The coffee and atmosphere were fine, but it was uncomfortable to witness what appeared to be poor treatment of employees. The manager (I assume it's the manager) (Short asian man) spoke to staff in a way that seemed disrespectful and created a tense environment. Customer service is important, but so is treating employees with professionalism and respect, being treated poorly is obviously going to affect the employees customer service, come on we're all human and have feelings. I witnessed him getting visibly angry with employees over drive-thru window times, speaking to them in a way that felt disrespectful and unnecessary. The staff appeared to be working hard, yet were met with frustration instead of support. A busy rush is not an excuse to treat employees poorly. Watching the interaction created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made me feel bad for the staff. Management should be focused on leading the team, not taking out stress on employees. Going into a coffee shop I enjoy to see the employees enjoy themselves and their job having a good time working alongside their coworkers. I hope this isn't a daily occurrence for the employees. Looks like a fairly new location. Free standing building with plenty of seating. I was welcomed by multiple workers as I entered. Friendly. The time from order to receiving my drink was quick, almost too quick for a latte. =) The drink (plain hot latte made with whole milk) itself is solid...tasted a little watery tho. This is the 3rd time this place has messed up our very overpriced order and I'm sad to say we will not be coming back. We ordered extra toasted avo toast... received raw bread. Then paid extra for double eggs and double meat in our croissant and got even less than usual. American coffee concoctions. If you just get a regular cup of coffee, it's still pretty good. I can't speak for the interior service, but drive through was spot on. Sat in the car, told the speaker what I wanted, and about 30 mins later, I got my coffee. It wasn't even a busy Saturday. Will come back during the weekday and give it another try inside. The snacks look great. I'm thinking it's more deserving of stars even though my drive thru experience sucked balls. read more

Stumbled upon Better Buzz on the way home and decided to stop in for an afternoon pick-me-up -- so glad I did! I'd heard the banana coffee was a must-try and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Sweet but not overdone, a natural hint of banana without any artificial taste, and the cold foam on top was fluffy and heavenly. We also tried the Cinnamon Pistachio from their new seasonal menu and that was another hit -- a perfect blend of flavors that somehow avoids that fake sweetener taste you find elsewhere. What really made the visit was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly and happy to share their personal favorites to help us narrow things down. That kind of enthusiasm goes a long way. This is a month old review. We want it to try this place as we pass by it many time and now they have banana flavor. We ordered drive thru so I didn't get to experience the food inside. We order the banana matcha flavor and coconut flavor latte. The drink was alright, the matcha is light in color which usually indicates lower grade matcha and the banana is lacking flavor. The coconut taste more like a vanilla latte than coconut. Drink deserve 3 stars, but we would come back to check out the food next time. read more

First time coming in, was excited to try their drinks. Ended up trying a smoothie, Pink Dragon with pitaya, strawberries, banana, apple juice, bee pollen. I waited 15min for my drink... had to ask someone to check on the order for me as that seemed like too long of a time. Looked like they had forgotten about it. I then watched the gentleman who was handling the food orders slowly walk over to obtain ice, no sense of urgency for an order that was now overdue. At this point, I wanted my money back, but I waited, received my order 5min later and said nothing. I've been wanting to try Better Buzz for a while and was eating near by so stopped by for a coffee for the drive home. This location is amazing, near the 91 freeway entrance and large, clean and very cozy to enjoy your drink alone or with friends. The menu is expansive. There is something for everyone here. I decided to start at the top with the Best Drink Ever. An Americano with their signature creamy vanilla added. Shuttle, not too sweet and coffee forward... which is always my preference. I'm here for the beans not the diabetes. The list is large of specialty drinks, so many directions you can go. Also a nice selection of teas, smoothie and even açaí bowls. So I will be back to try more. They also had some food options that looked good and a great assortment of pastries. Unfortunately I just had a large dinner so I will have to be hungry next time I drive through. The staff was well versed in the menu and provided some recommendations. They were very busy and the lobby was packed. But the staff remained chipper. I usually head over to Philz in Fullerton, but I decided to try this place out since it's right by my home. The second I ordered my drink and tasted it, I knew i had just wasted $7 on a drink I can't even drink because they added about an inch of cinnamon, nutmeg, etc "spices". So I just got up to pay $7 for a drink I cannot swallow without feeling all these grainy bits of seasoning. If you want gritty bitter coffee order the Moroccan spice iced coffee! Just because it has "seasoning" in it, you don't dump a tablespoon of each spice into a regular drink. read more

Went through the drive-thru on a busy day and decided to stick it out since the line was packed and expectations were high. Service moved pretty fast overall, and the staff outside were helpful, they even recommended adding cinnamon foam, which I appreciated. I ordered a Horchata Iced Latte and a Vanilla Bean Latte. The horchata was good, though nothing too crazy. The cinnamon foam definitely helped elevate it. The vanilla bean latte, on the other hand, tasted pretty bitter and just okay in my opinion. It felt like they might've been rushing due to how busy it was. That said, they do have a huge variety of drinks, so I'm open to giving it another try down the road. My friend got a text that today is banana day that and they were giving away a free banana cold foam drink if you were a banana gear on banana today. I have a banana bread business myself, so I am all about bananas, yellow, and banana gear. So, naturally, we took a little drive from Redondo to Fullerton. I enjoyed this spot. The interior is very nice and extremely spacious. There's plenty of seating and it's a nice aesthetic. The girl who helped me was really nice, and when I had a question about adjustments she helped out a lot! Better Buzz is one of my favorite coffee spots when I'm in the San Diego area, and I'm glad they opened a new one up in Anaheim! This place took over the old KFC building, but you would never know it. It's surrounded by a large (though busy) parking lot, so I had no trouble finding a nearby spot to park and walk in. The whole place has been renovated and remodeled and it looks great. They had a drive thru, but I walked in to take a look around. It's bright and airy despite the industrial look, and the staff is cheery and attentive. My food and drinks were ready before I even finished paying! My +1 and I both got the cinnamon cold brew coffee. It was strong and delicious. We also got an avocado toast and ham and cheese croissant (with egg added) and were satisfied. Everything tasted fresh, and though it wasn't cheap, it was a nice treat. This place is a guilty pleasure we'll probably end up enjoying more often than we should. read more

I got a large size with 1/2 caffeine and 3/4 sweet, light ice and added cinnamon cold cream. The Snickerdoodle Latte was way too strong for me to even drink. I gave it to my husband though- so it didn't go to waste. The avocado toast was lacking. I was disappointed in this overall. The bread was soggy. The avocado tasted like it was the little containers of premade avocado spread that they sell at the grocery store. Not real avocado, just the weirs tasting spread. That killed it for me. How are you going to sell avocado toast and not have really avocado??? Come on now. I ordered the Feta Avocado Deluxe Toast with extra Grape Tomato, extra Feta Cheese, added Salt & Pepper, and added balsamic dressing. I wouldn't order that again. My husband got a ham and cheese breakfast sandwich and loved it. He enjoyed his coffee too. He got a hot coffee, black. He enjoyed the roast. Better Buzz was a win for my husband. Better Buzz Coffee quickly became my new favorite. You can't go wrong with almost any coffee item on the menu. They all taste delicious - never too sweet or too bitter. Not gonna lie, their coffees *are* a little pricey. Unlike Starbucks, they do charge for other milk alternatives. We always spend at least $16 for 2 specialty lattes, which feels like a lot for coffee. This is why I give 4 stars. I might change it to 5 if they stop charging extra for oat milk. BEST DRINK EVER: This is my favorite drink whenever I visit a better buzz in San Diego. It is a classic americano and signature creamy vanilla. I usually get it iced, but you can get it hot as well. The lady who took me order in the drive through told me about their seasonal drinks which included the banana matcha. I asked her if there was dairy and she said no. I got my order after leaving the drive through, took a sip and instantly thought the cold foam had dairy. I then called the store thinking maybe there was a mix up and they accidentally added the wrong type of cold foam. the lady who answered also said that it was no dairy. When I then asked her for a breakdown of what the cold foam was made up of, she said "non dairy milk powder which is mixed up with heavy cream and milk...so it can't be fully non dairy" this is a serious concern! Thankfully I'm just lactose intolerant and not allergic to dairy. The lady on the phone did say they'll have a talk with the girl in the drive through and offered me a free drink but I declined. Nice gesture but I'm just concerned about the negligence. Could totally turn into a lawsuit with the wrong customer. read more

I didn't get much time to check out the menu and it all felt very rushed. Offering cold foam is nice but please tell us it's extra up front. This place has become a new obsession for my husband and I, we tried it for the first time last month and now have been back here almost weekly. The Best Drink Ever is delicious, I love the caramel vanilla one, it's not too sweet and not too bitter, and they give just the right amount of ice. I used to live in Starbucks but these guys have easily become my new favorite. The pastries are amazing too! Service is always super friendly and helpful, and the inside is clean, comfortable, and has a great playlist for just relaxing in the vibes. It's never too loud the few times we've come in. Was here during lunch time 1 pm. We we headed to Lotteria (Korean burger joint) originally, in same plaza and saw a line so decided not to go. That's how we found Better Buzz Coffee. What we ordered ~ Deluxe OG Acai bowl was good. I noticed it looks like they don't make the actual acai part of the bowl fresh meaning right than. It was a bit frozen but they add the toppings on fresh. The acai part was good along with the bowl itself. ~ Feta avocado Toast was yummy. Wished it came with an egg but it was still good and yummy. ~ Hazelnut Divinity w oat milk topped Vanilla cold foam is a great drink. Really creamy. Got it 50% sweetness. The drink per associate is pretty sweet. So i Adjusted the sweetness. My 1st time having their drink n it's legit good. Associate was nice & got our items in a timely manner. They said they've been open since December of 2024. Still shock i was never aware as i request Fullerton to visit my in laws occasionally and I'm always on Harbor Blvd. Lots of parking in the plaza. To start off, both the inside and the drive thru were busy! But the service was still quick, inviting, and satisfying! We met a friendly cashier who was more than happy to recommend his favorite drinks, so that's what me and my friend got :) I wish I could remember his name, he was so nice and friendly. We also got a banana loaf, and the Nutella croissant. Both were delicious and a perfect match for our drinks. I'm happy that I finally stopped by! I loved the vibe inside too, not super packed, but busy enough to encourage you to chill and enjoy your coffee there. Plenty of seating, of all types too!
