He generously gave myself and my family ample samples to try and I got to taste all the flavors I was curious about. He and his staff are super friendly and he asked us about how the tastes were and if we had any suggestions for improvement. Honestly I thought everything we tasted was well balanced and didn't have any critique and myself and my family went home with a good variety of chocolates. I only wish I lived closer to this store, but it is completely worth the drive. I checked my blood sugar when I got home, about 1.5 hours later and they were well in the normal range so they did not spike my blood sugar at all. Thank you so much Francium for making delicious chocolates that use allulose and are safe for diabetics. I wish I took more pictures inside but attached is the variety I got. My family bought more flavors and even ice creams while we were in the shop. read more
