Happened to be at the right place at the right time for the grand opening of outpost. I was eating nearby and saw a line so I decided to go check it out. They actually had a grand opening special while supplies last, they were giving away a free outpost coffee. It was nice that there was no catch, the guy taking orders was very friendly and was doing his best to go through the very long line. The coffee was actually quite good. This place used to be an arcade so it is quite awesome to see it transformed to this coffee shop. Decor looks really nice. The service and ambiance are great. Fast paced cafe with your order coming out quick. Next to the local community college so lots of traffic, so a good amount of noise, music may be too loud for some. There is ample space to get working and the energy does make it easy to get on it. Got the Ube-Ube, the drink was okay/10. I love Ube, and I like coffee, and love Ube-Coffee, but this one was a miss. The color is very purple so you'd imagine a lot of ube flavor, but it's much more tame than I expected. The coffee itself was decent, but the Ube flavor left much to be desired. Honestly maybe it ruined the coffee flavor. A lot of people were ordering their food though and seemed pretty happy so there's that. Really hoping this was just a one off experience. Reviewing this location as it's the more relevant one to my experience. This was originally posted on the other location. Outpost is a clean and spacious coffee shop. Among the countless amount of times I've been at the Diamond Bar location, I have been greeted warmly every time by the baristas working there. However, the bar must have been raised too high by the excellent in-house service, because I had an experience that turned my views completely sour. I commented on their Grand Opening instagram post, which contained Al-generated art. My comment was deleted and once I pointed that out, I was blocked shortly after this, within minutes. Now I get that businesses can do as they desire, however, this instantly repulsed me because it feels like they don't care about their community. Additionally, it reflects on them as a business in which they handle criticism, something that is inevitable when you serve the community. (They turned off the comments, as well.) They unblocked me to send me a message the following day, which I included in this review. Go here if you are looking for coffee close to you, but if you care about the full picture such as ethical labor practices, customer service, usage of Al, and attention to detail, I'm not sure if this is the right place for you. Specialty drinks are not cheap, and I'm thankful that Outpost showed me their true colors before I spent even more money here. They reminded me that there are other small family-owned businesses out there who also spend 100+ hour workweeks and don't treat people like this. read more

It's so nice to have a new coffee shop in Walnut, especially because there are surprisingly very little options in the area. I've been coming here at least once a week since their soft opening, and it's quickly become one of my go-to spots. I love their Outpost Latte. It has great flavor, and most importantly, you can actually taste the coffee. The shop itself is very modern, clean, and low key, with plenty of seating, so it's a nice spot to grab a coffee without feeling rushed. It'd also be a good spot to sit and work for a bit. Everyone I've interacted with so far has also been really nice. Parking is abundant, although the area can get pretty busy with Mt. SAC right across the street. Overall, really happy to have Outpost in the neighborhood and excited to keep coming back! read more

This is a modern and spacious coffee shop that, according to their sign, just opened a few days ago. I came early on a weekend but there were several customers already. Line moved pretty quickly and the staff at the counter was friendly, fast and knowledgeable. She offered me a sample of their signature outpost latte while explaining the coffee. It was so good! You can actually taste the coffee and it's not overly sweet. I ended up getting it as well as a Hibiscus tea at 50% sweetness. The drinks came out fast. One thing to note is that the lid was loose when it was handed to me. Good thing I always check before lifting my drinks. Outpost Coffee has a new outpost in Walnut! Recently opened on the plaza across from Mt. SAC, Outpost has completely renovated the spaces that was formerly a beauty spa and Duke Bakery (& another bakery prior to that). Interior is super spacious and bright. Plenty of seating available for people working or studying or just wanting to hang out. There's merch when you first walk in, offering bags with a drawing of their Diamond Bar location. There's also a roasting machine in house, so cool! It's only been a couple weeks since they've opened but they are already getting a ton of customers! I suppose the timing of the first week of school at Mt. SAC has helped tremendously. I am so happy that Outpost has already attracted so many customers to the area! Baked items are available for sale, they are sourced from other vendors, although the staff I spoke with couldn't remember from where. Drinks come standard with whole milk, almond milk subs available for $1 extra. I was contemplating getting the ube drink but when the staff offered me a sample of the Outpost latte it was so good I changed my mind. Currently their soft opening hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, but I'm hoping they extend the hours as I'm sure local residents and students in the area would like to hang out here. It was my first time here at Outpost Coffee. What a pleasant and Charming coffee shop. The shop is well lit and spacious. They are using every corner strategically. They have plenty of indoor seating. The shop was busy by the time we went, but the service was excellent and fast. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The menu includes various selections of summer special, pour- over, caffeine- free drinks, refreshers, tea, espresso, cold brew, matcha, latte and more. They offer bagels, ham and cheese sandwiches, turkey and cheese sandwiches and bagels. For desserts, they have Croffles and fresh baked pastries. We ordered: Banana caramel Latte 5/5 This drink had well balance between the fruity flavor of banana, the perfect sweetness of caramel and the delicious kick of espresso which made this drink such an excellent one. Banana Matcha 5/5 The drink was creamy, rich with perfect balance between banana and matcha. Chocolate banana nutella Croffle 5/5 Rich, buttery and fluffy croffle topped with delicious chocolate nutella and sliced banana. It was decadent, such an excellentCroffle. Very disappointing and misleading grand opening promotion. The post clearly says "For our first 50 customers" and shows the T-shirts, water bottles, and tote bags, which gave the impression that there would be enough gifts for the first 50 customers. I came early specifically for the grand opening promotion, only to find out that there were reportedly only around 12-13 tumblers available. If there were limited quantities of certain gifts, that should have been clearly stated in the promotion instead of making customers believe the first 50 would receive the advertised gifts. I feel like customers were misled and wasted their time coming out early. The promotion should have been much more transparent about the actual quantities available. read more

I came to Outpost Coffee before work since they opened a new location close to me, and I'm so glad I stopped by! I got the iced Spanish latte, and it was really good. You can actually taste the coffee, and the flavor was so smooth and well-balanced. The customer service was amazing! Everyone was very welcoming, and since I came right when they opened, it wasn't busy at all. The inside is also very aesthetic and modern, which makes it such a nice spot to grab a coffee. First Soft opening day 8/14/2026 at Outpost Coffee. This one is located right across street from Mt Sac college. Outpost Coffee is bright, welcoming, and large with plenty of tables and seats inside. I tried the samples of signature latte - you would comeback for it everyday if you can. It's a solid A+ as it's sweet, creamy, smooth coffee. I ordered the Iced ube coffee. I like it - Ube is strong and it didn't overpower the coffee. It's still fairly smooth. I would rated B+. Then there is the bakery croffles. It's like a waffle and pancake combined. I will give it a B+ for uniqueness. Taste is pretty good. Come try the new spot for coffee and hangout with friends! Highly recommended! What stands out is the friendly service and vibe. They should clean the tables asap. But I understand they are still training and maybe short handed since it's just soft opening. My coffee comes out fairly fast, bakery will take slightly longer. Most overrated coffee shop I've been to. The strawberry matcha was not made with fresh strawberries and was not house made, and tasted as much. It added a syrupy artificial aftertaste that lingered in my mouth way too long. The actual matcha was decent. I also ordered a churro croffle and not only was it burnt, but it didn't taste like anything - no cinnamon flavor at all, just sweet. It was also burnt! I met up with one of my friends on Sunday here after seeing the announcement of this location's opening. I was excited to visit since I've enjoyed the DB location's offerings. The cafe space is nice and spacious, and i enjoyed the clean and cozy aesthetic. There was a line to order, but it moved pretty quickly. I was offered a sample of the Outpost latte but ended up ordering one of the seasonal offerings, the Horchata Latte, and a Churro Croffle. My drink came out pretty quickly, followed by the croffle. Staff were also super helpful. I ended up asking for another shot of syrup after tasting my latte since half sweet wasn't quite sweet enough. It makes me happy knowing I got another local coffee shop I can visit. read more

Stopped by here early Friday morning and this new location is great. Their employees are so nice and despite there being a line it goes by really quickly and the drinks and food come out pretty quickly too. The outpost latte is perfectly sweetened at half sweet and you can really taste the bold and smooth espresso. The matcha is great and the craffle is crispy and soft all at the same time. Came here right on there grand opening and they introduced new items such as Jasmine Matcha, Earl Grey matcha, and more! I got the earl grey matcha which wasn't bad and opt for their coffee drinks if you're expecting very strong matcha. I actually like matcha a bit more toned down so this one was perfect for me and the earl grey notes were present! 3.5-4 stars I still remember when this location, ions ago used to be a bakery, then another bakery, then a facial skincare location, and etc. This is the second Outpost Coffee location, with the first one being in Diamond Bar/Walnut, near the corner of Lemon and Golden Springs. I used to frequent the Diamond Bar/Walnut location here and there but with coffee getting a bit too expensive, I tapered off my latte intake drastically over the past year. Outpost Latte $7 Matcha Croffle $8 My coworker and I had been eyeing to see when this new Outpost Coffee location would finally open, and we both tried it this past week (before the first week of the Fall semester for Mt. SAC students beginning tomorrow). I did not realize that a Matcha Croffle would be $8. The display case showed $4.50? Or was it $5.50 for a Croffle, but I was not aware of what kind of Croffle flavor it would be. I had actually never even had a Croffle, let alone heard of the word "Croffle" until my visit here to Outpost. Croffle = Croissant + Waffle. So after spending $8 (more than my Latte) on a Matcha Croffle, they ran out of the Matcha Croffle. While I was waiting for my order, an employee let me know that they only had the Strawberry Croffle left. Sure, nothing I can do about it. It was (I think) whipped strawberry cream cheese, with fresh strawberries on top. It was delicious, but it was not worth the $8. The Outpost Latte is very similar to the NOLA, just with the cream top added. Overall, I do like the Outpost Latte, even though I asked for less ice - I was not provided with less ice so it was watered down coffee towards the end. I do not drink my drinks fast enough and that is why I always get less ice for iced drinks but the employee did not acknowledge my request. The employees scream college students, very fully of energy, which is great for the area that they are in. There are plenty of seating inside, and the perfect amount of interior and natural lighting. Most of the seats/tables were occupied so it is nice to see a "new" business being busy but hope that it continues to last. Currently, they do close at 4 pm, so not helpful for those who want to grab a coffee before their evening classes or want to meet there with friends or classmates to wind down the day. They do open early, so one can grab a coffee or treat before work, which is convenient. Due to the cost, I would only come here for a treat for myself. read more

First time here, and my sister and I really enjoyed it. They had really good customer service, the lady at the register was able to get me a sample before trying and I was able to add more coffee base to latte since I like my coffee stronger. Although it was pretty busy in there, we got our drinks quickly. It was pretty busy in there which is expected since there's 2 colleges nearby. It was bigger inside than I expected with lots of seating to get work done or sit with a friend. Overall I did enjoy my coffee but do think I need to come back to try more from the menu to really know how I feel about the coffee. TLDR; I plan to come here frequently whether to pick up a refreshing drink or to sit down and get some work done! Great ambiance and the drinks do not disappoint. Strongly recommend the raspberry matcha. I've come to this location a couple times now, as well as the other location in diamond bar, and I've enjoyed both. This space has an open feel with great lighting, both ambient and natural, which gives it a cozy vibe. I've come here mostly to chat and catch up with friends. However, the vibe was also good enough that a friend and I decided to come and get some studying done. The atmosphere is chill, the music was pretty fire, and even after realizing I had left my AirPods at home, I still was able to focus pretty well with the ambient noise. One thing I really appreciated was that the middle island has outlets, so I could easily charge my devices while working. As for the drinks, their iced americano bangs and the raspberry matcha is a must have. The americano is smooth and refreshing, becoming a consistent drink for me, often as my to-go order. I'm not the biggest fan on mixed matcha drinks, but the raspberry gives such a unique and great compliment in the drink. My friend also got their espresso Thai tea and he said it was "so good", and so I'm definitely trying that one next time. I'm excited for what this location has in store as it is still in its soft opening. I can see it doing well and being a reliable place to study!
