Madagascar Vanilla Caffe Latte (Close Up)
    Ian A.

I had a good experience at Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar). I ordered the Madagascar Vanilla Caffe Latte ($7 - Large - Iced). It's three shots of espresso, milk, and Madagascar vanilla syrup. I felt awake after sipping. It's TASTY, fresh coffee! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card or Contactless Payment.) I arrived at Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) on Thursday (around 9:17AM). Parking is easy. The lot is spacious and big. However, this business has awful visibility; it's very easy for new guests to overlook it. But like a strongly guarded secret, this business is POPULAR. Staff is efficient and amicable. Staff is polite and knowledgeable, but Staff is also curt and very focused on crafting their coffee. My coffee took four minutes and 26 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Madagascar Vanilla Caffe Latte ($7 - Large - Iced). When thoroughly stirred, the coffee's true flavor blossoms. The potency becomes balanced, and the taste of vanilla & roasted coffee lithely intertwine. The aftertaste is reminiscent of a smoky caramel. There's utility and personality in this freshly brewed coffee. It's easy to understand why this spot is so popular. On ambiance, Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) is a study/work paradise. Unlike the tiny outside, the interior is unexpectedly spacious. There's about six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details are in small text on the counter's menu. The location also has about four tables, one long wooden table, and five mini portable tables. In addition, Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) is clean, well-maintained, and well-ventilated. There's a gender neutral restroom in the back, and the music is chill & calm. The location is filled with working college students whispering about Harvard and preparing for the future. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar). The coffee is affordable, good quality, and functional. The location is comfortable and calm. If searching for a wonderful study/work spot, this is a very easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5!

I've had mixed feelings about this place. I used to think it was just okay, but last time I went I had a blueberry specialty coffee drink and actually really enjoyed it. Their matcha is okay, but I think their coffee is great here. Just be warned, they are typically understaffed, and the wait can be long, I think a lot of it comes from big group orders. They do have very unique seating though.

Coffee and matcha: 10/5 -creamy, rich, not too sweet Service great -coffee gets made fast Vibes good - good for studying, seating got cushions now Come here at least one every week

I have been to this cafe so many times that it has been the go to meet up spot with my friends. This place has helped me get through college and more! The staff are so nice and they even remember how to make my friends drink by memory! I will say, studying here is a bit hard just because the seating isn't ideal to sit on for a long period of time, but that's just me of course. Other than that, it's a place where I have had so many long conversations with friends and more!

Came in on a Thursday at 1pm. Most of the seating was taken and seems like thjs place is laptop friendly. The ambiance is more on the trendy side, with wooden but tasteful seating, art hanging on the walls and a unique chair in the corner for what seems to be a photo-op. I ordered the iced cream top hojicha latte and my drink was ready in less than 3 minutes. It was so fast, I'm not even sure if they make the mix hojicha powder on the spot or if it's pre-made. Regardless, the drink was tasty and well made. This ran me $7 ($8 if with oat milk) and tipping optional. Grid Coffee is one of the better coffee/matcha/hojicha spots in the Walnut/Diamond Bar/Pomona/Rowland Heights area

First time I came here I thought the latte I got was just ok. Wanted to try a different flavor and saw they had a cookie butter latte. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this tasted! The cookie butter foam was so good and matched perfectly with their coffee! This will be my new go to latte for a while!

Can a coffee place in Diamond Bar be this good? Yes, and that place is Grid Coffee. The store's simple layout shines brightly with the bold flavors it offers. I love their lavender latte, and many of these tasty pastries pair perfectly with a nice morning cup of Joe. Yes yes, I will be back for sure!

What a cute cafe! I loved their kyoto cold brew and my bf got mojito coffee and he liked it a lot. We thought it was better mojito coffee than philz coffee. The vibe is nice and we liked the cafe interior. Will be definitely back.

Hot Vanilla Latte to go with

On a cold, rainy day, I needed a caffeine fix near Mt. Sac and found Grid Coffee thanks to Yelp. The photos and menu sold me instantly! From the parking lot, I thought it was just a small spot with an order window, but inside it's surprisingly spacious with clean lines and a minimal, Japanese-inspired aesthetic; super inviting. I ordered my go-to hot vanilla latte and couldn't resist grabbing a brownie, too. The latte was excellent, not all lattes are created equal, and this one had strong, smoky espresso flavor without being overly sweet. It absolutely hit the spot. The brownie came as a neatly cut rectangle of chocolatey goodness, pleasing to both the eyes and the taste buds. The calm, welcoming vibe of the shop was made even better by the lo-fi soundtrack playing in the background, such a nice touch that really set the mood. All in all, Grid Coffee is a little gem for anyone in the area. Great drinks, tasty treats, and an atmosphere that just feels right. I'll definitely be back!

I WFH and Grid Coffee is my go-to caffeine pick me up. It's local to school drop off. I "try" to limit myself to 1 coffee/caffeine splurge a week. I seem to gravitate to the Cookie Butter Caffe Latte and may add a croffle as a treat. Seriously chef's kiss.

My absolute favorite local cafe, and even more that, one of the best blueberry matcha lattes, with oat milk, I've ever had in the world. I'm always searching for something comparable but I've never found anything in the ballpark of this taste. They used to have chia seeds in their blueberry syrup too which I loved but it seems to be removed now based on my last three visits. There are still whole blueberries at the bottom. My mom's favorite is the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk. Anytime I'm in town, I will make it a point to come here and was recommended this spot and have been recommending it to others myself as well. Although I personally haven't gotten the coffee here, I've heard only good things. There was always people here anytime I visit, a testament to it actually being good. I highly recommend coming to Grid Coffee!

Dropped into Grid Coffee while I was in the neighborhood. It was a cold, rainy day but the parking lot had plenty of spaces and the line moved quickly. Ordered a hot vanilla latte and a brownie for the road. Both hit the spot. Service was quick and polite. The cafe itself is large, welcoming, and has a relaxed vibe. Definitely a great place to warm up, hang out, or get some work done.

    Do they accept cash?

    They do not

Is this a good place to study?

Depends, if you have many books and need space, they only have one long table that could be most comfortable for that. I've seen a few people study there the times I've come and they've utilized the table. They have two other seating arrangements…

Hi, does this coffee place offers gift card?

Yes, they do sell gift cards.

Do they make their own coffee? If so, do they sell the beans at the store?

Do they have outdoor seating for people with dogs or are dogs allowed?

Yes they do! For both questions. I have brought my dog here several times.

Does the matcha powder used have sugar in it?

Yes, it does! They said it is pre-sweetened. I always order a strawberry matcha latte and you can choose to have less strawberry or matcha to make it less sweet.

    What is the einspanner?

Viennese coffee with a lot of whipped cream on top. Typically drunk through the cream, without mixing.

For the pastries, it looked like a lot of the ones I was hoping from browsing online were not available. I ended up getting the biscoff cheesecake. It was on the sweeter side but it was very good. For the drink, I ended up getting the banana latte. Been on a streak of getting that lately so wanted to compare with other stores. I didn't get a lot of banana in the taste. At least it had an espresso shot for the caffeine fix and did not taste like the artificial banana. Nothing special there and stand out. For the interior, they had a few seating they primarily accommodated a few groups of four and two. I was able to grab a bench seat that had an outlet. However, there wasn't enough space for my laptop and the items I ordered. WiFi was available but it had a 90 minute limit. The store had a moderate noise level and stayed busy throughout the time that I was there. The service on the order was quick and they do bring it out to you. The store also has their own house espresso which was a medium dark roast. American Express is accepted as a payment option here. Overall, it was a decent work spot. If I come back, I'd prefer to try another drink and hope other pastries are available. Would recommend the biscoff cheesecake for those that want something sweet and the house coffee beans for those that like medium roasts.

They smeared Biscoff spread on the cup and used just enough syrup so that I could taste the cookie butter but not to the point where it was overly sweet. In fact, I would argue that it wasn't that sweet at all and the espresso was a lot stronger. There were a few cookie crumbs at the bottom too so I'm not sure if they incorporated it in the syrup or if it just sank to the bottom by the time I got my drink. I also tried the hot horchata latte but it seemed more like a regular latte sprinkled with cinnamon powder because there didn't seem to be any syrup. I loved the vibes on the rainy Monday I visited and a lot of people were in there working or studying, since there were outlets against the wall. The workers were nice and approachable, and the drinks came out quickly.
