Earl grey latte (spring menu 2026)
    Francisco M.

There's a plaza parking to get here. Inside is sleek and chill. Seems like a great place to meet with a friend or some studying. The staff are nice. The drinks arrived at a good pace. They have some tasty looking pastries that unfortunately I didn't get to try. I got the earl grey latte. The drinks was smaller than expected, especially for the price. I did get the earl grey flavor occasionally. There were hints of the lavender. It was enjoy enough and not too sweet. And it wasn't too hot so you can drink right away. I'd like to try more of the drinks.

I had an adequate experience at Outpost Coffee (Diamond Bar). I ordered the Ube-Ube Coffee ($7). It's two shots of espresso with sweet ube. The initial sip is refreshing, but the coffee flavor quickly fades. As time passes, the drink tastes like sugary cereal milk. I arrived at Outpost Coffee (Diamond Bar) on Friday (around 11:48AM). The parking lot is big but busy. Fortunately, I quickly found a spot. The sign says, "2 Hour Parking Only - All Day." Staff is polite. Staff quickly took my order and answered my questions. My coffee took three minutes and 25 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Ube-Ube Coffee ($7). The caffeine is soft but uplifting. The drink is not bitter nor runny. However, the flavor of sugar and milk dominates the cup. It's not a memorable drink, but it's not bad. On ambiance, Outpost Coffee (Diamond Bar) felt a little worn down and old. The crevices were dusty and the location felt a little messy. There's about three electrical outlet. The location also has customer internet with password; details are posted on the counter. Fortunately, Outpost Coffee (Diamond Bar) has many clean tables. There's about six small interior tables, one long curved counter, and one very long table. The ceiling is tall, so the location didn't feel cramped. Overall, Outpost Coffee (Diamond Bar) is not bad. It feels shabbily maintained, but there's utility. If already nearby, I lightly recommend 4.2 out of 5

**MENU ATTACHED AS OF 03/14/26** Highlights: matcha was great and the indoor seating area has a lot of room! Great place for studying and catching up. There are some outlets available. Unfortunately the croissant I got was dry. Maybe we came on an off day? Just knocked off one star but hopefully I can try again next time I visit! I'd ideally like spots like these to have great baked goods as a little study snack. Parking is a little full but not impossible. Service was great! Baristas in front were very friendly and answered questions especially about the spring menu. Overall, I'd like to visit again especially for redemption for the baked goods.

Such a beautiful space with lots of natural lighting. It seems perfect for a nice catch-up over coffee or work session. For studying, although there are a bunch of seats, there's only three charging ports, so beware! Everyone who helped us was very kind and knowledgeable. We went in the early morning, and we were asking a bunch of questions They met us with kindness and they seemed to want us to have exactly what we wanted. For the star of da show: grapefruit tonic! This drink is incredibly nostalgic for me, as I used to have it all the time in Asia when I was in high school. I have not found a replica until now! The espresso pairs perfectly with the tonic and grapefruit. I love love love that a hint of the grapefruit's bitterness is preserved, and it is just such a well rounded drink. We also got a banana caramel latte, which isn't up my alley but perfect for my bf. He said he was flabbergasted that he could distinctly taste both banana, caramel, and coffee in each sip. I cannot wait to come back and try their other drinks, but I have a new favorite spot.

One of the reliable coffee shops in DB. I used to come here when it was still Mugs so i was surprised it changed to Outpost! However they did not disappoint. Food: 4/5 I ordered their iced matcha latte with signature foam top. The drink came out to around $7.50 or so. Pretty standard pricing for matcha and it tastes pretty good. Although i had only ordered the plain signature foam top i could taste a hint of banana flavor so im guessing the foam pitcher they used wasn't rinsed properly...? I also ordered a hot mocha latte with oat milk. Probably one of my favorite mocha lattes although the size of the drink is a bit disappointing considering the price. Service: 5/5 Service was great no complaints whatsoever. All staff were very kind. Ambiance:4/5 Great study spot with lots of natural lighting. There are plenty of seats but it gets filled often. I enjoyed the ambiance, feels very welcoming and comfortable.

This replaced what previously was Mugs Coffee, and I liked how they redid the seating so it's more open spaced with plenty of bar seating for working. I just wish they had more outlets available and less stools. It was not too busy when I arrived at 2pm on a weekday, and it wasn't too loud which I appreciated for studying. I tried out their signature latte which came with a cream top, it was like a standard Einspanner drink. I'd come back here again if I was in the area

Everything was sooo great! The employees were inviting and the place was super cute & just a great vibe! The mocha was delicious! We also were swooning over the jalapeño cheddar bagel. It was so good that we got a to go order before leaving of more food, coffee, AND matcha Just really enjoyed the overall service, thank goodness for good baristas 11/10 recommend this place!!

This new coffee shop replaced what used to be The Mugs. Honestly, I like the vibes a lot better. The interior is clean and simple. The service was quick and helpful. The cashier recommended the outpost latte amongst a couple other drinks. The drink itself is pretty good, not sure what it's made of but it tasted nutty. Great place to study/chill with friends. Didn't get any food but they also got food options in case you get hungry or smth.

Outpost coffee was a very nice place to have a meeting or study. There are big windows with lots of natural light. The coffee is really good and they have a variety to choose from. They also have pastries in the morning time.

I found Outpost Coffee and nice corner spot located in a "circular" plaza that's just hard to many stores if you're new to the area. The coffee shop is designed like an open-concept with bright lighting, and area is more communal than a place to relax or chill. I tried the Ube Latte (had the purple color but very vanilla), which wasn't that great, so I probably should've gone with their specialty drink instead - Outpost Latte. They gave me a sample of the Outpost Latte, and it was much better. The strawberry matcha was okay...sweeter than I would had liked. Overall, friendly staff and may need to stop by again to try other drinks.

Both the latter and matcha were delicious! My favorite is the caramel banana latte and I ask for less caramel because it is in the sweet side. The place seems like a good cafe to get some work done at least at the time I went. I love natural lighting and considering this place has beautiful huge windows there is a lot of natural lighting! The service was good my drinks were out pretty quickly after I placed the order and the cashier was friendly and patient when I mentioned to her I was visiting for the first time. The bakery items looked so tasty but I didn't try any this time around... I will definitely be coming back

Visiting from out of town and was getting ready to head back home. I wanted some coffee but love trying local places. I searched what was near by and this was right off the freeway. I got the banana latte and it was great. I got it with the banana cold foam. I also got the guava and cheese danish. The inside is cute and the service was fast and friendly. There was alot of people in there and some sitting at tables working. Seems like a popular local spot. Would visit again

I'm a matcha person so I've only ever gotten their matcha, and if not just their strawberry hibiscus (no longer served), herbal tea, and strawberry milk. I love their selection of matcha: strawberry with chunks. One of the best I've had! Their blueberry matcha is pretty delicious also. The customer service is great. Everyone is kind and efficient. I'd say the baristas kind of keep to themselves though and aren't overly enthusiastic. But overall, still welcoming & nice! The atmosphere is simple with wood seating areas. I like it. However sitting for a long duration can be a little uncomfortable since there's not much back support, but luckily they have a basket with padded pillows to sit on. Recently they added tables along the corner nook area which is great! Aside from that they have little tray-like table tops to set your drinks on or laptops/books/etc; while working. There's also plenty of outlets which is a plus. Not to mention they always seem to have a good playlist goin' :) Oh! & they have outside seating as well underneath shaded umbrellas. My only complaint is it gets really hot in there during the hotter months. Especially since they're facing south and catch all the direct light early on in the day. Don't get me wrong, I love the natural lighting! It's just more prone to getting hotter & I'm not sure if they have A/C. I'm sure they probably do but it's never been exactly cold in there like most coffee shops, mainly room temperature. All in all Grid is a great spot! I highly recommend :)

I didn't really taste the biscoff cookie much though. Matcha is usually hit or miss for me (honestly, I still prefer making it at home lol), but their double matcha iced latte actually hits. You can taste the matcha, and it's super smooth and creamy without being overpowering. If you're into that richer, creamier style of drinks, this place does it right, highly recommend. It's in a shared plaza with markets and restaurants, so parking is easy. Also a great spot to hang out or get some work done, very spacious, trendy, and usually pretty busy, but drinks still come out fast (around 5-10 mins).

I went on a weekday before noon and had no issues with finding a spot. For ordering, they had a kiosk inside with pictures for reference as well. It does accept American Express. After ordering, it only took a few minutes before it was ready. As for the atmosphere, there were a few other people, but they were mindful of noise. The music was also moderate, so I was able to focus without any earphones. There was plenty of seating from the center table to seating at the wall and even window seats. There were outlets available near seatings at the wall. There was also free WiFi as well. At first it indicated you would only have WiFi access for 1 hour. However, after the hour, I reconnected and it refreshed the timer. For my coffee, I decided to get an iced Dalgona latte. They provided many pieces of Dalgona. I did ask to get this at regular sweetness and ice. Overall, after the Dalgona dissolved with the ice, it felt like a good amount of sweetness. It was decent, but I've come back to try other drinks!

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. There's customer internet with password; details are available on the QR code menu. There's also about four electrical outlets. I also appreciated the self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) felt very hidden yet well-maintained. It's a lovely spot. Overall, I had a magical, memorable experience. I ordered the Denver omelette which was delicious and perfectly prepared. None of that overcooked burned egg crust stuff, The omelette was light and fluffy. A good ratio of meat and veggies inside. The home potato's had perfect crusty edges. The green salsa was perfect for those like me who can't take much spice. Coffee was a little strong. The sour dough toast wasn't a true sour dough. It tasted like white bread. Service was a 10 . Mau was friendly and kept checking to see if we needed anything. He usually works at the orange location, I know because I liked his service so well that I asked him. I loved the upbeat music which made for a relaxing leisurely breakfast. It was very clean inside. Bathroom was a plus. It was very clean. No nasty smells or dirty toilet or funky smells. Which is rare. All of the breakfast spots are gone in Rowland Heights/Diamond Bar, Now I have a new breakfast spot. Half Mexican/American breakfast spots.

The customer service wasn't the best -- it felt like the staff could be a bit more attentive and welcoming. The food was okay, not terrible, but not something I'd come back for unless they improve their dishes and add better plate options to the menu. Also, the music was pretty old and a little corny, which threw off the vibe of the place. With better service, improved food choices, and an updated atmosphere, this spot could be much better, and cleaner.

There is a ton of coffee spots in this area and this was the one that was highlighted driving back to Vegas. Coffee: The one I got was their popular item the vanilla sage latte. The gentlemen explained that the beans sit in sage to give it a more balanced taste. He was not wrong, i loved it, and I can't wait to get another one. Service: Friendly and on time on a fairly busy sunday morning. ambiance: this place is awesome, people were either studying, vibing, hanging out with family, rolling solo. There's also a BAR in the same vicinity, which is awesome. There's games to rent, a nice water station. Very hip. This place has all the components to make it a must to stop by. parking: free parking during the day for two hours.

The weekend brunch menu and drinks are to drool over and spectacular to have as a treat-yourself…read morekind of meal. I met up with a friend at Wara Cafe and we had the best time sipping on our Shrek Lattes and eating their Croffles. We ordered the Shrek Latte (Hot) and Shrek Latte (Cold) as our drinks, and both got the Croffle w/ Mixed Berries, Fresh Whipped Cream, Hazelnut Drizzle, and because it was the weekend and my stomach begs for brunch food, I also got their Classic Breakfast which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, side of toast, and salad. Let me tell you and stop you right in your tracks if you're looking at other things on their menu. Their Croffle is top of the line, the best croffle invention I have ever had, and gave me another reason to exist and enjoy life, just so I can eat their Croffles. If you are wondering what it is, it's like a dessert fusion breakfast item in between a croissant and a waffle pressed in a waffle iron. This makes an airy, buttery, crunchy, waffle bite, and it's got me drooling as I am typing this hungry. They pair it here with mixed berries, and their house-made fresh whipped cream. The whipped cream is another story I need to say, because I originally thought it was too much since its a size of an ice cream scoop, but I finished the whole thing and enjoyed every bite of it since it is also one of the best fresh whipped creams I have had. Just get the croffle, OK? 100% gauranteed you will love it and thank me later, please. Also, if I may convince you of another thing. If you love matcha and cinnamon, it is no doubt you will love their Shrek Latte. I read "Matcha, brown sugar, and cinnamon, as their description, and I was immediately sold. Sign me up for another Shrek Latte please, and I'll change my name to Fiona. I absolutely loved it and would order again. The staff here are also beyond friendly, and genuinely sweet. They checked on my friend and I every now and then and made sure we were taken care of. They are all so beautiful, and have such great smiles. I can see why the wait line was so long! I would come back every weekend if I were closer to Wara Cafe, but it just gives me more reason to bring another friend along and make the trip out here. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. My friend and I left with full tummies and a big smile. Thank you!
