The standout was the complimentary chai, which I ended up buying. It wasn't too sweet, and even on a hot day, I wanted more of it! Highly recommend. The cafe makes for a great study spot. We found Habibi's Cafe through TikTok, and after seeing all the photos and hearing good things through word of mouth, we decided to check it out. I've also been wanting to explore more local café spots, and this ended up being a very solid find. The zaatar cheese manakish was easily one of the highlights. It was warm and cheesy without being overly oily, while the zaatar added a crisp, earthy flavor that balanced everything really well. The basterma manakish was good, but it was probably my least favorite of what we ordered. There was nothing necessarily wrong with it, but it did not stand out as much as the other items. Still, anyone who already prefers basterma would probably enjoy it. The pistachio honey labneh was also really good. The labneh itself was clearly well made, and the pistachio paired beautifully with it. However, I felt that those two flavors overpowered the honey, so the honey did not add anything particularly noticeable. I think hot honey would have made the dish more interesting by adding some contrast and bringing all the flavors together. The zaatar grilled cheese was another great choice. Overall, the manakish here is excellent and seems to be one of the café's strongest offerings. We also ordered matcha and a few other drinks, which rounded out the meal nicely. The café is spacious, with seating in the front, an outdoor area in the back, and around four or five indoor tables. The staff was friendly, helpful, and especially good at explaining the menu. For anyone unfamiliar with Lebanese or Middle Eastern flavors, they make it easy to understand the different ingredients and decide what to order. read more

A cute coffee shop right across the street from CSUF! They have a great variety of beverages, food, and pastries to choose from. Since it was our first time visiting, we asked the cashier for the most popular drink recommendations and decided to try the Habibi House Latte and the Toasted Butter Date Latte. It wasn't busy when we went, and our drinks were made fairly quickly. The decor and ambiance were really cool, with a unique aesthetic that stood out from other coffee shops. I have a new goal. Try as many MENA (Middle Eastern North African) cafe shops. This is my second spot Walking in you're greeted with friendly staff and they offer you a sample of their famous Karak tea. That was a big hit for my mom. She ended up ordering a hot karak tea. I got a basterma panini sandwich and it slapped! I grew up with basterma so for me to find a cafe that offers it, I had to get it. I feel like I'm back home with the Arabic music that they play. They have merch too. I got the iced Toasted Butter Date Latte. It wasn't too sweet which is perfect for me. My favorite part of the latte to be honest was the sesame seeds on top of the butter toffee cold foam. read more

Tried Habibi's for the first time and ordered a vanilla fig matcha ($8). Definitely a more unique matcha, I thought it had a sweet vanilla taste and the matcha paired nicely with the fig. It was on the sweeter end, so I'd ask for less sweet next time, and the inside had some seating available. The only downside is I'm not sure it's worth paying 8 dollars for a matcha when there are plenty of other yummy matcha spots in OC with drinks that cost less than 8 dollars, and it would be worth the price if the cup was bigger. Other than that I thought the service was good and I didn't have to wait too long for my drink :) read more

Super nice spot if you're looking for brunch, a friend catch-up or even to get some work done. 1 restroom and plenty of free parking. -strawberry pistachio latte : really liked the strong pistachio flavor and espresso -fig vanilla matcha latte: vanilla cream top is phenomenal. Fig flavor did sink to the bottom so you do need to mix the bottom portion a bit- a subtle flavor that goes well with the strong matcha -chipotle chicken melt : amazing with the side chipotle sauce. This gave me casual with an elevated presentation on an aesthetic board. You can get this with panini bread or a wrap. -zaatar cheese flatbread : good Arabic flavor spices. Delicious and I liked eating this with the side pickles from the chipotle chicken melt Only have oat milk as alternative milk. They also have amazing desserts. Have to come to try them. read more

Habibi's has become me and my boyfriend's go-to cafe whenever we want quality coffee, pastries, sandwiches, or flatbreads. Everything we've tried has been good, and I love their minimalistic aesthetic -- it's such a vibe. The staff is always so nice too! my #1 matcha place of all time. It genuinely is so so good and deserves all the hype. I have tried many matchas but nothing has beaten this one so far. All their purees and cold foams are made there and taste so yummy and not artificial what's so ever. The matcha is rich and it's just such a nice blend between the cold foam and mango puree and it doesn't take away from that matcha flavor. The matcha is about $9-10 so it's a bit on the pricier side but I'd pay for this every time. The service is awesome, everyone is super sweet and I've had good conversations with the people here. There is limited seating but it's super clean and I love to sit here and do some work. read more

A true hidden gem! The only downside is wishing they were located a bit closer to the South Bay or Long Beach area. I've been a regular visitor ever since they opened, specifically for their incredible in-house tea.It packs a serious punch! If you want to switch things up, their in house Karak tea is also well worth a try. It full of flavor and packs serious punch. Warmed it up at home in my toaster oven at 325 for 6 mins and it was SO GOOOD OMG. Chai is flavorful, traditional. My daughter liked it. The service was great. Noor and Saad were so sweet. Visited this evening to correct that incorrect order for the Pistachio Honey Labneh. Here it is, a gorgeous flatbread layered thickly with the creamy labneh -- a denser cousin to Greek Yogurt, drizzled with honey, and crushed pistachio. That first bite was unexpected -- a sharp sourness from the labneh that muted the sweetness of the honey, with an earthy crunch from the pistachios. This was a different dessert that I am used to. Wow, wow, wow! I feel like I have been missing out on this cafe!!!! It was a bit busy for a Sunday...and now I see why. First of all, service was great. Everyone working there is so polite, efficient, and kind. The interior was overall very clean, and I love all the little attention to detail with the interior design. The drinks were so tasty! I am such a huge fan of the orange blossom latte. It had such a nice flavor profile that I really haven't see anywhere else. They really SHOULD offer a flight so you can try multiple lattes!!! Looking for a some caffeine after a meeting, I found Habibi's and they had just what i was looking for. I was able to meet Saad who provided great service and helped me choose the Habibi's latte. Compared to other lattes, it incorporates a variety of ingredients like cardamom without being overwhelming. The cold foam was the main sugar source for the drink and thats how it should be; often times i will just order a cold brew with cold foam for this reason. I will try the pistachio rose latte next time or a sandwich as i was told the bread is parbaked and imported from italy. The location offers bathrooms, plenty of seating, and WiFi for customers eating in. Tables turnover fairly quickly but i imagine can get busy during exam seasons. I arrived right at open and the server was amazing. She was quick to great me, upbeat, helpful, and kind despite me coming in when I did. The space is clean and beautiful. Perfect amount of options with the ability to adjust the sweetness on drinks. Milk options were whole and oat. I ordered the strawberry pistachio latte, less sweet. I stopped by for a quick drink and snack, and I'm so glad I did! This spot is conveniently located right next to Bundo Khan so you can get chai coffee after the meal. There's also plenty of parking. The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous. It truly feels like stepping into a Middle Eastern sanctuary, with stunning art pieces by @kweenkaraza adorning the walls. Every detail adds to the warm, inviting vibe. There's a good amount of seating available, making it a comfortable spot to relax, catch up with friends or do some work. They are also open late night! They also sell small goods, including authentic Palestinian olive oil. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They guided me through the menu since all the drink flavors sounded so unique and tempting. I ended up ordering the Orange Blossom Matcha Latte and the Zaatar & Cheese Mana'eesh. The latte was amazing!! Perfectly balanced with a subtle floral note that complemented the matcha without overpowering it. I'd definitely order it again! We stopped by for coffee the other day on our way home and ended up ordering a lot more because their menu is awesome and we always need more dessert We tried: Strawberry Pistachio Latte Barakah Latte Cantaloupe Melon Refresher Pistachio Honey Labneh Flatbread Orange Phyllo Cake Kanafeh They actually bring this phyllo cake in from a bakery in Greece, and we can see why it's so popular! The Barakah Latte has such a unique flavor- espresso infused with date molasses and honey, and topped with a black seed cold foam. The flatbread had the best texture, and I loved the combination of creamy Labneh with pistachios. We all fell in love with their kanafeh though - made fresh in house with the perfect balance of crunchy and cheesy! We want to go back and try their sandwiches next. It can get pretty busy since it's right by the university, but they served us pretty quickly and they were so nice. They have several tables inside and it's set to be pretty cozy. read more

We tried the za'atar and the cheese ones and both were great. The strawberry matcha is one of their most popular drinks and it did not disappoint. The service is very fast. You order at the counter and they will bring your food/drink to you if you are at a table. I am SO happy that this café is around! this is an amazing little spot right by campus, just across the street, with ample seating, a student discount, incredible food and drinks, and very friendly and sweet staff members. Rose lattes are my favorite, and pretty much every time I see them featured on a menu, I get excited. I was particularly thrilled today, because this is easily my favorite so far. It's not too sweet, and it's topped with pink cold foam and rose petals. You can taste the freshness in their ingredients. The manaeesh cheese was equally wonderful. The olive oil drizzled on top is absolutely gorgeous. The balance of fresh tomatoes and tangy zaatar, creamy melted cheese and crisp bread is just heavenly. Inside is very homey not that much seating but it wasn't loud. the vibe of the space is very warm and welcoming a perfect way to pair with your drink to start they day. Habibi's was amazingly good, this is my first time visiting their location and I genuinely can't wait to go back specifically for their knafeh and harissa basterma melt. First of all, the vibe here was great. I love entering a place and feel warmly welcomed, Habibi's definitely brought that. They also had some coffee samplers to taste, although I already ordered the Orange Blossom Iced Latte (it was refreshingly good!). My bf got the chicken chipotle melt, he really loved it. I loved my harissa basterma melt, this is my first time trying it and was shocked when I tasted the flavors of the dried, cured meat. The highlight for me was the knafeh, I can't even begin to describe how happy I am because it's been years since I ate one. All the pastries looked really good but I ended up going with the turtle cheesecake & Basterma Flatbread. I also got a Habibi House Latte & my brother got a strawberry matcha. Im not much of a matcha guy but the strawberry foam on that was fireee. The cheesecake was creamy and soft & the basterma was good as well. Habibi's is a student-friendly cafe that has some of the best matcha in the area. There's enough seating inside for studying and getting work done, as well as outdoor seating by the street for the same reason. Their strawberry matcha and butter pecan latte are my favorite drinks of theirs, and I don't enjoy matcha that much. It is delicious and flavorful. The cream is phenomenal and makes the texture of the drink awesome! The prices here are pretty steep (students in the area get a small discount), and I'd like to try the food that they offer as well. They offer coffee, matcha, specialty lattes, and teas to drink. Their food options include Arab flatbreads and a few dessert items like knafeh, strawberry nutella pie, cookies, danishes and croissants. All the food served here is HALAL! Orange blossom latte ($7) - This was made with espresso, orange blossom water and orange blossom cold foam. It wasn't overly sweet and had a nice floral and citrusy taste to it. It was perfect for a hot summer day. Overall I was impressed with the friendly service. The drinks here are unique and reasonably priced. I did wish they had more dessert offerings. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try the knafeh which looked great, but the rest of the other dessert options seemed just ok. Hopefully they can expand on this as the business grows.
