The Tapiochi toppings are really good!! I really enjoy the bite it gives. I got the black tea tapiochi and it was a subtle flavor but the texture was super nice. The location has a few seating options and the worker at the cashier was really nice. It's in a plaza so there are parking options.

I had heard about Torotea a while ago on TikTok but i knew that it could get pretty packed so i hadn't had the chance to check it out. But last night while in the area i saw they were open late and decided to check it out . Even at 10 pm there was still a huge crowd outside and in. Inside there isn't much seating and it's pretty small but it has a really clean and chic vibe. They had free sample of oolong tea to try and it was really tasty and refreshing. I decided to order the Popcorn milk tea which is their most popular and i was pleasantly surprised. It did smell like butter and had a hint of buttery taste but overall it was really light and refreshing. It also had tapioca squares which were really good. Overall one of the best milk teas I've had and i will be going back for sure.

One of my current absolute favorites. Normally Milk Teas at my age aren't my go-to, but I'll always make the exception for Torotea. My favorite drink so far is the Koan-Im Oolong Milk Tea (Less Sweet & Regular Ice) w/Brown Sugar Tapioca Mochi. Just the right amount of floral notes & roasted flavor without being too sweet & the brown sugar mochi texture has all the best part about grass jelly & boba all in one. Regular Ice is also just enough ice so that your drink stays refreshingly cold & I actually end up with no leftover ice normally. Parking isn't too bad, vibe is super relaxed, sort of spa vibe with relaxed lighting. Whenever I'm somewhat close, I always drop by for a quick boba! I'm excited for the OC locations later this year/next!

Talk about aesthetics Did this just secure a spot in my top faves? Yes... yes it did. As a night shifter, late-night cravings are REAL -- so finding a spot that's actually open late? Elite behavior. Sometimes I need my matcha at 8pm and I'm not apologizing for it Tried their Matcha Einspänner and it was a total hit & creamy, bold, and exactly what I needed. This was their San Marino location... next stop: Chino Hills Will definitely be back to try more drinks! Follow me on TikTok for more spots I try! @monicaerikaa

I was recommended to try this place by a couple of my friends so I came around opening! There was already a couple people waiting but the service was pretty fast! Theres no tables and very minimal seating inside. Parking lot outside is free, but small lot! I got the cassia milk to w brown sugar tapiochi with 25% sweet and it was p good! I enjoyed the texture and flavor of the drink overall, but I still found it to be really sweet. Overall it tasted more like a dessert and not super tea forward. It was still really delicious and I would come back when im looking for something sweet!

I've been hearing the hype about Toro Tea for a while and finally decided to see what the buzz was about. I walked in with zero expectations and honestly, that made the experience even better. It didn't just meet the hype, it justified it. First off, I love the ambiance. Torotea leans fully into a wabi-sabi aesthetic; minimalist but warm, modern but intimate. It feels intentional. The space isn't trying too hard to be trendy; it just is. Soft tones, clean lines, and a calm energy that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy your drink instead of grabbing it and running out the door. Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi (5/5) I don't say this lightly but this might be one of the most unique boba drinks I've ever had. I ordered it less sweet, and the balance was still phenomenal. The Assam black tea base came through with a rich, slightly brisk backbone, but what really sets it apart is that buttery, toasted popcorn note that lingers in the best way. It's subtly savory-sweet & elevated. I genuinely need to know how they infuse that buttery twist without it feeling artificial. And the brown sugar tapiochi is amazing! It has a softer, silkier jelly-like texture compared to boba and complements the drink beautifully without overpowering it. Absolute hit. Cassia Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi (4.5/5) This one is smooth and comforting in a completely different way. The flavor profile leans warm and aromatic. Think gentle spice, subtle woody sweetness, and a mellow malty depth that rounds everything out. It's less sharp than a typical black tea milk base and instead feels cozy and layered. Since it's non-caffeinated, it drinks more like a spiced milk infusion than a classic tea, which makes it perfect for evenings. Not overly sweet, not heavy. Just balanced and refined. Overall, Toro Tea doesn't feel like just another stop on a boba crawl. It feels crafted. The flavors are thoughtful, the space is intentional, and the experience feels elevated without being pretentious. It deserve all the awards, hype, and attention. Would absolutely come back to explore more of the menu.

Came here on a whim and definitely wasn't disappointed. Walked in and immediately was impressed with the ambiance of the place. It is very aesthetically pleasing, they offer samples/tastings of different things and have a pretty big menu. I stopped here because I was particularly looking for something caffeine free and found their cassia milk tea. It was delicious. I tried it with the brown sugar tapioca as it comes and that was soft and tasty. I ended up coming back and trying to soft top which was yummy on it too. Not necessary but delicious. Really glad I spontaneously stopped here !

My family and I have been here multiple times so this review is long overdue. We visited after Soccer practice on a Monday around 7pm yelp live wait under 5 mins so I didn't check in actually pulled up no wait party of 5. We personally love the Osmanthus tea perfectly sweet with ice add the osmanthus jelly or passion fruit jelly either you can't go wrong! Love how this tea is caffeine free! Popcorn milk tea is also yummy you will certainly enjoy! My niece got the Crème brulee and she enjoyed that she said it was creamy thick and delicious! Employees are super nice and welcoming! Love the vibe inside! Highly recommend Torotea! It will not disappoint friends! Price is on higher side but worth it!

I know everyone raves about the popcorn milk tea, but I'm telling you the best drink here is the manor milk tea with black tea tapiochi! If you really like just a quality and good milk tea, you have to get this. It's so soothing and has a great tea flavor, and the black tea tapiochi pairs perfectly with it. I'm also a fan of the cassia milk tea for when I don't want any caffeine, and that has a little more of a barley tea flavor, but it's also really good when you just want to drink something that tastes like tea without any of the consequences! Parking at this location is pretty easy -- there's a parking lot with plenty of spaces (much better than the San Marino location).

I love Torotea so much!! If only they sold the popcorn milk tea by the gallon, I would never be dehydrated. If you can't tell by that previous statement, Torotea's popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi is one of my favorite drinks right now. I usually order two at a time cos I always need one for later. This location is also super aesthetic and almost always busy. I haven't been on a weekend, so thankfully I have not seen the craziest it can get. The staff is sweet, shop is clean but small, and the menu selection is awesome.

Came around 9pm on a Tuesday with no wait. It was still moderately busy with many people inside. The decor of the store is very pleasant as well. The drinks are always super good. I would recommend this place for a light and refreshing drink.

Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi Daltons Cloud Top Koan-Im Oolong Latte
    Ky-Anh H.

Torotea is one of the most unique tea houses. I love the aesthetic and decor that they have going on, as it's very minimalist and somewhat brutalist in design. Speaking of the uniqueness, I believe their selection of drinks is one of the most unique menus you can find by OC. The parking can be a bit rough at busier times, but worse than that is the waitlist if you don't manage to find a time that isn't busy. Every time I've gone, there's been a 20-40 minute waitlist, which is incredibly long to wait for drinks in my opinion. The drinks do taste great, but do note that the waitlist can be incredibly long at times. There's not much space inside so it's more of a stop and go type of cafe as well. I ordered the popcorn milk tea myself, which includes brown sugar tapiochi, and my girlfriend got the dalgona cloud top koan-im oolong latte. She wanted to add mochi to her drink, but they didn't allow it for some reason, which is a bit of a downer. The drink itself was also kind of watery, and didn't have much taste to it. I will admit, however, that I LOVE the popcorn milk tea. The title itself is interesting in its own right, but it has the most unique taste to it, topped with the brown sugar tapiochi, creates a unique and sweet profile to it. Overall, besides the waitlists and restrictions for what can be added to drinks, I would still recommend trying Torotea if you're nearby. The unique menu and drinks are enough to add to your possible list of places to try! I hope they expand and add locations to OC eventually, and maybe loosen the restrictions to drinks.

We visited Torotea on a Friday night and they were busy but our drinks came out fast. We ordered their Matcha Duo Einspanner and it was delicious. Their customer service was very friendly. I really liked their interior it had a lot of seating and it had a nice minimalistic japandi ambiance.

What I love most here is the ordering experience. There are multiple large touchscreens where you can fully customize your drink -- sugar level, ice level, add-ons, substitutions, you name it. I almost always go for zero sugar, and the fact that I can do that easily is a huge plus for me. It's the kind of flexibility that modern boba shops should all offer. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, which is refreshing compared to some other spots in the area. Is it the most amazing boba I've ever had? Honestly, no -- but the ability to build your drink exactly the way you want it more than makes up for it. There's also a large display screen showing order status, so you always know when your drink is ready. It's a small touch, but it makes the whole experience feel smooth and stress-free. I'll be real though -- I probably drink more coffee from the Starbucks across the street than boba from here. At the end of the day, coffee feels like the healthier daily habit. But when I'm in the mood for something different, this place is where I'll be.
