Really enjoying the uva milk tea with black tea tapiochi. I get it less sweet and it's perfect. Hoping they add more black teas to the menu in the future! They mostly have oolongs on the menu currently. Definitely on the pricy side, especially since their toppings are an extra dollar on top of the $6-9+ for your drink. I don't think any drink should be close to $10 so that part is a little off putting. Still don't recommend their matcha, especially since they're $8.55-9.85 and taste pretty bad and chalky to me. Would recommend trying out their other tea drinks instead.
I used to love coming to torotea from OC, but after today I probably won't visit as often or at all. While the drinks have remained consistent as far as I can tell, there has been a SIGNIFICANT price increase across all drinks on the menu. The lack of a rewards program also makes it less enticing to return, as they used to have one in the very beginning. I am aware that a new location just opened in Santa Ana, but it doesn't have the Yelp waitlist system just fyi, so the line is incredibly long.
Torotea is a boba tea shop with multiple locations across the Southern California area. This one is located in a small plaza in Diamond Bar. We went when it wasn't super busy but when it is you can join the virtual waitlist to secure your spot. We got the jasmine oolong milk tea ($6.60) with passionfruit jelly ($1) and the misty oolong milk tea ($6.60) with brown sugar tapiochi ($1). We really tasted the freshness and the tea in both drinks which is always what you want and expect in your milk tea. The jelly had only a mild passionfruit flavor but was still good and unique. The brown sugar tapiochi was interesting. The drinks were on the pricier side especially with the smaller volume. The quality of the tea was good though so if that's what you value, this is a good place to go.
Toro Tea has so many unique flavors for drinks! There's ample parking whenever I've stopped by. If the store gets busy, the line does go out the door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop itself is small with limited seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] it does take some time for drinks to come out as well. Ordering is easily done online via their website! Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi has a light popcorn taste with a creamy taste. Ember Milk Tea with Barley Jelly had a smokey taste. Jasmine Oolong Milktea with Black Tea Jelly was floral and creamy. All toppings were fresh and had a snappy texture. The lingering aftertaste is a subtle tea taste. Overall a great place for delicious drinks and to catch up with friends. Staff is friendly and informative if you have any questions!
Torotea might just be my new favorite drink spot! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was super unique, felt like you were in a clay house,[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the service was great. I told the lady it was my first time and she recommended trying a sample of the Jasmine oolong tea, which tasted amazing so I ordered one with Osmanthus jelly, which she recommended would pair nicely with the Jasmine oolong tea ($7.34). Definitely have to come back to try more drinks and some of the other toppings
Had to make my 1000th review count, so naturally I chose Torotea, the place that keeps my tea addiction thriving. I usually hit their San Marino spot, but this location still delivered the goods. The shop's a bit small inside, but service was nice. Grabbed my ride-or-die Koan-Im Oolong Latte and paired it with a donut from my favorite donut shop like I was assembling the perfect duo for a late night snack. The tea was lightly sweetened perfectly to my liking, smooth, and clearly crafted by someone who respects tea leaves more than I respect my sleep schedule. The cloud top was basically dalgona candy foam and felt like a bonus dessert after finishing the drink. Even with a lot of people waiing, service moved fast, in & out in about 7 mins. Quality tea, speedy service, and enough creamy foam happiness to make a milestone review feel deserved!! Highly recommend!!!
I enjoy their tapiochi a lot, it's a mix between boba and mochi as the name implies, so it's a softer texture than boba. This is what makes Torotea unique, along with their high quality tea. I'm personally not a huge fan of their popcorn milk tea, but I think that's because I don't like popcorn or "buttery" notes. I'm a huge fan of their misty oolong milk tea, which they say is malty, roasty, and creamy. It's the ideal nutty milk tea that I envision. Their jasmine oolong milk tea is more floral so sometimes I go for that instead. I'll happily go to Torotea every time I'm in Diamond Bar, but I hope they open in OC soon! I'll be at Torotea more often if they come down.
Although my previous 3 star review of this place, i still think its a decent place to come so from time to time I would still come but it is just not a 5 star boba shop overall including services. And trust me, i have been to hundreds if not thousands of boba shop including international. This time around, I went there to order a popcorn milk tea as usual without ice. First they came out having ice in there...fine little mistakes , no biggie. I told them about it and the server apologized and took it in for people inside to change it. Good service right there. Now when it came back out, the cup is wet and i saw a chuck of ice was gone...AND milk tea ( not sure if the wetness if the cup is water or milk tea ) but regardless #1 they didnt even give an effort to clean or wipe down the cup for me after taking out the ice #2 they obviously didnt refill any milk tea back #3 the main reason for me not having ice was i dont want my milk tea to be water down by ice overtime and it was there with ice for a few minutes, im sure it watered down some so they didnt even bother to fill back the missing tea. Come on torotea, your shop is already overhype in the beginning but you cannot even do some common sense basic service now?
High quality tea shop near the DB post office. Located in a shopping center with good parking available. Inside you'll find a nice seating/waiting area with a kind of South western decor - kind of like Sedona AZ. Server is very friendly and welcoming. The drinks here seem to be better quality than other places. The drinks have a good tea flavor as the base. We had the Dalgona Cloud Top Kian-im Oolong Latte and the Ember Milktea with barley Jelly. Both were very good, with the Dalgona being more on the sweeter side. The drinks here high quality and creative.
It's been a while since I've been here. Decided to make a pit stop on a Friday afternoon since it was traffic. It's just as I remembered it. It has such a chill and modern vibe. You can find there menu on a projected screen facing the wall where you order (which can be hard to see once you walk in). There is also a menu up against the walk where the self ordering kiosks are (but doesn't seem to be working). I ordered the popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi and tried the jasmine matcha latte. The popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi was just as I remembered it. It was delicious. Nice and toasty, just like popcorn. You get that milk tea taste as well. And the brown sugar tapiochi balances the toasty flavor you get from the popcorn. The jasmine matcha latte tasted like straight up matcha. Didn't really get any taste if the jasmine. But I guess that's cos matcha is such a strong flavor. I wish they had an option for light ice cos it seemed like the drinks were full of ice. The guy who took my order was nice. Received great service from him. He was very friendly. As well as knowledgeable about the menu when I asked for drink recommendations.

Torotea is one of my favorite tea spots so I always come visit when I'm in the area. Interior is super cozy, minimalistic , and calming. Service is always great and servers have always been friendly and very helpful! There's some parking out front but it can fill up during peak busy hours. We ordered the cold brew gardenia oolong tea and pure Uva black teas. Everyone loved their drinks. The cold brew tea is unsweetened and comes in a glass bottle because it's freshly brewed daily. The Uva black teas are slightly sweet but not too much. We got the perfect sweetness level. I've ordered new drinks every time I visit and have loved every drink so far! read more
Torotea is one of the most unique tea houses. I love the aesthetic and decor that they have going on, as it's very minimalist and somewhat brutalist in design. Speaking of the uniqueness, I believe their selection of drinks is one of the most unique menus you can find by OC. The parking can be a bit rough at busier times, but worse than that is the waitlist if you don't manage to find a time that isn't busy. Every time I've gone, there's been a 20-40 minute waitlist, which is incredibly long to wait for drinks in my opinion. The drinks do taste great, but do note that the waitlist can be incredibly long at times. There's not much space inside so it's more of a stop and go type of cafe as well. I ordered the popcorn milk tea myself, which includes brown sugar tapiochi, and my girlfriend got the dalgona cloud top koan-im oolong latte. She wanted to add mochi to her drink, but they didn't allow it for some reason, which is a bit of a downer. The drink itself was also kind of watery, and didn't have much taste to it. I will admit, however, that I LOVE the popcorn milk tea. The title itself is interesting in its own right, but it has the most unique taste to it, topped with the brown sugar tapiochi, creates a unique and sweet profile to it. Overall, besides the waitlists and restrictions for what can be added to drinks, I would still recommend trying Torotea if you're nearby. The unique menu and drinks are enough to add to your possible list of places to try! I hope they expand and add locations to OC eventually, and maybe loosen the restrictions to drinks. read more

Bamboo jade oolong milk tea -no ice -less sweet -brown sugar tapiochi Creme brûlée ice milk with brown sugar tapiochi -no adjustments -JUST KEEP MIXING -I feel like this drink was a workout. The cream will of course float to the top, but you can't get the best of both the cream and drink unless you're constantly mixing. -if I were to get this again, I would do it without topping so I can just sip from the top and save myself all that energy. The last 3 oz of drink was just the cream! And trust me I mixed rigorously before every sip! Cold brew gardenia oolong Jasmine oolong milk tea -less sweet -no ice -brown sugar tapiochi -basically a more floral oolong. Good balance of flavors, would get again -very nice balance between jasmine and oolong. Tea was not super strong Popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi -less sweet -no ice -kind of buttery and did taste like popcorn for the first few sips, then it kinda just tasted like a super creamy milk tea. The taste was more subtle than expected. Was fun to try but probably won't be getting it again Brown sugar tapiochi -like a mixture of jello and regular tapioca. It has a subtle chewiness that got us coming back. Tried so many different matcha spots, boba, cafes and torotea is one I consistently go back to. (Even though it's 30 minutes away, it's worth it!!!) What sets them apart is their curated menu and house made fresh jelly - no actual boba here. If you're craving something sweet: Popcorn Milk Tea + Brown Sugar Jelly or Crème Brûlée Milk w/ Brown Sugar Jelly are my go tos! Something Light: Koan-In Tea w/ Barely Jelly Their Hojicha + Oolong Einspanner is unique is so delicious. I just wish we had more option to adjust the sweetness on that. Ambience - has its own style & uniqueness. Service is always nice! They're patient and give samples consistently. read more
Oof I love it I love it so much. I got the mulberry oolong tea with osmanthus jelly (hello?! Osmanthus jelly?!) Perfect sweetness is indeed perfect sweetness for those of us without a sweet tooth (like me!) the tea flavor is also definitely there, complimented well with the light delicate sweetness of the mulberry and the osmanthus jelly. I am obsessed with anything osmanthus and was delighted they had Osmanthus flavored jelly - newsflash - it tasted like the real deal. Bonus - jelly also keeps well in the fridge for the next day (since I couldn't finish my drink in one sitting!), unlike boba. This is apparently my sister's favorite tea spot. I love Torotea. Excellent drinks. The store ambiance was great. Feels like I was in a cave. Friendly people, and patiently answering questions. Last time I went here, I honestly don't remember what i ordered- but it wasn't life changing lol (something like a milk tea) But I gave Torotea a few more chances with different drinks and boy I'm so glad I did! The crème brûlée drink is soo yummmmy!!! The picture is from the chino hills location- Drinks are consistent no matter where you go! Finally visited after eating dinner near by and their drinks met my expectations. Line was manageable on a Sunday night an hour before closing. When I first walked in, I thought I accidentally walked into a speakeasy. Toro's aesthetic is definitely hip with its chic seating and cozy cave like waiting area. Don't get me started on their menu that's projected onto the wall. Wowow their various tapioca mochi jellies are an absolute treat. Since it was my first visit, I had to get their infamous popcorn milk tea. They had samples of their fireee Manor milk tea and still thinking about that tea quality hours later. Popcorn milk tea tasted exactly how I thought it would -- caramelized, buttery notes with quality black tea and milk with each sip. A unique milk tea for sure. Their jade oolong was a miss for me sadly and why did I randomly taste a hint of banana?! People have compared this to Orobae (rest in peace).. but Toro has paved its own way into the SoCal milk tea scene and into my cold heart. read more

12/8/25 - I got the Popcorn Milktea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi ($7.60 before tax) since it is the drink they are most known for. The tea tasted like caramel popcorn and not in an overwhelmingly sugary way. What stood out to me most was the tapiochi! The tapiochi looked like your typical jelly topping but was firmer and had more chewiness. I also like how it was already cut into cubes, since other places will just put a chunk of jelly in the drink and I have to stab with my straw to break it up. Overall the flavor was good! In general I don't think boba should cost $8+ but it seems like prices will just keep going up and getting too expensive everywhere. There is no outdoor seating, very limited indoor seating, and no tables so it would not be a good place to study or do work. If its not too busy inside it can be a good place to just hang out/catch up with friends. read more

Came here on a whim and definitely wasn't disappointed. Walked in and immediately was impressed with the ambiance of the place. It is very aesthetically pleasing, they offer samples/tastings of different things and have a pretty big menu. I stopped here because I was particularly looking for something caffeine free and found their cassia milk tea. It was delicious. I tried it with the brown sugar tapioca as it comes and that was soft and tasty. I ended up coming back and trying to soft top which was yummy on it too. Not necessary but delicious. Really glad I spontaneously stopped here ! read more

Torotea has been my go-to spot since its grand opening in 2024! Their drinks are all so fragrant, and I have most likely tried every drink the key. My favorite milk tea is the Koan-I'm with the black tea jelly, and for fruit drink, it would be osmanthus citrusy refresher, which is a very refreshing and light drink. The ambiance is very calm, and it's a very modern interior. There's limited seating though, and more of a grab & go spot. The staff are always friendly and thorough with every explanation of drinks everytime I bring a new friend here! I'd recommend checking it out if you're in the area. read more
Came around 9pm on a Tuesday with no wait. It was still moderately busy with many people inside. The decor of the store is very pleasant as well. The drinks are always super good. I would recommend this place for a light and refreshing drink. read more

I've been disappointed by so many new boba places recently that Torotea pleasantly surprised me. It's not often that I would be willing to cheat on one of my regular spots but I would just to come here again. Torotea has their own unique rendition of boba called tapiochi. The Brown Sugar Tapiochi had a soft but subtle bite to it but I actually liked my friend's Black Tea Tapiochi more as it felt more unique! The drinks were tea forward which I prefer and weren't too sweet! (big praise coming from an Asian) The staff were really nice and offered us samples and stickers. The interior was super cool and I liked the aesthetic they were going for! I definitely want to come back and try some of their fruit teas :) pro tip: you can join ahead on their "waitlist" since it might get busy esp on the weekends read more
What a unique set of flavors! This isn't my first time at torotea, but it sure is my first time at the diamond bar location. When we first arrive, we were required to join a waitlist through yelp due to max capacity. After 5-10 mins, we were allowed in to order. We ordered 4 drinks, and to be honest, they did take a while for these drinks to come out, but some were super delicious there's not a lot of tables, and definitely not somewhere you'd wanna study at, but the aesthetics are really nice, especially for pictures. Here's my personal rating for each drinks: Jasmine oolong milk tea [5/10]: it was alright, there's nothing special I really like about this drink. Not too sweet, but not too bland either. There's definitely better jasmine out there. Matcha Einspanner [4/10]: I'm a little bias because I do have a bit of a sweet tooth. This matcha tasted ok, but like the jasmine, there's better matcha einspanner out there. Popcorn milk tea [7/10]: it definitely got me some time to get used to, but once you get to the tapiochi, it really elevates the flavors of this drink. Tastes like caramel popcorn Crème brûlée ice milk [8/10]: really creamy! Definitely my top out of all the drinks. Very sweet and very non-lactose intolerant friendly. Torotea has become one of my go-to's for high quality tea and unique drink offerings! This location is pretty small with limited seating. Parking is not a problem though. The inside is warm, cozy and almost cave like. The service is always super friendly and they usually offer samples of new teas that they've dropped. My usual drink here is the Koan-Im Oolong Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapioca Mochi. Koan-Im 10/10 - A perfect drink in my eyes. As someone who loves oolong milk tea, I think torotea has the best one I've tried. It has a great balance of sweetness without compromising the roasted, tea flavor of the oolong. Other places skew one way, but this one is a great blend of both. The brown sugar tapioca mochi is also super addicting with bouncy chew and brown sugar sweetness. I highly recommend checking out Torotea! They've got high quality tea with unique flavors and offerings that are different from your typical boba shop. read more

I was in Socal for Halloween and after lunch, my friends and I wanted some boba. We were recommended to try this boba spot. Wow! The inside of this shop was so aesthetically pleasing to me. I loved it! The customer service was great too. The workers all seemed happy and offered us samples. I went with the Popcorn Milk Tea because where else am I going to find this?! I have never seen Popcorn Milk Tea anywhere! I thought it was pretty good and unique. All of my friends tried it and all of us had different reactions. Some thought it wasn't bad, some thought it was subtle and some thought it was too much and it wasn't for them. For me, I thought it was subtle and a unique flavor so I didn't mind it. We ordered Popcorn milktea and Osmanthus Citrus Refresher and both of them are worth to try. I really like the creamy taste of popcorn milktea - it does taste like popcorn! And the osmanthus citrus is much more than I expected. I love that they compliment the drinks with different types of tea jelly, and no boba (i'm not a boba person). Overally, definitely I will come back again for their drinks since it's different from other stores and it's not too sweet! Also, the store is quite small and you might have to wait for a long time since they have a long line (better to order online and pick up), but have to give a big shout out to the interior design! read more
Got lucky and went on a weekday when there wasn't a wait. I do love that there's an online waitlist option though so you don't have to go and physically stand in line if there happen to be a lot of otrher people trying to go at the same time. The online waitlist also has a pretty large radius which is nice. Pretty small shop but it feels very clean and there's very limited seating Creme brulee ice milk: 5/5 this is my fav drink there and is def sweeter than most of the other drinks. Yummy!!! I heard about this place from friends so I wanted to check it out. I was eating at a nearby restaurant and added myself to the waitlist from that place. This option is very convenient btw since I hear that wait times can be very long. This is in a busy strip mall but there was ample parking and it wasn't too difficult to park. The shop is very cute. Minimalistic vibe with neutral and muted tones. The server was friendly and informative. She answered all my questions about their drinks. We ended up getting an iced cassia and an iced popcorn milk tea with their special mochi jelly. I was told that their drinks are very tea forward. It was perfect. Nice and creamy and the mochi jelly was delicious. It's hard to pick a drink there because they don't really come with descriptions so I am curious to try more drinks and learn more about what they have to offer so I can check out others. Looking forward to coming back and trying more. read more
My cousin suggested this place. Never had to join a waitlist to order boba...lol. When we signed up, it was about a 30-40 min wait and it was near closing time around 9pm ish. You cant just walk in so we waited for a text to let us know it was "our turn." Walked in to order and took another 20min to get our drinks. So...this spot was "mid" as the SoCal people would say lol. Tried the Popcorn Milk Tea supposedly one of their best sellers but it wasn't my cup of tea. You could taste the buttery popcorn flavor but it didn't taste good as a milk tea imo. I will say the brown sugar tapiochi was good/unique (tapioca mochi) bc we don't have that topping option in our boba shops in NorCal but all and all, not worth the wait. read more
We visited Torotea on a Friday night and they were busy but our drinks came out fast. We ordered their Matcha Duo Einspanner and it was delicious. Their customer service was very friendly. I love boba spots that focus on unique and high quality teas! So glad they're expanding and have a yelp waitlist you can check into online. Their mochi-like boba topping is really fun texture wise and has more chew than Sunright's mochi topping. Definitely one of my go to spots! read more
When my friend and I got there, parking and ordering was easy, however when we were leaving, the lot was very busy and the line went out the door. It seems like you have to find the right time to go if you want to avoid the rush. I was curious about the craze about the popcorn milk tea. I thought it was good, but not amazing. I think I enjoyed the tea they were sampling more, which I believe was the Uva. Now that I've had it, I don't think I feel the need to return. It's a little pricey for what it is as well. It was cutely decorated inside, but hard to find a place to sit or stand. We had to wait a little until we could sit and enjoy our tea. read more
At the top of my list for fresh teas. I've visited both locations in So Ca. but this is their original location and closer to my residence. Located in a strip center where parking is complimentary. The servers here are welcoming and friendly. This location is modern and has ample seating if you feel like enjoying your beverage in house. Last visit here I tried the Calamasi Oolong Twist at 50% sweetness which was refreshing and tasty. I'll certainly return to Torotea at either location in Diamond Bar or San Marino. read more

I've tried to come to Torotea a few times before, but every time, the waitlist was too long or it was closed for the night. The waitlist was like 30+ people long on a Sunday afternoon-- I was SHOCKED. We thought there would be an alternative in-person queue or something, but there isn't, so better to wait from the comfort of your own home (there is someone that stands outside and will not let you in until you are at the front of the waitlist). While inside, the experience was great!! The baristas are very knowledgeable about the drinks and are welcoming to any questions about the menu. They also have samples available before you order! They are known for their toppings, which are jellies/mochi that are made in-house. I thought the teas were nice and fragrant, tasting of great quality, and paired really nicely with the unique toppings! We tried the Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi, Mulberry Oolong with Osmanthus Jelly, and the Bamboo Jade Oolong Milk Tea (that they were sampling) with the Barley Jelly. All drinks were great, and the Mulberry was also a really nice fruity drink! I thought they were all really great, but I felt like the drinks didn't justify the hour wait for a drink. read more
I absolutely love Torotea. Not only is the interior so unique and cozy but their drinks are amazing. I always add my name to the waitlist before I get there as it can be a 15-20 min wait at minimum. When you get there check in with the staff at the door close to your time, we went when we were 4th in line. They always have samples available and this time it was a bamboo jasmine oolong I believe. The drink was so good I ended up ordering it with their brown sugar jellies. My boyfriend is obsessed with the crème brulee drink. We went on Valentine's Day so they had a little strawberry on top. The cashier was very bubbly and outgoing and made the experience a good one as always. read more

Finally got around to trying Torotea after hearing all the hype about it! I came on a Thursday afternoon and there were only 2 parties ahead in line - drinks were ready within 5-7 minutes after placing the order. It looks like there were two ordering pads on the side of the left wall upon walking in but they weren't not available when I went in. Only one cashier available to take your order otherwise. Limited seating available inside. Ordered the Popcorn Milk Tea with Tapiochi (Tapioca Mochi, $6.95), Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea ($6.25), and Jasmine Matcha Latte ($6.95). Though the popcorn milk tea was a speciality and all the rave, I wasn't a fan as it reminded me of the popcorn jelly bean flavor; unique but not for me. I enjoyed the jasmine matcha as its a but different than the standard Jasmine milk tea I usually order at other boba shops. The floral jasmine flavor is strong but not overpowering.
