I'm not usually the type to leave reviews, but I heard a new coffee shop had opened near my neighborhood, stopped by out of curiosity, and it quickly became one of my favorite local spots. It's right off busy Imperial Hwy, a road I drive by all the time. Unlike most coffee shops around here, it's in its own house with a private parking lot, which gives it a unique feel. The interior has a nice mix of Asian inspired details and modern design that really gives the place its own character. After a few visits, I've tried the Long Black, Mont Blanc, Orange Bianco, and a few of their matcha drinks. Everything I've tried has been unique and really well made. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care into each drink. Personally, the matcha has been my favorite. I love that it's not sweet or covered up with too many flavors. You can actually taste the quality and natural flavor of the matcha itself, which I really appreciate. Really happy to have a unique cafe like this in the neighborhood. A good coffee is a good coffee and this place genuinely has some amazing, unique drinks. I've raved about it to the whole community so much that apparently they decided to follow me there. But here's the thing: one bad employee can absolutely make or break a business, no matter how good the coffee is. We walked in yesterday to grab some drinks. I'm usually a flat white or Americano kind of person, but it was hot, and I wanted something iced, slightly sweet, and refreshing. My son ordered a banana mocha, and I ordered an iced matcha with oat milk. I asked the female barista if I could get some simple syrup mixed in. She said, "I can put it on the side." I said, "You can't mix it in for me?" "No." Okay. Cool. So I said, "No worries, just charge me for the mocha." Suddenly: "I can mix in the syrup if you want." Girl what ? Why was that suddenly an option? You had me go through an entire emotional journey over a pump of simple syrup. I wasn't asking you to hand whisk my matcha under a full moon. I just wanted the syrup mixed in. At that point, I said, "No, thanks." It was the attitude and condescending tone that really bothered me. I felt like I was being treated as though I had walked in demanding a 17 ingredient TikTok milkshake when I literally asked for simple syrup in my drink. I love supporting local businesses, and I'll happily rave about great coffee when the experience matches it. But customer service matters. A lot. The coffee may be amazing, but I'd rather not come back if I have to deal with someone acting like they personally own the espresso machine. read more

Tiny new cafe in Brea The parking is tiny also in the back lot, lots of ppl were parking across the street and walking over which was pretty dangerous. I tried to see the menu and it was only in the front with very small font with a very long list of pour over which I think they specialize in. They did not have a cream top latte, which I always try out at every café. I went for the Mont Blanc. It had not mag flavors with a vanilla cream top with a cold brew on the bottom. It had very much floral hints, but it wasn't bad. The indoor seating is very limited with only low tables around the other side of the café. There are no real tables to sit at nor plugs on the wall walls. The line can get pretty long waiting for ordering. I think the size makes it difficult for people to enjoy when there is an influx of customers. Cute space & friendly staff! I was really excited to try this place after seeing many posts about it. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the drinks we ordered, especially the watered-down coffee which had more of a burnt taste. Maybe it's just the decaf since I've seen other positive reviews about their coffee drinks? It was $0.50 extra to make the drink decaf, so I was expecting a higher quality bean. Another new coffee shop in the city of Brea but it's definitely not your ordinary little coffee spot. This place specializes and takes great pride in their espresso so I had to give them a shot. I arrived on a weekday afternoon and thankfully there was only one party ahead of me. I asked for a rundown on the menu and their popular drinks so the girl working kindly did that for me without hesitation. Here's what I ordered: **Orange Bianco: The layering with this drink looks amazing from the cream top to the espresso to the orange juice on the bottom. The cream top itself lacked flavor and didn't taste like anything. The espresso was bitter and lacked flavor. The orange juice was your plain jane oj. The drink mixed together created chunks and wasn't the most appealing drink overall. **Long Black: This was the closest thing to an Americano so I ordered it. A Long Black is prepared with a layer of water and espresso on top while an Americano is the opposite but I swear it's the same thing because I've seen people prepare Americanos both ways. The espresso was very bitter and lacked overall depth of flavor. I initially went because I did see a tonic based drink on the menu but when I got there, the menu had changed. A day or two later, they had a different tonic based drink available. I also like to order a basic espresso based drink like an Americano but the Long Black did not meet any expectation. The interior is quite minimalistic but the feel isn't all there. From reading prior reviews, I read that the owner was present and providing excellent customer service to everyone but that wasn't the case for me. I saw a person that resembled to be the owner but he did not say a peep even though I was the only one in house at the time. I wish I had stellar experience like 90% of the prior reviewers but this spot is a one and done for me. One of the baristas shared that the café was only in its third week of operation and graciously apologized for still perfecting their coffee program. The apology turned out to be unnecessary. The Banana Mocha was the standout--refreshing, subtly sweet, and infused with real banana flavor that never veered into the artificial. It disappeared so quickly we never managed to take a photo. The Matcha Blanco was equally impressive, striking a balance between creamy and rich while preserving the earthy, traditional character of quality matcha. Watching the drinks come together added to the experience, as each matcha was whisked to order behind the bar. The café's design already has a strong sense of identity. The exterior, service counter, and thoughtful decorative details create a charming first impression. The interior seating, however, still feels like a work in progress. With just a few wall benches and small stool-like tables, the space is better suited for a brief visit than settling in for an afternoon. Even so, this is the kind of neighborhood café worth seeking out. Come for a thoughtfully crafted drink, bring a friend you're hoping to impress, and plan on a quick catch-up over coffee. This is one of a kind cafe in Brea. As a disclaimer, this is a grab-and-go kind of place, but you can also stand and enjoy the interior as you sip on your choice of drink. Also, unless you're an espresso advocate, it may be hard to order some of those typical drinks, like a Cream Top Latte. Try exploring their more robust espresso drinks! I came in during the soft opening and I can say it's quite impressive. Great service, great explanation of their drinks, and great presentation. I had their Cold Brew and Mont Blanc, and I can say that their drinks are quite robust. The Cold Brew isn't too acidic, yet has a good nutty and light cherry chocolate flavor element. The Mont Blanc is their popular cold drink, so I would recommend that. I always rank cafes based on cold brew taste, and by that standard, I definitely recommend it. I was excited to try this new coffee shop in the neighborhood. The shop itself is cute, with Chinese-inspired interior design and a nice atmosphere. Parking is fairly limited and the lot may be difficult to navigate during busy times. Seating inside is also limited, so I ended up taking my drink to go. The menu has a large selection of drinks, but the descriptions are minimal and the font is quite small. Since many of the drinks were unfamiliar to me, I asked for a recommendation. Unfortunately, the staff member who assisted me seemed somewhat unsure of the menu and wasn't able to provide much guidance. I ended up ordering the Mont Blanc. The drink was definitely unique, but unfortunately it wasn't to my taste. It had a strong floral flavor that reminded me somewhat of orange chocolate, with not much other flavor coming through. I personally didn't enjoy it and ended up keeping it in my refrigerator for a couple of days before finishing it. I also felt that the drink was relatively small for the price. Food: I got the Orange Bianco. It reminded me a lot of those chocolate bars with orange zest, but instead of chocolate it was espresso haha. The bottom is orange juice, then espresso, and then a cream top. It was really refreshing and had a good amount of caffeine. I was pretty jittery for the rest of the day, but didn't experience a caffeine crash. Service: The service was fast and helpful. I spent some time looking over the menu and the staff were great about recommendations. They asked what I usually drink and suggested items based on it. Its decent but not worth the price for how insanely small it is. My friend got the Matcha Coco and it was almost $9! She said it tasted bitter and unsweetened, she couldn't even force herself to finish it. Very sad about that. New coffee shop in the old Hapa Cupcake building. Small parking lot but enough for this small place. Coffee menu is a bit confusing and not very detailed so I got a cold brew. They served it in a martini glass which was unusual. The seating is awful, just a wood bench with 1/2 inch blue, individual padding (see pictures in previous posts). I stopped by to try this coffee shop and ordered the Matcha Blanc. Before ordering, I asked what it was because I wasn't familiar with the drink. There seemed to be some confusion among the baristas. The employee helping me asked a coworker, who told her it was a matcha latte with cold foam. I ordered it with oat milk instead of regular milk, which was a $1 upcharge, bringing my total to $9.70 after tax. While I was waiting, I overheard the baristas discussing the drink again. The employee mentioned that the Matcha Blanc actually comes with oat milk, and an older gentleman then said it wasn't supposed to have milk at all. At that point, I wasn't really sure what I was receiving. Unfortunately, the matcha itself was pretty mild and didn't have a strong matcha flavor, and the cold foam didn't really taste like much either. I think I may have enjoyed the drink more if it had been prepared the way it was intended, but the confusion among the baristas seemed to lead me in the wrong direction. The menu isn't very large, so I think it would be helpful if everyone on staff had a clear understanding of the drinks they're serving. That said, pictures of their other drinks look really good, so I'm hoping this was just an off experience. I finally found a clean, cozy coffee shop with an amazing vibe! Brea has been missing a trendy café like this! I'm so happy this place opened. I'm in love. Legit espresso. I haven't had espresso in the US this good. I'm by no means an expert, but the flavor profile is European to me: sweet, smooth, deep/full bodied. I find US espresso to be rather thin, earthy and acidic. Your tastes may vary. Their espresso menu is quite extensive. I will be systematically trying them. So far the Romano is chef's kiss. I've always dreamed of being an old Italian man when I grow up. This place gets me one step closer to my goal. Cold Brew Lattes. I never understood the explosive popularity of cold brew in the past. They always seemed kind of weak/thin and never as good as it sounds. This is the real deal with incredible dimensionality and depth of flavor. Banana moka: you've had one, I've had one, banana is everywhere right now (2026), this one runs deeper than the rest. The spot is quaint as well. Bench seating with cushions. Great place for a chat while you take your espresso. No infrastructure for studying for finals or long computer sessions. As much as I love those kind of places, this is for espresso - enjoy it for what it is. I walked into this place with high expectations that were definitely not met. My family and I were not greeted by employees and were definitely stared at by the customers. The menu had no descriptions and half of the menu wasn't liable for take out. We eventually ordered a matcha, banana moka, and Madagascar latte. For the price I thought the drinks would be larger or at least extremely flavorful. I first tried the matcha drink and it was okay, but too watery and small. The Madagascar didn't have any flavor and the banana moka was mediocre are best. I don't think this is a place I will every return due to the customer service and mediocre drinks. read more

Lovely space. The interior is beautiful with a vintage charm. The owner is so kind and after speaking with him, explained that he wants to treat every encounter as a cherished meeting. The menu is extensive so it can be a bit daunting, however, all the staff are there to help and recommend a choice. All staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The 2 stars is coming from the customer service not the drink. The owner is really kind and made me a drink almost every day I came in. I asked for the same drink again and the girl immediately was annoyed that I did and then her and her coworker went to the back and started talking about me while I was still in the store. I came back everyday because the latte was so good and didn't mean to come off as rude when I asked for it but she definitely took it the wrong way and ruined my entire experience.
