I came here with my brother on a Monday after lunch. I wasn't planning on getting anything, but then I saw the almond croissant. When I ordered, the cashier asked me if I wanted it warmed up. I said yes, and less than a minute later, I had a warm almond croissant in hand. Up close, I realized that this was my first almond croissant with slivers instead of slices. It might seem like a small difference, but these bigger pieces added a lot more texture. The croissant was also sweeter than I expected, making me think that they use extra syrup. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail, and I genuinely want to come back to try the Kouign Amann. Now, you're probably wondering why I'm giving a cafe 5 stars without even drinking their coffee... they had excellent service! My brother's drink came out within 10 minutes, but the server apologized as if it had taken much longer. Both were OK but unsure they were worth the ~$10 price tag. Coffee(1 out of 5) - ordered the "Best Drink Ever - Banana Cream Latte. Or should I say Sugar Milk with a splash of coffee. Vanilla flavor was overwhelming and sweet with a hint of banana. Reminds me of a sugary drink you get at Dutch Bros but for slightly cheaper. Really glad I didn't get the large. Ambiance (1 out of 5) - and this is the whole reason I'm even doing this review. Its large spacious with nice chairs and plenty of outlets for getting some work done. However it's all ruined by music playing at what feel like max volume. I could not hear myself think. I put in noise canceling headphones and still could hear the music. I pulled my laptop out for 5 minutes before packing back up. They had an nice outdoor area and figured I might get a break from the music. WRONG! Their patio area also had the music blasting like inside. I've never been to a coffee shop that felt like it was actively trying to get me to leave. Tried Conscious Chocolate Smoothie; should be called Banana smoothie with a hint of chocolate. The taste wasn't what was expected from its name. The smoothie was fine though, until half way when it was a bunch of chunks of crushed ice. Tasted like I was drinking a blended drinks, not a smoothie. I few weeks ago, I was ordering at the drive thru and met with attitude their tone sounded like they were miserable. That's disappointing. Another instance, I was given my drink at the drive thru and there was ZERO interaction, I was just given my drink and nothing....though I always make it a habit to to say "Thank You, have a good day" I was met with nothing. Had a great experience and a super yummy drink from this Better Buzz location. It was my first time trying this chain, but the drive-thru worker was very friendly, patient, and helpful as I tried to decide on what I wanted to order. I went with the Iced Pumpkin Pie Best Drink Ever, which is an americano with vanilla and pumpkin pie cold foam. It had a great balance of espresso and pumpkin flavor and I really enjoyed it! I did get it half-sweet and felt it was still a little sweet for my tastes, so keep that in mind if you don't like your coffee super sweet. My most beloved better buzz that immediately became my post workout weekend treat (and a girl do deserve a treat) as soon as they opened. I like this location better than the one closer to my house because the staff here is just top notch. They always get it right. No shade but the imperial location has twice used all my rewards points and then been like "whoops I can't undo it" and its not like im going to call corporate and complain about losing my rewards but what the heck!! I also really like the outdoor seating here, the mobile pick up counter is super convenient, and the hot food and pastries have been delicious every time. And boy am I a sucker for cold foam :9 :9 :9 Also my favorite thing is to get a best drink ever. The sticker code for it is BDE. I like to peel the sticker off my drink and put it on my dog and call her the Best Dog Ever. And their pup cups come with little milk bones! read more

Better Buzzed Fullerton has been one of my frequent coffee shops since they've opened and I've always had good experiences here with their service and food/drinks. This review is mostly to talk about my experience here on Wednesday, 8/26. I came here this morning at around 6:40am. I normally order my drinks ahead of time on the app so I can easily pick it up at the pickup area without any wait. I got a text at 6:32am that my order is ready for pickup at the pickup station so I came here around 6:40am to pick it up. My order wasn't there so my first reaction is to ask the workers about it. This wasn't the first time that's happened where I would get the text and my order is actually not ready which is whatever, not a big deal. There was 3 workers at the time behind the station; one doing the drive-thru, one making the drinks, and one doing the food/bakery items. The closest worker to me to ask was the one making the drinks. I said "excuse me?" to her to try to ask, but she was really rude because she didn't acknowledge me, didn't even look up, and after standing there for 2 mins, she just blatantly said "it's not ready" in a demeaning tone. First of all, you don't even know which one is my order because you never asked for my name. Second of all, I got a text saying my order is ready, so I wanted to ask to see if there's anything wrong with my order. I get that it's a Wednesday morning at 6:40am; sometimes I'm not in a good mood either in the mornings but her tone/rudeness rubbed me off in the wrong way. I don't believe I said or did anything that she didn't even bother giving the time of day with a customer. I responded back to her saying that I had received a text that my order was ready and she straight up ignored me. The other girl doing the bakery goods had to ask what my name was, which she checked what the status of my order was. I'm not normally one to complain/write a bad review based off one interaction, and I still believe this is one of my favorite coffee place in the area and is convenient to me to go to. I've had great experiences with the service here ever since they've opened and I don't think one bad day should dictate their amazing food/drinks. However, whoever this worker is, I just want her to know that I'm not happy with her interaction. read more

Came in with some friends for the first time. Got a nice selection of food, pastries, as well as coffee. I appreciate the coffee selection that have some options that makes it stand out from the rest of the coffee shops. Service was a bit slow, but my biggest complaint would have to be the condition of the establishment. White tickets of drink orders are scattered all at the front door and the trashcan was overflowing the entire time we were there and we sat for about 45 minutes. I went to the Fullerton location and it was my first at Butter Buzz. The customer service was amazing, the cashier/ barista was super friendly and sweet. All the baristas were amazing. Looks like a fairly new location. Free standing building with plenty of seating. I was welcomed by multiple workers as I entered. Friendly. The time from order to receiving my drink was quick, almost too quick for a latte. =) The drink (plain hot latte made with whole milk) itself is solid...tasted a little watery tho. The cashier (older dude so I think might be the owner), was nonchalant asf and gave me this weird look when I didn't order a large. He basically shooed me off after telling him my order. I've been coming to Better Buzz since this location opened, and we've always loved the coffee and food. Unfortunately, my experience this past Sunday was disappointing. My cousin and I went through the drive-thru with no line and asked to place two separate orders so we could each use our own rewards points. Heather repeatedly told us we could just pay each other with zelle instead and was very adamant about not being allowed to do a separate order in drive through, she even suggests we place mobile orders and come inside to pick up or again just pay each other back. If separate orders aren't allowed in the drive-thru, we completely understand, but that should be clearly communicated as a policy. What was most disappointing was the customer service and how the situation was handled. We've always had a great experience here before, so this was definitely unexpected. read more

Stumbled upon Better Buzz on the way home and decided to stop in for an afternoon pick-me-up -- so glad I did! I'd heard the banana coffee was a must-try and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Sweet but not overdone, a natural hint of banana without any artificial taste, and the cold foam on top was fluffy and heavenly. We also tried the Cinnamon Pistachio from their new seasonal menu and that was another hit -- a perfect blend of flavors that somehow avoids that fake sweetener taste you find elsewhere. What really made the visit was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly and happy to share their personal favorites to help us narrow things down. That kind of enthusiasm goes a long way. I've been wanting to try Better Buzz for a while and was eating near by so stopped by for a coffee for the drive home. This location is amazing, near the 91 freeway entrance and large, clean and very cozy to enjoy your drink alone or with friends. The menu is expansive. There is something for everyone here. I decided to start at the top with the Best Drink Ever. An Americano with their signature creamy vanilla added. Shuttle, not too sweet and coffee forward... which is always my preference. I'm here for the beans not the diabetes. The list is large of specialty drinks, so many directions you can go. Also a nice selection of teas, smoothie and even açaí bowls. So I will be back to try more. They also had some food options that looked good and a great assortment of pastries. Unfortunately I just had a large dinner so I will have to be hungry next time I drive through. The staff was well versed in the menu and provided some recommendations. They were very busy and the lobby was packed. But the staff remained chipper. Service moved pretty fast overall, and the staff outside were helpful, they even recommended adding cinnamon foam, which I appreciated. I ordered a Horchata Iced Latte and a Vanilla Bean Latte. The horchata was good, though nothing too crazy. The cinnamon foam definitely helped elevate it. The vanilla bean latte, on the other hand, tasted pretty bitter and just okay in my opinion. It felt like they might've been rushing due to how busy it was. That said, they do have a huge variety of drinks, so I'm open to giving it another try down the road. Better Buzz is one of my favorite coffee spots when I'm in the San Diego area, and I'm glad they opened a new one up in Anaheim! This place took over the old KFC building, but you would never know it. It's surrounded by a large (though busy) parking lot, so I had no trouble finding a nearby spot to park and walk in. The whole place has been renovated and remodeled and it looks great. They had a drive thru, but I walked in to take a look around. It's bright and airy despite the industrial look, and the staff is cheery and attentive. My food and drinks were ready before I even finished paying! My +1 and I both got the cinnamon cold brew coffee. It was strong and delicious. We also got an avocado toast and ham and cheese croissant (with egg added) and were satisfied. Everything tasted fresh, and though it wasn't cheap, it was a nice treat. This place is a guilty pleasure we'll probably end up enjoying more often than we should. read more

First time coming in, was excited to try their drinks. Ended up trying a smoothie, Pink Dragon with pitaya, strawberries, banana, apple juice, bee pollen. I waited 15min for my drink... had to ask someone to check on the order for me as that seemed like too long of a time. Looked like they had forgotten about it. I then watched the gentleman who was handling the food orders slowly walk over to obtain ice, no sense of urgency for an order that was now overdue. At this point, I wanted my money back, but I waited, received my order 5min later and said nothing. I gave it to my husband though- so it didn't go to waste. The avocado toast was lacking. I was disappointed in this overall. The bread was soggy. The avocado tasted like it was the little containers of premade avocado spread that they sell at the grocery store. Not real avocado, just the weirs tasting spread. That killed it for me. How are you going to sell avocado toast and not have really avocado??? Come on now. I ordered the Feta Avocado Deluxe Toast with extra Grape Tomato, extra Feta Cheese, added Salt & Pepper, and added balsamic dressing. I wouldn't order that again. My husband got a ham and cheese breakfast sandwich and loved it. He enjoyed his coffee too. He got a hot coffee, black. He enjoyed the roast. Better Buzz was a win for my husband. Better Buzz Coffee quickly became my new favorite. You can't go wrong with almost any coffee item on the menu. They all taste delicious - never too sweet or too bitter. Not gonna lie, their coffees *are* a little pricey. Unlike Starbucks, they do charge for other milk alternatives. We always spend at least $16 for 2 specialty lattes, which feels like a lot for coffee. This is why I give 4 stars. I might change it to 5 if they stop charging extra for oat milk.
