Vibes are chill as many people order their drinks and stick around to study; and they have a bin of cushions for people to use and sit on since all of the seating is wooden. The staff are so nice and they even remember how to make my friends drink by memory! Got the cookie butter latte and double iced matcha latte. Good and definitely on the sweeter, extra creamy side compared to most coffee shops. I didn't really taste the biscoff cookie much though. Matcha is usually hit or miss for me (honestly, I still prefer making it at home lol), but their double matcha iced latte actually hits. You can taste the matcha, and it's super smooth and creamy without being overpowering. If you're into that richer, creamier style of drinks, this place does it right, highly recommend. I think this is the best coffee shop in the Diamond Bar area, no question. This place is tucked away in a very slim entrance in an unimpressive old plaza off grand and db blvd. However, this place is very nice and clean inside. They have a nice extensive menu of coffee and some seasonal stuff. There's just so much stuff I want to try. Their lattes are great option and would get their matcha lattes here and there. In terms of seating, I wouldn't say a great studying spot just because there's only one table. What a hidden little spot in Diamond Bar! I stopped by here for a cup of joe in the morning around 8am. I was disappointed to see that they had a very empty bakery display set, and that I had to settle for a waffle piece. To my luck, they were refilling the display case right after I had ordered. But, the blessing in disguise is that I got to try their amazing croissant waffle! It appears that they have pressed a croissant into a waffle maker, and broiled it with a sugar glaze on the top. It was so good! I didn't want to get coffee and therefore opted for a strawberry matcha. They gave a healthy amount of strawberry syrup, and you can tell there is real fruit in there with some fruit bits. It was a bit on the sweeter side for me though. There are plenty of seats available, though are wooden chairs and benches which may not be the most comfortable. There are also charging ports as well for those longer study sessions. It has a very simple modern look and I totally would spend half a day working out of this coffee shop. read more

Blueberry Caffe Latte (made with cold brew) was about 90% ice with maybe 6 sips of drink, which made us pretty upset. If that's just how they make their cold brew lattes, there wasn't a disclaimer anywhere about serving a brick of ice. The drink itself was light-tasting and borderline watery (getting less sweet probably didn't help), but I can't imagine how diluted it'd be with all that ice melted. And heads up, if you ask for less sweet, they give you less of the blueberry chia sauce, which we weren't informed of upon ordering. The stack of ice made it hard to stir the drink to get to the sauce, too. Definitely not worth the money. Eispanner Latte (made with espresso) was meh, a little bland for what I was hoping to taste. I did appreciate that the thick cream topping wasn't super sweet, and the coffee used was strong. I wouldn't get it again, though. Minimal decor, minimalist wooden furniture, ample parking. Service was ok, as they could work on communication. Like taking the initiative to inform customers and being up front about things that may seem different. At least someone replenished the toilet paper in the bathroom right away when we asked, so that was nice. After reading all the gleaming reviews, I thought Grid Coffee would be a hidden gem, but it was mostly disappointing. An excellent cold brew. Great balance of dalgona flavor, coffee flavor, and milk. It was smooth, sweet, nutty, and toffee-like. It was rather strong as my heart shot up to the ceiling but that's typical of a cold brew. Anyway, I would definitely order this again. Service could be improved. When I entered, there was no barista to be found. I could hear a lot of chatter behind the curtain. Eventually within a few minutes someone came out, didn't apologize for the wait and just asked what I wanted to order. The barista didn't seem like he wanted to be there. The interior is very much minimalist. The seating area looks highly uncomfortable. On one side of the wall, there's a giant wooden rectangular block with raised tables in a stadium type seating. On the other part of the wall, there's a communal table with wooden square stools. When I went, the stadium seating area was practically filled. There was slow smooth jazz music playing in the background. Other than the communal indoor seating, there's also some patio seating. I enjoyed the Dalgona Caffe Latte. I could barely taste the coffee. - normal latte This is a very safe choice for anyone looking to check them out. The coffee taste does linger in your mouth a bit and it doesn't taste acidic. Croffles I've tried: - matcha with freeze dried strawberry This is definitely very indulgent and sweet. Although the matcha white chocolate glaze is really sweet, the matcha flavor is pretty strong. - cinnamon sugar This one is a lot chewier and you can ask for it to be heated up! Mine was not heated up well enough but it was still good. Overall: It's a really cozy spot during the weekdays when there's not too many people. I've been coming to grid coffee ever since it opened and since my office is nearby. Typically if you get a plain latte, you're gonna get a decent cup of coffee. My issue with this location as of the last year is that their flavored drinks are way too sweet. I tried the cherry mocha a couple months ago, and it blew out my palette. Just yesterday, I decided to take a gamble and try their pistachio coffee. It was awful, it literally tasted like melted ice cream that was way too sweet. My biggest regret is not having tried it before I left the place. Nine dollars including tip down the drain because I threw it away as soon as I got home. The biggest problem with this particular location is their failure to balance their drinks. I prefer the Santa Ana location by a mile. read more

Was in the area for a visit to a sister vet hospital and saw Grid on my way in. Looked up their menu and saw they offer a variety of matcha options and had to stop by before heading into work. Small little shop hidden on the right when you enter the plaza. Parking is shared with many other businesses but fairly easy to get parking. Its a large open concept store with very minimal decor inside. There are just large wooden benches that is shared with other individuals. Looks like a lot of individuals came here to do school or work here. There was a small menu display at the front of the counter so if its your first time, you may be blocking the register for others to order. I was debating between the cream matcha or the blue lavender matcha. A young korean gentleman helped me and suggested I get the blue lavender. They had a few food options and I was hesitant on purchasing the avocado toast for $12 but my hunger got the best of me. Blue lavender matcha was delish. Definitely a distinct lavender taste and the right amount of milk to give it a milky taste. The lavender did not over power the matcha which still has the right amount of bitterness. I definitely enjoyed my drink. Avocado toast had the right amount of crunch to doughy toast texture from their sourdough bread they used. Generous avocado to toast ratio topped with cottage cheese and I believe sun dried tomato with a balsamic glaze. It was accompanied with arugula salad with a light balsamic drizzle as well. Definitely would want to return here if I'm ever in the area to try their other matcha options. I believe this place is a family owned business. There was an older korean gentleman that was EXTREMELY attentive to all guest and had a clean factor of 100%. He was meticulous on brushing the coffee grounds on the counter with a brush. There wasn't much of a line when I went in but the line quickly formed soon after. The line seemed to be moving pretty quickly though, and the drinks also came out soon after ordering so don't be discouraged. Service was friendly and helpful. I went with a strawberry matcha (I saw majority of customers ordering the matcha so it's what I went with as well). Their menu does have a bit of everything and there are different ways you can customize your drink. They only have a menu at the front when ordering. I would suggest looking up the menu beforehand so you have an idea of what you want instead of waiting until you're at the front and hold everyone up (always the worst feeling). My drink came out quickly and I got back on the road. The strawberry was almost jam-like. It was sweet but delicious. I would get chunks of strawberry here and there. You really have to mix it well to have all the flavors blend together. The matcha is also really good, and despite the strawberry goodness, you still get the taste of the matcha. It was so good. The workers were attentive and efficient with my drink being made in like 5 minutes or less. I also find the location really cute, sandwiched between two buildings and being a little hole in the wall café. There are a lot of seats inside and it's spacious despite the humble exterior. I was also taken aback by the price, being $6 for the coffee which is quite reasonable in comparison to the highway robbery performed by other beverage places nowadays.
