This review is LONG OVERDUE! :) I've been coming here since December 2021 & it's hands down my favorite coffee shop in Diamond Bar. I'm a matcha person so I've only ever gotten their matcha, and if not just their strawberry hibiscus (no longer served), herbal tea, and strawberry milk. I love their selection of matcha: strawberry with chunks. One of the best I've had! Their blueberry matcha is pretty delicious also. The customer service is great. Everyone is kind and efficient. I'd say the baristas kind of keep to themselves though and aren't overly enthusiastic. But overall, still welcoming & nice! The atmosphere is simple with wood seating areas. I like it. However sitting for a long duration can be a little uncomfortable since there's not much back support, but luckily they have a basket with padded pillows to sit on. Recently they added tables along the corner nook area which is great! Aside from that they have little tray-like table tops to set your drinks on or laptops/books/etc; while working. There's also plenty of outlets which is a plus. Not to mention they always seem to have a good playlist goin' :) Oh! & they have outside seating as well underneath shaded umbrellas. My only complaint is it gets really hot in there during the hotter months. Especially since they're facing south and catch all the direct light early on in the day. Don't get me wrong, I love the natural lighting! It's just more prone to getting hotter & I'm not sure if they have A/C. I'm sure they probably do but it's never been exactly cold in there like most coffee shops, mainly room temperature. All in all Grid is a great spot! I highly recommend :) read more

Got the cookie butter latte and double iced matcha latte. Good and definitely on the sweeter, extra creamy side compared to most coffee shops. I didn't really taste the biscoff cookie much though. Matcha is usually hit or miss for me (honestly, I still prefer making it at home lol), but their double matcha iced latte actually hits. You can taste the matcha, and it's super smooth and creamy without being overpowering. If you're into that richer, creamier style of drinks, this place does it right, highly recommend. It's in a shared plaza with markets and restaurants, so parking is easy. Also a great spot to hang out or get some work done, very spacious, trendy, and usually pretty busy, but drinks still come out fast (around 5-10 mins). read more

Came in on a Thursday at 1pm. Most of the seating was taken and seems like thjs place is laptop friendly. The ambiance is more on the trendy side, with wooden but tasteful seating, art hanging on the walls and a unique chair in the corner for what seems to be a photo-op. I ordered the iced cream top hojicha latte and my drink was ready in less than 3 minutes. It was so fast, I'm not even sure if they make the mix hojicha powder on the spot or if it's pre-made. Regardless, the drink was tasty and well made. This ran me $7 ($8 if with oat milk) and tipping optional. My absolute favorite local cafe, and even more that, one of the best blueberry matcha lattes, with oat milk, I've ever had in the world. I'm always searching for something comparable but I've never found anything in the ballpark of this taste. They used to have chia seeds in their blueberry syrup too which I loved but it seems to be removed now based on my last three visits. There are still whole blueberries at the bottom. My mom's favorite is the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk. Anytime I'm in town, I will make it a point to come here and was recommended this spot and have been recommending it to others myself as well. Although I personally haven't gotten the coffee here, I've heard only good things. There was always people here anytime I visit, a testament to it actually being good. A quaint little coffee shop that looks small from the outside but spacious inside. There is a couple of tables outdoor and ample indoor seats. The wooden benches are not the most comfortable for long-term seating. I get the vibe they're going for. It's hip and aesthetic with clean lines. The service was quick and friendly. The drinks were excellent. I had the Blue Lavender Matcha Latte and it was really good. It hit the spot. The Dalgona Caffe Latte was not only good but pleasing to the eyes as well. I've been coming to grid coffee ever since it opened and since my office is nearby. Typically if you get a plain latte, you're gonna get a decent cup of coffee. My issue with this location as of the last year is that their flavored drinks are way too sweet. I tried the cherry mocha a couple months ago, and it blew out my palette. Just yesterday, I decided to take a gamble and try their pistachio coffee. It was awful, it literally tasted like melted ice cream that was way too sweet. My biggest regret is not having tried it before I left the place. Nine dollars including tip down the drain because I threw it away as soon as I got home. The biggest problem with this particular location is their failure to balance their drinks. I prefer the Santa Ana location by a mile. read more

On a cold, rainy day, I needed a caffeine fix near Mt. Sac and found Grid Coffee thanks to Yelp. The photos and menu sold me instantly! From the parking lot, I thought it was just a small spot with an order window, but inside it's surprisingly spacious with clean lines and a minimal, Japanese-inspired aesthetic; super inviting. I ordered my go-to hot vanilla latte and couldn't resist grabbing a brownie, too. The latte was excellent, not all lattes are created equal, and this one had strong, smoky espresso flavor without being overly sweet. It absolutely hit the spot. The brownie came as a neatly cut rectangle of chocolatey goodness, pleasing to both the eyes and the taste buds. The calm, welcoming vibe of the shop was made even better by the lo-fi soundtrack playing in the background, such a nice touch that really set the mood. Dropped into Grid Coffee while I was in the neighborhood. It was a cold, rainy day but the parking lot had plenty of spaces and the line moved quickly. So hard to decide which one was my favorite. They were all yummy so I think it just depends on your mood! Service was friendly, excellent and quick! The vibe was clean and minimalist. From the outside, this coffee shop looked deceivingly small and narrow. However, we were greeted by a wide, open space and a high ceiling when we stepped in. The interior has a minimalistic, modern, and industrial design. I ordered the Cookie Butter Caffe Latte with soy milk, and I asked for less sweet. This drink was creamy and yummy, and I could really taste the cookie butter. I loved the cookie bits. Even at "less sweet," it was still sweet but not overly so. A modern coffee shop with minimalist aesthetics serving up a variety of pastries and coffee. We came on a weekend afternoon and there was a small line which moved quickly. I decided to get the berry and matcha scone along with a Mocha Caffe Latte. I enjoyed the scone which was moist and flavorful, and the mocha caffe latte was refreshing on a warm day. The chocolate did have an artificial taste to it though which I wasn't a huge fan of. Service was standard. Inside seating is available in a stadium type of setting, as well as on the floor which was interesting as I have never seen a coffee shop with that type of seating. Came here on an early Sunday morning, since it was the only place open with coffee. I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked in. Lots of great drink options and appears to be quality ingredients. From the outside, the place looks a bit small, but it's actually very roomy inside. I ordered the blueberry coffee with milk and it was a bit too sweet for me. Maybe it was the blueberry compote. The coffee here was excellent! The coffee flavor was the perfect strength and paired well with the madagascar vanilla, allowing it to express its notes through each sip. The workers were attentive and efficient with my drink being made in like 5 minutes or less. I also find the location really cute, sandwiched between two buildings and being a little hole in the wall café. There are a lot of seats inside and it's spacious despite the humble exterior. I was also taken aback by the price, being $6 for the coffee which is quite reasonable in comparison to the highway robbery performed by other beverage places nowadays. While nothing in particular stood out to me as a "to-die-for" or "must-try" coffee, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely come back! read more

Service was just about average, definitely had a small wait for the coffee but it seemed like they were just being careful so mileage may vary. The seating though in my opinion was pretty subpar. Seating was either sit in the floor with a cushion or sit along the wall on these large steps basically. Not too comfortable. They did have normal seating with a normal table but space was all taken up due to how little room there is. I would say come here for the coffee or drinks but not stay. Dalgona coffee latte and the Matcha Coconut Cloud are my personal favorites! I think this is the best coffee shop in the Diamond Bar area, no question. This place is tucked away in a very slim entrance in an unimpressive old plaza off grand and db blvd. However, this place is very nice and clean inside. They have a nice extensive menu of coffee and some seasonal stuff. There's just so much stuff I want to try. Their lattes are great option and would get their matcha lattes here and there. In terms of seating, I wouldn't say a great studying spot just because there's only one table. Most of the seating is surrounding the walls.. almost like mini bleachers. Its a good hangout spot. We'll prob come back if we're in the db area. read more

Great place to study or catch up with friends! 10/10 recommend the Blueberry Matcha with Oatmilk. The blueberries were a good touch; probably one of the best fruit infused matchas I've ever had! Their einspanner is amazing, it's got a great balance of coffee to sweetness from the foam. I've also tried some of their other lattes and boy if this place was closer I'd be a regular! Good spot to hangout, study, whatever, go after a hike. Friendly staff and seating. read more

What a hidden little spot in Diamond Bar! I stopped by here for a cup of joe in the morning around 8am. I was disappointed to see that they had a very empty bakery display set, and that I had to settle for a waffle piece. To my luck, they were refilling the display case right after I had ordered. But, the blessing in disguise is that I got to try their amazing croissant waffle! It appears that they have pressed a croissant into a waffle maker, and broiled it with a sugar glaze on the top. It was so good! I didn't want to get coffee and therefore opted for a strawberry matcha. They gave a healthy amount of strawberry syrup, and you can tell there is real fruit in there with some fruit bits. It was a bit on the sweeter side for me though. There are plenty of seats available, though are wooden chairs and benches which may not be the most comfortable. There are also charging ports as well for those longer study sessions. It has a very simple modern look and I totally would spend half a day working out of this coffee shop. read more

The menu is very confusing. Why have an espresso part of a menu and a cold brew section if there are lattes in BOTH sections? Calling something a Mojito iced coffee and it being half milk isn't an iced coffee... Plus when we went in it was VERY hot and uncomfortable. Some mans back in there was covered in sweat.
