First of all. Parking is pretty easy and there's tons of seating. If you want a place to meet where you can find a place to park and sit down then this is a solid choice. I would recommend Panera as a place to have coffee and baked goods, including sandwiches. I had a salad, the chicken balsamic and grains salad. It was a mushy mess and the taste matched the mushy mess. My friend had the harvest medley salad. It looked much better. The small piece of baguette that came with it was the best part of the whole meal. My friend had the kettle chips for her side. The bagged chips were not good at all...a stale oily taste. C'mon now. Chips are always good. How do they mess up chips!? My friend had an oatmeal cookie and said it was really good. I had tea to drink. No complaints there. Some of the tables were dirty, but they seem really short staffed, so I think they are doing the best they can. The man who took our order was really nice and personable. I would go back if I were in the area, but probably keep it simple and just order soup and sandwich, or just go there for coffee and a baked good. I'm a little surprised by the low Yelp rating (2.7 Stars at the time of my review). This location is always busy at lunchtime. Service is friendly and the food is good. They have a self-order kiosk, or you can order in-person at the counter, which is my preference (I like speaking with someone). Grab your pager, find a table, and wait to be buzzed. You do have to pick up your own food, but that's not too bad. I especially love their Broccoli Cheddar Soup, and usually do the half sandwich/cup of soup combo, which comes with a bag of chips or a baguette. read more

This place has completely changed since this year. It was quite dirty before over years so we changed to another location but now we found the young people here really try to make it work better it's much clean and the food is improved too so we come back regularly like before. I often come to this place to eat because it's close to my child's school. A lot of people also come here to work on their laptops, and if you're a student at Mt. SAC, chances are you've been here too. They offer unlimited coffee and drinks, which you can help yourself to, and the monthly membership fee is very affordable--I think it's much cheaper than renting a co-working space. The staff here are also very friendly. As for the food, I think it's decent, though during peak mealtimes the wait can be a bit long. Sometimes groups of students also gather here. I usually end up coming several times a month. You know what's really interesting? There's an older gentleman who always comes in with lots of bottles and secretly fills them up with coffee to take home. Every time he comes, he does it in this mysterious way, but he takes a lot of coffee. Even though the drinks are unlimited, it's not really meant for you to take home. This was a good spot for me to go to during lunch, when I was still working at one of the schools that wasn't far from here. They seem to be quite organized with the way they handle their orders, and I don't find myself waiting any longer than 5 minutes. You can help yourself with your own hot coffee and cold beverages, so it's quite convenient. Honesty, I'm not that big of a fan of the menu items, because they never really have anything I like besides the asiago bagel sandwiches. These sandwiches are like my favorite thing here. I've come here several times and the food for the most part had been fine. The employees/customer service at the register and pick up counter had been fine too. They could learn to check the women's restroom on a more regular basis though. There is always trash on the floor and it's always out of something (toilet paper, paper seat covers, or paper towels). There were 9 of us in our group and we got inside and waited and waited to be helped. I was worried since I was the one who had suggested coming to Panera since it's usually a calm atmosphere and ideal for the conversations I hoped we'd have together! We finally got helped and I realized they were having issues with the register. Some of us used the kiosks and we all finally ordered. I was thinking it would only go down hill from there but it was the total opposite. They had our orders promptly and within a few minutes of each other. We hardly waited and the food was pretty good! Parking was pretty hard to find during the hour too. I liked how convenient it was to order on my phone and just head over to the rapid pickup shelf to grab it, when they messaged me that it was ready. I tried their Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup today with half an order of the Citrus Asian Crunch Salad with Chicken. My cream of chicken soup was more of a creamy potato soup with one piece of chicken. However, the chicken was really dry. The soup itself was okay, but nothing special. I asked for no cilantro on the citrus asian crunch salad, but still got cilantro. I didn't enjoy the salad and wouldn't reorder. First of all, know that it truly pains me to write a negative review about a particular business but it feels like I am encouraging bad behavior and bad customer service if I won't divulged how such business operates based on my experience-- and that, to my judgment, is doing the consumers (the public) some kind of injustice by hiding from them of their right "to know" of which businesses to avoid in order to get their money's worth. So last Monday my daughter and I decided to go to this business to have our breakfast before I brought her to school. My daughter was in her regular school clothes while I, since it's my day off, was wearing only a plain white shirt, jeans and my adidas sandals. We were craving for the breakfast sandwiches but unfortunately the lady at the cashier, looking already frustrated and exasperated, told us in a rather monotonous and nonchalant tone: "Uhm...we don't have sandwiches today. We don't have eggs. Actually, we are quite low on a bunch of our supplies so most of the things on the menu are not available." So we moved to the side so the other customers behind us could make their orders while we decided what else we could get that's available. When we're done, we ordered a cookie, a cold drink, a jalapeño bagel and a coffee. Now it's time to pay. I handed the cashier a $100 bill. She stared at my daughter, then at me, then her eyes went up and down looking at us from head to feet and said: "You can pay with your card or with smaller bills." Politely we said that that's all the money we got. Then she gave us once again that scrutinizing look from head to feet and blurted: "I need to call the manager. I need the pen to check this." A long line was already growing behind us. Her actuation was totally insulting and humiliating since her stares and tone of voice not only made us feel very small--that we are being considered "suspicious" because we were not dressed impressively--but it's breaking our hearts too to realize that we are at that very moment being discriminated blatantly!!! Prior to us, a nicely dressed lady came and bought some bagels and cream cheese. Interestingly, she also paid with a $100 bill and the transaction went through without a glitch--without the manager ever needed or sought to provide a pen to check if the money were authentic or not. But when it's our turn, why is it different? So, I told the cashier: "You know that money is brand new. See that blue seal? That proves it's real." With an irked tone, she replied: "It doesn't matter, I still have to check it because it's a policy." To which I replied: "if that's so, how come you did not check the lady's money before us?" She left me while I was still speaking and called her manager named Ryan who looked for "the pen" but, minutes later, returned empty handed and opted to give us the change without checking our bill simply because he could already hear the customers grunting as to why they were giving us a hard time. Now, tell me, is this a kind of place worth your precious time and hard earned money where certain staff are unabashed to disrespect and discriminate "paying" customers? Your call.
