Staff were pretty quick in getting out our drinks despiste the rush, but we did wait a bit for the Açaí Bowl. The staff here are attentive and do try their best to expedite the orders as quick as they can, so give them grace. Sundays are really busy, so not too surprised, since there were plenty of students and family's at this location. There is ample parking, a drive through, and a little patio outdoors. read more

The hexagon tiling and yellow, black, and white color arrangement keeps aligned with a beehive themed design. This location offers both indoor and outdoor patio seating. Their menu offers handcrafted coffee, cold brew, teas, espressos, smoothies, and food (bowls, sandwiches, pastries, wraps, and toasts). With just trying their signature "Best Drink Ever" (Americano with their house creamy vanilla - $5.79), I already became a fan. They make my top 3 fave coffee spots for me. First impressions: it's very big and clean inside with plenty of seating and the decor was cute with lots of neon lights and a very cozy vibe. They play on the word "Buzz" everywhere, and I loved it - very clever. They also have a drive thru for those on the go! They had a nice selection of food and drinks available. I asked for a drink recommendation and the cashier said the "Best Drink Ever" line was very popular, which starts with an espresso base and they use a vanilla powder to make it sweet and creamy. Makes me think of what Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf does. So I ordered the Coconut Best Drink Ever, as well as a seasonal pop tart (apple), and a kouign Amann. This location is big, beautiful and a bit glamorous unlike their more chill and beach vibes in their San Diego locations. I love this decor as well ! The bathroom (code needed) was beautiful. I got the regular iced hazelnut latte (one pump) with oatmilk. It was perfect : exactly how I wanted ! They have breakfast and pastries and they looked delicious. Service was fine. The Best Drink Ever is delicious, I love the caramel vanilla one, it's not too sweet and not too bitter, and they give just the right amount of ice. I used to live in Starbucks but these guys have easily become my new favorite. The pastries are amazing too! The lady who took me order in the drive through told me about their seasonal drinks which included the banana matcha. I asked her if there was dairy and she said no. I got my order after leaving the drive through, took a sip and instantly thought the cold foam had dairy. I then called the store thinking maybe there was a mix up and they accidentally added the wrong type of cold foam. the lady who answered also said that it was no dairy. When I then asked her for a breakdown of what the cold foam was made up of, she said "non dairy milk powder which is mixed up with heavy cream and milk...so it can't be fully non dairy" this is a serious concern! Thankfully I'm just lactose intolerant and not allergic to dairy. The lady on the phone did say they'll have a talk with the girl in the drive through and offered me a free drink but I declined. Nice gesture but I'm just concerned about the negligence. Could totally turn into a lawsuit with the wrong customer. read more

I've heard nothing but great things about this chain and I was surprised to see this location open up so close to my house. We finally decided to check it out and honestly I'm a bit let down. I'll start with the positives. The location itself is cute with tons of natural light and plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. They also have a drive through which might be convenient for those on the go. The service was pretty friendly and everything came out very fast. The drinks and food are where things went downhill for me. The Coconut Best Drink Ever was good, but not standout compared to other coffee spots nearby. The matcha my partner ordered was scary: watery and lacking in any real flavor. My Chili Crunch Brekafast Wrap was average at best, and the Turkey Pesto didn't seem any better either. After being told how good it was, this wasn't a great first impression (especially for the price which almost ran me $20 for a coffee and wrap). I could see this being a convenient Starbucks-esque stop, but there are absolutely better coffee and food joints just a short drive down the street. read more

This one had feta cheese, microgreens, grape tomatoes and a balsamic sauce on top. Iced morrocan iced coffee: this was a spicy iced coffee with a hint of cardamom and cinnamon. Amazing! I have to admit, I think I judged this place a little bit too early when it had just opened. Now that they're a little bit more settled and the hype has died in, the experience here is so different, especially for studying and working! I came here today and was able to get a few good hours of work, and it was actually such a wonderful experience because of all the outlets and the seating availability. There's also water on tap and ice water available upon request. Wi-Fi is a little bit slow but good enough to get some work done. I got the Best Drink Ever this time, which didn't blow my mind, but was fairly good and did the job. My friend and I actually stayed all the way until closing, which I felt really bad about since they were hard at work completing the last few orders in the drive-through. I felt especially bad putting in a last-minute order a little bit before closing, but the barista at the counter (Juju is her name I think?) still served us with a smile. THANK YOU! As someone who has worked closing in the past for another café, I was very surprised at the wonderful service that we still received even at the end of the night. The coffee and atmosphere were fine, but it was uncomfortable to witness what appeared to be poor treatment of employees. The manager (I assume it's the manager) (Short asian man) spoke to staff in a way that seemed disrespectful and created a tense environment. Customer service is important, but so is treating employees with professionalism and respect, being treated poorly is obviously going to affect the employees customer service, come on we're all human and have feelings. I witnessed him getting visibly angry with employees over drive-thru window times, speaking to them in a way that felt disrespectful and unnecessary. The staff appeared to be working hard, yet were met with frustration instead of support. A busy rush is not an excuse to treat employees poorly. Watching the interaction created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made me feel bad for the staff. Management should be focused on leading the team, not taking out stress on employees. Going into a coffee shop I enjoy to see the employees enjoy themselves and their job having a good time working alongside their coworkers. I hope this isn't a daily occurrence for the employees. My best friend and I stopped here to try it, we both have never been. I was a bit hungry and we both wanted some coffee. Lily took our order and since it was our first time we really didn't know what to order haha. But i got the Avocado toast which honestly wasn't that good to me lol, even though Lily recommended it I didn't enjoy it that much so sorry :( But the coffee was pretty good, I ordered the coconut matcha but I didn't love the taste the color was so beautiful though. My friend got it exchanged for me she ordered the Caramel Vanilla which was my first choice but wanted to try something new. She took it back for me cause I felt bad lol, and got me the Caramel Vanilla which was pretty good little sweet but good. The parking lot is pretty big, little cramped but fine. Inside of the place is big and lots of places to sit, they have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside for a bit while I ate my avocado toast and drank our coffee's such a beautiful day to sit outside. It was also pretty busy too, but they for our order pretty quick. This review is based on my first drive-thru visit to Better Buzz Coffee. Their bold, vibrant branding caught my eye--it's loud in a good way. I was torn between two drinks, and the cashier helpfully described both and answered my questions. I ended up ordering the mint-infused iced coffee. When I got my drink, the sticker on top didn't match what I ordered, and the taste was off--spicy, like clove or nutmeg. Turns out, it was someone else's drink. Luckily, I was still in the lot, so I popped inside and showed the baristas. While explaining, I spotted my actual drink at the drive-thru window and was able to grab it before another mix-up. They let me keep both drinks. The mint coffee was light on sweetness and mint, with a creamy top that mellowed out the espresso--smooth and balanced. The mistaken oat horchata latte was cinnamon-heavy and kind of watery for a latte, but not too sweet. Between the two, I preferred the mint. Overall, I like the vibe here--it's a fun alternative to Starbucks. Their food menu looked solid too, so I'll be back to try the dine-in experience. read more

WEIRD experience. I usually like Better Buzz, so I don't know if they changed their customer service lately, but the drive thru lady tried to upsell us on EVERYTHING. She wasn't even very friendly, very monotonous, but she KEPT asking if we wanted food, pastries, to add avocado, if we wanted a large, etc. It was really annoying, especially when I knew what I wanted. I said NO to the large americano, she charged me for a large anyway. But by the time I noticed I wasn't going to ask for a refund. There wasn't nearly enough ice in there so I just had an incredibly watered down drink.. I ended up saying yes to adding avocado on my chili crunch because she said it's "the most popular way to enjoy it" and it was TWO DOLLARS for the tiniest bit of mashed up avocado in a dinky little solo cup. Also, see photo, it's literally called a chili crunch wrap and I see NO chili crunch. I dug around and could not for the life of me see any sign of chili crunch save for one flake. I also always ask for cinnamon cream cold brew half sweet and she had the strangest push back saying it's already less sweet and so I ended up just saying fine I'll have it as it comes.. The caprese sandwich bread is horrible. It's over toasted and hard on the edges (same for my chili crunch wrap tortilla). And it was fully heated so I had soggy tomato and the saddest amount of arugula. read more

The food is good, I got the new chili jam sausage croissant and it was fresh and crispy. Really good!! I haven't had anything to truly disappoint me on food, the quality is consistent. But I will say a little pricey for the amount you receive. Service was ok. It could definitely be better. The menu is overwhelming to look at, and I have a hard time choosing when I drive through. But it's frequently a thing where you get the sense the person taking your order kinda expects you to know what you want already. I often just decide not to go here for that reason because I get social anxiety and this kinda spikes it. I'll be honest the barista recommendations haven't really wowed me yet. I love that all the workers here seem to get along and have a good time. But it feels like the customer experience is definitely set to the side or put as a secondary priority. Like many reviewers have said: most coffee and matcha on the menu is just a dressed up vanilla latte. Vanilla is a great flavor but don't expect anything profound here. What I do enjoy is their coffee smoothies menu the blended mango energy buzz is nice I definitely recommend meeting friends or work buddies here, but the atmosphere is really loud if you're just trying to relax and get work done. The vibe is definitely more social setting for the cafe. Their handoff for your drink in the cafe is pretty much tiny/nonexistent and they don't really call your name either so don't be afraid to check up on your drink if it's been a minute. First time trying Buzzed today. Ordered a 16oz blended mocha, no whip. It was absolutely delicious. Ham and cheese croissant, bread was perfect and fluffy. So flavorful. Caprese sandwich looked amazing! The bread was soft, it was missing the balsamic glaze and the flavor was bland and lacking . Unfortunately we both were in the restaurant within 20 minutes of eating. I got the snickerdoodle latte, which is their more popular one, and I have to say it was also very good. My wife ordered both of them half sweet and they were still pretty sweet.
