I asked the person at the register what she thought was the lowest caffeinated drink was she informed it was the boya green tea. When I got my drink, I saw that they actually list the caffeine amount lol. I'd say the drink was strong, and as, a caffeine sensitive person, I wouldn't risk having this after 11. Thankfully didn't make me jittery! I didn't adjust sugar or ice and found it pleasantly sweet. You can always adjust it if you prefer something less sweet. One of my to go spots for drinks in the area! They do not have toppings for their drinks so don't expect boba or any jellies. You can definitely smell the fresh tea brewing when you go inside, so you definitely know they're using quality ingredients for your drinks. My to go drink is their amber oolong milk tea or chagee daydream without the whip cream. The chagee daydream is essentially the amber oolong but blended in ice and milk. Since it was my first time going, the servers were super helpful in guiding me on what to order on what I was feeling that day. This spot is located within the Brea Mall and it gets packed really fast. Typically there is a long line but we were lucky enough to stop by without much of a line. The tea shop smells soo good and the interior design is beautiful. I ordered the Boyle milk tea with regular sweetness - it was delicious and reminds me of a really good jasmine milk tea I also tried the Roasted Black Tea with 50% sweetness - the tea flavor was very strong and unique. I would definitely order this next time I come visit The servers were very friendly and also very efficient with ordering. There are only a few seats to sit inside the tea spot, but otherwise there is plenty of seating within the mall. Highly recommend this spot if you love high quality tea shop. read more

I found this viral Chinese milk tea from Instagram while vacationing in SoCal. The gentleman behind the register was kind to recommended me the Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte with oat milk in large for under $8, which is much cheaper than an average 16 oz. boba with one topping in the Bay Area. I recommend downloading their app to receive a discount as a first customer. It was a bit crowded in the afternoon and there weren't any seats available until someone leave the table. I love the design of their cups and bag. The straws are made to be thin so you can taste the essence of the tea when sipping tea lattes, which will make a tasting difference. I really like the creamy texture of their tea latte and not watery like other boba shops I've been to. I even felt awake for a while after drinking it for over an hour. I had pretty high expectations of Chagee's drink after my sister told me how popular this place was. The interior was really pretty and the moment I walked in, I could smell the calm aroma of tea. I got the boya jasmine green tea latte and while the tea flavor was prominent, it wasn't as sweet as I would have wanted. My sister got the amber oolong tea and said she loved it! However, she did say she liked a good tea flavor that wasn't too sweet. So it was perfect for her! My mom got the peach oolong tea and said it was good but tasted a little watered down. I would say this place is a hit or miss depending on what your preference in milk tea/tea is. I am a sweet tooth so I enjoy a sweeter flavor, but if you're into a lighter sweet taste with strong tea flavor, this place would be perfect for you. Also the caffeine is definitely there! Heard the line gets really long here. However, we went on as Friday afternoon and it wasn't too bad. The wait to pick up drinks was longer than to order. I got the peach oolong lemon tea and my husband got the jasmine Lemon tea and they were both really good. A tad bit sweet but good. If you like it a little less sweet, 50-75% is good. Chagee is a tea house that is well respected on the Internet and social media, so stumbling across it on my visit to Brea excited me. However, I wasn't too impressed with the orders we made. The menu is a bit limited, which is no problem as I think it's nice to specialize in specific teas and latte forms, but they were just... okay. I will say the overall aesthetic is nice inside though. We ordered the Ceylon black tea latte and the amber oolong tea latte, and it was a bit underwhelming. The Ceylon black tea latte was pretty average. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that special. Came here with my friend who is obsessed with Chagee for my first time trying out Chagee! They do have a mobile app that is currently running a promotion for your first order through the app to be a % off. There is limited indoor seating as well as a restroom inside. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the mall and Chagee were PACKED. My friend and I ordered online in advance to just pick up the drinks much faster which I do recommend although we came back a few hours later and waited in line and it didn't take too long. One thing to note is for all orders, they don't call out your name when the order is ready so just be prepared to keep a close eye on the drinks coming out. I do wish there was more tea, as I do taste the flavor, but tastes watery quick as the ice melts. There aren't many tables as the shop is small. I'd consider the wait to try Chagee due to its popularity, but only if you are willing to wait. The place was moderately filled up with a few people in line to order. Since it was my first time at this tea joint, I asked the cashier up front what was popular and after she assisted me, I went with their Amber Oolong Tea. I was told that it wasn't too sweet so for my first time, I decided to get it regular sweet. The flavor was honestly pretty good but the tea flavor was a bit on the weaker side. Any teahouse that collabs with Laufey is a teahouse that I will frequent.. and I do love Chagee! This particular location usually has a line but the wait doesn't take too long, and you always have the option to order through the app for pickup. The staff is always super helpful and nice which is always a plus. I always get the Amber Oolong tea latte and it always hits the spot. The flavor is nicely nutty and never too sweet. If you prefer more floral, jasmine teas, I recommend their Boya Jasmine tea latte. You can only adjust ice or sweetener for certain drinks, and there are no toppings. The store is overall very clean and bright. There is a menu on the screen for you to read and you can observe how they make all the teas behind the counter I ordered a Peach Oolong Lemon Tea, less sweet. It has fresh lemon and lime slices added to it, which is a nice touch. The drink overall is still a little sweet for me personally, but I prefer 25% sweetness typically and I would say this is near 40%. The limes and lemon overpower the peach in the drink, so you can only taste the oolong aftertaste. It tastes, average, as in something you could find in a cafe or make at home. read more

Came back for a third time; thinking "PLEASE REDEEM YOURSELF CHAGEE" There was no line at all on a Tuesday around 12pm. I got to the storefront and ordered immediately. This time, I got the Peach Oolong Milk Tea with regular sugar and light ice. To be honest, I didn't hate it. It was better than the other drinks I tried here. I also ordered a horse perfume sachet since they have red ones for the year of the fire horse. However, the manager said they sold out of the red ones and only had the regular blue ones left. I came at a good time, 2pm on a Wednesday. There was a short line to order since there was only one cashier. Luckily, no long wait for my drink. It was really difficult to understand the cashier. She was soft spoken in a loud place and she had a mask on. If you're interested in merch, there are a bunch for you The menu is simple and note: NOT a boba or coffee shop! CHAGEE had about a 15-20 min long line when I visited and I'll be honest, I'd do it again and again for CHAGEEs unbeatable freshly brewed tea with unique flavors. Stopped by the Apple Store and saw this teahouse next door. The interior decor looked fancy so I wanted to give it a try. This place doesn't serve coffee based drinks, it's all tea. No boba either. I picked up the Peach Oolong Tea Latte w/ Oat Milk. It was good, however the peach flavor was very faint and I was hoping to taste more peach. The straws were interesting. They had 3 holes in it. I think it's so you can sip and savor your tea instead of chugging it down like you would with a bigger straw. Also, since you are drinking hot tea, it doesn't burn as much if you sip it slower. What we ordered ~ iced Peach oolong latte, it was very subtle the peach flavor and the oolong tea taste was really light. I was worried my drink was gonna be sweet due to the peach. Ask the associate if it was a sweet tea and he said at their sweetness high it's at 60% sweet. Which than i decided to keep my drink un-customized. So glad i did because it was the perfect balance of sweet with the peach and oolong. They are known for their High end tea, I was a bit worried since it's high quality and good tea that the drink might be a lot caffeinated but i was actually good drinking tea so late! This famous worldwide boba place is located inside brea mall. The store is on the 1st level near jc pennys right next to the apple store and tumi. There's also a starbucks nearby and an elevator. Store setting is kind of weird, with the counter near the entrance and there is a pillar that stands out in the front. You walk into the store from the left side of the pillar and if you want to order something, go to the right of the pillar and thats where the order line is. Imagine you have tons of customers, the line will extend it out to outside of tumi since there are much space from the start of the line to the store entrance. I'm a big milk tea fan and they don't have any milk teas. They have "tea latte" which its actually a kind of milk teas. I'm not sure why this store doesn't have milk teas or if they substitute tea latte with milk tea but this is a bad idea. If you dont have milk teas in your menu as one of the options then you are missing alot of businesses. If you substitute milk teas with tea latte, thats another bad thing because its totally different taste and customers like myself that enjoy milk teas will definitely taste the different. While some people don't mind but this is where I gave this store a lower rating since the so called tea latte tastes "yuck". I read the reviews from other fellow customers and they also have similar weird taste feedback. Also, one more thing that this boba shop lack of is boba. This is not THEIR fault ( i assume the owner is a franchise owner ) because all chagee doesn't offer boba.
